Sitting In Their Backyards

Pawns once quickly victimized,
Now yawn.
As complaints of those,
Preferring to sit on cushioned seats...
Can be heard comparing themselves,
To the ones accustomed to suffering historically.
The ones limited to nibbling on crumbs of stale cake.
Once thrown to the streets by a hired baker.

And those pawns once used to comfort royal beliefs,
Find those capable of pulling strings...
To aid their own relief,
Now sigh in a grief worse than orphaned children.
Sobbing as their wind swept yachts,
On lawns appear mangled and broken from piers.
Now sitting in their backyards behind lost dreams,
Schemed by decades of achieved demeaning.

Love Lost Broken Hearts

Love Lost Broken Hearts

Within the time love is lost

Thrown asunder into the
Wind

Left

Many broken hearts to live
In loneliness

Broken down piece by piece

Weaken just to mourn a love
That was once beautiful

But Now

Just tossed into the wind

Like the petals from the rose

Destined to ride upon the

Wind

Now used and broken

Just

Tears fills the wind

Sobbing echo's into the night

From the broken hearts
Tossed away like broken
Glass

Ancient and old as the lost
Love is trapped

Within time

Within the mind

Love that is lost from time
Back than

Weaken from the fight trying
To hold their lover heart

But

Cannot be regained

Cannot be mended

Spoiled without even a
'Sigh'

From her lover's heart

Just echo's of hurt and tears

From

The painful ruins of love tied
So strong

Being tossed to the wind as
Unwanted paper

Lonely eyes

Lonely hearts

Lonely tears

Just rides and echo's in the
Wind

Crying out for their love

That cannot be found

So desperately in need

To find their place in

The heart of the wind

That holds all their tears

Their fears

Their Pain

That bleeds into the heart
Of the wind

From The Love That Is Lost

And The Broken hearts..

Graveyard Masquerade

gliding through the grave stones
she walks so silently
passing by concrete slabs
with meaningless words
and lovley boquets

she crys for the souls of the lost
for the living who have lost loved ones
and for the so called gods
who let their children suffer

do they intend to make us go insane
are we just pawns in a twisted game
no words can explain
the sorrow we all hold
suffering are our souls

Chess

Bishops, Kings and Queens unite
upon a squared board black and white,
surround themselves with castles, find
four pairs of pawns to sit behind,
then each side, reinforced by knight,
prepares for battle day and night.

Eight squares by eight make up the field,
the pawns advance until they yield,
as one by one all victims fall
to an advance they cannot stall.
Attacks repelled, a feint concealed,
till mate King's final fate has sealed.

Cake And Eat It

when I was a child
people kept telling me
you can't have your cake
and eat it...

I replied what point
is there to having a cake
if you do not eat it
cake is made to be eaten...

and if the kept cake
is soon not enjoyed eaten
it will be stale turn rotten
be thrown away wasted...

The Puppeteer

Oh master puppeteer
What is it this time.
What's on the agenda today.
Into the fray.
With no delay
Pulling strings that cause so much dismay.

It is still the cost is on our shoulders.
Leader of nothing.
With words of speeches that have no meaning.
They fell for it hook line and sinker.
Now it is time to pull off the shroud.
Show them the monster I really am.
Satan aint got sh! * on him.

Oh master puppeteer
What is it this time.
What's on the agenda today.
Into the fray.
With no delay
Pulling strings that cause so much dismay.

They say we love him.
But it was his false claims and ideas.
Given up as soon as he got in.
A solution to a problem we created.
How come now we feel so jaded.
We were once again manipulated.

Oh master puppeteer
What is it this time.
What's on the agenda today.
Into the fray.
With no delay
Pulling strings that cause so much dismay.

Promise broken, dreams stolen.
All by this man who rides in on a white horse.
He looks promising lets keep him for another term.
Oh where do we sign.
He says there on the dotted lines.
He claims he's the ender of all suffering.
And I say I haven't seen this yet.
I feel so abandon by this master.

Oh master puppeteer
What is it this time.
What's on the agenda today.
Into the fray.
With no delay
Pulling strings that cause so much dismay.

The Humble Pen

What dreams we have
We share with the pen.
What love we find,
We share with the pen.
What happiness we find,
We share with the pen.

When our soul bleeds,
We find solace in the pen.
When our hearts are broken,
We find comfort in the pen.
When all hope is lost,
We find salvation in the pen.

And when we leave this mortal coil
We will leave the pen,
For our Children to pick up.

For the pen, is a rainbow,
For our dreams, hopes and fears
Where the heart and soul has a voice
Where love resides for your fellow man,
And where beauty is found everywhere

It confirms our existence, our beliefs.
And though our lives are brief
It is a noble quest,
A gift of love to the world,
And a seed of hope,

So Let the children plant and nurture this hope
And they too will see the rainbow.
Let this legacy nourish their lives
With love and beauty,
And let the humble pen go on,
To find the next voice,
The next chapter on this wonderful planet, we call Earth

Lost and Bewildered Without Their Masters

When the false light of the self righteous dims,
Fades to go out.
Will beliefs of survivors clash?
Will those who were taught to trash themselves...
Feel orphaned,
With an emptiness?

Identities thought theirs,
Should have never been adopted!
Identities given...
Should have long been dismissed!

When the false light of the self righteous dims,
Fades to go out...
Will the pouting observed be replaced with shouts,
Of glee deserved?
Or will those disenchanted,
Find their addictions unbearable?

They have become accustomed to suppressive customs!
Entertained at their detriment!
And now lost and bewildered without their masters!

When the false light of the self righteous dims,
Fades to go out.
Will beliefs of survivors clash?
Will those who were taught to trash themselves...
Feel orphaned,
With an emptiness?

How will they fill the hollowness,
Of their existence then,
When this happens!

Anemic Capitalism

Communism is a fraud
But anemic capitalism aint no saint
The poor and marginalized
Not counted
Just pawns to be exploited

In the richest empire
Schools are on fire
Let the children out
For the penal system
Is a business

Barely covered
The breast cancer mother
Turned away
And away
From her hospital bed
She has two children
But no health insurance
The reporter said

Communism is a fraud
But anemic capitalism aint no saint
The poor and marginalized
Not counted
Just pawns to be exploited

He worked sixty hours a week
At the factory
Could not make ends meet
Tried to organize
And was fired
Last Friday

Enactments

Now that their feelings of betrayal...
And being disgruntled,
Have a rawness about it...
They believe there is a commonness,
Left to express those displeasures...
With those historically distressed.

Those they would normally regard as pests!
And that was just...
Yesterday!

With their duress confessed,
During these suppressed times...
They seem to quickly display,
A discomforting selfishness...
They wish would go away,
To unwind and leave behind.
Like keys left with the butler or maid.

If not for temporary and sentimental reasons!

When the times were good for them...
They would not be seen,
Appearing in daylight...
With 'those' disadvantaged on urban streets.
Exposing their faces on such scenes.
And rubbing shoulders,
With these 'underlings' they meet!

'These surroundings?
How gouache.
Tasteless.
And so unbecoming! '

They would have ignored them,
As not being among those blessed!
They would have compared their separateness...
By comparing acquired materialism,
That kept them feeling falsely blessed.

But somehow their current fellowship expressed,
Seems more like a pretentiousness hiding a desperation.
And spreading a shallow attempt,
To solicit empathy from those who can least afford it.
Those who know who 'they' are!
And why they have been kept by 'them' suppressed.

Those things they once had,
No longer provides the escape...
From their insecurities now exposed.
So they have 'chosen' to be amongst the poor.
To uplift a hollowness...
Left from a loneliness of an emptiness felt.
Somehow,
This can not be easily erased.
Or from them now to go ignored.
Or replaced...
As one awaits for delivered luggage,
To leave quickly a bad vacation.

Especially when faces of a different hue...
Reminds them of a racistness they inflicted,
And kept in place to subdue...
In brutal disrespect.

Who knew these times would be so stinging.
Leaving so many unprepared?
To unpack cares and fresh hints of concern.

Now 'they' appear as if in research...
Seeking a way to find a comfort.
One that is not as demeaning as seen,
Or vividly portrayed...
By those who seem professional,
Recreating enactments placed upon them...
To do that poverty 'thing'
Done so well!

Conducting Business

Within the walls of their lofty dreams,
There are many who live seeking...
Fame, fortune and notoriety for their efforts.
And they keep beliefs from limited visions...
What is sought,
Is going to be given.

Not true said one wise who tried to enlighten them.
And because wisdom like this was accessible,
Attempts to share it...
Was thought to be from one,
Ego driven.
And of course familiarity breeds contempt.
So in one ear and out the other...
What was shared,
In the air it went!

Within the walls of their lofty dreams,
There are many who live seeking...
Fame, fortune and notoriety for their efforts.
And they keep beliefs from limited visions...
What is sought,
Is going to be given.

Although these folks still believe,
Simply having talents will bring them notoriety.
Being able to market and package one's craft...
Guarantees an attention one day comes to last.
And those sitting on the sidelines,
Laughing at the ones that get things done...
Learn too late,
How conducting a successful 'business'...
Eventually stands on its own legs to run!

Many do not get this.
They believe their bubbles blown...
Take flight if protected in plastic.
But if not shielded in titanium,
With no faith attached to them...
Drifting dreams will quickly burst.
To leave those without vision...
Discouraged,
Over and over and over again!

Unfounded By Hearsay

I spent five months,
Recuperating in a hospital...
Once.
And feeling depths of isolation,
With drifting expectations.

I have learned much about others,
And their assumptions...
Unfounded by hearsay.
And those weakened by their own beliefs.

Blessed I am to have had experiences,
Many with closed mindsets...
Have yet in their limited realities,
Been exposed to have bestowed.

And I have more of an understanding,
Of those who have managed to live alone...
With a pulling up of their bootstraps,
And to ignore those trapped...
With nothing else to offer but passed judgements,
Within walls of their false comfort zones.
And believing them to remain like that forever.

I have learned much about others,
And their assumptions...
Unfounded by hearsay.
And those weakened by their own beliefs.

If someone lies long enough to themselves,
And feed their lies to others to believe...
Reality,
When it finally arrives...
Is worse than facing a created enemy.

Preferring to Align Yourself With Routine

Remember...
Truth is not what you decide it is.
If you are suffering from the acknowledgement of it...
And can not free yourself from an assortment of beliefs,
There is nothing about truth you will accept.

Even if God answered your prayers...
You would still be in denial.
Preferring to align yourself with routine.
And not a deliverance with concrete meaning.
That would be too much reality!
Wouldn't it?

You could not live without relying upon delusions.
Or an embellishment of your activities.
You've become accustomed to structure,
And dictation.
With a place to hide where you can go lie to yourself.
Concealed in neurotic freedoms.
