Light Lifts Life's Temporal Mists
LIGHT LIFTS TEMPORAL MISTS
Serenity sanctions situational satire
melody making amends for mocking or melancholy's
defeating didactic distance, dispersal dire.
Latent light lifts life's temporal mists. Temptation's solely
uncomplemented search, soul speech sold short -
self renunciation and spiritual bankruptcy,
pride ride deciding in place of reason caught
in vain idio[t]syncratic explanations compensatory.
Dreams dissipate defensive disillusions dilatory,
self-confidence enhances enchantment, ire's
importance wanes whie faith wraith fades instantly
fuss dust fears fall to doughty desires.
Thoughts? Fear fiction proves when facts are shown
triumphant, time and tide soon overthrown.

As Time Slips By - Acrostic Sonnet
As time sleeps by love’s tide [s]weeps sluggard, cold,
Slow beats heart's flow, forgets dreams' heats once sought.
Then, fragile, faith wraith cobwebs spins, sins caught
In Time’s equation web. Where once soul bold
Made music wild, filed, passion dims, short-sold.
Existence pales, stales, fails, - loves tales abort -
Sheds goals, gaols aims at joys ‘chance’ might have brought -
Little cares how life’s tale may unfold.
Inspiration wanes, fears stranglehold,
Plaintive soul retreats to shell, distraught,
Second hand experiences, thought,
Buy time, dismiss love from life's centrefold.
Yawning the abyss which, biding time,
shall swallow every line and every rhyme.

Passed By
As time drifts by Love’s tide flows coward, cold,
Slow beats sad heart, lost far from dreams once sought.
Too little lust, - blades rust, in cobwebs caught -
In time fires dim which once, in times of old,
Moved untamed ecstasy, flame bold.
Existence paled until encounter brought
Potency restored, fresh friendship taught
A focus fresh, let energies unfold.
Some dreams remain, most vain, in stranglehold
Spirit stifled, struggle not as thought
Experience leaves feelings dulled, distraught,
Dismisses soul from life's bright centrefold.
But chance encounter sets in timeless motion
Yen to advance, to share inspired emotion...

Longford Dawns
Of course not all the watchers of the dawn
See Severn mists like forced-march mists withdraw
London has darkness changing into light
With just one quarter hour of any weight.
Casual and common is the wonder grown, -
Time's duty to lift lights curtain up and down.
But here Time is caught up clear in Eternity
And draws as breathless life as you or me.

Loosing in life
A bridge of sadness on desires
no support to endless pride
no faith on help less glory
shadows bleeding due to fear
tear is crying like never
dreams ended with blood
shadows on a corner crying
being mad without any reason
fears sounding there dolls
celebrating their victory
on a breeze of light air
dancing before crying shadows
bridges of sadness on desires
no support to endless pride
no faith on endless glory
Litotes II
Mighty fall, all dust returns to dust
As pride's joy-ride proves vain, life's flame departed.
Uncertain is our sojourn, iron's rust
Describes swift cycle's spin before it's started.
Effervescence, foaming at the mouth,
Makeshift bubbles evanescent blows
Away where no-one knows, East, West, North, South.
Unworthiness pares pomp, hour's power lids close.
Despair in turn prepares for disappointment,
Efforts vain, pain plain, refrain cut short,
Most fail to meet their goals, keep youth's appointment,
AUguries by contradictions caught.
Despite profanum vulgus' anguished cries
Each rule finds one exception rules defies!

Another Force
He is there as times are strong, guiding us thru right and wrong,
With His sure and steady hand, in ways we may not understand.
But, He guides unbelievers too, as He guided both me and you,
Before we came to the Cross, when we were also spiritually lost.
Upon this temporal earthly course, there’s another spiritual force,
Vying for the lost souls of men, hoping they remain condemned,
The very one who caused the fall, would keep men in a sinful lull,
Keeping men indifferent to Truth, so that they see God’s reproof.
The opposing Truth is Salvation, found in God’s Holy Revelation,
God’s written Word for all to read; His Eternal Truth all men need,
To be liberated from sin’s curse, that eternally will only get worse,
And Jesus Christ is the only key, for freedom that spans eternity.
With Satan’s time running short, God’s Holy Word, he will distort,
As Satan continues to deceive, all men who may want to believe.
An influence of wrong not right, to sway them deep into the night,
Less their eyes be open to light, and see Truth with spiritual sight.
Darker principalities of this world, have darker forces yet unfurled,
With Satan’s time nearing the end, he desires your soul my friend,
But if Truth is a choice you make, your soul, the devil cannot take,
Instead, you’ll be sealed by Christ, to enter with Him into Paradise.

For Silence
I wish to be an amaranth
amidst a place
of enveloped silence, of awkwardness.
How can silence sound
deafening, or consume
one's spirit, leaving the body
weary, futile?
For silence is minute by minute serenity,
a moment of soul searching,
of pacifying temporal desires and
dreams cleansed of worldly attachments.
For silence can be nothingness
amalgamated with truth.
For silence can be stupidity,
dullness, inactivity
transfigured wisdom.
Amidst a place of enveloped silence,
of awkwardness,
i can be an amaranth,
a topaz,
a princess.

The Enchantment of Birds.
Winter green, showing dark in morning haze of fractured warmth
Of tall shadows cast in absence of light upon empty air
Of ephemeral breezes that dusk among bough arched halls
Where light glanced threads stitch the ground and make joyful a prison of twined trees
Who fall in ungainly ranks that dress on, innumerable and innominate
With needles to splinter the clustered light for the specklings of dust that show it off
All is a prelude to the more timid green of spring
Sails of new hope dawning carry each restless stride
From leaf brown shore to moss green isle and on some feral bearing
That tacks its way in the gentle company of ‘nothing much to do' and ‘everything to see'
The passage continues, into the deep green of fir woods
Through sun wrought mists to an end
An end that is not ‘yet' or ‘now' or even ‘soon to be'
And so in looking through the miles of absent time
Between this living slope and that, shown in clearest motion
The perfection of what is
This thing, this all in the enchantment of birds

Content In The Lord
I want to be content down here, while we live upon this earth,
Living each day in Godly fear, with a focus on eternal worth,
A sojourner on a temporal sphere, in the power of New Birth,
Making it to others very clear; Heaven’s home, not this earth.
Within my heart I take a stance, as God’s Truth I do embrace,
Since He knows all in advance, content I can be in any place,
Content through any circumstance, whatever it is I must face,
For in God, there is no chance, as He supplies all with Grace.
Life on this present terrestrial ball, isn’t the final place for me,
Nor will it be for every other soul, as all shall move to eternity,
And I’m content through it all, having my faith through Calvary,
As God saved me from the fall, and gave me new eyes to see.
I can be content now every day, while I live out this earthly life,
Walking down life’s narrow way, lead by my Lord Jesus Christ,
Hindered not by what men say, as they fill the world with strife,
I will listen to The Lord and obey, while living a life of sacrifice.
I can live my life assured, that I am always in my Savior’s sight,
As all the rivers of life I can ford, guided by The Savior’s Light,
Contented to live for my Lord, even when it gets dark as night,
As His Peace on me is poured, with my future Eternally Bright.

Beata Elizabeth - 1970
Beyond time's wall what scene is set
Eden's wish whet? or Lethe wet?
As wistful look closed book perceives
Time swallows all while beauty grieves
At evanescence, doomsday met.
Entrapped all mortals are, beget
Life for a season, for fall's leaves
Inters as dust all Man conceives.
Zero sum rule of thumb, each bet
Alas seems, double-b[l]ind roulette
Ball calls black wrack while victim heaves
Extenuated sigh, bereaves
The search for traces all forget.
Here dawn's in pawn, by dusk paid debt,
Bloom sere on stem, threads interweave
Events and causes, petty peeve
And high ideal peel off, Death's net
Takes all, calls bluff, rough, smooth, soothe, fret.
Awake, asleep, deep, light, believe
Each reaches for some signed reprieve,
Life answers dreams with epithet
Inane as pain, disdain, pour. Yet
Zoom in on sundial: none achieve
Autonomy, life's make-believe
Behind mind's phantom mime, cold sweat
Extinguished soon as amorette
Turns just dust, rust no soul retrieves,
Hurt heart outpoured ignored, jet set
Beggars share unredeemed regret.
Ephemeral, brief stays deceive
As last-gasp fails when Reaper's sheave
Together binds good, evil, upset
Are plans of mice and men. Rossette,
Exiled, proves faith wraith, baseless bet
Life uploads ere dumb tomb receives
Inglorious remains wreath wreathes.
Zig-zag between birth berth duet,
Add R.I.P. or urned tablet,
Bitter-sweet each journey proves
ETHereal, trace Time removes.

Older Than Time
Older than time,
I have been around, always,
To light up your life.
Your eyes glittered and shown
As my light was reflected there,
Making them sparkle
On your very first date.
I was there
When you dined
And danced the night away
With the man you loved,
The man of your dreams.
I was there
The day you wed,
To light your way
Down the aisle,
Straight into
Your lover's arms.
I was the light
You lighted
At the birth
Of your first child,
And I saw your smile
I was the light
That trimmed the tree
At Christmas time
As the children danced
With excitement and glee,
Waiting for Santa.
I was the light
By which you saw
That first grandchild,
And I saw your tears
And I heard your prayers.
I have seen your life,
Your sadness,
Your joy...
And when you leave this place,
I shall light your bier.

Sundog Cataract
What seems sundog high by spry cataract
deserves a deeper look. Another light
reveals imagination's flow intact
Speed current echoes time's trip, clouds take flight
Waterfalls with dreams may interact
catalyze sense streams to spring insight
stimulate synaptic leaps spray backed
enhancing surf spill spells, responses bright
show space where cataract wraith-wracked
blinded with self-denial dark. Winged white
eddies fantastic, swirl-whirl, fears backtracked
ring confidence to share, bring twinned delight
Time riffles rift, strange spume fast sprays, gifts room
Rhyme ripples swift, change dooms past's plays, lifts gloom

May what to some sunset on cataract
Appears at first sight, seen in other light
Unveils anticipation not the act
Draws sunrise, current's flow, woe's clouds in flight.
Each waterfall dreams stimulates, intact
Catalyzes stream sense, springs insight.
One's neverneverland? Blend nuance backed?
Revealed enchantment spills surf's answers bright
Revealing zones where mist before seemed wracked
In doubt and self-denial. Surf's wings white,
Eddies fantastical, swirl-whirl fears backtracked,
Ripple confidence, key shared delight.
Answers riffle home, fresh foam may flow
Splicing known once sown with what tomorrows show

Mama
Behind every life a Weaver ultimately
stands shrouding His plan for every man.
Dark threads are needful in the Master's
skillful hands for He knows the pattern He has planned.
What tapestry in mama's heart He wove, the
sacrifice self was decomposed. Love was
her goal, to train me up in ways I went with
Mama the time was well spent. His tapestry thread
of gold.
I've learned life's lessons when I've
grieved with lashes wet that God's plans
are right. Each life closes into
night and death has fused out temporal
light that this time is perfectly right.
The Weaver is interweaving the silver in the horizon of night.
The loom of which she's wove can never be diffused by
temporal light, for in thee does she repose. A crown of Glory she holds, she's the lily pure and white that He chose.

You Send Me Thoughts Of Love
You send me...
Hope.
You send me...
Thoughts of love.
You give me...
A feeling that will never leave.
And I'm,
Like a re-charged battery.
You send me...
Patience to cope.
You send me...
A focus I hold that bestows.
You give me...
Confidence that lifts self esteem.
And I am.
Happy to know you love me.
The moment I lost my breath,
When you touched me...
I knew there was no one else,
To affect me.
Those doors I had closed you opened instantly.
You send me...
Hope.
You send me...
Thoughts of love.
You give me...
A feeling that will never leave.
And I'm,
Like a re-charged battery.
You send me...
Patience to cope.
You send me...

You give me...
Confidence that lifts self esteem.
And I am.
Happy to know you love me.
You send me...
Hope.
You send me...
Thoughts of love.
And those doors I had closed you opened instantly...
Because no one but you,
Had the right key.

I Search the Light
I search the light
Please tell me someone
Where it can be found
The light that make me feel
In the heaven and can heel
My soul wounds that have pain
The light that enlighten me
With spiritual depth and peace
Of mind soul and inner feel
The light that reach the darken
World of ignorance and cruelties
To make the world a bunch of flowers
With untouched beauty and fragrance
I search the light
To enlighten the days of peace
I search the light the true light
Please tell me someone who can see

Immortal love, forever full
Immortal love, forever full,
Forever flowing free,
Forever shared, forever whole,
A never ebbing sea!
Our outward lips confess the name
All other names above;
Love only knoweth whence it came,
And comprehendeth love.
Blow, winds of God, awake and blow
The mists of earth away:
Shine out, O Light divine, and show
How wide and far we stray.
We may not climb the heavenly steeps
To bring the Lord Christ down;
In vain we search the lowest deeps,
For Him no depths can drown.
But warm, sweet, tender, even yet,
A present help is He;
And faith still has its Olivet,
And love its Galilee.
The healing of His seamless dress
Is by our beds of pain;
We touch Him in life’s throng and press,
And we are whole again.
Through Him the first fond prayers are said
Our lips of childhood frame,
The last low whispers of our dead
Are burdened with His Name.
O Lord and Master of us all,
Whate’er our name or sign,
We own Thy sway, we hear Thy call,
We test our lives by Thine.
The letter fails, the systems fall,
And every symbol wanes;
The Spirit over brooding all,
Eternal Love remains.

God does not give heed to the ambitiousness of our prayers, because he is always ready to give to us his light, not a visible light but an intellectual and spiritual one but we are not always ready to receive it when we turn aside and down to other things out of a desire for temporal things.

And because Love battles
And because love battles
not only in its burning agricultures
but also in the mouth of men and women,
I will finish off by taking the path away
to those who between my chest and your fragrance
want to interpose their obscure plant.
About me, nothing worse
they will tell you, my love,
than what I told you.
I lived in the prairies
before I got to know you
and I did not wait love but I was
laying in wait for and I jumped on the rose.
What more can they tell you?
I am neither good nor bad but a man,
and they will then associate the danger
of my life, which you know
and which with your passion you shared.
And good, this danger
is danger of love, of complete love
for all life,
for all lives,
and if this love brings us
the death and the prisons,
I am sure that your big eyes,
as when I kiss them,
will then close with pride,
into double pride, love,
with your pride and my pride.
But to my ears they will come before
to wear down the tour
of the sweet and hard love which binds us,
and they will say: “The one
you love,
is not a woman for you,
Why do you love her? I think
you could find one more beautiful,
more serious, more deep,
more other, you understand me, look how she’s light,
and what a head she has,
and look at how she dresses,
and etcetera and etcetera”.
And I in these lines say:
Like this I want you, love,
love, Like this I love you,
as you dress
and how your hair lifts up
and how your mouth smiles,
light as the water
of the spring upon the pure stones,
Like this I love you, beloved.
To bread I do not ask to teach me
but only not to lack during every day of life.
I don’t know anything about light, from where
it comes nor where it goes,
I only want the light to light up,
I do not ask to the night
explanations,
I wait for it and it envelops me,
And so you, bread and light
And shadow are.
You came to my life
with what you were bringing,
made
of light and bread and shadow I expected you,
and Like this I need you,
Like this I love you,
and to those who want to hear tomorrow
that which I will not tell them, let them read it here,
and let them back off today because it is early
for these arguments.
Tomorrow we will only give them
a leaf of the tree of our love, a leaf
which will fall on the earth
like if it had been made by our lips
like a kiss which falls
from our invincible heights
to show the fire and the tenderness
of a true love.

Wasting My Time
You think you got it all figured out and wrapped up
Driving in your little red car
You could drive all night around the city
But you won't get far
There's something there on the edge of your mirror
Something you've been hiding for years
If you take a chance if you just take a look
Maybe I can handle your fears
I'm tired of waking up shaking in the dark
Making up what you're gonna do
You can keep your pride you can keep your distance
I never wanted to get that from you
I've had enough of a tough situation
Driving me out of my mind
You can keep your pride and you can keep your distance
I'm only wasting my time
Give me one good reason I should keep it up
You've got so many to spare
You keep it hot but you keep it so we're driving
It just ain't fair
You've got the jam down fired up emotions
I've got the three alarm blues
I can't get to you and you won't come to me
What would you suggest that I do
I'm tired of waking up shaking in the dark
Making up what you're gonna do
You can keep your pride you can keep your distance
I never wanted to get that from you
I've had enough of a tough situation
Driving me out of my mind
You can keep your pride and you can keep your distance
I'm only wasting my time
Half passed three I haven't got a clue
I spent the whole night just burning for you
I'm tired of waking up shaking in the dark
Making up what you're gonna do
You can keep your pride you can keep your distance
I never wanted toget that from you
I've had enough of a tough situation
Driving me out of my mind
Oh you can keep your pride you can keep your distance
I'm only wasting my time
Oh baby
You can keep your pride you can keep your distance
I'm only wasting my time
