Send the Others Away

There is a representation of emptiness.
A vacuum of thought.
And a process from that disconnected.
Even though incompetent,
They do have winning personalities.
And that alone is the mark of a leader.
Send the others away.
I think we have chosen our candidates,
To run for the next election.

SUBJECTS NOT MENTIONED Mar 31st,2011

Why is dying with dignity hidden as an election subject?
By the people we are compelled to elect and can’t suspect,
Why is binding referendums never mentioned out there?
I can see you now looking around saying, “What and Where? ”

Because these subjects are kept hidden by the Ottawa elites,
They want to keep their parliamentary or Senate seats,
No proportional representation instead of first-past-the-post,
Because when three candidates ran, guess who got the most?

The opposition candidates together got more votes,
Therefore more people opposed the winner’s winning quotes,
So much for democracy when the looser is allowed to win,
And proportional representation is considered a major sin.

Set Date Elections Mar 1st,2011

So we are not going to have an election anytime soon,
We don’t have set-date elections now or during a full moon,
Where referendums and propositions are completely banned,
Are you having a problem with this or don’t you understand?

And proportional representation is banned in first-past-the-post,
Though the combined opposition candidates had many more votes,
And you can’t elect your prime minister using his/her name,
The name on the ballot is a party member – not the same.

And first past the post wins in all our elections,
Proportional representation forbidden and no objections,
There is no doubt about it but that the good guys should win,
And most of the other types should all begin again.

Socially Entertaining

An election took place,
For a hand picked representation.
And those who went through,
The process of selection...
Knew without a doubt,
Their interests would be prioritized.

But what was done,
Was a selection of those...
Who represented 'image'.
And those surfaced pretentions,
Were those that won!

Now they conduct debates,
Trying to motivate an implementation...
Of those promises stated.

But those who made promises,
To represent image...
Are too incompetent to deliver,
An accountability...
That a socially entertaining personality,
Is hard pressed to comprehend.

And...
How what it is that they do,
Can be remotely associated with disappointment!
Since attending all high profiled parties to network,
Is exactly what they are qualified to accomplish.

A creation of a defeat had been done.
With a guarantee of it to fill the atmosphere.
But no one expected it to be theirs,
With an abundance of polluted air...
As a shared bonus for their successful efforts.

Images of Power

Fading ideological preferences,
In the face of realities...
Many find difficult to do,
Is coming close to the edge...
Of closure that exposes,
Those who believe their political postering...
Has something to do with integrity.
Or the decency of showing one to be,
Less incompetent...
And more of a human being.

But in times we live today,
Folks who are deluded with sustaining...
Images of power,
Will do so...
Regardless,
If every inch of ground they stand on...
Is shaking!
And crumbling from beneath their feet.
Maintaining a mindset of unpreventable failure...
They would rather keep as a meaningful representation,
Of a weak thought process.

Cultural Prophets

Cultural prophets observing nonstop,
That which appears...
Disconnected from a thought process.
Are not too willing to converse,
With those unconscious.
Those professing to take steps to the right...
To declare those stepping to the left,
As idealists unable to conform to the norm.
Although that 'norm' has brought upon much duress.

Cultural prophets observing nonstop,
That which appears...
Disconnected from a thought process.
Are not too willing to converse,
With those unconscious.
Since the ones who are unconscious...
Can not accept the mess they've left.
To address with a correcting of it.

There was a time

when a filled up space of sorrow
a jigsaw of mixed emotions
cried for emptiness
more tolerable than pain
but nothing is...just that
nothing
horrifying vacuum space
which is why
some people choose...pain
and when they get too much of it
some people choose...vacuum
pain...vacuum...pain...vacuum

there is a time for a smile as well?

The LT

LT (pronounced El Tee) was the name used by grunts in Vietnam for a second lieutenant and platoon leader. Sometimes it was used as a mark of approbation, a term of respect for a soldier and leader of men in combat. Too often, however, the term expressed disrespect and loathing for a cowardly soldier, an officer who was incompetent in the field and was afraid to fight. The LT in my story entitled 'Draftee' is one of the latter.

Twenty years old and a recent graduate of OCS, the LT has been assigned to a platoon whose sergeant is twenty years his senior.

How Do We Get Ottawa Control Mar 15 2011

What we need to do to control Ottawa is change things around,
How does binding referendums and compulsory voting sound?
Our politicians are busy taxing and spending and more,
It’s not easy to get their attention – not now or before.

We don’t have set-date elections and weighed down with first-past-the post,
Where with three candidates, the combined opposition may have more votes,
Where proportional representation is completely banned,
Regardless of how much the opposition scream and demand.

They expect to win the next election and maybe they will,
Then they will celebrate here and there and up on Parliament Hill,
But how do we impress our politicians that we need to change?
And why should our democratic ideas be so strange?

One of the problems we saw in the last presidential election in our party is that our nominee, while winning the election, which we ought never to forget, often lost sight of the difference between strategy and tactics.

This Process

This process.
As difficult as it is,
Gives an ease that seems to flow.
There is a representation that creates an image.
And that picture painted,
Allows what is in one mind to another show.

This process can also deliver emotions as well.
And the skill of it,
Can bring hardened eyes to soften with tears.

This process can even produce a fear.
With a rushing done by someone stunned,
To run from room to room...
With the turning on of every light,
With something firmly tight held near.

This process can invite those feelings of love.
And melt a cold shoulder.
Or...
Even heat a flame under burning sheets.

This process can also get extremely tired.
With a nodding of a process,
That introduces...
Sleep!

Newt Gingrich had to work hard - getting Republican candidates to sign the Contract with America - to nationalize the election that swept Republicans to victory in 1994. A Democratic anti-Tea Party campaign would do that for the Republicans - nationalize the election, gratis - in 2010.
