Prick
She was told it would prick,
If she put her hand on it.
And sure enough it did.
I slide her hand
Between both of mine,
And rubbed!
She noticed then,
How small the prick.
Thinking it to be bigger!
I assured her it was not!
Showing her how to hold it.
And from then on...
We both enjoyed the Rose!

The Only Hand You'll Need To Hold
When you need to be love, let me love you
When you need a friend, reach out to me
When you need reassuring that it's alright
Anything you need, that what I'll be
For I want to be the one you always come to
When you find you need a place to go
Let mine be the hand you always cling to
Mine will be the only hand you ever need to hold
Mine will be the only hand you ever need to hold
I can be the one that makes you happy
I'll be your umbrella when it rains
I will be someone that you can count on
In other words, I'll be your everything
For I want to be the one you always come to
When you find you need a place to go
Let mine be the hand you always cling to
Mine will be the only hand you ever need to hold
Mine will be the only hand you ever need to hold
I want to be the one you always come to
When you find you need a place to go
Let mine be the hand you always cling to
Mine will be the only hand you ever need to hold
Mine will be the only hand you ever need to hold

Small Victories!
small minds, small dreams,
small prayers, small God.
small thoughts, small answers,
to questions not small!
playing the race game,
the salvation game,
the mine and yours game,
the right and wrong game.
like cattle herded
unknowingly to slaughter.
every body a ticket,
to pay the fare.
bigger picture, bigger concepts,
bigger than i and me!
bigger risk, bigger world,
bigger choices, small victories.

We Prick You
White boys falling on the fires of night
(I wish youd tell)
Flesh punks burning in their glue
Revelation comes in the strangest way
(I wish youd tell)
Id rather be inside you
Tell the truth
Tell the truth
Tell the truth
We prick you we prick you we prick you
You show respect even if you disagree
You show respect
Mama can I kiss you daddy can I tell
(we wish you well)
Innocence passed me by
Wanna be screwing when the nightmare comes
(I wish you well)
Wanna come quick and die
All the little rose-kissed foxy girls
(shoes, shoes, little white shoes)
Where have all the flowers gone
All the little fragile champion boys
(toys, toys, little black toys)
Dripping on the end of a gun

Hold My Hand
Today, when she comes in,
Ill be standing at the door, and I wont say any more.
I know that shes been there.
Its not the way I look at her, its the way she looks at me.
Yes you can hold my hand any other night,
Hold my hand, its gonna be all right.
Hold my hand any other night of the week,
Its all right.
Hold my hand any other night,
Hold my hand, its gonna be all right.
Hold my hand any other night of the week,
Its all right.
Hold my hand.
Hold my hand.
Hold my hand.
When she lays on my bed,
Its not me shes thinking of, its just me that really cares.
My time, I know is out,
And shell be walking through that door,
And shell lie again tomorrow night.
Yes you can hold my hand any other night,
Hold my hand, its gonna be all right.
Hold my hand any other night of the week,
Its all right.
Hold my hand any other night,
Hold my hand, its gonna be all right.
Hold my hand any other night of the week,
Its all right.
Hold my hand.
Hold my hand.
Hold my hand.
Hold my hand.

We Are the Results of Our Seductions
Dieting on erotic products,
Induces an hypnotic feeling started.
And like a narcotic,
We are quick to become hooked.
Baited with temptations...
Seasoned to fry,
Or baked like a fish cooked.
And this mainlining,
Done to us without the prick of needles.
Afflicted with addictions done...
Without the prick of needles.
Dieting to get a fix,
Without the prick of needles to assist it.
Baited with temptations...
Seasoned to fry,
Or baked like a fish cooked.
Hooked!
We are the results of our seductions.

Gospel Plow
Mary wore three links of chain,
Every link was jesus name,
Keep your hand on that plow, hold on,
Oh, lord, oh, lord,
Keep your hand on that plow, hold on.
Mary, mark and luke and john,
All them prophets so good and gone,
Keep your hand on that plow, hold on,
Oh, lord, oh, lord,
Keep your hand on that plow, hold on.
Well I never been to heaven, but Ive been told,
Streets up there are lined with gold,
Keep your hand on that plow, hold on,
Oh, lord, oh, lord,
Keep your hand on that plow, hold on.
Oh, lord, oh, lord,
Keep your hand on that plow, hold on.
Oh, lord, oh, lord,
Keep your hand on that plow, hold on.

Balloon
I'm a little balloon and I get puffed up
squeeze me and bend me it's never enough
Put your lips around me, blow me up
but if you prick me I will pop
I'm a little balloon full and firm
here is my aft and here is my stern
Here's my lips and here's my hose
put me down or I will burst
If you prick me I will burst

The Key
Sometimes I have this scary dream
In my head
Apocalyptic scenes
It makes my instincts mad
Surrounded by machinery
The warheads never ever rest
It's an untrustful century
So open up
You hold the key in your hand
Unlock the door to the future
You hold the key in your hand
The end of all the torture
And all the time I wake and scream
Where's a lead
Assassinated hopes
They make my body bleed
We're running out of energy
How did we generate this mess
Made ourselves the enemy
So open up
You hold the key in your hand
Unlock the door to the future
You hold the key in your hand
The end of all the torture
Nobody's there to help - we're just
On our own
The epidemics rage
We rally to the call
We're the leaders of our destiny
It's the only other chance we've got
Why are we unable mentally
To open up
You hold the key in your hand
Unlock the door to the future
You hold the key in your hand
The end of all the torture
You hold the key in your hand
Never say no one told ya
You hold the key in your hand
I hope the message will reach ya
You hold the key in your hand

Hold My Hand
Hold my hand
We, two, shall walk as one
Hold my hand
We'll repair all damage done
Hold my hand
Cradle me in your embrace
Hold my hand
Our future, together, we'll face
Hold my hand
Please never let me go
Hold my hand
I love you more than you know

Hand I Hold
The hand I hold
is the hand of love
when people see me anywhere.
The hand that steadies me
when storm clouds appear.
The hand that wipes away
the tears I want to hide.
The hand I hold
is the hand of love
tender soft and warm.
The hand that mends
and helps time heal
any wanton sore.
The hand that comforts
when tragedies come to pass.
The hand I hold
is the hand of love
and will be with me
until the day I die.

Hold My Hand
With a little love, and some tenderness
Well walk upon the water
Well rise above this mess
With a little peace, and some harmony
Well take the world together
Well take em by the hand
cause Ive got a hand for you
cause I wanna run with you
Yesterday, I saw you standing there
Your head was down, your eyes were red
No comb had touched your hair
I said get up, and let me see you smile
Well take a walk together
Walk the road awhile, cause
cause Ive got a hand for you
Ive got a hand for you
cause I wanna run with you
Wont you let me run with you? yeah
Hold my hand
Want you to hold my hand
Hold my hand
Ill take you to a place where you can be
Hold my hand
Anything you wanna be because
I wanna love you the best that, the best that I can
See I was wasted, and I was wasting time
till I thought about your problems, I thought about your crimes
Then I stood up, and then I screamed aloud
I dont wanna be part of your problems
Dont wanna be part of your crowd, no
cause Ive got a hand for you
Ive got a hand for you
cause I wanna run with you
Ah, wont you let me run with you?
Hold my hand
Want you to hold my hand
Hold my hand
Ill take you to the promised land
Hold my hand
Maybe we cant change the world but
I wanna love you the best that, the best that I can, yeah
Hold my hand
Want you to hold my hand
Hold my hand
Ill take you to a place where you can be
Hold my hand
Anything you wanna be because
I...oh...no, no, no, no, no
Hold my hand
Want you to hold my hand
Hold my hand
Ill take you to the promised land
Hold my hand
Maybe we cant change the world but
I wanna love you the best that, best that I can
Oh, the best that I can

My Other Hand...
the black man's hand,
the poor man's hand.
the Muslim hand, the Jewish hand...
the gay man's hand,
the working man's hand,
the ex-convict's hand,
the farmer's hand, the garbage man's hand...
the Christian's hand, the atheist's hand,
the father's hand, the soldier's hand,
the peacemaker's hand,
the healer's hand, the teacher's hand,
the prodigal's hand, even the murderer's hand...
the victim's hand, the broken hand,
the praying hand, the touching hand...
all, when extended,
feel like my other hand!

Anoint a villain and he will prick you, prick a villain and he will anoint you.
I Exist Only In The Mind
imagine a bubble
crystal
or made of glass
or soap
floating in the air
where i am inside
imagine a quick
prick of the needle
from a child's hand
puff!
i flip flop
i am gone.

Reunited
When I received a letter from my Dad,
Saying he didn't want to meet,
I decided to go and confront him.
I wasn't going to admit defeat.
'I told you in my letter not to come.
I thought I made that perfectly clear!
It would never work. I don't even know you, '
Were not the words I'd hoped to hear.
'It's too late, ' he told me.
'You've got your life. I've got mine.'
He was shocked when I told him
I'd lost my Mum in an accident when I was nine.
My brother, Luke, asked me to stay in touch.
He was begging me to stay,
But there seemed nothing between me and Dad,
And I thought it best for me to go away.
When I was small, we went for walks.
It was always Dad's hand I wanted to hold.
It kept me from falling.
It kept me from the cold.
I was sitting in the car ready to leave,
But took one last look out the window.
Dad was stood there. I went to him.
'Don't go, ' he pleaded. 'Please, don't go! '
As he held my hand in his
For the first time in thirty years,
I found it totally impossible
To hold back the flood of tears.
I put my head on his shoulder,
And we held each other tight.
This was the moment I'd dreamed of,
And now I was convinced the moment was right.

Her Last Breath
You had six months to live
Not three weeks
You lay here motionless
Thinking of what to say
I stand beside you
Day and night
Wishing it could go away
She placed her hand in mine
And said her life was good
She had lived long and well
Her hand shakes as death nears
I hold her hand tight
As tears run down my face
As she took what was her one last breath
I feel my heart break
She turned and said she loved me
As her eyes closed
And her body was left lifeless
With me by her side
And her tears in my hand
Today with me she took her last breath
When it was not yet her time to go

Where Are Your Roses
Tell me friends, where are your roses?
A blooming rose pricks me with its horn andI let a cry sweet,
”Oh rose I love you”.
In this garden of pests and reptiles
Who grows this rose of just one thorn?
That is born to prick me alone?
Never do I get an answer
But the gardener throws a smile at me.
He thinks that I love this rose.
An idea springs off at last and
An answer redeems me at times.
There is no rose without a thorn.
Tell me friends, where are your roses?
