Non-Fictioned

Me?
Oh...
I was born with lots to say!
Poetically.
And any other way.

Sitting back in acceptance...
Has never been my forté.
Living in self deception,
Has not for me been okay!

Questions I ask,
I expect to have answered.
And if what I hear,
Does not please...
I do not rely on rumors,
Or gossip to appease me.

I've been ignored on many occasions.
Only to accept these actions,
As a kind of invitation!
And I become extremely impatient,
With those who hesitate...
In a hushed anticipation!
Awaiting to be spoon fed,
Some resemblance of truth.
To represent a hint of superficial ideals...
They choose to keep pursued.

Me?
Oh...
I was born with lots to say!
Poetically.
And any other way.

And those who feel betrayed,
By the events occurring in their lives today...
From them I have a need to walk away!
Knowing they wish to keep their pretensions intact.
Whether or not they live lives fictionalized,
Or based on fact.
I rather keep my own life lived non-fictioned.
With a reality welcomed I find attractive.
And my mind and heart authorizes...
The motivating information I then enact.

What Has Been Denied

One of the main reasons,
People don't know who they are...
Or can respect others to accept,
Is their approach to life.
And a valued place on false pretensions.

People have been made to believe,
And are convinced...
That reality is to be pretended,
And the more pretentious they are...
The more they reflect a 'version' of reality.
Blindly accepted.

And...
Those who are themselves,
And have lived reality...
From an experiencing of it,
Are perceived as being phony.
Although everything they have done...
Is based upon truth as it is,
And have attempted to deliver it.
But are criticized for being nonconformists.

One of the main reasons,
People don't know who they are...
Or can respect others to accept,
Is their approach to life.

One is taught how to live,
And how to act.
What beliefs to accept,
From those created...
And followed 'faithfully'.

And those who live not accepting,
Those beliefs to follow 'faithfully'...
Seem to live freer lives,
Without having lies to follow.

'Why is there so much conflict in the world.
Why are so many people unhappy? '

That's a good question.
And they are the ones who follow,
Taught beliefs.
Without seeking to live life,
To discover it on their own.
They follow and protest yet accept.

'But,
How can you say that? '

I've learned to stand back,
And observe that which has been denied.
My eyes have been open most of my life,
To see things as they are.
Not what I wish them to be.
With eyes open wide.

And apparently my 'version' has offered me,
A more peaceful co-existence.
And that for me is not phony at all.
I only have one face that I've shown.
Have you ever seen me wearing a mask?
To appease others doing it?

'No.'

You should take yours off.
You'll see exactly what I mean.
When you begin to experience life,
So many become offended.

Redemption’s Testimony

Does my life bring evident reality, to the souls that need to see,
The redemptive work of Jesus Christ, active in my present life?
Do they see a change within, my life, knowing who I had been?
Knowing how I lived before, I entered through Salvation’s Door.

Am I truly willing to pay the price, to be for my Lord a sacrifice?
Putting all my wants aside, to serve The One, who for me died?
Willing today, to deny myself, to point others to Eternal Wealth,
A wealth they’ll not see on earth, until they experience New Birth.

Born through the Spirit of Christ, that day Jesus enters their life,
And they too, become sanctified, as The Spirit now lives inside,
Now, to dwell within their heart, while by God, they are set apart,
As His children, with me and you, to now, begin their lives anew.

A life we must let God display, within our lives from day to day,
Christ’s Love with His Grace, while He moves us place to place,
As we live life for God’s Glory, while living out salvation’s story,
As The Savior uses all of us, redeemed sinners, in Christ Jesus.

Redeemed from the market of sin, to live this life anew for Him,
To be redemption’s testimony, no longer just a religious phony,
No longer here to be conformed, to this world, but transformed,
As Christ’s Light to the world, with Redemption’s Truth to herald.

Are We Doing All God Needs?

Are you an influence for The Lord, as you live your daily life?
Or is your witness just ignored, caught up in your daily strife?
We’re to impact the lives men, which we bump into every day,
Now that we are Born Again, to show others God’s Only Way.

Do you live with Christ in mind, called to be for God His light?
When someone may be unkind, treating you in ways not right?
Jesus showed us how to live, and a love that we should show,
And Grace to us He would give, to help others come to know.

Do men see the Light of God, if you walk into a darker place?
In this darkened world you trod, led by the light of His Grace?
For God’s Light we are to be, lifted high by Christ, upon a hill,
Placed where all men can see, and done according to His will.

As you live life in this world, do you point men to God’s Truth?
Is your life for Him a Herald, with your own life as living proof?
It’s God’s Truth we’re to proclaim, to all people of every nation,
In the power of Christ’s name, pointing men to God’s Salvation.

Are we being, as Christ’s bride, the people whom God bought?
Living our lives truly crucified, to walk what we’ve been taught?
Are we doing all that God needs, willing today to pay the price?
Living this life sowing seeds, so others come to faith in Christ?

I Dared

All that is,
And welcomed to be remembered...
Lives here,
In my heart within me.
To be recaptured,
As fresh
Or as stale as I choose to recall.
So packed my life is with memories.
Sometimes I find myself laughing or smiling alone.
Knowing I've done some outrageous things.
And happy today...
I dared!
And was encouraged to live uninhabited.

The Fruit of Deception

In this short life looms a quicker deception leading to longer death,
This will be the outcome for many when they hear The Lord's breath.

They too will be like the Antichrist, who is doomed to Eternal Death,
The Lord Jesus will overcome this wicked one simply with His breath.

Through the cunning work of the god of this world many are deceived,
They may have close fellowship as Judas did but never truly believed.

Always learning, but they never are able to acknowledge God's truth,
They think God's grace is freedom to sin and they walk about aloof.

They even walk around intellectually espousing some of God's Truth,
However The Truth never reached their heart to produce lasting fruit.

The fruit my friend is your deeds in life and some lives are a mess,
The lasting fruit comes from Heaven and is fruit of Righteousness.

Even if your life's a mess, The Good Lord is very Gracious my friend,
If you truly believe He'll clean you up and your wickedness will end.

The choice is yours as you can repent today and in The Lord believe,
Or be like many that profess today but have hearts that are deceived.

They choose to live their lives doing what's right in their own eyes,
God's not fooled and they'll find out one day and truly be surprised.

Even though they walked through life with eyes they chose not to see,
But they will one day when He says, I never knew you, depart from Me.

Deploying Troops Of Truth

No matter what is said to them,
People will believe what they choose to believe.
And those creative with gossip skills,
Have networked their own reality system...
Into a comfortable safety zone!

There are generations of people,
Who have accepted their lives based on what they've heard.
Can you imagine not asking questions about your existence?
The moment I was told to be 'quiet' about something I had asked...
That was a signal to me!
Find out on my own.

To say I was a nosey little boy is an understatement.
I 'had' to satisfy my curiosity.
And If that curiosity of mine was not satisfied...
Somebody's nerves were guaranteed to be plucked.

There are generations of people,
Who have accepted their lives based on what they've heard.
Can you imagine not asking questions about your existence?
The moment I was told to be 'quiet' about something I had asked...
That was a signal to me!
Find out on my own.

And many people don't do that.
So many are programmed to believe what they are told.
And it is very easy to deceive someone like that.
It's a control factor that is enjoyed.
And that control factor has made attempts,
Deploying troops of truth into minds!
A success of this...
Does not appear to be victorious!

So Remotely Distanced

Discussing reality brings many to a sadness.
So remotely distanced from truth...
A life without delusion pursued,
Is not a life lived.
And many today refused to do it.

Fed on elitest ideals and dreams,
With luxurized lifestyles...
In condos with high walnut wooden beams,
Is how many see their purpose.
Surrounded by materialistic 'things'.

And things without enlightenment,
Is a life lived incomplete and empty.
With a seeking of sympathy...
When things are taken away from them and gone.
As complaints from them placing blame on others...
Goes on and on and on and on!

Discussing reality brings many to a sadness.
So remotely distanced from truth...
A life without delusion pursued,
Is not a life lived.
And many today refused to do it,
Too.
Choosing their own sanity to maim.

Fake Forgiveness

You dissappeared when we needed you the most, you vanished, were nowhere to be found, you were just like a ghost

For two years from you we almost never heard a sound, and I accepted the fact that you weren't ever fully going to come back around

Then your life slip through the cracks, now you're here at our front door on your hands and knees wanting to come back

I don't know what you expected from us maybe to be welcomed with open arms and kind deeds, all I know is that you're not getting that kind of treatment from me, mainly because the likes of you don't deserve it you see

While you got to keep living you care free little life some of us had to inheirt a life full of nothing but pain, misery, struggle, and stife.

While you got to keep doing what you pleased, some of us our free time had to sell so others we could appease

While we had to let responsibility weigh us down, you kept doing whatever you little heart desired and that I will never be able to forgive you for I'm sorry but my forgiveness card has finally expired

Back in the days where from you we didn't hear a sound all I ever hoped for was that maybe you'd change your mind and come back around, but now that your here in my plain eye sight, to be around you, to even look at you is a stuggle, is a fight

I've always thought of myself as a forgiving kind of person but apparently I was wrong, because I'm starting to realize at you I was mad, enraged, and disgusted all along

I realize sitting here now I forgave you for HER sake, but I can't pretend anymore I have to face the truth of the matter, and the truth is that, that forgiveness was fake

IF' Given The Opportunity

If one is in possession of anything,
One has earned and deserves...
Why would others expect,
That this person will beg from them...
To be welcomed with acceptance?
And just for kicks do a tap dance routine.
'IF' given the opportunity to entertain,
Those sitting on neighborhood stoops...
In discussion about what goes on across the street.
While standing on corners are others protecting their turf,
As if to supply security for vacant lots filled with trash.

If one is in possession of anything,
One has earned and deserves...
Why would others expect,
That this person will beg from them...
To be welcomed with acceptance?
And just for kicks do a tap dance routine.
'IF' given the opportunity to entertain them,
Until they give approval of one's ability...
To tap and smile at the same time.
Just to prove one's affiliation and representation.

A Preference For Distance

It is not that I am controlling.
I am self assured.
It is not that I 'think' I know everything.
I've been made aware of watching my own back.
And being accountable for my own actions.

I was extremely young,
When I was introduced to independence.
Even younger than that...
When I discovered I was emotionally alone.
You see...
I was raised not to be babied.
I don't recall being hugged or cuddled.
And the young women that I married...
Were younger still in their minds.

I guess during those days,
We all were trying hard to find roles to play.
Somewhere to feel comfortable enough to stay.

It is not that I am controlling.
I am self assured.
It is not that I 'think' I know everything.
I've been made aware of watching my own back.
And being accountable for my own actions.

My tolerance level sometimes is nonexistent.
And most times I realize I have a preference for distance.
I was not always this way.
It developed with a consciousness,
That became increasingly disgusted...
With the acceptance of deception.

Some may call this 'standoffish' behavior anti-social.
I call it surviving a dysfunctional past I care not to revisit.
And today...
That's all people want to do.
Discuss a past as if those times were the best times lived.
And I already know those are lies!
Why should I live to outdo those who choose to lie?

Now Here So Vivid

Here so vivid,
Is the experience of life given.
So vivid too are those disparities.
To allow others,
The giving of an invitation...
To come and do,
Then to go as they please.

How vivid are the actions,
On others performed.
To take what they thieve...
And upon themselves adorn.
Enriching with an enhancement,
From the day they were born.

Here so vivid,
Are atrocities.
So atrocious in implementation...
An acceptance of it,
To gather lives to ruin...
As if in a playing of monopoly.

And the game inflicted does not go away.
It stays and commands to become obeyed.
With restrictions that exist,
Using religious beliefs...
As a means to control,
In the spreading of a wickedness...
To maim and defeat,
Those depicted as enemies.

Here so vivid,
Is the experience of life given.
So vivid too are those disparities.
To allow others,
The giving of an invitation...
To come and do,
Then to go as they please.

Using deception to promote misdeeds.
To witness those doing this...
Eventually,
Unravel from their own intricate...
Strategic complexities.

Now here so vivid,
Are those so unwise.
So vivid with a clarity...
Are those removed from their disguises.
To become recognized and themselves despised.

Humanity

Everytime I walk down the street
I see lots of idiocy
Lots of hypocrites
Lots of ignorance
Lots of people polluting the street
With lots of litter
When I talk to people
They bring up facebook and twitter
I'm like 'Can you talk about something else? '
This is all people talk about these days
All I hear is celebrity gossip and drama
No one knows how to have fun
Everyone's forgotten how to have fun
I hate society
I hate most people
I wish the human race was extinct
I wish the world would just end

Uninvolved But With Kept Expectations

Few doubters are left sitting on any fence,
Unconvinced...
Cemented ideals can and will be bulldozed.
And whatever has not been put into practice,
Gets the ax.
Today...
This is not just an opinion.
Today this is a fact!

Pouters and mumblers can take two giant steps,
Backward with the others...
Who have spent their lives,
Living in a 'they' and a 'them' mentality.

Few doubters are left sitting on any fence,
Unconvinced...
Cemented ideals can and will be bulldozed.
A hand reaching to leech from the sidelines,
Uninvolved but with kept expectations...
Discovers,
Eventually...
How quickly to others it can disappear.

It is suggested,
That the inhalation done with deepened breaths...
The scent of reality,
Will quicken one's awakening...
From the strongholding grasp of delusion.

Poetry Via Alzheimer's

“There’s a kind of music
that lives there”
A little old lady with
Alzheimer’s would declare

When asked if she liked
the ocean and the beach
She appeared not to hear,
Nor even to understand speech

Then her eyes brightened
Her lips parted with a wistful smile
Her memory had returned to enlighten
If only for a little while

As this woman fondly remembered..
I could only in amazement stare
She said, ”Oh my yes! ..And There’s a kind
of Music that lives there”

Just a little old lady with Alzheimer’s
But what a most wondrous and beautiful phrase!
I could not have been stated it more poetically
Had I tried til’ the end of my days

Opening Joke

If I wanted to please everyone...
I'd tell them how fantastic and beautiful they are.
You know...
That stuff folks expect to hear.
Especially out in public.

But geeeesssshhh...
Glancing at this crowd...
I know I have to be honest.
Since I expect most of them,
Would be hearing it for the first time.
And I can see there are lots of folks been lied to...
Sittin' up in here!
You got another pair of sunshades?

And even more would think my honesty,
To be controversial, direct and humorless.
Delivered from the embittered lips,
Of a black man fighting back his anger.

How did truth and honesty,
Become associated with bitterness in the first place?

They get enough amusement anyway.
Some of that stuff that goes on today is so hysterical...
It goes on unacknowledged.
Don't worry!
I've come prepared with an opening joke about economics.
That should rivet them to their seats!
Especially the ones sitting in the front taking notes...
Accustomed to being in seminars.

'Folks...
The topic this evening will be,
'How to Barter and Ghettomize My Pretensions'
Some of you taking notes,
Will find the subject matter rewarding.
IF you already know how to boogey and 'git' down! '

So and So

Do you know those folks
Who will ask others questions
About you?
And when you see them...
They have nothing to say.
In fact...
They may walk away.
Pretending not to see you at all.
Then someone gives you a telephone call,
To say 'so and so' just asked about you.
And you had just seen 'so and so'...
When 'so and so' gave you much attitude!
And these are the folks who spread rumors,
About you not wanting to speak!
Blaming you in their gossip they do.
That's why it is best,
To associate with just few.
If a happiness you wish and nurture...
Is going to be pursued!
Keeping that to yourself...
And protecting it too!

Who Am I to Deny It Promise?

If I am not living my life today...
With the fulness that I should,
To be left feeling betrayed.
Then everyday I have lived my life,
Has been invalidated.

If I can say,
I am not living my life today.
I am dreamless without hope.
I give empty reasons to mope!
I am a vacant shell...
Existing in a hell I've created.
If I am not living my life today!

Where did I store those memories?
When did any happiness come to leave?
Why am I not pleased...
With anything that comes my way?
If I can say,
I am not living my life today!
And I breathe just to witness my breath...
Fade away into a nothingness.

If I am not living my life today...
What is this,
That IS!
And 'who' am I,
To deny 'it' promise?
Like a gift one receives...
Selfishly to leave unwrapped.
Can I honestly believe,
I am not worthy to do that?

If I am not living my life today...
Perhaps I should.
And unpack...
From sorrows deeply stacked.
Trapping my sight in darkness,
Without daylight I alone hold back.

If I am not living my life today...
With the fulness that I should,
To be left feeling betrayed.
Then everyday I have lived my life,
Has been invalidated.

And I know there is 'something' I value,
I can give!
To say 'that' is the reason,
I am here to live!
If I can remove myself...
To cast shadows,
Instead of finding an escape within them.
To live and let my life,
Be the one I have and learn to like!
Unfrightened.

A Saint I Ain't

If there is anyone seeking,
Anything in my life to taint?
I'll be the first to say...
A saint I ain't!

There is too much to explore.
Too much to experience,
Than to choose it to be ignored.
I want to adventure my life!
And that freedom nature offers.
And I can well afford.

Why should I deny myself...
To please those with their noses in the air?
With their stiff necks.
And their tight high lifted derrières!

People like that...
Can remove their behinds of my track.
The path on which I place my steps...
May shock others to hold their breath.
In fact...
Many like that,
Are busy body pests!
You know the kind...
Those who find time,
To wine and dine their displeasures.
As they pour someone's tea!
And I don't mind at all...
Serving up a full pot of my own for starters.
I want it known...
I can be quite cordial.
Even in the midst,
Of my own possible degradation.
I like to sit...
And listen to this mix of gossip.
The 'seriousness' of it...
Is worth a hasty limited visit.

I choose to do the unexpected.
With God's blessings,
Of course.

If there is anyone seeking,
Anything in my life to taint?
I'll be the first to say...
A saint I ain't!
Or profess to know,
What my 'Creator' wishes.
Like some hypocrites...
Quick to quip from scriptures.

I keep my eye on folks like that!
They can become defensive...
When questioned about their lack of facts.

Nor do I choose to walk on water.
Today...
I probably could.
Much of it is too polluted anyway.
Like some people with minds...
With nothing else to do,
But define how others should be living their lives.
Like 'themselves'...
Who have been certified self righteous.
And gossip as they sit in church pews.
Discussing where the pastor's wife,
Purchased her brand new shoes.

A saint I ain't.
Especially after observing...
Those who make claims,
They are the elite of 'christianity'.
And you can find them anywhere.
Once they have been seen...
Like roosters with hens pecking,
On any scene they pronounce as qualified...
For their self indulgence.

Journey Of Life

The journey of life begins
when we are born,
and ends when we die,
but it is the years in between,
that matter the most.

Within those years our character,
is born and thrives.
The way we live our lives,
and the way
we web our lies.

The good we do to others,
the hurt we all retain,
and sacrifices that we make,
and the mistakes
in which we partake.

The love we give,
so freely,
expecting nothing in return.
The honour of our lives,
that so brightly burns.

The wrong roads we walk,
but the right roads we choose,
the hands we hold out,
for helping,
so glad they are not refused.

The journey of life
is the one we walk,
and the choices we all make,
each and every day,
are there waiting for us on our judgement day.

How Do You Stop?

By dan hartman and charlie midnight
Hard bodies
Soft emotions
So fast
So smart
The world is at your feet
But what about your heart?
Fame and fortune cant hold you tight
In the late late hours of the night
How do you stop
Before its too late?
You choose and you lose
If you hesitate
How do you stop
Before its too late?
You think love will wait
So you dont hold on
And then its gone
Youve had success-
Lots of fancy friends
Youve tasted the good life
You thought it would never end
One day youre too young
Then youre in your prime
Then youre looking back at the hands of time
How do you stop
Before its too late?
You choose and you lose
If you hesitate
How do you stop
Before its too late?
You think love will wait
So you dont hold on
And then its gone
How do you stop a runaway train?
How do you stop the driving rain?
How do you stop the ripening corn?
How do you stop a baby being born?
How do you stop
Before its too late?
You choose and you lose
If you hesitate
How do you stop
Before its too late?
How do you stop?
Youre lost if you hesitate ...
How do you stop
Love from slipping away?
How do you stop
Before its too late?
