Selfish Needs

Like the Sun comes to lick the frost,
Where the chilled air had laid at dawn...
So much of what has been coated
And disguised under quick and cooled mists,
Lifts when daylight heats.
And we again surrender to our whims,
To satisfy selfish needs!
As long as we can afford to maintain them.

You See Life With a Wish to Leech

You,
Are much too negative.
And you wish to impose it,
Upon those who oppose it.

You,
See life with a wish to leech.
To satisfy selfish whims.
You are in it to gain.
Not to lose but to win.

And there is nothing wrong,
With desiring success.
But you wish it to be given...
Believing the taking of it,
Brings you a happiness.

You,
Are much too negative.
And you wish to impose it,
Upon those who oppose it.

You,
See life with a wish to leech.
To satisfy selfish whims.
You are in it to gain.
Not to lose but to win.

No matter who you choose,
To endure your sufferings.

Will you tell me
All your secrets
Could you really be sincere
Whisper all your inhibitions
The things you most fear
Dont turn away
I want to get to know you in the worst, worst way
Come back baby come back
Come back baby come back
Come back baby come back
Surrender su-su-surrender to me
Surrender su-su-su-su-surrender

All your treasures
That wich is most near and dear
Share with me your

Not just some souvenirs
Dont be afraid
A little tiny bit can go a long long way
Come back baby come back

To Please As Wished

Could we meet...
To discover we can work our needs out?
Or will this just be another 'experience'...
To satisfy momentarily.
As we scout about with doubts.
Hoping to meet someone that suits our preferences...
Complete with whims.
And a tolerance for our immaturity.
To please as wished!
To maintain a happiness,
At their expense.

Surrender

(nickolas ashford/valerie simpson)
I want the love that you deny me
That I need so desperately
The tenderness that you posses
Youve deprived me
You must pray for the lonely night
That I walked the floor for you
And dont know you must erase
All the tearstairs on my face
Surrender your love baby
Surrender your love
Surrender your love baby
Surrender your love
Dont you know that Im taking my case
To the highest court of love
And these are some of the charges
Youll be found guilty of
Youve used me and abused me
till I felt like I wanted to die
You created a need in me
That only you can satisfy
Surrender your love baby
Surrender your love
Come along peacefully
Surrender your love baby
Surrender your love
Give it to me, ah right now
Give it to me, give it to me
Give it to me all, give it to me
Ah, right now, give it to me
Give it to me, give it to me
Surrender your love baby
Surrender your love
Surrender your love baby
Surrender your love
Surrender your love baby
Surrender your love
Surrender your love baby
Surrender your love

Grip, Lick, Zip Up and Leave

Remove me from your cruising list.
I know what you see.
And believe is me.
But my mind aint into it.

Although physically I may tease...
I'm much more than just a piece of fresh meat,
To eat for a fast treat.
So you can grip, lick, zip up and leave.

I'm not that kind of adventurist.
Not with chumps or chicks...
Who need to satisfy a munching done,
Applied to their overstretched lips.

'Put your metal to the pedal.
And get over it! '

Remove me from your cruising list.
I am out to take a peaceful stroll.
I'm not into 'quickies'
To be picked up by slick tricks.

Nor do I have interests to submit myself,
To limits of whims to hit it and split.

Giving into temptations like them?
Me?
I aint into it.
Especially when there are no long range benefits,
Invested with romance connected.

'No 'YOU' are the one who don't know what time it is!
If you knew that you wouldn't be trying to waste mine.

Go home to your spouse.
Or whoever it is you lie to! '

Remove me from your cruising list.
I know what you see.
And believe is me.
But my mind aint into it.

So you aint gripping to lick!
But you can zip up and leave.

Cold Front

The white noise truly haunts me
So chilled by varying degrees...
Covered in the frost of days of old-
Much like the ice covering the trees;
Lending no warmth to our bones nor marrow-
No where to build that: 'Proverbial Fire'
Hypothermia 'tis quick to always set in...
Longing for the gentle heat of Summers Inspire;
Long gone 'tis my Muse of warmer circumstance...
Of back when my days were filled with sunshine-
Yes, back in the day-when Summer -was the only way-
Back then-when you and the world were mine;
Today, i am chilled to the very bone and the marrow...
In silent repose, i now simply wait--
For the thaw of Winter to melt into Spring...
I await, the questionable degrees of my fate!

Daylight Katy

She walks be the sea where the seaworld is
And she waits for the man to come
She lives in town with her high-heeled friends
And she knows its a long way down
But she doesnt have to get up in the morning
With her hair so soft and long
Daylight katy come on
Daylight katy come on
If you cant follow me down
Daylight katy go home
Daylight katy come on
Daylight katy come on
If you cant follow me down
Daylight katy go home
She walks to the sea where the seaweed is
Where the rust and the dirt runs deep
She lives nine lives in her midnight world
While her old mans fast asleep
And she doesnt have to get up in the mornin
With her hair so soft and long
Daylight katy come on
Daylight katy come on
If you cant follow me down
Daylight katy go home
Daylight katy come on
Daylight katy come on
If you cant follow me down
Daylight katy go home
She lives by the sea when the summer wind comes
And the sea dont mind at all
She talks to the sea when the sea runs wild
And the waves run steep and tall
And she doesnt have to get up in the mornin
With her hair so soft and long
Daylight katy come on
Daylight katy come on
If you cant follow me down
Daylight katy go home
Daylight katy come on
Daylight katy come on
If you cant follow me down
Daylight katy go home

Outlines

The tufted gums along the rise
Stand black against the evening skies.
And in the red west sombreing
As daylight dies,
A simple moon-the loveliest thing.
I love outlines. It may be
Some old wise heritage in me,
For well we know that finite mind
Calls for the bounded and defined.
Though random fancy loves to range
The aimless mists of dawn, and strange
Lovely illusions in the sky
That charm and lie,
Something there is in mortal man
Must have a margin and a plan;
And Truth the tyrant has decreed
For human need,
Limit and form since thought began.
This long bold mountain line is true,
But not those changing whims I see
Gleamy and vague and visionary
In air-built blue.
Deep in the soul we understand
Our nature's mystical demand
For the old sane austerities:
O pilgrim of a homeless land,
Hold fast to these.
Across the stumbling centuries
The eyes of men turn backward still
To a firm Cross upon a hill.

Candy Coated Dream

Such bitter sweetness falls within a candy coated dream
the place where hope extends beyond the sugar coated scheme
as we dance and dance, around the candy cane sticks
Prancing hand in hand, as we come to one we both lick
Love blooms as we meet in a kiss, like in Lady and the Tramp
Our candy kingdom ruled by two, as the umpa lumpa's dance
We walk through the land, and gaze forever into each other's eyes
And then climb the steps to ride down the milk chocalatey slide
Landing in a pool of such wonderfully pure sweetness
We embrace in a hug, that like the chocolate, is made of pure greatness
As I watch you get out of the pool covered in chocolate like a 100 Grand
Looking like my favorite candy, which melts in my mouth, not in my hand
We laid together on the ground like a twizler all rolled up in one
Both nibbling at each other, until our hearts both became undone
Forever to this day I will declare you my lollipop queen
Such beautiful sweetness falls inside a candy coated dream

Your Nakedness

I have seen your nakedness and still,
Youi arre hiding it from me;
Oh, how sweet is your love zone that,
I will use it one day.

You are so beautiful in your nakedness and,
I will visit at dawn to make love to you;
Please, let me come in to satisfy you.

You are all alone and you need love,
But all in the name of love to satisfy you.
You are all alone and you need someone like me,
But do not give up when you see me at your doors;
Please, let me in to satisfy you.

You need someone like me and,
I am ever ready to satis fy you with my love;
So, try to let me in to love you all night long.

Frosted Glass

Frost flowers on my windowpane.
Jack Frost has visited again.
I always know when he's been here.
Because pretty patterns appear
As if by magic overnight.
A tracery of sparkling white.
A sight that sure to satisfy.
The most discerning artist's eye.
It's beautiful though transient.
Frost paintings can't be permanent.
It will last for an hour or two.
Before it melts as it's sure to.
Frost flowers bloom beneath the moon.
‘til morning comes alas too soon.

Freedom and Right to Enjoy Life

Shallow are those joys bought on good credit.
And gifts expected to remain treasured forever.
That just does not happen...
When temptations tease to release,
Greed from us.
To toss about a tantrum or two,
Thrown to hook a guilty conscious.
And how can we teach children to be patient,
To receive a success for hard work applied?
When adults are observed crying daily...
About 'things' they can not buy to satisfy,
Whims they don't need but believe they can afford!
Everyone ignores the freedom and right to enjoy life.
It is always someone else's fault why they can not buy it!

The Fire That Burns

A surge is welling up inside me,
I feel a fire,
and it burns.

I write,
and the fire is cooled.

I teach,
and the fire is cooled.

A knot is tied up inside me,
I have to undo it,
help me, Lord.

I compose,
and the fire is cooled.

I profess,
and the fire is cooled.

This feeling I have,
the fire that is burning me,
it is a passion,
a passion for Jesus.

What Incentive Would They Have...

Those upper crust need not be butter uppers.
You or anyone else will not find them,
Trying to impress with mispronounced quotations,
Used to address the interest of those captivated...
By proper etiquette or ivy league schools selected,
To attend at the benefit of their well dressed children.
Not when one can afford,
To buy 'who' and what they want to satisfy whims.
Not them!

What incentive would they have,
To make attempts to publicly flaunt their wealth?
Folks like this can claim to own the air others breathe.
And to pollute it if they chose to do it,
The moment they decided to do this to leave...
If anyone dared to believe,
Their doing it was a joke!
And to impress anyone who insisted,
What incentive would they have to do this?

Selfish

I am selfish
You are selfish
He is selfish
She is selfish

We all are selfish
To a lesser or a
Greater degree...

Let's not
Stay in denial.

Let's accept
Our selfishness
So that if people
Are selfish to us,
It hurts us less.

Forgotten to Bring a Pad and Pen

With my writings...
I would love to communicate,
With a clarity comprehended.
But the levels of misunderstanding...
Have increased.
And concepts one chooses simplified...
Does not provide growth.
Even though ignorance,
Does seem to attract more attention!
And having conversations with myself...
Has not convinced one bystander,
That I was intelligent at all!
Not if I am the one witnessing
Any one of them on any given day...
Whispering in the ear of a policeman,
Who suspiciously glances my way!
And on those days,
Wouldn't you know it...
I had forgotten to bring a pad and pen?
And to memorize my thoughts,
Of course...
They had to be said over and over...
And over again!

'Yes officer...
I am a writer.
'Lick me quick! Lick me quick! '
Was not a reference made to that young lady at all!
You see...
I write in double entendres!
And I...'

Fairy Frost

Before the dawn, the fairy, Frost, flies free
Amongst the dewy grassblades on the lawn.
She drapes her feathers on each branch and tree
Before the dawn.

As if she were to rule an empire born,
White as the bloom upon the cherry, she
Drifts over gardens with a haughty scorn.

With angel wings she flits, just like Queen Bee,
But, as the blackness of the night is torn
To shreds by sunlight, Fairy Frost must flee
Before the dawn.

Quick

Quick to dismiss,
That which is misunderstood.
And quick to do this often.
Because one can and could.

Quick to define something wrong.
Quick to complain about it,
All day long.
Quick to sit to nitpick and pull apart.
As if this quickness was intended from the start.

Quick to resist a comprehension that exist.
Quick to allow a temper tantrum fit.
Quick to whip up excuses...
And split to disappear.

Quick to discover the nearest exit!
That's what troublemakers do...
When they stir up others in raging fits!

Never Surrender

Come on!
Come on!
Come on!
Come on!
Praying for the good times
So long to the bad times
Baby are you ready here we go!
Turn you up there's no limit
As long as you're in it
Give it all you got just let it show
Are you in for the fast ride
I'll take you out on the wildside
Are you in for the fast ride
Living life on the faultline
Are you in for the fast ride
I'll take you out on the wildside
Are you in for the fast ride
Do it, do it, you can do it
Never ever never ever surrender
Let all your dreams come true
Never ever never ever surrender
We will make it through
Never ever never ever surrender
If you want it too
It's all up to you, don't ever surrender!
Oh yeah - Never surrender
You've got the power
It's yours to devour
Go where you have never been before
Never stop when you're winning
It's only beginning
You don't have to fake it anymore
Are you in for the fast ride
I'll take you out on the wildside
Are you in for the fast ride
Living life on the faultline
Are you in for the fast ride
I'll take you out on the wildside
Are you in for the fast ride
Do it, do it, you can do it
Never ever never ever surrender
Let all your dreams come true
Never ever never ever surrender
We will make it through
Never ever never ever surrender
If you want it too
It's all up to you, don't ever surrender!
Never surrender!
Never surrender!
Do it, do it !
You can do it!
Never ever never ever surrender
Let all your dreams come true
Never ever never ever surrender
