Rushing to Hug a Tree

I could If I wanted,
To be stuck in deep stuff.
With an analyzing done,
As if I was there to fix and correct...
What suited my comprehension,
And my intellect.

But as I grow older,
I've selected a more basicness in life.
Like taking a walk around the neighborhood.
And saying hello to folks I had once disliked.
I don't know why.
I try hard to earn a smile from others,
These days.
Of course they hesitate.
I would too.

There is nothing like being cautious.

I could If I wanted,
To be stuck in deep stuff.
Dressing the part of an aristocrat...
With my nose lifted high.
And my butt corked up!

But today I find myself,
Rushing to hug a tree.
Listening to the birds sing.
And seeking harmony.

Perhaps I have arrived to enjoy,
A certain 'maturity'.
That combines an appreciation,
I've discovered that heightens...
The level of my tolerance.
With a wish of it to be judgement free.
Or...
An acknowledgement my aches and pains,
Have become overnight...
A useless fight against priorities.
My feet and knees keep reminding me of this.

I've grown to value the ease of simple movement.
Oooo,
Geeesshh...
Who knew,
I would come to find this pleasurable.

'And yes,
I did go to high school with your grandparents!
Sooo...
What's the point you're making?
I carry this twig to show my appreciation for nature.
You do not see me attempting to use it as a cane!
You kids are so disrespectful.'

Something That Stays

I knew you would find something here for you.
I knew you enjoyed comfort.
And I like that too.
I knew you would enjoy
An atmosphere of peace.
I knew you would feel
Relaxed and at ease.
I knew you would find something here for you.
What we have discovered,
Only me and you knew...
The something that you wanted is me!
And all that you are
Is the something I've always wanted.
I knew you would find something here for you.
And I am hoping for us,
This is the something that stays!

Between High School & Old School

Hey hey
Hey hey
I guess I'm a loner and I don't fit in (No...)
I ain't too comfortable in my skin (Oh...)
An' I don't play well with the others
I'm stuck somewhere between high school and old school
I can't decide between my rules and your rules
Hey hey
Hey hey
Nobody wants me hanging round
Unless it's from a tree in the middle of town
And I'm out of step with the others
I'm stuck somewhere between high school and old school
I can't decide between my rules and your rules
I'm stuck somewhere between high school and old school
So I defy maybe all rules maybe no rules
My clothes don't make me
My hair ain't cut right
And I don't care much
No I don't care at all
I guess my brain is out of sync, I think
I'm stuck somewhere between high school and old school
I can't decide between my rules and your rules
I'm stuck somewhere between high school and old school
I can't decide, I just can't decide
Hey hey hey
Hey hey hey
Hey hey hey
Aw...

Put a Sock In It

Put a sock in it,
Maybe this will rush a hush.
Put a sock in it,
Maybe this will rush a hush.
Put a sock in it,
Maybe this will rush a hush.
Today there is just too much stuff.
And people are getting fed up!

Put a sock in it,
Maybe this will rush a hush.
Put a sock in it,
Maybe this will rush a hush.
Put a sock in it,
Maybe this will rush a hush.
Today there is just too much stuff.
And people are getting fed up!

Many getting sick of the pickiness started.
And when it gets sticky they can not stop.
Instigating agitation with annoyance.
Dropping all they've got to tie a mind in knots.

Put a sock in it,
Maybe this will rush a hush.
Put a sock in it,
Maybe this will rush a hush.
Put a sock in it,
Maybe this will rush a hush.
Today there is just too much stuff.
And people are getting fed up!

Can't you see them strike poses and begin to 'cheese'.
Then plop on their knees,
To make their pleas.
These same folks cry about bad luck.
With claims their butts are stuck in ruts.

Put a sock in it,
Maybe this will rush a hush.
Put a sock in it,
Maybe this will rush a hush.
Put a sock in it,
Maybe this will rush a hush.
Today there is just too much stuff.
And people are getting fed up!

Put a sock in it,
Maybe this will rush a hush.
Folks have had enough,
And fed up!

Put a sock in it,
Maybe this will rush a hush.
Folks have had enough,
And fed up!

Folks have had enough.
Folks have had enough.
Folks have had enough.
And fed up!

Soulfire

Every morning as I wake to another day
I bow my head hit my knees and I begin to pray
I search for answers that I wonder if I'll ever find
Running circles in the mazes deep inside my mind
You always take me to a higher level
Show something that's deep inside
You show me things I never knew

You push me you pull me

You set my soul on fire
You take me so much higher
Higher again
Thank you for it all

Everyday living this life not knowing what it means
Consolation from above fulfilling all my dreams
And as I look across the crowd in their eyes I see
All their troubles and their pain staring back at me
You always take me to a higher level
You show me something that's deep inside
You show me things I never knew
You push me you pull me

You always give the best for me
Lift your hands high right where I can see
You always give the best for me
Lift your hands high right where I can see

You Will Have to Manifest More Than a Passing Interest

It's been quite sometime since I've breast fed.
Or had my running mucoused nose wiped.
Or had my tears dried because of a neighborhood fight,
With a bully that had one time frightened me!

Soon after my eighteenth birthday,
I voluntered and 'joined' the military.
Feeling patriotic and hypnotized by war,
And doing my part to defend a country we all live in!
While others I knew...
Went on to colleges to pursue a certain greed.
That ego wasn't there for me to feed.
And two weeks after my high school graduation...
I was stripped from my childhood,
Dramatically.

Homesickness?
I've seen some guys try to walk home from bootcamp!
And I did stupid stuff...
Wanting my training instructor to find ways to punish me!
Walking to Connecticut from Texas,
Somehow was not a priority or an appetizer.

Today...
After broken marriages and mucho heartbreak.
Death of loved ones I 'knew' I could not endure.
And having ignorance thrown in my face...
By those who 'still' had no idea of the emotions felt,
I alone had to replace by a craze I successfully kept hidden.
And doing that with the grace from God?
Just to have judgements passed upon me...
Like someone was assigned to do that as if it was their job?
I forgave,
Before I even ate in those days!

I know I have been blessed to have survived much 'mess'.

I'll confess this to anyone who wishes to listen...
You have no idea of those things I've could have said,
But kept them to myself.
And have only 'selected' a few of those experiences,
To share to keep an interest flowing.
Isn't that what writers should do?
To give readers like you an insight?
Something to 'touch' the inside of a mind like mine?

And I will not totally embrace anyone 'inside'.
Not for a tour.
To rate the degree of my sufferings.
I don't keep that on exhibit anyway!
What would be the point?

My writings will hint with vivid 'suggestions'.
That's it!
Anything more than that?
You will have to manifest more than a passing interest.
But don't worry.
There is enough here to keep it coming to you,
For as long as you live!
Because in just this one life I've been given...
I feel I have lived many lifetimes.
None of which I wish to forget!
Making my happiness much more appreciated.

Part Of My Life

Can you be a part of my life?
Can you be a part of my life?
Oh its easy to find some one to play with
And almost anyone will do to fill your idle time
But that very special someone,
You can share all your dreams with is so hard to find
And it use to be like me to settle for the physical
But these days it aint too easy to make up my mind
Cause apparently you body just to temporally to take up my precious time
See Ive got to know that
That I can be free with you and
Youve got to show that
That youre worthy of my time
Can you stimulate my mind?
And I know that it looks good,
But can you be a part of my life
And Im sure that it feels good
But can you be a part of my life
And it probably even taste good
But can you be a part of my life
Ive got to know
I still appreciate the beauty of a man
But theres more to what I need now than what meets the eye
And if beautys only skin deep,
Then your pretty skin wont send me to my highest high
Oh its been along time come for maturity
And I believe that its truly what it has to be
Cause as much as I admire you
My sexual desire, aint controlling me
See Ive got to know that
That I can be free with you and
Youve got to show that
That youre worthy of my time
Can you stimulate my mind?
And I know that it looks good,
But can you be a part of my life
And Im sure that it feels good
But can you be a part of my life
And it probably even taste good
But can you be a part of my life
Ive got to know
And I know that it looks good,
But can you be a part of my life
And Im sure that it feels good
But can you be a part of my life
And it probably even taste good
But can you be a part of my life
Ive got to know
Can you be a part of my life?
I got to know that
Can you be a part of my life?
I got to know that
Can you be a part of my life?
I got to know that
Can you be a part of my life?
I got to know that
Can you be a part of my life?
I got to know that
Can you be a part of my life?
I got to know that

Sup?

'The usual stuff.
I see the same folks stuck.
Draggin' their butts from rut to rut.
Complaining about their bad luck...
While others do their best,
To pull themselves up.'

I see you struttin'.
Doesn't seem like you much troubled,
'Bout too much or nuthin'!

'I see it and I don't.
Aint got time for misery.
And I'm not 'bout to get on my knees...
Just to see somebody pleased,
I can do it.
I don' been through that mess.
You 'member I was distressed,
And express that to you.
As you pretended to listen to me confess,
From my point of view.
'Sup with you? '

The usual stuff.
I see the same folks stuck.
Draggin' their butts from rut to rut.
Complaining about their bad luck...
While others do their best,
To pull themselves up.

'I see.
Looks like you and me,
Got lots in common? '

Yep!
Which goes to show...
Even though we think 'we' different from the others,
We haven't moved too far...
From where they are.

'Yeah!
But don't it feel good to know sumthin'
'Bout movin' on?
Even if it is going 'round in circles? '

I guess!
They are there and we are here.
But it looks like they've got a better way,
Of avoiding paying more taxes.
And I 'use' to think the gov'ment was helping them out?

'Naw man,
That's how them folks got there in the first place!
How many liars and thieves you know,
Live like this? '

Well...

'None!
Where you goin'?
To that job fair? '

Might as well.
Seems to be the routine.
Either I'm over qualified...
Or I've got bad credit!
And when I 'was' qualified...
I stayed in a rut!
That's wassup!

'Stayin' in that rut, huh? '

Deep Freeze

As the snow was going nowhere,
The tiger settled still...
Content that he saw nothing there,
He rested on the hill.
He looked to both the left and right,
From his high point of view
And all he saw was white, white, white!
And so, what could he do?

He yawned at so much tedium...
With nothing there to eat...
And coldness filled him to the brim
And gone all trace of heat!
Somehow, he felt he couldn't win!
'Why can't I fly like birds? '
'Why me? ' he asked, with such chagrin!
In short-clipped angry words...

Of course, we know, life isn't fair!
For some, it's way too cold.
Yet starving was so hard to bear...
And he was getting old!
He wasn't like he used to be,
So fast upon his feet.
'I'm getting on, that's plain to see...
Now things are not so sweet! '

And so he moaned, like old folks do,
About his aches and pains...
Stuck to that hill as if with glue...
Then suddenly, it rains...
'For pity sake! ' he groaned again...
'This really's not my day! '
And so he stood, right there and then...
And sighed... and walked away...

Today is my day,
and no one elses around.
Today is my day and celebrated all around.
Today my grandparents come and the birds cherp.

Today is my day.
Today is my day I get stuff I wanted.

Today is my day.
and after dinner I get a cake with candels.

Today is my day,
all the way until midight.

Today is my day,
but now it is someones some where else.

Cottage or Apartment

The roses' and the vines' fragrance,
Mingled with my cottage air.
Maine's preponderance of pines,
Surrounded my cottage fair.

The heavenly light ray,
Pierced through the fir tree.
It made my life there,
A nature fantasy.

That wooden kyake parked on the Sound,
Spoke to me of learning the sea.
Twittering birds and wild turkeys,
Spoke to me of how life should be.

But the human in me, never quite satisfied,
Yearned for alterations,
Of happiness that could have been,
A still happier life, that could have been.

But I started to focus on tiny details,
Of a flutter of a bird's wing.
Of the way these birds could sing.
Of the way these birds flew.

All these things my heart could not do.
It just could not do.

I now wanted to live in an apartment,
Dissatisfied with my cottage,
Dissatisfied with nature and God's forest,
And trees, and what could be.

Then I realized, how far I had strayed,
From my own childhood happiness,
That spontaneous happy ignition,

Where happiness resided.

But I never opened that shiny door,
Where this happiness was stored.

Well, I now smelled the pine tree needles,
The freshness of that inviting river,
That babbling brook of my Maine,
Where my cottage stood,
Way in the undergrowth,
Where my feet wanted to trod.

Down that way to that awaiting happiness,
Given to each of us, free by God,
That lay deep, so deep in our heart.
That I would never from this cottage part.

To any move to any apartment, anywhere,
To seek some fantasy happiness,
But uncapturable again,
Since once again, depending on outside appearances.

Godly happiness, once more ignored.

So both the cottage and the apartment failed you.
Childhood happiness, once more ignored.
No cottage nor apartment living, could your happiness find.

See you smile
Angel child,
Thats all I ever wanted to do.
See your laugh
In a photograph,
Thats all I ever wanted to do.
See your swishin walk,
And talk your baby talk,
Thats all I ever wanted to do.
Lorna,
Lorna,
Thats all I ever wanted to do.
Carry you,
Carry you down by the banks of the river,
All along down,
All along down the grasses [throne ? ].
Carry you, carry you,
By the banks of the river,
Thats all,
Thats all I wanted to do.
Ill carry all your books to school,
And maybe be your fool,
Thats all I wanted to do.
Ah, just to hold your hand
All along the golden sand,
Thats all I wanted to do.

Lorna,
Thats all I ever wanted to do.

Born To Die

Life is too short now, to live it half way.
Im cryin for my cousin, who died yesterday.
He never had a chance, no, not to express his views.
I swear that hes leaving it, to the rest of you.
Oh he ...
Chorus
Lived his life of freedom, exactly the way that he wanted to.
But theres always that one thing, we never do count on.
You was born for it to happen to you ...
... oooo-oooo, oooo-oooo
Oooo-oooo
He was on a motorcycle, in a side car.
They was just outside of town, they hadnt ridden far.
Out to have a good time, on a bike they built.
How was they to know it, that night that hed be killed.
Oh he ...
Chorus
... oooo-oooo, oooo-oooo
Oooo-oooo
Oooo-oooo
Oooo-oooo
Oh he ...
Chorus
Yes he ...

Opening Joke

If I wanted to please everyone...
I'd tell them how fantastic and beautiful they are.
You know...
That stuff folks expect to hear.
Especially out in public.

But geeeesssshhh...
Glancing at this crowd...
I know I have to be honest.
Since I expect most of them,
Would be hearing it for the first time.
And I can see there are lots of folks been lied to...
Sittin' up in here!
You got another pair of sunshades?

And even more would think my honesty,
To be controversial, direct and humorless.
Delivered from the embittered lips,
Of a black man fighting back his anger.

How did truth and honesty,
Become associated with bitterness in the first place?

They get enough amusement anyway.
Some of that stuff that goes on today is so hysterical...
It goes on unacknowledged.
Don't worry!
I've come prepared with an opening joke about economics.
That should rivet them to their seats!
Especially the ones sitting in the front taking notes...
Accustomed to being in seminars.

'Folks...
The topic this evening will be,
'How to Barter and Ghettomize My Pretensions'
Some of you taking notes,
Will find the subject matter rewarding.
IF you already know how to boogey and 'git' down! '

Not Afrocentric Enough

Years ago...
They acted as if,
I was an embarrassment to them.
Not Afrocentric enough.
Even though I had identity,
Branded on my 'strut-and-stuff'!

My name, Lawrence Suhuba
Yuroban selected.
Doubling the meaning of my given name.
Suhuba (Lawrence) now Lawrence S.
Proud of my heritage and having no shame!
None to confess.

Today I 'strut' with my stuff all over the internet.
Doing what I've done most of my life.
And that's write.

And I might have been an embarrassment to them then...
But 'them' not feeling comfortable to be who they are now,
Should embarrass them more!

Since having no identity today,
Makes little sense since everything folks have lived for...
To impress with materialism has diminished in value.
And everything they are has been invested in it!

My head is held high...
Most times.
If I am not in deep thought!
And...
I might not have a dime in my pocket.
Most times,
My mind tells me I'm worth millions!
And I look to the ground,
Just to make sure I'm not dropping any of it!

I Wanted To Tell Her

I wanted to tell her but I stuck to my lies
I wanted to tell her till I looked in her eyes
I wanted to tell her but I stuck to my lies
I wanted to tell her till I looked in her eyes
I wanted to tell her
I needed to tell her
Just like the wind you blew away your happy lovers touch
You bring the blues into my heart just like a rush
I cannot bear the way my heart has helped to keep you close
Of you my babe I cannot get enough
You touch me baby
I loved you to the lines of lies you told when I asked her name
I knew the perfume in your hair just wasnt mine
Did you ever think to notice me when you wasnt home?
I noticed every time
I wanted to tell her but I stuck to my lies
I wanted to tell her till I looked in her eyes
I wanted to tell her but I stuck to my lies
I wanted to tell her till I looked in her eyes
Thought you noticed every time but you didnt notice a thing
Id have to cover up my calls when the telephone would ring
Im tired of you and the things you do and all the things you say
No more babysitting for neurotic girls today
Im thinking that the pain Im going through just to keep you babe
Is something that I should bear
Did you ever stop to notice me when you had nothing?
And I never cared?
Just like the wind you blew away your happy lovers touch
You bring the blues into my life just like a rush
I cannot bear the way my heart has helped to keep you close
Of you my babe I cannot get enough
You touch me baby, dont be mean to me!
I wanted to tell her but I stuck to my lies
I wanted to tell her till I looked in her eyes
I wanted to tell her but I stuck to my lies
I wanted to tell her till I looked in her eyes

With a Choice to Keep the Value

Why is it important to you now,
To hear my voice?
When it was you,
Who made not listening to me...
Your choice.

Why is my comprehension mentioned,
To be a priority of your concern?
I'm well aware of those lessons I've learned.
And few of them taught I seek to be repeated.
You brought to me then an acknowledgement.
And I did not hesitate,
To connect that to my common sense.

I received it and I heeded.

Why is it important to you now,
To hear my voice.
To review conversations,
I attempted to make...
That came to rest on deaf ears?

Perhaps there is a clarity,
Not understood before...
But overnight your eyes opened.
And a clarity that could have been yours...
Has now between your ears appeared?

Go ahead and say,
What you believe today is okay.
However,
If I should abruptly walk away...
Think of it as not being disrespectful.
But a sign of the times,
When one finds peace of mind.
With a choice to keep the value of it protected.

Think of my getting away from you,
In that perspective!
A treasured gift one gets...
To never be neglected.

Grim and Stuck On Their Knees

Grim and stuck on their knees.
Too many people with weak souls.
They are the ones claiming to know...
How others should go about their days,
And pray.

Grim...
And stuck on their knees.
Seekers wishing to be equal.
But complain about their troubles,
And evils they face all day.

Seen running to be hidden in shadows.
Running from realities they choose not to believe.
Desperate are the lives of these people.
Sharing as seen their half filled cups...
With others they seek,
Like them who have given up!

Grim...
And stuck on their knees.
They see themselves with bad luck.
Grim and stuck on their knees.
Afraid to get out of ruts.
They want their boats re-ruddered.

Grim and stuck on their knees.
They want them sugar buttered.
Grim and stuck on their knees...
They seek a life that's other than the one 'not' cookie cutter.

Grim...
And stuck on their knees.
They see themselves with bad luck.
Grim and stuck on their knees.
Afraid to get out of ruts.
They want their boats re-ruddered.

Grim and stuck on their knees.

Natural Phenomena

The sea waves rises so high
With only aim to give high hope to fly
Even with so much helplessness and clipped wings
When birds watch intensely and sing

It is natural phenomena
Otherwise there won't have been fountain and flora
It is natural gift and no conspiracy
Nature has allowed you to enjoy with privacy

Why do rain come in time and dropp the shower?
Why earth is so eager to find an answer?
Why does she wait for it to fall gently?
So she can enjoy it with joy and silently

What does she conceive in gentle knock?
Complete attack is contained without any shock
Fertile seeds are given new lease of life to emerge
Come out in open with green color and surge

Nature allows you to mix and avail
Don’t curb your wish or curtail
It is natural to feel somebody’s company
This might have been felt by so many

Let us raise no doubt about nature’s ability
Let us find out the object with beauty
It will never disappoint us and show the way
Nature may pull you towards and not throw you away

It is like gravitational pull
It may attract you completely and full
It has its own rules to attract
This itself is real beauty in fact

Some of he changes we may not like
Its simple features may not strike
Yet it has all round show to prove
You may find its presence when move

He Gave Them What They Wanted

People came and waited for him,
To validate his success.
But his success had already been validated,
Before the people arrived...
With premeditated thoughts of him,
As not living up to their high expectations.

And he gave them what they wanted.

Time to waste.
Waiting for him to show them appreciation.
And he continued to ignore them,
By going about his business as usual.
Not seeking or requesting their approval.
To leave them miffed and confused.
And not one bit amused.

'You folks can save a lot of time, ' He said.
'By doing yourself a favor and some research.
The only thing sought here,
Is what I've had for years! '

And with a snapping of his fingers,
In a rhythmic beat...
He began to rap and move his feet!

'I've got...
P with an 'e'
A with a 'c'
E-O-F
M-I-N-D!

And that is...
P with an 'e'
Can you feel me?
A with a 'c'
Okay?
E-O-F
M-I-N-D!

And it's right here with me all the time!

Say 'P' with an 'e'
Can you feel me?
A with a 'c'
Okay?
E-O-F
M-I-N-D! '

Reluctantly,
They all began this infectious chant:

'P' with an 'e'
Can you feel me?
A with a 'c'
Okay?
E-O-F
M-I-N-D!
'P' with an 'e'
Can you feel me?
A with a 'c'
Okay?
E-O-F
M-I-N-D!
'P' with an 'e'
Can you feel me?
A with a 'c'
Okay?
E-O-F
M-I-N-D! '

And as he quietly left them in a trance inducing boogey,
The people 'got-down-and-funky'

'P' with an 'e'
Can you feel me?
A with a 'c'
Okay?
E-O-F
M-I-N-D!
'P' with an 'e'
Can you feel me?
A with a 'c'
Okay?
E-O-F
M-I-N-D!
'P' with an 'e'
Can you feel me?
A with a 'c'
Okay?
E-O-F
M-I-N-D! '

Some even improvised their 'jive',
In this eclectic electric 'slide'.

These Are The Daze

Heh, y'all remember back in the days
When niggaz used to get they ass whooped for snakin cars
And had to go strip your own switch off the tree
These are the days
[Chorus: Trick Daddy + (singer)]
(These are the days)
These are the days (when we parlay)
When we parlayed (just me and my team)
Me and my team (out there livin our dream)
Ha, ha ha, Lord (look how far we've come)
Look how far we come (doin what we love)
Doin what we love (cause these are the days)
(ballin, we gon' hold on)
[Trick Daddy]
And I remember back in the days, if you ain't like a nigga
You let him know, then you asked for a fave
And then he coulda got a head up
Me and you after school in the front and we can tear it up
And everybody gon' know about it
Yep, so put down your set, and shut up, and be sho' about it
Cause everybody done lost one
But don't come home cryin unless your ass mind another one
And your ass better fight back
And you bet' not run and let it get back to mom
Cause, daddy ain't made no punks (uh-uh)
And, momma ain't raised no chumps (no way)
So, go 'head for what you know
Cause a lil' childhood fight's alright, but that's as far as it goes
Cause tomorrow we'll be best of friends
Never ever disagreein, now that's a friend, c'mon
[Chorus w/ minor variations]
[Trick Daddy]
Now leave the guns and the crack and the knives alone
It's, T-Double on the microphone, and I can
see trouble right in front your home
Far as the kid's concerned, let him live and learn
And let him grow to be older than us
Teach him more than gangbangin, drug deals and hold-ups
And slow up, hold that drinkin just a little bit
And when they wanna get high, just let 'em hear this
And let 'em hit it 'til they OD
Cause when they sober up, they gon' love and respect us
Now we havin mo' doctors, lawyers
Teachers, preachers, and deep-sea explorers
C'mon
[singer]
These are the days, Lord these are the days
These are the days (these are the days) Lord these are the days
(for the thugs)
[Trick Daddy]
Whatever happened to the momma and daddy jokes
And why you cuss so much, right in front of these old folks
That lady about seventy-five years old
That's twice my age, and fo' times yours
I know momma taught you better than that
Believe stuff like this'll give the ol' girl a heart attack
Always hollerin about child abuse and child neglect
Where the hell did you get that?
Shit the last time I checked
You ever lost self-respect, you got it put on your ass for that
And it happened right there where it went wrong
Part one's now, part two's at home
So from now on, it's yes ma'am or no sir
Put that behind you, questions and answers
Followed by thank you or no thanks
Or father may I be excused without bein rude
[Chorus w/ minor variations]
[ad libs]
[Trick Daddy]
Hold on, so this here should teach you a lesson y'know
Kids, y'know listen to your teachers at school and
Parents, need to pay attention to your kids at home
Therefore uh, know how to be hard on a child abuser
Child neglecter, where e'rybody nobody call HRS on us
Beat they lil' bad ass when they get out of line
That's what my momma did - fo' sho'
Ain't nuttin wrong with a lil' ass whuppin
The swellin gon' go down and the bleedin gon' stop
But your ass'll be alive, I'll bet you that
And umm, I put that on Pearl
