Pandemonium

Who but he,
Could create such pandemonium.
A flickering light that had burned out of sight.
And yet so beloved and giving.

Who but he,
Can stir unbelievable fantasies.
To secure and keep you interested,
For almost a half of a century.

Pushed into the limelight.
And made to thrill.
Made to keep producing...
To fulfill someone else's will.

Who but he,
Could create such pandemoneum?
And if looks could kill,
Each one initiated satiated...
Monstrous appetites for his love.

And somehow he knew this would grow even brighter.
After the sight of his flame was gone.
But he would make sure his flame would burn on!
And on.
And on.
And on.
With a brighter intensity sought!
Too much of him,
Is still 'sizzling' in vaults!

'It's pandemonium,
On and on.
And the beast he has created...
Is there to satiate.

It's pandemonium,
On and on.
To thrill and satisfy,
To make sure no one is denied.

'It's pandemonium,
On and on.
And he has done his best...
Now he must have his peace and rest.

'It's pandemonium,
On and on.
And with his every step...
He made sure everywhere,
Everyone...
Would hold their breath! '

He made sure...
Everyone
Everywhere,
Would hold their breath! '

'It's pandemonium,
On and on.
And the beast he has created...
Is there to satiate.

It's pandemonium,
On and on.
To thrill and satisfy,
To make sure no one who knows him,
Or those who opposed him...
Will be denied.

'Cause he's a 'thriller'
All the time.
Who thrilled us with his music,
And mind! '

Sweet Pandemonium

Today tomorrow seems so far away
In the waiting lane, yeah
So safe, in the blinding light of love unchained
In yesterdays grave, yeah
The truth I can sense so sweet
Is buried within sweet pandemonium
Concealed by disbelief
The riddle stays veiled in sweet pandemonium
Afraid that everything remains unchanged
In this fragile dream, yeah
Ashamed of the shattered remains
Of promises made, yeah
The truth I can sense so sweet
Is buried within sweet pandemonium
Concealed by disbelief
The riddle stays veiled in sweet pandemonium
Trying by the enduring dream
Faith by the enduring dream
The secret cries for worrying
Now were sinking deep in sweet pandemonium
The truth I can sense so sweet
Is buried within sweet pandemonium
Concealed by disbelief
The riddle stays veiled in sweet pandemonium

Clown Strike

Shell fix you with an iron cross
And cover you up with petals
And hang you up with some amber beads
And four or five precious metals
And in that black flamingo chair
Youll sit among her trophies
And pray to be abandoned
Till you dont know what hope is
Chorus:
But theres one thing that I had to keep inside
Because I was shaking
Why dont you get some pride
There was a clown strike
And the clowns threw down their tools
But you dont have to play so hard
And Im nobodys fool
You dont have to go so far
cause I love you as you are
The big top is deserted now
And the circus girl rehearses
She knows how to turn their heads
And not fall between two horses
But all that seems a simple step
If only I were able
To love you like I want to do
And not by some times table
Chorus
And its pandemonium
For the humble and the mighty
You dont have to tumble for me
Even a clown knows when to strike
Tell me what you want of me
Or are you terrified of failure?
You put on a superstitious face
Behind all this paraphernalia
Were not living in a masquerade
Where you only have three wishes
It isnt easy to see
In a lifetime of mistaken kisses
Chorus
In this pandemonium
For the humble and the mighty
You dont have to tumble for me
Even a clown knows when to strike

Learning To Love All The Mess

three plates remain unwashed
last night the cockroaches feast on the remains
of pork oil and morsels of rice
and bread
the dining chairs are not in place
looking like twigs in the park
after a storm

the table is littered with spilled sauce
the table cloth is stained
alcoholic
and the spoons and forks are still
having catchup on their tongues
and tails

the floor is foul with your dog's urine
and socks and shoes are roaming on the
living room

you guess it right
the universe is a big chaos

and so is this house
which is out of order
like a sink with leaking faucets

you want all your life to be in order
you wish a smooth and tidy place
vested with its own system

name-tagged and cabinetized
pieces

but it simply is not just
the way things work out

your dreams are silly

chaos and pandemonium are the orders of the
days of our lives
and so here i am with this firm resolve
to the flexibility of adaptability
for my survival

since disorder is the law
so must i obey it

to perfect my life and to put order
to my dreams and
properly accept this world's disposition
so must i
love chaos as well

go with the random flow of pandemonium
enjoy the errors
love the mistakes

and i swear to myself
beginning this ruinous day
that i,
wholeheartedly
must love all these mess

Join Me In Suicide

Where the sun sets and the moon rises,
I will meet you there at night fall
To create pandemonium one last time
But tonight will never be forgotten

For tonight we seal our deaths,
Together eternally we will be free
We climb the mountain and enter the forest
To find a place where the moon shines brightly

We leave an enthralling elegy for our loved ones
Say our goodbyes to all we will not miss
Brace ourselves for what’s about to come
We join hands and take the leap of faith…

Many a time

Many a time
Many a time
My thoughts linger
As I create a single pandemonium
From my awful imagination

I could be a killer, a stripper
If you were not here
Watching me with your weary eyes

I could be the thief
In the mist of friends
Dying of a cancer
To your unknown oblivion

Many a time
I cry in the comfort of my silence
Knowing fully well
That my burden is immense

Many a time I keep wondering
If you are actually there
For I keep on praying
Hoping that you can hear

Send me a miracle
Through anyone of your disciples
Make me once more stable
With your assistance
I am confident that I will be capable
Of turning my table
But I need you to give me that chance

Many a time
I ask myself
Why I am actually here
I do not have that answer
I fear
What I do know is that I care
I care enough to want you as my pair

It is you I want to emulate
And if I were to elaborate
My present state of view
Is that it is you that I rate

Chaos and Cosmos (Revisited)

Peace, pearls, pandemonium
Preserved in perturbed darkness
In the dynasty of redwood;
On Isolated island of civilization
Tombs of cradled desires
Like obscene scars;
Rainbow on Titan
Red with yearning dreams;
Rainbow on Earth
rusted in paleness;
Gazing behind the 'Sfumato'
The eyes of deception -
While the smile of enigma
Safe and secure under cover
The smile of life
Has gone away too far! ! !

Coming Soon Without Previews

One day the truth about what God IS,
Is going to be revealed from its masquerade.
There are those already afraid,
A pandemonium will be paraded.
Since their charaded lives...
Will be uncovered from the fraud.

And not one tailgate hotdog,
Will be served from behind an SUV.
A reality of this existence,
Is coming soon without previews...
To critique!
Or a chance to make decisions,
If it should or should not be seen...
For 'all' to see!

This major event will be remembered,
As experienced.

How is this known?
Well...
Some people actually pay attention to the signs,
As they are tossed about...
To dodge like bullets from toy guns shown!
This 'sighting' comes to magnify insights.

When We Are In It Together

when everything in you is complete
when every hair, bone, cartilage, nail,
skin is in place
you do not anymore mind what is happening
outside you
be it the crumbling of a hill into one vast plain
be it the eruption of a long extinct volcano
be it the rising of the oceans and the covering of all earth
be it the horrible scream and the fading gradually of silence

you stand still
watch everything and then
be one with the chaos
and the pandemonium
be one with peace
and the eternal silence

when we are in it together
will something ever matter?

Disliking Anger

you are two people
putting fire on your hair
the two of you alone
i watch it
i cannot be the judge
and take side
as you demand
the situation is tense
something is twisted
grilling on your heads
the curtains catch fire
from your hair
and then the pandemonium
spreads on the walls and
ceiling the
whole house is burning
balls of fire from both
of you
and so i go out
running away
to save myself

that is the time how
i start to dislike anger.

Norman MacCaig

After his Death

It turned out
that the bombs he had thrown
raised buildings:

that the acid he had sprayed
had painfully opened
the eyes of the blind.

Fishermen hauled
prizewinning fish
from the water he had polluted.

We sat with astonishment
enjoying the shade
of the vicious words he had planted.

The government decreed that
on the anniversary of his birth
the people should observe
two minutes pandemonium.

The Fire Bells Are Ringing

One, two, three--hark, hark, boys!
One, two, three, four!
The fire-bells are ringing, this wild wintry night;
They ask aid from District Thirty-four,
There somebody's riches are now taking flight;
On flame-wings away, away they soar.
But hark!
With shriek and wail,
How raves the gale!
Like demon steeds it speeds--
like galloping gangs from Pandemonium hurl'd.
Yes, firemen, take courage! did valiant deeds avail,
Then you were the victors of the world.

Ring the bells again!
Wake the electric wire!
And flash abroad the warning words--
"FIRE! FIRE!"
God save the city! for man's devices fail
When fierce flames with wintry winds conspire,
But hark!
With shriek and wail (With shriek and wail!)
How raves the gale! (How raves the gale!)
Like demon steeds it speeds--
like galloping gangs from Pandemonium hurl'd.
Yes, firemen, take courage! did valiant deeds avail,
Then your were the victors of the world.

One, two, three--hark, hark, boys!
One, two, three, four!
The fire-bells are ringing, an urgent appeal;
The engines go dashing by the door,
All safe here, children, no fear need we feel;
But God help in District Thirty-four,
What's that?
Look there! look there!
A lurid glare
Lights up the sky--aye, aye!
and columns of red, devouring flame appear.
And see! for departure our neighbors prepare;
Perchance there is danger even here.

One, two, three--hark, hark, boys!
One, two, three, four!
The fire-bells are ringing, a last grand alarm;
How vast must the conflagration be!
Our own roof is blazing! yet where, free from harm,
Oh! where shall we our treasures flee?
Let's haste!
'Twill fall! 'Twill fall--
That granite wall;
I see it crumbling, tumbling!
Fly for your lives, from out this fiery grave!
Laid low, crush'd, buried are some beyond recall;
But thank God! my little flock I save.

Feel Alright Yall

Verse 1: [fresh kid ice]
Feelin all right on a party night
Good times are in store, everybody get hype
Motivation of your body is what we do best
With lyrics so def its above the rest
New jacks tryin to change, but youre lame to the game
Frontin like yourre hard, with a fake gold chain
Tryin to rock the mike, but were on the ball
We make the people say ...
Chorus (2x): [luke]
Feel all right yall!!
Feel like dynamite!!
Verse 2: [brother marquis]
Theyre doggin my mood, but thats all right
Let me discuss and make a fuss with the use of the mike
So as I step to the podium and cause pandemonium
With crowds of people, rockin auditoriums
Screamin, yellin, swayin while Im sayin
My verbal expression while the music is playin
This is for all of yall, I hope you like
This is designed to make you feel all right!
Chorus
Verse 3: [brother marquis]
You try to out-recite me, but thats not likely
I can tell whether or not if you hate or if you like me
cause above all I arise, so dont you be surprised
When I get recognition from the public eye
[fresh kid ice]
And Ill do all the things that the people like
Kid ice will excite you when hes on the mike
Its time to act ill and get on the ball
Everybody in the place scream out and say ...
Chorus

Thriller - Michael Jackson

It's close to midnight and something evil's lurking in the dark
Under the moonlight, you see a sight that almost stops your heart
You try to scream but terror takes the sound before you make it
You start to freeze as horror looks you right between the eyes
You're paralyzed

'Cause this is thriller, thriller night
And no one's gonna save you from the beast about strike
You know it's thriller, thriller night
You're fighting for your life inside a killer, thriller tonight

You hear the door slam and realize there's nowhere left to run
You feel the cold hand and wonder if you'll ever see the sun
You close your eyes and hope that this is just imagination, girl!
But all the while you hear the creature creeping up behind
You're out of time

'Cause this is thriller, thriller night
There ain't no second chance against the thing with forty eyes, girl
Thriller, thriller night
You're fighting for your life inside a killer, thriller tonight

Night creatures calling, the dead start to walk in their masquerade
There's no escaping the jaws of the alien this time
(They're open wide)
This is the end of your life

They're out to get you, there's demons closing in on every side
They will possess you unless you change that number on your dial
Now is the time for you and I to cuddle close together, yeah
All through the night I'll save you from the terror on the screen
I'll make you see

That this is thriller, thriller night
'Cause I can thrill you more than any ghost would ever dare try
Thriller, thriller night
So let me hold you tight and share a
Killer, diller, chiller, thriller here tonight

'Cause this is thriller, thriller night
Girl, I can thrill you more than any ghost would ever dare try
Thriller, thriller night
So let me hold you tight and share a killer, thriller, ow!

(I'm gonna thrill ya tonight)
Darkness falls across the land
The midnight hour is close at hand
Creatures crawl in search of blood
To terrorize y'alls neighborhood

I'm gonna thrill ya tonight, ooh baby
I'm gonna thrill ya tonight, oh darlin'
Thriller night, baby, ooh!

The foulest stench is in the air
The funk of forty thousand years
And grizzly ghouls from every tomb
Are closing in to seal your doom

And though you fight to stay alive
Your body starts to shiver
For no mere mortal can resist
The evil of the thriller

Miracle Of Life

Sometimes our lives are filled
with great moments
that will always remain in our mind.
Some are more significant than others,
always trapped in time
for you to always remember.
One of the greatest moments
in anyone’s life
is witnessing the miracle of life.
I remember not wanting
to see my son born,
I had heard so many gory stories
I did not want to be there.
Then at the last moment
I changed my mind,
I stood there holding my wife’s hand
as the miracle of life
happened right before my eyes.
After it was over I yawned,
suddenly the delivery room broke into pandemonium
when someone shouted, “The fathers fainting, get him out! ”
All I did was yawn under the mask I wore.
With that, they hustled me out for some fresh air.
However, I smile at that now.
However, my advice to any father
who gets the chance to see his child born -
take it and relish it for the rest of your life.

I Think You Know What I Mean

a young man sits inside his orange car
puts his legs above board
wipes his face, sweaty, cleans his nose
idly, looks around
in silence

he gazes upon a vacant road
there is no car
no people,

from where i am seated
i observe him
he is contented upon his idleness
i can't read his mind of course
whether there is sorrow
or bliss

beside his car is a wall
enclosing a garden of cassava and papaya trees
there is a guava tree
laden with its fruits

beyond us is the calm sea
plain blue as coconut trees tower
like guards

or lighthouses on an early morning
contemplation perhaps
about what to do next after this gentleness
this calm

will it be chaos? will it be too much noise?
can pandemonium be not far behind

the white chickens arrive and pecks upon some grains of rice
upon a bowl of clay lies the water that can satisfy thirst

you know what i mean
life is a variation of everything
full of color, wanting sound, longing for scents
expecting some happenings.

What I Love Most Before The Rain

it is that point
where the rain is about to fall
like a woman
blushing
when the clouds turn gray
and heavy
when it is about to burst
and yet it still
waits for the first
dropp to fall
it is that point when people
are not running yet
for shelter
at that point i am at ease
sitting on a bench
waiting for the
pandemonium of steps
and hands covering heads
and women losing
their grace and men showing
their rage
and people scattering
like ants
that you spray with
insecticide
it is that point when people
begin to
protect themselves

A Doctor’s Waiting Room (Fun Poem 40)

Sitting in a Doctor’s waiting room,
is enough to make you feel more ill than what you are.
As I sat patiently waiting for my number to be called,
when Mrs Johnson came in.
She went on to explain,
the threshold of her pain,
and all the times for this and that
she had been under the surgeon’s knife.

Mrs Peabody was the next to sit.
She told everyone she had a dose of chills,
and that she came by to see the Doctor
for a top up on the magic pills.
Next, to arrive was old Jimmy Farnham
with a sauce-bin stuck on his head.
He had been demonstrating to his grandchildren
how he fought off a brigade of Japanese soldiers single-handed.
However, the truth is he was only a cook in the Army catering corps.

Then in came Mrs Hallam a little slimmer than she was before.
She explained that she had had
a tummy tuck and liposuction to make her look thin.
She then proceeded to lift her top
so everyone could see the scar.
Just to make matters worse
Mrs Shrewsbury rushed in,
to declare to one and all
that her water had just broke.
With all the pandemonium going on,
I handed back my ticket
and went straight home.
I’d rather suffer in silence
that in the Doctor’s waiting room.
