Overheard At the OK Corral
Bearer of bad news?
No!
I think...
'Couldn't Remove Rose Colored Glasses
From Those Who Still Had All Season Passes
To Disneyland'...
Is a more appropriate title for those awaiting
The sounds of the bugle boy to announce,
The arrival of the calvary coming...
To defeat 'threats' overheard at the OK Corral,
By approaching terrorists!
AFTER they have finished shopping on Rodeo Drive...
And Fifth Avenue!

Pocketing a Dollar
It's the season of terrorists threats.
When the government wont let...
Spirits of happiness flow,
Without fear to inflict.
And bestow.
And when the New Year comes around,
Just like the Fourth of July...
When the biggest crowds gather to celebrate.
With fireworks and other loud bursting sounds...
Not a word of terrorists,
Or their threats...
Are heard or shared!
Those are not the times for them to be declared,
There or anywhere.
And when those who filled the air,
With these fears and threats to scare...
Are gone.
So will the massive corruption,
And the sadness of their destruction...
Leave.
To remind those grieving.
And those of a clearing consciousness,
Will come to their senses and see...
How those of criminal minds,
Have found much wasteful time...
To plot, plunder and pillage.
Being as they are...
Treacherous, evil, deceitful demons and mean.
Traitors of a democracy depleting it with their greed.
When it comes to pocketing a dollar to loot...
And delute a quality of life of those still holding on.

Each One Needs a Title
Each one needs a title.
It's not enough to call them by their first names.
Or not be introduced,
Without hearing one's résumé.
And they are serious too.
They want people to know they've earned degrees.
They quickly reveal where they live, what they drive.
And where they eat to be fed the best cruisine.
Each one needs a title.
Something that widens eyes a lot.
Some are overheard saying,
Where they vacation and shop.
Who has a nanny!
And which ones do not.
Who employs a housekeeper.
And which services some had to stop.
Each one needs a title.
At least one impressive enough...
For tongues to wag,
And jaws to drop!

Down At The Old Corral
It seems no matter how far I may roam
Like some ol' tumbleweed my thoughts go tumblin' back home
In memory I recall those simpler times
And a way of life I never left behind.
Down at the old corral
Just sittin'
Watchin' the sun go down
Oh, How I'm wishin' that I
Could be there now
Down at the old corral.
I remember everything I ever heard
Like how to judge a man's true worth by how he keep's his word
That saddle wisdom never seemed to end
Everything I need to know I learned back then.
Down at the old corral
Just sittin'
Watchin' the sun go down
Oh, How I'm wishin' that
I could be there now
Down at the old corral.
--- Instrumental ---
Down at the old corral
Just sittin'
Watchin' the sun go down
Oh, How I'm wishin' that
I could be there now
Down at the old corral.
Down at the old corral.
Down at the old corral...

Mister DreamWeaver
'Oh Mister DreamWeaver...
I thought you said,
We'd soon be coming out of the woods?
But why is it getting darker.
The Sun seems to be retreating.'
You are most observant.
And correct with your assessment.
Now...
Pass along the flashlights,
And rose colored glasses.
I have another fable to tell!
I'm going to call this one,
Myths and Avoidance!
It details...
How to interpret screams,
As sounds of joy and laughter.
It promises to be thrilling.
So keep your vomit bags prepared.
You are going to find this one,
Most delightful!

Surprise, surprise, Im comin at ya live;

Survival
Ill survive you, I will survive you
Well, its too late, I know, to change the way we go
From this day on I want to stay on
Now that Ive started learning
And the tides started turning
Well, its here I want to stay
Ill let the moon announce my arrival
To every eye that cares to see
Just working on the art of survival
Where do we go from here, where do we go from here
Im alive here, I can survive dear
Though the weather might change
From the wind to the rain
Well, my heart remains the same
Ill let the moon announce my arrival
To every eye that cares to see
Just working on the art of survival
Where do we go from here, where do we go from here
Looked out on a sea of trouble
And I tried to stall for awhile
Its so hard to answer every question
And its hard to protect your heart anymore
Ill let the moon announce my arrival (I am alive)
To every eye that cares to see
Just working on the art of survival (but I wonder)
Where do we go from here
Ill let the moon announce my arrival (I am alive)
To every eye that cares to see
Just working on the art of survival (but I wonder)
Where do we go from here
Ill let the moon announce my arrival (I am alive)
To every eye that cares to see
Just working on the art of survival (but I wonder)
Where do we go from here ...

Rodeo
Laughin like gypsies show to show
Living my life like a rolling stone
This is how my story unfolds
Traveling man, never at home
Cant find love so I sleep alone
This whisky river has a long way to flow
All that I know is life on this road
Long way from home
In this rodeo
Rodeo, rodeo, rodeo, rodeo
Not my home
Another day, another night on stage
Lights go down, time to turn the page
Was this all I ever wanted to be
Six hundred miles the highway calls
Another long day now the hours get small
Riding out this rock and roll rodeo
All that I know is life on this road
Long way from home
In this rodeo
Rodeo, rodeo, rodeo, rodeo
Not my home
All that I know
Is life on this road
Long way from home
In this rodeo
Rodeo, rodeo, rodeo, rodeo
Not my home

My Glasses That See Love
I go thru life with my eyes wide open
searching for that true love I'm craving to find,
only to see these rose-tinted glasses are
making my vision partiality blind.
Yet I do know what would be
in store,
I'd take the glasses off and no longer get the
chance to see
the beauty of romance that I've been waiting for,
the intensifying rose color,
as in a precious rose will always remains the core,
for it is the
lasting rose colored hue,
that by which makes all true love true.

Hampered
When changes occur...
And today many are occurring simultaneously.
Those refusing to remove their rose colored glasses,
And stirring up commotion with their blurred visions...
Need ushering through the reconditioned process.
Since the blurring of those using the naturalness,
Of their own eyesight...
Is being hampered by the ones stumbling around,
Pretending their solid ground...
Is not shaking!

Does This Bus Stop At 82nd Street?
Hey bus driver keep the change,
Bless your children, give them names,
Dont trust men who walk with canes,
Drink this and youll grow wings on your feet
Broadway mary, joan fontaine, advertiser on a downtown train
Christmas crier bustin cane, hes in love again.
Where dock workers dreams mix with panthers schemes to someday own the rodeo
Tainted women in vistavision perform for out-of-state kids at the late show.
Wizard imps and sweat sock pimps, interstellar mongrel nymphs
Rex said that lady left him limp. loves like that (sure it is).
Queen of diamonds, ace of spades newly discovered lovers of the everglades
They take out a full page ad in the trades to announce their arrival
And mary lou she found out how to cope, she rides to heaven on a gyroscope
The daily news asks her for the dope
She says man, the dopes that theres still hope
Senorita, spanish rose, wipes her eyes and blows her nose
Uptown in harlem she throw a rose to some lucky, young matador.

Slumming On Park Avenue
Put on your slumming clothes and get your car
Lets go sightseeing where the high-toned people are
Come on, theres lots of fun in store for you
See how the other half lives on park avenue
Lets go slumming, take me slumming
Lets go slumming on park avenue
Let us hide behind a pair of fancy glasses
And make faces when a member of the classes passes
Lets go smelling where theyre dwelling
Sniffing evrything the way they do
Let us go to it, they do it
Why cant we do it too?
Lets go slumming, nose thumbing, on park avenue
[2nd chorus:]
Lets go slumming, take me slumming
Lets go slumming on park avenue
Where the social hearts for broadway lights are throbbing
And they spend their nights in smart cafes hobknobbing, snobbing
Come lets eye them, pass right by them
Looking down our noses as they do
Let us go to it, they do it
Why cant we do it too?
Lets go slumming, crumb bumming, on park avenue

I Was Out Shopping With A Friend
People into basking away from adulation,
And solicited flattery...
Can also be overheard comparing themselves to others,
With an accuracy unbelieved...
But entertaining in the telling of their versions,
Which sounds awfully familiar to those listening...
Until that familiarity overheard begins to become identical,
To what they had expressed to the one basking away.
'I know this is not going to be believed,
But this happened to me last week...
I was out shopping with a friend,
And we got so caught up in our conversation...
I rolled a cart full of groceries right out of the store.
AND begun to unload them in my car when the manager 'suggested'...
I MIGHT want to pay for them first.
And I wondered why all the police cars were filling up the parking lot.'

One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going to take my little nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse. 'Oh, no,' I said, 'Disneyland burned down.' He cried and cried, but I think that deep down, he thought it was a pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but it was getting pretty late.

Disneyland
I Woke up got my lazy ass out of bed
I Watered all the rocks growing in my head
I Had a thoughtand fell asleep on you
There I was somewhere West of Tomorrow Land
Flying through the stars just like Peter Pan
I saidDamn this looks too good to be true
There she goes my heart again (would you mind rolling over)
I can feel it in the air (something's coming down)
I don't know and I don't care that it's a small world
It's a nice day if you wake up in Disneyland
It's a nice day when you wake up in Disneyland
In my dream everybody's got a little house
A dog, a bank account managed by Mickey Mouse
And the only thing we fight about is the Lakers
In my dream all the pirates down in Neverland
Never get the Hook they just get a hand
While the crocs sing Superman till we just can't take it
There she goes my heart again (do you mind rolling over)
I can feel it in the air (something's coming down)
I don't know and I don't care if it's a small world
It's a nice day when you wake up in Disneyland
It's a nice day if you wake up in Disneyland
We can fly away:
I Woke up got my lazy ass out of bed
I Watered all the rocks growing in my head
I Had a thought and I looked up to see
The sign read the park she's closed today
E-tickets don't work here no more anyway
Where every day's a magic day to be free You see
It's a nice day when you wake up in Disneyland
It's a nice day should you wake up in Disneyland
It's your L.U.C.K.Y. day should you wake up in Disneyland
It's a nice day should you wake up in Disneyland

There Are Those Exceptions
Many have spent lifetimes,
Doing their best...
To manipulate the presence of truth.
And yet there is not one shred of proof,
That a doing of this has led them to success.
However...
There are those exceptions!
Millions of dollars are spent,
In the celebrating of holidays created...
To allow the threats of terrorists,
Opportunities to rest...
As everyone is welcomed to join the festivities.
'But...
Where are the terrorists? '
~Ssshhh.
They are no threat to us on holidays.
Or on weekends.
Just Monday through Friday.
See them checking their watches?
It is almost that time,
For them to begin their threats.~

Let It Snow
There's an approaching storm a-brewin'
and the winds will drive it here.
I feel it in my chilled-out bones.
I sense it in the atmosphere.
There's nothing to do but await its arrival
and tend to inside things.
I pass the window every hour or so
and I look for openings
in the clouds so ominous and drear.
And I wish that I could steer
the direction of the storm that's brewin'
but I know it's my home it is pursuin'.
Well, what can I say except
'this should not be.'
for I came down south to keep myself warm.
But Mother Nature knows not what I seek
so with me she does not conform.
So here I am in the heart of Dixie
awaiting a cold snowstorm.
Pretty soon now the winds will blow.
Let it snow already, let it snow.
