Posturing...'What An Attitudinizer
What are they doing?
It's fascinating.
'It's not really new.
It is how they do it.
They make it look so fresh.
And so innovatively done too!
Rumor has it,
It began in D.C.
Now it's sweeping across the country.'
I like the way they stop.
Look reflectively to the sky.
Take a few steps.
Fold their arms across their chests.
Tilt their heads to the side,
As if to listen.
And repeat the process.
Then stop.
Pat a foot to look intentive.
While placing their index finger over the lips.
As if to stop the flow of speech.
Wonderful.
This is going to be mainstream one day.
'It leaves more of an impression,
With the hip hop music behind it...
Doesn't it? '
Of course it does.
That's how it caught my attention.
I could not help but stop!
I'm in awe.
I can see right now,
That's going to be a fashion rage.
What is that called?
I can't wait to introduce this to folks in my hometown!
'It has already become an underground movement.
Literally!
It's called POSTURING.
You take a position,
Then act as if you're about to do something.
But don't! '
I absolutely love it.
Posturing?
'Yep.
That's what the kids call it.
Posturing.'
Great.
Wow!
That's fabulous.
What an attitudinizer.
I can see why it's such a tremendous hit.
Posturing.
What an attitudinizer, what an attitudinizer.
Posturing.
What an attitudinizer, what an attitudinizer.
Posturing.
What an attitudinizer, what an attitudinizer.
What an attitudinizer,
That can really hypnotize...
Set your eyes and fix them,
And anyone can do!
Now...

Posturing
Posturing,
Upon your fears.
To have you pay,
For years and years.
A sacrifice demanded,
And reprimanding guilt.
Just to have you accept,
Deceptions dealt.
Without regard or empathy,
Of who has feelings deeply felt.
Posturing?
Yes!
Who benefits...
From this 'bull' that sits?
No need for guesses to further depress.
It will not be you.
You are no where in view.
You are not on the radar...
Or on this selective menu.
Neither as a consideration!
Nor as a choice to choose.

Tim on the show does a lot of that posturing, of course, and feels sort of threatened by women. But even at that, you do see him cooking, and ultimately he's a good father because he spends a lot of time with the boys.

The Gods! The Gods!
People were bathing and posturing themselves on the beach,
and all was dreary, great robot limbs, robot breasts,
robot voices, robot even the gay umbrellas.
But a woman, shy and alone, was washing herself under a tap and the glimmer of the presence of the gods was like
lilies, and like water-lilies.

Bowery Afternoon
Drab discoloration
Of faces, façades, pawn-shops,
Second-hand clothing,
Smoky and fly-blown glass of lunch-rooms,
Odors of rancid life…
Deadly uniformity
Of eyes and windows
Alike devoid of light…
Holes wherein life scratches -
Mangy life
Nosing to the gutter's end…
Show-rooms and mimic pillars
Flaunting out of their gaudy vestibules
Bosoms and posturing thighs…
Over all the Elevated
Droning like a bloated fly.

A Change You Can't Believe In
A Change You Can't Believe In
A change you might believe in
Was slowly compromised,
And nothing was accomplished
To better people's lives.
No bold decisive action-
Just posturing on the floor
Of the House and the Senate
And talks behind the door.
The public was left out
From hearings and debates,
Save for some town hall shouts
About the fascist state.
And so a monstrosity
Came to the light of day-
Two thousand plus pages
Of corporate giveaways.
So you can thank Obama
For this historic leap
Into politics as usual,
Where promises are cheap.

Hey That's Politics
Long lines of
dirty laundry & personal agenda
Mardigras masquerade
corporate mouthpiece cavalcade
Rostrum posturing - self promotion
Party paranoia propaganda - knee jerk reactive
public explosions!
Piggy banks stuffed with
broken promise vouchers...
Confidence of voters -
hope and change betrayed
in exchange for back door
return delivery
capital campaign
One message - one slogan - one priority …
the politician neglects the people
while faithfully serving - 'Me'

Squeeze
some people are wheel, in order to move, other
may not, yet they use to push, needed to exert
to the maximum tolerance just to gain spotted
appreciation
squeeze end with squeeze, moving to a huff of
grit, know not the begin, that tells the end, a
very locking situation that explosion is the
only key to lose the pain
viewed like Dalmatian, black as the stallion,
where posturing lies a drama of nothing to
resist, the big laugh thunderbolt in the
inner jealousy in every mind, for every drop
of pain the heart tremble to the ground for
another round of game
make that gazillion unspoken mode lies and
hold me not my aspiration ……

An Option
i have decided not to be serious.
i like being lackadaisical,
sorrow-free, sadness-insulated,
to just let my depression
go and leave me for a while
something that i have not
accepted really, like the way
i keep on advising this
mentally-challenged neighbor
of mine who keeps on belittling
and humiliating her husband
in front of me, telling him
that he is no good, povery stricken pig
and that she wasted her time
on him, her beauty, intelligence, and youth
squandered on
the lazy bone as him, not of her own choosing,
that she was just empty and needing
some filling, crazy indeed, but
let us start talking about myself,
i am bored and fed up
with so much lecturing and posturing
about my career and so ambitious
about climbing the ladder of success,
did i not have too much? i ask
myself, did i not have too much for the taking?
fortune, fame, family, all the 'f's' and the
'ifs', so many 'ifs' and it is making me
less of myself, undoing what i am,
looking at myself lesser, seeing always
that out there are the greener pastures,
comparing, and always in the mood
for change and something else, trying
to grab all the candies in the store.
i stop.
there is so much crowd in here, and
too much materialism, and less of the
spirit thing.
i retreat.
there is something to this world still
unexplored and misunderstood. i know.
what is happiness? i know it. i know it.
i just don't have the time. i know.
God passed me by. I did not even notice.
And i become sadder than ever.

We're Piling It Too High
Talk Not Saying Anything
What We Leave Behind
What We Can't Afford To Keep
There's No Sympathetic Posturing
There's No More True Humanity
The Old Ways Aren't Working Anymore
Let's Separate The Users
From The Whores
Creepy Crawl
Twist The 4-5 Cap
To Get Wrapped
Tight Slap The Wax
On The Wheels To Feel Alright
Find The Flow Freak
The Funk Like Your In Heat
Wrap The Leaf
Strike The Blunt
now Your In Deep
We've Got To Get Together
Got To Get With The Game plan
To Defeat The Dealer
That Dealt This Hand
I Don't Understand
Why The Kids Are Killing Kids
When The Only One's That Benefit
Are The Big Whigs
Mankind Unkind
Always A Fine Line
We've All Got To Die
And This Time It's My Time
Hindsight Blind fight
I Hate It When I'm Right

no more six foot digs
no more hypocrites
no more emptiness
no more consequence
no more puppet strings
no more disease
no more growing up
no more happiness
no more lying down
no more complacence
i have
i hold the key to nothing
it's a small killing
murder
murder's in the hands
of motion...as it seems to be
no more nothing
no more anything
no more you
no more me
no more posturing victories
no more nations to defeat
no more speaking truth
no more deceit
no more holding down
no more pushing me
no more new world order
no more ANARCHY

She wins this time
She takes my mother-in-law
She knows what weakens her
And she wrecks
What used to be smooth
She plants the wrinkles
Of this legal relationship,
Then she will be taking
My wife
And there will be pain
Inflicted somewhere
Somebody gets hit so badly
She does it
She sees to it that it will be me
But no one knows it is her wrecking
Every dream I have, every plan I set
Every posturing
She wins, I give her a win
This time and tomorrow she still wins
She takes everything from me
But I have no worry at all
She is instrumental to my perfect plan
On the day that I enter this house
And mingle with her
My only plan is to be out of the door
To walk out from this floor
I could have jumped out of the window
Or break open some walls
Or take the ceiling to the roof
Where I can breathe
Where I can be out from here
And be gone with some drifting clouds
With her it was so unnecessary
She does it for me
She does it all for me
And with the thinking that she is winning this game
And this time, sorry to tell her,
This time I win.

Billy
At the risk of seeming silly,
I would ask you, 'Where is Billy?'
Here's a crisis, here's a fight,
And he's missing. Strike a light!
Blithering blazes! Here's a mill -
Rough house stuff; and where's our Bill?
Where's the speech with phrases frilly,
Trouncing foemen willy nilly,
Waving arms, gesticulations,
Posturing and wild gyrations?
Briefly, where's the vaudeville
That, in olden days was Bill?
Where's the harsh voice, rising shrilly
To uphold the views of Billy?
Far too grave grow politics,
Lacking all his circus tricks.
Missing! Missing! And, alack!
Some folk say he won't come back.
Not so I. I see him dreaming
In some chamber, planning, scheming,
Till, when we are on the verge
Of disaster, he'll emerge
With the only sane, safe plan,
For deliverance of man.
Then with one fine, regal, gesture,
He will don again the vesture
Of authority and right,
Crying, 'Come, I see the light!' . . . .
Gosh! But wouldn't we look silly
If once more we followed Billy?

Can't Stop Loving You
I watch the leaves falling to the ground
I'm walking up and down
The streets of my hometown
You're here with me like it used to be
I look around and then I'm on my own again
Can't stop loving you
Can't stop wanting you
Can't stop now that you
Made me part of you
I've heard some people say
I'm dreaming my life away
But what else can I do
Can't stop loving you
Your face I see in my memory
I close my eyes and then
I start to live again
You're holding me like it used to be
I open my eyes and then
I'm on my own again
Can't stop loving you
Can't stop wanting you
Can't stop now that you
Made me part of you
I've heard some people say
I'm dreaming my life away
But what else can I do
Can't stop loving you
Can't stop loving you
Can't stop wanting you
Can't stop feeling blue
Can't stop loving you
I can't stop loving you
Oh I can't I can't I can't.......

Can't Stop
I Can't Stop [Controversy Music]
------------
I can't stop this feeling I got
I feel it right down to my toes
I can't stop this feeling I got
My body want you don't you know
I can't stop this feeling I got
It's running all down my leg
I can't stop this feeling I got
Why you wanna make me beg
I can't stop this feeling I got
I can't stop this feeling I got
I can't stop this feeling I got
I can't stop this feeling I got
I can't stop this feeling I got
You know I can't sleep at night
I can't stop you know I love you a lot
I never want you out of my sight
I can't stop this feeling I got
I get to shakin' all in my shoes
I can't stop this feeling I got
The doctor said there's nothing that he can do
I can't stop this feeling I got
I can't stop this feeling I got
I can't stop this feeling I got
I can't stop this feeling I got
I can't stop this feeling I got
My body wants you. I want you, want you
I can't stop this feeling I got
Baby, baby, baby. Yeah
I can't stop this feeling I got
I can't stop this feeling I got
I can't stop this feeling I got
I can't stop this feeling I got
No.
I can't stop this feeling I got
I can't stop this feeling I got
I can't stop this feeling I got
I can't stop this feeling I got
Feeling, feeling, feeling, ooh.
Huh, if that don't work
Yeah what

Dancing with the cranes
Exciting, jumping, bowing, stretching
In jerky sequence, exaltation, exhilaration
Wild in a wet meadow, mutual rejoicing
Reflecting a sense of limited aggression.
Engendering hope for a free and open future,
With their elegant posturing and dramatic leaps
Enthusiastic and sometime even immature
High into the air with outstretched wings.
Coordinating bows, leaps and short flight
Liking to dance in pairs for a courtship ritual.
Turning their head and balancing the weight
Being paired for life, never trying to be perpetual
Bowing and bobbing, jumping for joy and fidelity
Throw their trumpet, grass, stone and feather
Performing ballet leaps with a graceful fragility
Better yet, they dance when they need to be together
Red-crowned, they certainly dance in the snow
Sometimes crying, crops need to be sown in June
Being in competence with light, their features glow
Soaring into the clouds as if chasing the moon.
Called simple 'the bird of happiness' in Japan
Or 'patriarch of the feathered tribe' in China,
A symbol of wisdom, painted always with the sun
A symbol of Vietnamese, beautiful images on the retina
Sandhill crane, always the great spirit of the wild
Bowing head, flapping wings in an exquisite dance,
Leaping upward, touching the ground like a child
Tossing wisp of grass, twigs into the air by chance
Imitating the crane dancers, seemingly being humane
At the ancient Chinese funerals and Okinawan festival.
In Japanese myths the soul takes the form of the crane
In India mythology, they stand for malice and betrayal.
