Public Announcements
Some things needn't be made,
Public announcements.
Like a miserable childhood...
Lived being taunted and misunderstood.
Or feeling as if,
The only one to have endured...
Loneliness and heartache.
Or had emotions that sat,
On the edge of quitting life.
Because another child said...
They heard you peed in bed!
Or pimples on your face,
Reminded them of parasites.
Comeon!
This is no reason to take one's life.
Some things needn't be made,
Public announcements.
Like feeling betrayed,
By those believed has your strictest confidence.
Only to discover sooner or later,
Secrets you had expressed...
Are on all of your neighbors' lips.
There is no need at all,
To have everything confessed.
Especially if you are the type...
To not want all of your business to be addressed.

Face Down
You push me around,
You call me names,
You made me cry,
You made me feel worthless,
I have my face down in the dirt,
You are the blame,
I felt that shame,
You know how lame you can be yet you choose to make fun of me and others that you have hurt,
You made my life hopeless,
You made me the person I am today,
Feeling doubtful,
Feeling the rage you had given me,
You are the cause of the pain,
You are the reason I hate,
Don’t tell me who I should be,
Don’t tell me those lies I already heard,
I don’t want to believe you,
I hate you,
I want you to leave,
Be gone.

She needn’t be afraid
She needn’t be afraid to be herself with me
I love the way she is, I hope she does agree
To be herself with me, is all I ask of her
No matter how she feels, I still think she’s so dear
Will all do crazy things, somewhere along the line
But crazy things are good, we’re human after all
She needn’t be afraid, to be herself with me
I’ll stand beside her always to catch her should she fall

Politicians Are Famous For?
politicians are really famous
for three things
lapping up all good comments
media make about their characters
making public announcements
basking in flash poses
masked a constant stream of lies
about UFOs and D.U.M.Bs
D.U.M.B are deep underground military bunkers.

Jump Up With It
It is time you recognize,
And maximize the living your life.
If you jump up with it.
And do not sit.
To feel the best you can.
And open up your eyes,
Like you should.
And get that taste.
Don't hesitate.
If you just comeon...
Jump up with it.
Jump up with it.
Don't sit,
Just comeon...
Jump up with it.
Jump up with it.
No need to compromise.
Or apologize for the living your life.
Get rid of that feeling and do it quick.
Stick it to 'em,
And comeon...
Jump up with it.
Jump up with it.
Live your life and comeon,
Jump up with it.
Don't give in and quit.
Don't sit,
Just comeon...
Jump up with it.
Jump up with it.
Let it go and comeon,
Jump up with it.
Jump up with it.
It's time you recognize,
And maximize the living your life.
If you jump up with it.
And do not sit.
Don't quit!
Just comeon...
Jump up with it.
Jump up with it.
Don't sit,
Just comeon...
Jump up with it.
Jump up with it.
Don't quit!
Just comeon...
Jump up with it.
Jump up with it.
Don't sit,
Just comeon...
Jump up with it.
Jump up with it.
Rejoice and comeon,
Jump up with it.
Jump up with it.
This is your life.
Jump up with it.
Jump up with it.
This is your life.
Rejoice and comeon.

There Is a Felt Loneliness Connected
Too weak to weep again.
Or brave new insults made...
Heard before but nonetheless,
Can never replace a life lived dealt...
From a deck selected,
To represent the life I've been given.
There is a felt loneliness connected,
When it is expected one should accept...
Being in a public arena and getting little respect.
There is a felt neglect when one becomes an object.
And becomes subjected to negativity mentioned,
By those claiming to be close...
And those unsuspecting,
Very few come supportive with an emotional boost.
Too weak to weep again.
Or brave new insults made...
Heard before but nonetheless,
Can never replace a life lived dealt...
From a deck selected,
To represent the life I've been given.
But live I do and done at my best.

I feel like I've been robbed!
We've both made choices.
Not once did I question
Those you made.
I never compared your way of life...
Or whether you lived it right or wrong.
Or to how many charities you gave,
If any.
I did,
However...
Discovered you felt uncomfortable,
That I had felt at ease.
Knowing I had no exorbitant mortgage.
Or neighbors to keep up with to please.
Or that my basic life involved having no car to drive.
I enjoy all types of people.
But I am not one to wine and dine,
Or constantly socialize.
I had admired that about you.
You loved what you did and I did too!
But today,
You seem critical of the life I've made.
The only thing that has changed...
Is my age.
I've never been into 'things'
That could come and go away.
Or try to hold onto pretensions...
To show even though they fade.
What you valued is gone and did not stay.
And why that angers you...
Is between you and your 'beliefs'.
Don't try to hold that against me.
Wasn't it you who once said...
I was delusional and feared reality instead?
Well...
I am living in my 'reality'!
What have you found so upsetting about yours?
Oh...
Was it those things that made it more realistic?
Giving you more of a sense of self worth?
But why is it you feel that way now?
When I still have less 'things' than you!
'I don't have a car or a home anymore.
And last week I was laid off my job!
My 401k is worthless.
And I feel like I've been robbed! '
Gee.
That's too bad.
And all this time,
I've been feeling blessed.
And that's real odd!
Because I don't,
Right now...
Have a penny in my pocket!
And there you are...
Faithless!

In my other life ~ ~ ~ Song Lyric's
In my other life, I marched troops in formations
I manned the gun and turned them into men
In my other life, I had so many wayward women
They broke me down and made me, what I am
They showed me roads that men seldom travel
They taught me things can work only if, you try
That losing could mean your really winning
They showed me sorrow, and taught me, how to cry
In my other life, I consumed minds recreations
I made peace with myself, these insecurities, could not stand
In my other life, I lived with incarcerations
They broke me down and made me, what I am
They showed me roads that men seldom travel
They taught me things can work only if, you try
That losing could mean your really winning
They showed me sorrow, and taught me, how to cry
In my other life, I worked hard to make a living
I gave up my recklessness, and vowed never, to give in
In my other life, I was married and had children
There broke me down and made me, what I am
They showed me roads that men seldom travel
They taught me things can work only if, you try
That losing could mean your really winning
They showed me sorrow, and taught me, how to cry
In my other life, I was drawn to the Truth and His resurrection
I confessed my sins, by faith believed and made Him, my Lord
In my other life, I learned to die to self and surrender
Conviction broke me down; the Blood made me, what I am
He showed me a narrow road men seldom travel
He gave me grace to change, in the Sweet, by and by
That losing could mean your really winning
He showed me His love, the price He paid, the reason why
He showed me His love, the price He paid, the reason why

Expecting the Best
Once it has been decided,
My comments written are ready...
For public scrutiny.
I've already committed myself to content.
But excited?
Not as much as one might perceive.
I am as protective as a parent.
Wanting to shield what my child hears.
Knowing there will be criticsms freely given.
But feelings critiqued.
Never leave to disappear.
And difficult it is to correct,
What has been addressed and expressed.
Once it has been decided,
Comments written are made ready...
For public scrutiny?
I hold my breath.
Expecting the best.
Hoping my 'child' will not become offended.
But listen!
And become challenged to digest,
First.
With comprehension.
And not reflect...
What has been spoken.
And not to get upset or heartbroken.
It isn't easy,
Being devoted to missions.

The Toy-Maker
I AM the Toy-maker; I have brought from the town
As much in my plack as should fetch a whole crown,
I'll array for you now my stock of renown
And man's the raree will show you.
Here's a horse that is rearing to bound through the smoke
Of cannon and musket, and, face to that ruck,
The horseman with sword ready-held for the stroke,
Lord Lucan, maybe, or Prince Charlie.
An old woman sitting and waiting for call,
With her baskets of cockles and apples and all;
A one-legged sailor attending a ball,
And a tailor and nailer busy.
Or would you have these? A goose ganging by,
With head up in challenge to all who come nigh;
A cock with a comb dangling over his eye,
And a hen on a clutch nicely sitting;
Or a duck that is chasing a quick thing around,
Or a crow that is taking three hops on the ground,
Or an ass with head down (he is held in a pound);
Or a fox with his tail curled around him?
A ship made of shells that have sheen of the sea,
All ready to sail for black Barbarie,
The Lowlands of Holland, or High Germanic
And who'll be the one that will steer her?
I'll speak of my trade: there's a day beyond day
When the hound needn't hunt and the priest needn't pray,
And the clerk needn't write, and the hen needn't lay,
Whence come all the things that I show you.
I am the Toy-maker; upon the town wall
My crib is high up; I have down-look on all,
And coach and wheelbarrow I carve in my stall,
Making things with no troubles in them.

This Being Human Business
From squalor and trash,
A rising is witnessed.
Forgiveness is wished,
But a pain condoned...
Has been felt alone although unshown.
A mind conflicted frees from its limits.
Breaks to escape to initiate a taste of heartache.
And a choice is made to unleash and invade...
With a loosening of a harnessed and harbored feeling.
Sitting with an itch that can not be dismissed.
Sitting between a forgetting with forgiveness.
And a demeaning remembered intentionally inflicted.
What should one do...
When a gratefulness of blessings expressed,
Has also spoiled too?
Hmmm...
This being human business isn't easy.
Especially when an unwanted suffering has been endured.
'Shouldn't that be...
This 'human being' business? '
I got up early this morning,
So I would not have to listen to you.
Now go back to sleep.
These thoughts I'm having,
Are not subconscious, thank you.
'You are right!
This being 'human' business isn't easy!
At all.'
Whatever.

Mr. Dynamite
Pop/matlock
They call me mr. dynamite
I blow things up in black and white
An end to your charade
A button i have made must be pushed
There is no reason for the sky
When i'm on fire with your lies
So if i can win this fight
Then call me mr. dynamite
So here we stand
Both you and i
We're face to face
But eye to eye?
Tomorrow you may change
And i would be betrayed, my friend...
Oh mommy mommy mommy
Do you remember mr. dynamite?
You know that guy from down the block
He blew things up in black and white
Yesterday he changed
Today he is betrayed
In the street
On the ground
The neighbors gather 'round
Poor mr. dynamite

The Journey Home
I arrive back at Gare Du Nord
Only to discover that I'm already off to a bad start.
Due to the heavy snowfall in the UK,
It's hours till my train will finally depart.
I join the already snaking queue,
And I can feel the panic rise inside,
But there's nothing I can do about it,
So my time, I just have to bide.
I listen to the bi-lingual announcements
Telling us there's at least a four hour delay.
I stand there feeling tense and tearful,
And in my head, I'm worrying away.
During my stay in Paris,
I didn't come across many Brits,
But now, stood here in this queue,
I realise many people here are my fellow citz.
I get talking to two ladies,
Named Deborah and Sue,
Who take me under their wing,
And, the experience, they help me through.
Having finally made it to the departure lounge,
My anxiety has begun to melt away.
By this point, I'm feeling pretty sure
That I'll be on a train which leaves today.
In the lounge, there's a real sense of camaraderie,
With everyone chatting to people they've never met.
They discuss their present predicament -
Well aware that it's far from over yet.
The journey back to London,
Seems to take forever and a day.
I sit in my seat, concentrating on keeping calm,
But it's difficult to keep the worry at bay.
There's an audible sound of relief around me,
As we exit the tunnel back into the UK.
We're thrilled to have been repatriated,
But it's been just the most stressful day.
We arrive back at St Pancras.
I grab my case and dash to the Underground.
I rush across London as fast as I can
To Waterloo, which is where I am bound.
I've already heard that train services
Are finishing early due to the snow.
I arrive, out of breath, at Waterloo.
The last train has left, as far as I know.
But, due to a total stroke of luck,
I discover there's been a delay.
Onboard my train, I cry tears of relief,
Glad that things are finally going my way.
It's at half past ten at night,
That I finally reach home,
And tell the tale to my family
Of my experience I endured alone.

Only The Ones Who Continually Count Their Blessings
Why is it when one is young,
Aging is something believed...
No one wants to get done.
I've had my share of bouts with doubts.
Praying my advancing age...
Would not be so obvious.
Or in public be announced,
To be shouted out.
As I made attempts not to appear,
Like I was not experiencing a mid-life crisis.
But,
I've earned this.
I had to awaken to admit it!
I've EARN THIS!
Every bit of it and proud.
I have managed to do some things I dared.
With challenges and obstacles,
To prove a faith had pulled me through...
Mucho grief!
With just some of it shared.
Not all.
I don't want to scare the few people I know,
Away!
There's already been an acceptance,
Of my mentioned dysfunctions.
Why blow it on a 'show and tell' demonstration?
Some boundaries should be kept limited.
And imagined.
Why is it when one is young,
Aging is something believed...
No one wants to get done.
I've had my share of bouts with doubts.
Praying my advancing age...
Would not be so obvious.
Or in public be announced,
To be shouted out.
As I made attempts not to appear,
Like I was not experiencing a mid-life crisis.
I use to fear aging before I understood it.
Only the ones who continually count their blessings,
Can appreciate a few aches and pains...
And associate 'that' with being grateful to feel them.
Only the ones who continually count their blessings,
Can appreciate a few aches and pains...
And associate 'that' with being grateful to feel them.
And I'll keep that repeated to myself,
As a reminder.
Sometimes this self motivation business,
Does get old and tired.
But a blessing to live to get done.
You never know who's listening,
When confessions are being made.

The Jilted Lover To His Mother
You needn't pray for me, old lady, I don't want no one's prayer,
I'm fit and jolly as ever I was--you needn't think I care.
When I go whistling down the road, when the warm night is falling,
She needn't think I'm whistling her, it's another girl I'm calling.
If I pass her house a dozen times, or fifty times a day,
She needn't think I think of her, my work lies out that way.
If they should tell her I've grown thin (for that is what they've told me)
This cursed weather counts for that, and not the girl who sold me.
And if they say I'm off my feed I still can tip a can;
If I get drunk what's that to her? I am not her young man.
I know I've had a lucky let-off--she ain't no class, she ain't,
For all she looked like a bush o' roses and talked like a story book saint.
I never give a thought to her. Don't worry your old head,
I've quite forgot her pretty ways and the cruel things she said,
There's lots of other gals to be had as any chap can see,
So you cheer up, you've got no call to go and pray for me.
But all the same, if you want to pray, you'd best pray God take care of them,
For if I catch them two together, by hell! I'll swing for the pair of them.

I made my mistakes, but in all my years of public life, I have never profited from public service. I've earned every cent. And in all of my years in public life I have never obstructed justice. And I think, too, that I can say that in my years of public life that I welcome this kind of examination because people have got to know whether or not their President is a crook. Well, I'm not a crook. I've earned everything I've got.

Purest Feeling
Purest feeling
Purest feeling
Well I think Im gonna push it
As far as it will go
Give in to desire
Only you will know
So tell me all your secrets
Ill stick it in your head
I wish I could remember
Everything she said
Purest feeling
Purest feeling
Purest feeling
Purest feeling
Well she could be a saviour
With everything she does
Or some kind of punishment
For people just like us
I dont really believe she understands
Whats happening to me
The sooner that she gets it
The better it will be
Purest feeling
Purest feeling
Purest feeling
Purest feeling
I have got to figure it out
I just want to know
I cant live with it
Purest feeling

Oh The Warm Feeling
Oh the warm feeling
As we sat beside the sea
Oh the warm feeling as I sat by you
Like a child within the kingdom
As we sat beside the sea
Oh the warm feeling as I sat by you
And it filled with devotion
And it made me plainly see
And it healed all my emotions
As I sat by you
As we sat inside the sunshine
And we sat beside the sea
Oh the warm feeling, as I sat by you
And it filled me with religion
And it gave great comfort to me
Oh the warm feeling as I sat by you
Oh the warm feeling as we sat beside the sea
Oh the warm feeling as I sat by you.

Have To Live
I will try to live my life
Been so lost recently
I know the world will not make things any easier for me
Still, I have to live this life
Since, quitting is never the option.
Life goes on and it has to go on
That is life, beauty of life
Which is the way life goes.
Love, was never existent in my life
Got to live without love
That is the way life is for me now
Cannot change it, things have to go on
Emotions will be sometimes low
Other times emotions will be on a high
Life has to go on
With a flow, I have to try and live.
