Proof Of Their Evidence
Isn't it amazing,
What other people often admit...
They too can do?
After it has been noticed,
Someone who has for years struggled...
And criticized as being and a joke and a fool,
To now have others make claims...
That what someone has exposed and done,
Is not the only one with dedication and devotion...
But like anyone else who could have done the same thing.
And the one given the attention an spotlighted,
Is no exception!
'Yes.
I hear this all the time,
But...
Where were they and their evidence?
And where are the facts producing the fruits of their labors?
Anthing!
I'll even set up an audition,
To quiet their complaints.'
Well...
Thats' the problem.
No one seems to be able to find the time.
'Oh.
I see.
And who amongst us,
Is given extra time....
To sacrifice in the doing of what gets done?

Showing A Growing Irritability
Faking interest.
With less than half-baked dedication,
Is still a 'wannabee' self indulging on pretense.
Hoping that an expression of devotion,
Nowhere to be shown...
Will produce without the sacrifice,
An experience unknown.
With a proven expertise unseen or exposed,
To the ones showing a growing irritability...
Around those wasting time faking,
And going through the motions.

Do You Realize Just How Talented You Are?
Those who are talented,
Probably spend less time...
Giving it recognition,
To dote on their devotion...
Of being creative.
In dismissing the notion,
That it is talent they have...
Instead of a love for what they do,
That attracts the attention...
Of those unbelieving,
The ones who are talented...
Are unaware of the discipline and stress,
That goes into the work they do...
To produce their best.
'Do you realize just how talented you are? '
~I tried.
But each time I stopped,
To acknowledge that...
Nothing I did would get done.
And it would ignore me,
As if I did not exist.
Choosing then to concentrate,
On other interests.
However...
I have realized this,
It is best that I do not pay attention to it.
Since I've noticed this allows me,
To do what I do to accomplish something.
I have no interest in critiquing,
As much as others seem to find the time to do.~
'Oh?
So you are not aware of it? '
~I love what I do.
Trying to find ways to define it,
Is too self absorbing and a waste of time.
However...
If you are here to deliver assessments,
Try not to be too insensitive.
This I have observed,
Creates a lot of friction.
And a stubborn defensiveness,
You will not believe.
THAT I know I can show you,
Easily.
For some reason that skill I am very familiar with.~

My Best Conversations
Hearing people complain,
Reminds me of a child...
Who has been told to be patient.
But couldn't.
And did their spoiled routines,
To be seen in public.
'Someone should have whacked him,
Or her on the ass.
But that time has passed.'
Those, of course, are my thoughts.
Kept to myself.
And after learning personally,
That patience with sacrifice...
And the doing of those things,
That were right for me...
Pays in the delivery,
Of unbelievable blessings...
My patience has become short,
With people whining all the time.
It seems my best conversations,
Have been with people...
I discovered had aches and pains,
And at no time with me did they mention them.
Or did they give me a reason to suspect it.
Until I noticed a slight limp when we shared smiles,
To then walk away.
It's still amazes me how many things I find to do,
The moment I hear others begin to make excuses.

You Are Such An Actor
You have been a highly acclaimed person,
For a number of years.
And yet you do not appear to be on anyone's radar.
Very few people know who you are.
Why are you flying so low?
Is that intentional?
'What are you saying?
What point are you making? '
If more people knew who you were,
You would be respected more.
'And that is a very sad commentary to make,
About today's people.
Isn't it?
To think one has to first impress others,
With a doing that gets attention mentioned...
To then be treated as a human being?
Oh, I just wake up everyday praying,
For that kind of notoriety! '
You should.
'And why is that? '
It would make me feel better to say,
I know you.
'Stop it. Stop it.
The thought of it gives me goose bumps.
To think my efforts known by more people,
Would enhance the only purpose you have in your life...
To feel better about yourself.
Oh 'wow' I'm beginning to feel such a rush that thrills me inside.'
You are such an actor.
'And you should find something else to do,
Than wasting your time trying to find how mine operates.
If I sought to seek that kind of attention,
I would have long devoted myself in re-creating the wheel.'
And what does that mean?
'Having no ambition and stealing from others,
What had already been invented.
To then set my aim to make claims of what I've done.
With my eyes affixed to fame and glory.
Like nearly everyone who wishes a 'Reality Show'.
Why haven't you done that?
That would have made it a lot easy for me to accept.
'With the giving to me respect,
Right? '
Of course.
Those reality shows are so...
Real.
'And hollow of any sign of content.'
Yep. You are out of touch.
'Thank you.
And I am glad very few have noticed,
Just how distant and out of touch I am and can be.'

Me And My Guitar
Me and my guitar
Always in the same mood
I am mostly flesh and bones
And he is mostly wood
Never does grow impatient
For the changes I don't know, no
If he can't go to heaven
Maybe, I don't want to go, Lord
Picture me in the key of E
Call me Uncle John
Any fool can easily see
That we go back a long time
Feel something like fine to me
There's no such thing as the wrong time
He hops up on my knee
Singing, get down pops
It's song time
Every now and then I'm a lonely man
It's nice to know that I've got a friend
Puts his power right in my hand
All l've got to do is the best I can
If I can
Got a dog named David
Got a bird named Dinah
Got a birthmark on my thigh
In the shape of Mainland China
Got a somewhat southern accent
'Cause I come from Carolina
And if you want to find us
We'll be walking right behind you
I hear horns
I hear voices
I hear strings
Seems I was born
With too many choices
Now what am I going to do
With all these extra things
As they serve to confuse me, really
It's me and my guitar
Essentially me and my guitar
Oh maybe a few friends fall by for tea
A little bit of who do you love
But pay no attention
To the man behind the curtain
It's me and my guitar
Having fun, boogie, woogie, uh-huh
Me and my guitar

Trying To Hide The Evidence
The one thing that is disturbing,
About observing ignorance...
Is the time people spend,
Denying with a hiding of the evidence.
And defending it and themselves,
By doing the best they can to protect it...
From being criticized by those believed,
Are enemies...
Making attempts to take it away from them.

Getting Better
Its getting better all the time
I used to get mad at my school
The teachers who taught me werent cool
Youre holding me down, turning me round
Filling me up with your rules
Ive got to admit its getting better
A little better all the time
I have to admit its getting better
Its getting better since youve been mine
Me used to be a angry young man
Me hiding me head in the sand
You gave me the word
I finally heard
Im doing the best that I can
Ive got to admit its getting better
A little better all the time
I have to admit its getting better
Its getting better since youve been mine
Getting so much better all the time
Its getting better all the time
Better, better, better
Its getting better all the time
Better, better, better
I used to be cruel to my woman
I beat her and kept her apart from the things that she loved
Man I was mean but Im changing my scene
And Im doing the best that I can
I admit its getting better
A little better all the time
Yes I admit its getting better
Its getting better since youve been mine
Getting so much better all the time
Its getting better all the time
Better, better, better
Its getting better all the time
Better, better, better
Getting so much better all the time

Out From the Woodwork...AGAIN
Prepare for them.
They are plotting...
To make surprises appearances,
From nowhere.
Out from the woodwork.
Those who once had issues,
With your lifestyle and how you lived.
Those who criticized your efforts.
And everything you did.
But time have changed.
And an exchange of fortunes,
Have occured.
Those who thought nothing of slandering you,
And now wishing for your time,
To impose upon you...
Wanting full attention.
And their voices to be heard!
Prepare for them.
They are plotting...
To make surprises appearances,
From nowhere.
Out from the woodwork.
Those who called you a fool and jerk...
Are out of time, money.
A place to live!
Since they are out of work,
And integrity!

The Kind Of 'Labor' Most Enjoyed
I am not a rocket scientist.
But with the aid of observation,
I can tell you this...
Making things look easy to do,
Has a way of creating lazy people.
Often I've heard it said by others,
'They do what 'they' do because it is loved...
And easy.
Anybody can do that.
They don't have to work...
Like I do.'
And I have been in positions to 'see' that 'work'!
A blinded trained Seal could have produced much better.
This is not an exaggeration.
More folks sit back to procrastinate,
Than to get things done.
Not only discipline is missing.
People are just not accustomed to dedication.
Unless...
They are dedicated to the wasting of time.
And 'getting-down-and-funky' over a three day weekend,
Best expresses that devotion to the kind of 'labor' most enjoyed.
To be followed by a Monday of complaints,
And expected pay.
For doing absolutely nothing until the middle of the week.
And me?
I could never find this acceptable.

Identifiable Senselessness
A fool will always insist,
There is something besides an imbecile...
Inside that resides and does exist.
It is just the proving of this...
Seems much deeper under the surface,
That even floodlights can not find the evidence...
Because of the darkness clouding,
This kind of clownish mind...
All of the time,
With an identifiable senselessness.
A fool will always insist,
There is something besides an imbecile...
Inside that resides and does exist.
One argument is,
If one cares to know...
A fool would rather not let just anyone be exposed,
To a rare an unappreciated intelligence kept within.
Stop grinning!
For the fear that polluted thoughts may attempt to corrupt,
The brilliance that is shown once secrets have been discussed.
That's 'that' argument.
Now...
The more popular argument is,
That the proof is in the pudding.
And very few have any patience left,
To stay around wishing to get a taste of it!
With the amusement of waiting for an appearance,
Dwindling quicker by the minute.
Knowing that a fool is just seeking the attention.

Just Say No
Attention party people its a APB
that is an all points bulleton from Young MC
now rather your a senior citizen or just a tike
just grab a seat and pay attention as i rock the mic
I wrote a couple of Rhymes and call them just say no
dedicated to the people who are on the go
and when can help you out when you are on the brink
and when you listen this jam can make you think
If you were ever in a situation
with out enough time for comtimplation
all of your friends go in the same way
you feel kind of traped, you dont know what to say
Just say no
'cause better safe then sorry
this is for real, this aint no game or folly
its your life and you only got one
so you better do it right or it will soon be done
You want to be popular, you want to be cool
you want to be the one that every body likes at school
you want to be every thing just for every one else
but you better thing of what you want to be for your self
Every day people livin in the same old mess
hard to be original and not be like the rest
you got to go for what you know, you cant afford to guess
and heaven knows what would happen if you did say yes
so say NO
just say NO
You hear me say NO...no...no...no
Just say NO
kids OD and cause a family greef
over the marajana plant and the coco leaf
over a bunch of pills to try to get their thrills
over a drug you shoot becuase you think it's cute
Over something you smoke, man it aint no joke
over something you drink oh boy why dont you think
over something you snort like you were playing a sport
one day you'll go to far and you'll come up short
Some people out there dont seem to get my point
tellin other crack kills while their smoking a joint
well the point of this song is to tell you the facts
some people die from smoking the tree like they die from crack
Not a drug im particular but drugs in general
their not good for you like a vitamin or a mineral
they come in liquid, leaf, powder, pills, and rocks
to put you six feet under on your back in a box
so say NO
just say NO
did you hear me say NO...no...no...no
just say NO

No Time To Find
People say they have no time to find,
To exercise their bodies or bring a peace...
To their minds.
But they do seem to schedule a time,
To eat.
Be lazy,
And procrastinate.
Hate people do,
The obedience of discipline.
But claims to maintain a faith...
For the right things to do.
And for them to begin.
Hate people do,
Those who sacrifice and succeed.
With a critiquing done of them openly...
To keep their insecurities,
And condoned weaknesses defended...
To continue doing what they please.
People say they have no time to find,
To exercise their bodies or bring a peace...
To their minds.
But they do seem to schedule a time,
To eat.
Be lazy,
And procrastinate.

As a Poet
The thing I like best,
About having the freedom to express...
As a poet,
Is this:
I can choose if so desired and wished,
To be objective about it.
Whatever it is I decide to write.
And in other heartfelt touching moments,
I let others find the meaning.
To take as long as time permits,
To uncover something subjective.
With a close inspection,
Of exposed sentiments.
And I don't have to be in their presence,
To agree or disagree.
Or even like it myself.
Since when anthing I have written,
Is explored for left clues and hints...
I have moved on to create,
Other 'works' that may or may not...
Make more or even less sense.
Like this 'one'.
Someone will find worthy of debate.
Or scan through to scathe.
If it is not found to appeal to an appetite liked.
But it will be re-read.
Because poems I write sits in readers' heads.
With an intent intensively.

Observation Says It
Those who say,
They've stopped what they've done...
To spend more time with their families.
Need to be heard...
To begin the flowing of deception.
Many have a need to hear themselves,
Dancing through the bushes.
Give me eye contact on this one please!
How important was the family in the first place,
That one has had an option...
Whether to spend that time or not?
Time is made for...
Waste.
Procrastination.
Sleaze and drive by stops,
To silent cravings.
Shop.
And strolls through malls to wish.
When people are full of themselves,
Like this...
They make all kinds of excuses.
And the ones most creative,
Come from those knee deep in ego!
That's the way 'observation' says it goes.
After years of having other priorities,
No one is going to use guilt of doing what they want...
To satisfy anything the think they can,
For me!
Not after years of having other priorities.
Not here!
Not...
IF I am on their agenda.
And that had been established...
When times 'then' were fresh and exciting.
When people meet and say things sweet...
Doesn't it seem they've become stuck together,
With glue?
Until appetites change,
For a taste of something new.
Comeon...
None of this is rocket science!
Nonsense begets nonsense begets more of it!
And the evidence of that is all around.
Some carry it in their pockets.
That's how addicted they've become.
And for quite a few...
That nonsense is pressed up against their noses.
Or sitting in a prison cell.
A parent visiting a 'lost child'.
'Your honor...
I could have spent more time with my children,
BUT...
I was too busy creating acceptable excuses.
And hey...
What can I say?
I sold them.
And they were bought! '
If that excitement has gone...
Do not use alibis and excuses,
To try to recapture 'those moments'.
People who say they do 'this' and 'that',
For their families...
With a doing that is not there for them,
As real as the feeling of pain has been?
Gets no smothering of attention...
For an instant replay of 'could ofs' and 'what ifs'.
They shouldn't.
With expectations?
That's just how it is with me.
And why I choose to live alone.
If there is no time for me...
When no time comes to stay for anyone?
There is no need trying to find it!
It's gone!
That's it.
Time doesn't sit listening to time tick...
Or tock from a clock!
It just does not!

Left No Evidence
Out of time and no one noticed
Rubbing up a different way
Out of step but still in focus things to say
Kicking out the social pressure
Holding on to what you feel
Being you was never easy
Sliding off the the ferris wheel
Small was beautiful to you
Things are on a micro scale
Turned your back on power and glory
Yours was such a personal tale
Dancing to a different step now
Choose youre beats along the way
Nothing arrives at youre house packaged
No glittery wrap to throw away
Cutting different shapes and sizes
Bringing tomorrow into today
No one noticed you as you snuck in the sideline and talked in a quiet way
No bullshit no theatrics no pretence and left no evidence
You left no evidence
You left no evidence

Effort
It takes initiative.
Sometimes unrelenting...
To accomplish a task,
From the beginning to end.
And there are times,
What one has chosen to do...
May be too much loved,
To ever give up to walk away.
With motivation, purpose and direction,
It takes effort to make things work.
It takes sacrifice applied.
And initiative with sacrifice 'and' devotion...
May require dedication for the rest of one's life.
Depending on how deeply one is determined and affected.
No matter how easy or hard it may look,
From the outside looking in.
It takes effort to make things work.
It takes sacrifice applied.
And initiative with sacrifice 'and' devotion.
With that set in motion,
Few people could careless how they are perceived.
Knowing blood, sweat and many tears,
May never be subjected to leave.
Oh yes...
It takes effort to make things work.
It takes sacrifice applied.
And with that set in motion,
In the heart of one devoted...
Few doing this could careless,
How they are perceived by the rest.
It takes an effort that will be tested.

White Hot Day
Instrumental version called bass line
In time, only time, speak for time, in time
Time calls, time cries, sweet friend of mine
Time could be a place, a spirit and a face
Teardrops through time
While away below, the whirlwinds will blow
A pretty nation speaks in time
The beauty of it is, to waken up to
Shake the hand of time
In time, only time, well speak for time
On a quiet night of a white hot day
Whisper the things that will come our way
On a quiet night of a white hot day
Hold back the years, hold back the years
Time calls, time cries, sounds like a friend of mine
Time will run to meet, the slick and shiny beat
That creeps to me through time
While away below, the whirlwinds will blow
A pretty nation sleeps in time
The beauty of it is
Well wake up to, shake the hand of time
In time, only time, in time, only time
In time
On a quiet night of a white hot day
Whisper the things that will come our way
On a quiet night of a white hot day
Hold back the tears, hold back the tears
In time, only time, well speak for time
On a quiet night of a white hot day
Whisper the things that will come our way
On a quiet night of a white hot day
Hold back the tears, hold back the tears
In time, only time
Quiet night of a white hot day
Whisper the things that will come our way
On a quiet night of a white hot day
Roll back the years, roll back the years
In time, only time, well speak for time
On a quiet night
Hold back the tears to another day
Quiet night of a white hot day
Hold back the tears, hold back the tears
Time, only time, speak for time
Quiet night of a white hot day
Whisper the things that will come our way
On a quiet night of a white hot day
Roll back the years, roll back the years
In time, only time, speak for time
Quiet night of a white hot day
Hold back the tears to another day
Quiet night of a white hot day
