Prevent The Feeding Of Routine
Choosing to chase,
An undisciplined pet into the woods...
Becomes a game that remains the same.
If a seriousness is meant,
To change a habit that was not one's intent...
Prevent the feeding of routine.

Change Of Habit
(words & music by b. kaye - b. weisman)
If youre in old habits
Set in your old ways
Changes are a-comin
For these are changing days
And if your head is in the sand
While things are goin on
What you need, what you need,
What you need is a change of habit
Now if youre in the habit
To let your temper fly
When you talk with people
Who dont see eye to eye
And if you dont believe it
Theres a newer world ahead
What you need, what you need,
What you need is a change of habit
A change of habit, a change of outlook
A change of heart, youll be all right
The halls of darkness
Have doors that open
Its never too late
To see the light
So if youre in the habit
Of putting people down
Just because theyre different
From the wrong side of town
Well, dont count on any medals son
Theyre pinning none on you
What you need, what you need,
What you need is a change of habit

Change never changes
Change remains change,
Change never changes,
Economy, who can predict?
High rates coming on with conflict,
One penny was enough for a loaf,
But today a million is nothing,
Why should every one complain,
Because change remains change it is changeless,
Glance at weather, yesterday a desert,
But now floods homes people desert,
Only if one can stand aloof,
Cast the eye beyond the horizon,
All is clear no clouds anywhere on this zone,
Then why should we complain,
Because change remains change it is changeless,
Doctrines, norms, beliefs and principles so dear,
All discarded none holds them anymore near,
When a woman beats a man we only laugh,
Religious quarters today remains a mess,
Church business today nicknamed God, s blessedness,
Didn't you go to God to harvest milk and honey,
Why today you go to harvest money?
All this meant to understand change,
How inevitable is change?
How unavoidable is change?
So must we accept change it never changes.

Change Your Mind
Why dont you ever listen?
Its you Im talking to
This time its your decision
Were into something new
I know that Im sinking
Oh any fool can see
Time that I was thinking
Of no-one else but me
Change your mind
Nothing ever stays the same
Change your mind
No-one ever plays the game game game
Change your mind
Give up what you cant defend
Change your mind
Think it up and start again gain gain
Why cant you reconsider
Listen if you care
Take familiar giver
Reject me if you dare
Give me what Im asking
And save it all for me
Love thats everlasting
Thats how its meant to be
Change your mind
Nothing ever stays the same
Change your mind
No-one ever plays the game game game
Change your mind
Give up what you cant defend
Change your mind
Think it up and start again gain gain
Change your mind
Nothing ever stays the same
Change your mind
No-one ever plays the game game game

Give up what you cant defend

My Luck Wont Change
Refrain:
The cances you gave me,
A definite maybe,
But luck shes a lady,stayed
She played for me.
Theres gold in the mountain,
Good fortune for countin,
Three coins in the fountain,
And my luck wont change,
Take dust from the coalmine,
Make dust from the goldmine,
King midas youre sidelined,
And my luck wont change no my luck remains.
Chorus:
No point in shouting,
Whoever there was doudting,
Im at the top of the mountain,
And my luck wont change.
The stock market read it,
The rumours they spread it,
And I meant it when I said it,
That my luck wont change,
No my luck remains.
That old lover lost me,
She spent and she cost me,
My new love has taught me,
That my luck wont change.
(my luck wont change-my luck remains)
Refrain:
The offer she made me,
Was more than just maybe,
But luck whos a lady stayed,
She played for me.
Repeat 1st verse
Chorus:
My temperatures rising,
No point in disguising,
The phoenix is arising,
And my luck wont change-no it just remains.
My luck,my luck wont change.

What is meant? What sent?
WHAT IS MEANT? WHAT SENT?
Impediments lament
not in themselves, content
within to document
the signs which represent
Fate’s patterns which serpent
beyond what impatient
minds see evidence patent.
For what is meant? what sent?
What is lent intent
upon safe tent, soft scent,
when statements can't be bent
to complement hopes' vent?
No compliments prevent
time spent, ascent, descent, -
can circumvent Chance pent
preparing element
to catalyze, cement,
success when two consent
to celebrate event -
of all most excellent -
when selfless sentiment
expels self-evident
expediency meant
to supplement the rent.

Twice Becomes a Habit
Doing what we please.
With the selling of our embellishments.
Has come under much scrutiny.
And a call to be precise...
Does not sit too comfortably,
With those irresponsible.
And others n'er do well.
Seeking a laziness to entice.
To abuse this twice becomes a habit.
To keep it fed becomes routine.
Some may see this as discrimination.
Not a justification...
To do away with incompetence.
And those who half accomplish...
What their intentions find difficult to finish.
These days a mediocrity,
Is being ushered from the spotlight.
Success comes with applied effort.
Not from those accepted as nice.
But aren't up to the challenge...
To get things done,
With sacrifice.
To abuse this twice becomes a habit.
To keep it fed becomes routine.
Gone are those days of going through the motions.
And adopting the notion,
Procrastination fascinates those with patience waiting.
Time is not a blind date...
Hoping to approve who shows and comes,
Out of breath with expressed excuses.
And annoying the diligent ones.
That tick-tocking on those clocks have stopped!
To abuse this twice becomes a habit.
To keep it fed becomes routine.
And refusing people like this,
From addressed strict agendas...
Keeps a purpose with direction flourished.
As long as it is understood...
They will always be kept in minds respected.
But their absence is welcomed,
When they are far away from strategic scenes.
Not to demean.
But to accomplish.
'No offense.
But we are here to get things done.
You understand that,
Don't you? '

Ritual
Every morning he goes to the church
though not religious, not really much
tidily dressed, looking so neat
the routine is a way, for him a habit
he prays for nothing, nothing he wants
it's all ritual, the prayers he chants
Years roll by, he grows frail and old
till he is laid in a coffin, dark and cold
the hearse carries him to the church he went
there is no prayer, he remains silent.

Face
It gets difficult to control my feelings
Cannot change myself
I will always be me, no matter what happens
I cannot stop being myself
This may make me appear as evil, in the view of others
Though, I am willing to accept this situation
Always, I will be me, even if it hurts
In this life, pain is meant to be
Cannot prevent things from happening, which are meant to be
The reality, I will simply face, even if it does hurt
Let, things be as the way they are meant to be
Face, I will simply face this life.

An ever-relished chase
It has been a long chase
For something or the other
Over these years
As a kid it was a chase
For toys and play things
As a student it was a chase
For marks and ranks
As a youth it was a chase
After career and growth
And later it was chase
For getting the right life partner
The chase continued
For off-springs’ upbring
It was later to chase
For helping children settle
Ageing made me chase
For cure from illnesses
And other physical malfunctions
Yes,
It was a long chase for
Something or the others all these days
One understanding dawned in me
That
You will not get that
Which you have not chased
And
You will not get every thing
Which you have chased
Even if you get the object of your chase
It is not going to be in that form
In which it was when you started the chase
Unfruitful chase proves frustrating
Fruitful chase exciting
Wisdom will tell you that
The pleasure is more with the act of chase
Than getting hold of the object of chase
Holding of the object of chase
And sustaining its charm
Are essential after the end of chase
Very likely, chase for objects of
Worldly significance
Takes away your energy
And a lot of time elapses
Before you get in possession
Of your chase-objects
The duration at times is so large
That you wonder at the end of the chase
As to what for this object has been chased
The one chase which
Has the least probability
Of ending and
You hardly get hold of the
Object of chase
Is the
Chase for self-actualization
Or self-realization
This is the chase after your spirit
That kept you going all these days
And that will keep you going
Till that time when you away
Spiritual scholars assure
That this chase is really exciting
And remains so for any long
Whether or not
You come across what you are chasing
Develop a taste for such a chase
As this chase
Never makes you tired
But helps you remain balanced, cool
And unmindful of happenings
Around you
It is indeed an ever-relished chase

The Sand
The sand on the beach never looks the same,
No matter where you stand something always has to change
Why does life have to be so difficult?
Not always do things have to change,
People would rather have things stay the same…
But what fun would that be,
Things set to a routine
Always knowing, no excitement
People would rather have routine instead of change.

Habit
this is by force of habit
that my fingers
caress the keys
to make
another poem
for the day,
nothing is really
significant,
nothing to give
us power,
it is like
brushing my teeth,
washing my hands,
gargling vinegar with salt,
defecating,
putting my brief
and shorts,
straightening my collar,
inserting my shirt
locking my belt,
combing my hair,
going to the office,
you try going further
than all these,
sorry, there is nothing here
but just routine,
plain typing, and reporting,
stating
and even
by force of habit
without thinking
i said, keep doing
what you do with your life,
do not follow me,
there is nothing
important about this,
this is routine,
the usual path,
where everyone passes
and goes and enters
and exits and
exits and enters
all over again
until death surprises
you no more,
comes like
plain closing and opening
of the office door.

My Bad Habit
I said I would change
Make things different this time
Change my ways
Change my habits
My bad habit
But I seem so addicted
Your my addiction
Which is so wrong
Cause there is no cure
No recovery
Even relocation won’t help
Death would be my solution...?
Your like my next ‘fix’
When I wake
During my day
When I fall asleep
I am restless...edgy without it
Your my bad habit
I said I would change
I need to change
Cause death can’t be it
I just need to control it
Every time I see you
Every time I talk to you
Every time you touch me
Every time you near me
Everyday I miss you

Robotic Routine
We wake up in the morning
to a cup of coffey
to some it's just a cup
to others a trophy
We do our daily needs
get ready for work
we feed our hungry stomaches
like pathetic jerks
Then we climb into our cars
and away we go
to join the other millions
on this circus show
We really should stop
and think for a while
we're doing the same thing
and with no damn style
We need to change our lives
by adding some color
we have to change routine
in our tuned out motor
We have to come alive
and change our scene
we need to say good-bye
to our robotic routine.

Did It Happen When I Stopped Complaining?
Somewhere along my journey,
I grew up.
I became both accountable
And took responsibility for my actions.
There were many along the way,
Who could not keep up the pace.
Somehow as I aged...
I held onto my faith,
With a painful self assessment I learned to face.
Saw my flaws and accepted them.
And not an excuse do I make.
It's too late for that now anyway.
That's why I am pleased to be the me I am.
I know the meaning of forgiveness and sacrifice.
And those realities have led me to my growth!
Somewhere along my journey,
I grew up.
I knew I would become a victim of confusion and stress.
I'm even impressed!
When did I wisen up...
To take my life with such seriousness?
Somewhere along my journey,
I grew up.
Did it happen when I stopped complaining?
Did I refuse to change the rules in the middle of the game?
Or did the violation of those rules,
I simply refused to change.
Knowing how to better play the game?
Either way...
Somewhere along my journey,
I grew up.
And pleased to be the me I am.
Still a work in process!

Maybe You Should Do More With That Rabbit
Out of all tricks I've seen you perform,
The one I love best...
Is the one you do,
That makes me want to believe...
I can be attracted to you.
And it is funny too.
You should keep that as part of your act.
'It's not meant to be funny.
I am attracted to you.
Maybe I should develop the intent.'
Oh.
OH!
Well...
Maybe you should do more with that rabbit.
And cut out the comedy!
Or maybe not do magic at all.
And stay with the comedy.
Since it is apparent,
A lot of magic in your routine is lacking.

Those Who Laughed With Time To Waste
I never sought to be taken for a fool.
But there were those foolish enough,
Not to believe I was serious.
And perhaps that seriousness,
Had been misinterpreted.
And I have never elected,
To see them in that way.
Anyone making attempts,
To express their gifts and talents...
With intent,
Gained my respect.
Since I knew what that took.
I knew too well what that meant.
With those comments made by some and done,
And time that has come many have tried to shun...
I still have not been the one to evaluate.
A progress made.
However...
Few I knew have made great strides.
While those who laughed with time to waste...
Seem to have vanished to other places,
To grace their faces with fates they've faked.
Or wish to make attempts to do it.

Letting You Go
Can you walk away from someone you love
Can you change your lives completly
And begin life all over again
I dont want to give you up
but i know i have to
The time we were together
The things we did
Its all over
I cant go back in time and hold you any longer
We have to move on and heal our hearts
Maybe we will meet again
Maybe we wont
One day things will be right
And if were meant to be
Our hearts will fall all over
Until i know whats meant to happen
Im choosing now to let you go
And im letting you go only for the better of our lives

Life be a game
Life be not a battle but a game,
Where you can put an end
At inconvenient moment
By owning yourself beaten
Without any seriousness.
In a game you care to win
But at bottom you don’t care.
