On the Verge
There is a buffet to taste!
A banquet of assorted nibbles to consume...
And they claim their ways are 'down-to-Earth',
With back home thoughts and yesterdays,
To make room for a tomorrow...
Traced with grandma's remedies,
And the use-to-be's of eras past!
These days today?
Are not for backyard reviews...
Shared by neighbors borrowing cups of sugar!
Little Johnny may be in prison.
Flipping through scriptures!
Humming hymns to his cellmate.
As they bond as males can only bond in captivity!
And Susie may be bragging about baby daddy drama.
Between painted nails and club hopping dates.
Only to complain she's not a superwoman...
Who can't raise children by herself,
AND microwave TV dinners at the same time!
As if she was hypnotized to spread her legs...
To pop out dolls to play with at playtime!
Delusional are these high tech creatures,
Wanting leisures at someone else's expense!
Someone to dump the blame game on!
And yet like sheep...
People have corralled themselves within stifleness,
For purposes to bring attention to a legacy of ignorance!
Even though they are surrounded by activities to feast...
They choose to dine on familiarity that keeps them tied,
To traditions that make little sense!
But then...
Who is to question what IS making sense at all?
Aren't we living in a society that's being craved,
By those depraved and tribal?
Aren't values we all adhere to becoming the model...
Of ALL humanity to copy with microscopic accuracy?
Especially in these times we live,
When 'correctness' is on the verge of becoming passé,
And forgotten quicker than anyone's texted message!
But then...
Who is to question what IS making sense at all?
And if it is necessary!

Make Tomorrow
Put on the dress in which you were married
Pull down the veil til your eyes are hid
Can you remember where we both came from
Let us do as we did
Look at tomorrow today
Making tomorrow today
Making tomorrow today
Making tomorrow today
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow today
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow today
Put back the photo under your window
Put down the phone that you hold in your hand
Put away these things that stand in between us
Let us be what we can
When it seems
Hopeless
When it seems
Hopeless
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow today
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow today
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow today
What better measure of what you were doing here
Then what you can leave behind
All the children of your children's children
Do you ever think what they're going to find
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow
Where the sacred meet the scared
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow
Where the dreamer's dream is dared
In each of us
A dream can burn like the sun
Let's try it all one more time
To get this lesson learned
Sitting up in a spaceship
Looking down at the earth
You wonder what they all stuggling for
What's it all really worth
Making tomorrow today
Making tomorrow today
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow

These Kids Are Something Else Today
Why are you rambling?
'Why is that your concern? '
It isn't.
Although I am aware you make no sense.
'That's why it is called rambling.
I'm not trying to make any sense.'
You should.
Do you know how many people today,
Make no sense at all?
'No.
But I'm sure you do?
Come to think of it,
There is one fool...
Who begs to be cussed out.
Right now! '
I'm sorry.
I didn't mean to offend.
I'm just curious that's all.
'Oh...
I aint talking about you.
I'm talking about that kid over there,
Trying to break into my car.'
I don't believe it!
That's my son.
We're shopping for new videos.
He's good with his hands.
He wants to be a mechanic.
These kids are something else today,
Aren't they?
'What are you going to say to him? '
What do you want me to say?
He never pays me any attention.

Now...This Is 'My' Question?
Accomplishments done are just what they are.
A means to reveal who is supportive of those who succeed.
And,
Exposes those who choose to believe...
The ones who are motivated,
Think they are better than those who are lazy...
And have no ambition!
'What? '
Listen!
Now...
This is 'my' question?
Why would anyone who is focused to accomplish,
Spend their time wondering 'why' others are wasting theirs?
'It depends on who you are asking! '
However...
I am sure this makes 'some' sense,
To those with little of that left!
And leaving many influenced to be impressed by it!
'Why would anyone focused on doing 'something'...
Stop that to become attracted by those doing nothing at all? '
That's the point 'they' are trying to make!
Why aren't they given more attention?
'For what? '
Doing nothing!
And wanting to be honored for it.
'Oh!
That's called entitlement.
You know...
I 'see' therefore it's 'mine' to claim.
Mine to defame and shame who I please.
To get others to believe in me.
As I teach them the benefits of deceit.'

Not Into Game Play
Not into game play.
Not even 'if' I sense it with,
A new arrival.
Someone who elects to question,
From hidden places.
To play hide and seek.
Not me.
I am not into game play.
Not today when times are the way they are.
Not with adults who like to keep their lives,
Disguised while they decide to moralize and criticize.
Not when my peace of mind is at stake.
Not into game play.
Not at all.
Even 'if' I should sense it beginning.
With someone fresh.
But choosing to have me jump through hoops.
To see how far they can get.
Before they notice it...
I have left!
I am not into game play.
Not me.
Not today!
Not that way.
Not for me anyway.
At least not like that.
Not to sit and listen to tit for tat tales.

The Increase Of Its Popularity
The one thing about ignorance,
That is beginning to make sense...
To those advocating their prinicples,
And beliefs with enforced implementation...
Is the acceptance of ignorance everywhere.
Spreading to eliminate the thought of its existence.
Leaving the many who had perceived ignorance to be,
As appalling and offensive to become today outnumbered.
Making the appearance of ignorance the choice preferred.
That satisfies both purpose and taste,
Without need for debate to question.
With few left to argue the increase of its popularity.

Process 1
History can not be rewritten nor is absolution an absolute cure
Man's reason and purpose is to protect the innocent and the pure
The raising of children belong in the family not to an amateur.
Life is much more than just the passing of earthly or spatial time
It is the legacy we leave our children who are the fruit of our vine
Go give and leave them images of value and virtue for their minds.
Children are invited to come and contribute whenever they can
To know life's purpose and reason is the union of woman and man
The mind of a child needs to be challenged so they can understand.
The children are no longer our children when they leave the home
To carry forward and give to their children who are really a loan
The capacity to ask questions; for all answers come from their dome.
Sense's, intellect and questions, the basis for most human thought
The family home is where answers are given before they are sought
A child needs a safe, protected environment, in which to be taught.
The continuity, salvation and redemption of those here and to come
In the hands of all God's children for through them their will be done
Humanity is singular and exclusive and their gender is two not one.
All children filled with the energy of life and an unfettered mind
To have their time of peace to play, question and eventually find
To participate in life with good purpose and reason and never resign.
The children can move our world forward and even far beyond
Always to be; think; and acknowledge; mankind's most common bond
We on earth to to come together and teach our children to get along.
From the beginning to the end all on earth can be for naught
If the children refuse to participate and grow, all will be lost
A shared responsibility to question, listen and all signs to watch.

When you're writing these things, you're in a room making each other laugh, you really have very little sense of political correctness or incorrectness. This is a question that Europe tends to ask and America doesn't.

Inactivity Created
Lazy.
A feast of ignorance,
Has fed them well.
Lazy.
Delusionists speak of their triumphs.
Glorify in imaginations.
Party in their sweat.
Yet few work...
To where they need to get!
Lazy.
Creatures seeking credentials.
But absent of common sense.
Lazy.
Exhausted from thoughts!
With no intent meant.
Lazy.
Approached to verify all they claim.
And when there is nothing there...
They play the blame game.
Accusing some of being 'lucky' in life...
And every excuse they use is lame.
Lazy.
They watch a way of life diminish.
Lazy.
They wish their fantasies replenished.
Lazy.
But when a working ethic isn't there to be done,
They point a finger at everyone.
And more like them are relieved...
So many like them believe,
If it had not been for someone else...
Success they too could achieve.
But those who bust their butts can see...
These folks appreciate,
Only another pretention they can make!
And taking time to waste.
But don't call them...
Lazy.
That's a word they hate!
But keep dates with it to salivate...
An inactivity created!
There is no debate,
To contemplate this observation.
They are without hesitation of doubt...
Lazy!

Aren't You All Neighbors?
If I consume more than my neighbor,
And squander my feeding at their expense...
To then expect for them to remain silent,
As they pay more for the construction of my fence.
Or the fixing of cracks on pavements I travel,
Without my offering a single cent.
Why should I be disturbed by their nonsense?
Yet I am the first to advocate the raising of rents,
To keep certain 'elements' away from me and distanced.
Should I get upset the request I pay higher taxes,
On my property that has been re-assessed?
Since I am more accustomed to live high on the hog,
While others around me find it difficult to live on less?
'But...
Aren't you all neighbors?
And aren't you all sharing the same amenities offered? '
I am a conservative.
I am not one of those 'liberals' seeking a hand-out.
I am entitled to be served.
'But...
Aren't you all neighbors?
And aren't you all sharing the same amenities offered? '
I am a conservative.
I am not one of those 'liberals' seeking a hand-out.
I am entitled to be served.
If I consume more than my neighbor,
And squander my feeding at their expense...

As they pay more for the construction of my fence.

Yesterdays
Aren't we sick of yesterdays
that got us where we are?
All the yesterdays that got us here
and still we've not gotten far.
Aren't we tired of the yesterdays
that seem to haunt our dreams?
All the yesterdays have become todays
and nothing changes it seems.
Aren't we afraid of the yesterdays
that have never gone away?
All the yesterdays have come again
and now we have to pay.
The price we pay for yesterdays
is the sorrow we see today.
For the masses have become so used to them
that their feet are stuck in clay.

One Step Closer
I cannot take this anymore
I'm saying everything I've said before
All these words they make no sense
I find bliss in ignorance
Less I hear the less you'll say
But you'll find that out anyway
Just like before...
Everything you say to me
Takes me one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break
I need a little room to breathe
Cause I'm one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break
I find the answers aren't so clear
Wish I could find a way to disappear
All these thoughts they make no sense
I find bliss in ignorance
Nothing seems to go away
Over and over again
shut up when I'm talking to you

Poppycock
Because he is black,
He believes he is held back.
He is!
And so are they!
Because she is black...
And attractive.
She believes she was hired for that!
She was!
For display.
Because I am black,
And proud of that fact!
I can not understand...
Why many blacks can not accept,
Who and what they are...
Will always be attacked!
There is a sickness attached,
With insecurities no one can match.
People are conditioned,
To believe in superstitions...
With inflicted intuitions to expose an ignorance.
And yet superiority can not be proven,
By the advent of incompetence.
Anyone can look around,
And observe standards and moral attitudes placed...
Crumbling to the ground!
Live and in living color.
Very few of these images,
Are broadcasted in black and white!
And what is done undercover?
Produces all shades of everything.
Making what one's values...
With traditions they uphold,
Little sense left to fathom to maintain, grasp or follow!
It's all poppycock!
'There you go!
Bragging about your sexual prowess,
Again! '

Before The Making of a Dollar
Standards valued today,
And what they 'should' be...
Have definitely changed,
From what those same values...
Applied yesterday.
Had been and use to be.
And in 'those' days...
A having of dignity and pride,
Was shown and not denied.
And depending on who you are...
A pride taken in oneself,
Will be labelled conceit and arrogance.
Again...
This depends one how one is depicted.
And 'what' one represents.
To emphasis those values...
Only when they seem to be demeaned,
By a targeted class of people hip hopping on the scene...
Society chooses to belittle and disrespect.
With a media microscoping to defame and diminish.
However...
Those same values are not kept,
When addressing those who believe they are above others...
When marketing their disgrace,
To advertise high on billboards, movies...
And other 'money grabbing' ways up in everyone's face.
Standards valued today,
And what they 'should' be...
Have definitely changed,
From what those same values...
Applied yesterday.
Had been and use to be.
Before the making of a dollar,
Replaced the making of quality human beings.

Come Home With Me
Johnny:
I'm standing here
all alone
this nights about to end
(I'm looking for somebody)
to wil' out with me
sexually
come with me, baby
Girl its been long
Close the door
Shed your clothes for me nice and slow
Will you dance for me(dance for me)
Freak for me (freak for me)
Give it to me
All I wanna know ....
Chorus:
Who's gonna come home with me tonight (will you come home with me tonight)
Who's gonna lay her body next to mine (lay your body down next to mine)
Who's gonna come home with me tonight (aww baby)
Tell me who baby (tell me baby yeah yeah)
I just wanna know who
Johnny:
Here's the part where I can make your body start to tremble (no no no no no)
Girl your body's tight
That's why I decide
to choose you tonight (mmm)
Jump in my bed so I can take you undercover
Making love room to room until the sun's up
Then I'll let you fall asleep naked on me (naked on me)
This is our bedroom scene (baby baby baby baby baby baby baby)
Chorus:
Who's gonna come home with me tonight (it's alright)(will you come home come home)
Who's gonna lay her body next to mine (who's gonna give all the love that I need)
Who's gonna come home with me tonight (one little question)
Tell me who baby (who...is it you baby....is it you baby)
I just wanna know who
(Get ready to take my love tonight) (alright)
see cause i'm gonna take you all the way down tonight
(Get ready for what's in me through love)
see I want to wrap my arms around you tonight
and I want you to feel my love (Get ready to taste my love every drop)
cause i run deep so deep so deep
inside your love cause I got one question baby (ahhhhhhhhh)
if you're ready to feel it and taste it
Come on and take it
Chorus:
Who's gonna come home with me tonight (come on come on come on baby)
Who's gonna lay her body next to mine (i sware the things i'll do to you)
Who's gonna come home with me tonight (nobody else will do to you tonight)
Tell me who baby (come on come on come on)
I just wanna know who

Part Of The Club
A visit to the park.
Lets go play, yeah.
Your taking my home, job and lively hood but that's okay because I'm part of the club.
An anecdotal pun what fun.
We will be okay now hun.
Their here to save us from themselves.
That's the blind man kind of sense.
Your hands are not clean please rerinse.
For some reason it just so hard to believe the ones who deceive are here to help me.
I think more like their here to frisk me.
Make sure their is nothing left hidden.
With every cent, every dime I make with a smile they say oh hey that's mine and take
Now lets just dine on your food stamps.
Just stick your finger in this clamp after you already done it once and know of the pain.
Let me ask you a question, are you insane?
Better yet am I?
Am I so far gone that I can't see past the coming of a new dawn.
I think not.
I will not.
To join in your make believe reindeer games.
I'm just so sorry but the times have changed.
No matter how pretty the picture put upon this canvas is it is still the same.
So with you hands held out saying give give give watch as I spit in them.

Have We Forgotten God?
Have we forgotten God today, regardless of what polls do say?
God is acknowledged by most, across this land, coast to coast,
But, is His Truth truly believed, or are many souls just deceived?
If God, by the country is lifted up, why are our ways so corrupt?
Yes, “Oh my God” we often hear, but, do you sense a holy fear?
In their voice as they proclaim, our Sovereign God’s Holy Name?
And what yet, is even worse, His Name is used more, as a curse,
As many say they believe in Him, while being led by cords of sin.
Truly the question one must raise, while living in these later days,
Regarding God, just if or when, He’s even in the thoughts of men,
And friend that is only just a start, for is He moving in their heart?
Is He accepted with a devout nod, or do they even think of God?
If no place for God is found, these men will be on shaky ground,
Only girded by the shifting sand, in hard trials they will not stand;
Such is the same for any nation, that falls from God’s Revelation,
Ignoring The Word, many cherish, many within our land will perish.
Saying they believe in The Lord, but God’s Holy Laws go ignored,
While we live in these darker days, with many seeking other ways,
If you’re concerned at all my friend, let us not continue to pretend,
Again, all across this land we trod, have men truly forgotten God?

Once Enjoyed and Invited
We are not in those times anymore.
When people would choose others,
For their own ignorance...
Unstopped and revolving,
Through the same turnstiles...
To explore and bore.
More people are awakening,
To what time 'today' is.
With less of them wasting it,
To let go and live.
The ones who found gossip,
Whispered from ear to ear.
Find it almost impossible...
To ignite any intrerest,
With someone equally inquisitive.
We are not in those times,
Anymore.
When people would choose others,
For their own ignorance...
To Explore increasing boredom.
And more and more,
People are re-evaluating values.
Finding it difficult,
To do as they choose...
And have others listen too!
Once enjoyed and invited,
People seem today quicker to admit...
A deeper meaning sought,
Than the routine of nonsense...
That finds them sick of it!

Who Else Is There More Qualified
I am not understanding any of this.
Why are the people so upset?
We've attempted to meet all of their requests.
What is the problem?
Why aren't they happy?
We are doing the best we can.
Oh...
About the jacuzzi.
You are using too much eucalyptus.
And we've had this discussion before.
'Maybe it has 'something' to do,
With you deciding how their resources...
Should be rationed.'
And...
Your point is what?
Rationed?
Huh?
Oh...
I had forgotten what we were discussing.
What resources?
'I'm not sure,
If my comments will make to you...
Any sense at all.
But...
You are making the decision,
As to how 'their' resources...
Should be rationed,
To 'them'.'
I'm still not understanding.
You are making this too complicated.
More complicated than it needs to be!
Who else is there...
More qualified to do it?
