At Rest - 1041
Through expanding space
beyond old inhibitions
the mind may e[r]ase
artificial skins.
As spirit dissolves levels,
inner freedom wins,
consciousness, can chase
surface metamorphosis -
sh[r]edded to replace
superficial grins,
self-deception - whose dark hells
are the greatest sins.
When understanding
maturity underpins,
then momentum spins
through both thick and thin,
talent touches base with place
as feelings akin
to acceptance win
acceptance without need to [t]race
extension within
inner harmony, begins
accepting both what potential spells
and inner shortcomings.
there mind may be at rest
as all is for the best

When a Consciousness Begins to Lift
When a consciousness begins to lift...
To leave behind foolishness that exists.
There seems to be an acceptance of it.
As if one realizes,
A birth has been committed.
When a consciousness begins to lift...
A release of limitations,
Easily takes a shift.
No longer is one concerned,
About winning conflicts with enemies burned.
When a consciousness begins to lift...
It becomes easier to observe,
Those disturbed and their afflictions addicted.
Enjoyed and unrestricted.
When a consciousness begins to lift...
It is best to rest.
And let it accept the truth,
That comes with it.
When a consciousness begins to lift...
Expect a shock and some loneliness.
When a consciousness begins to lift...
Those experiencing this,
Are left to feel estranged!
Alienated,
From that...
Which one had thought,
Was sane!
When a consciousness begins to lift...
Enjoy it as a gift.
Unveiling an abundance of understanding.
Connecting a peace that can be reached.
With a wish to share and treat.
When a consciousness begins to lift...
From those taught they should live,
With lives accepted in self defeat!

Space Travel Made Easy
Just think;
Space travel without a space suit or spacecraft!
Not possible?
Think again!
There is no need for physical form when spirit is set free
Spirit is pure consciousness that is impervious to hot or cold
Spirit has no need to breathe, eat or drink
Spirit can travel anywhere instantly
Want to know how the sun works?
You can go to the sun’s surface by sheer intention
Yes, anywhere is not only possible but practicable
So how do you separate spirit from your body?
Firstly your ego must be bound and gagged
Then meditate to still the doubting mind
In time you remember how to leave your body
Next you will yourself free of physical form
On Earth;
Release of form is the only freedom possible
Freedom is the launching pad for your spirit
An unencumbered spirit knows all there is to know,
And absolute freedom makes everything possible
Now there is only one question left to ask
What star in the Cosmos do I want to visit?

Ars Poetica
Some from within, some from without,
without a doubt set to,
as soul-song spins tale which begins
to flow, grow, glow. Thereto
through weaving in and weeding out
touch base with Nature, cue
time, place, as twins defeat and wins
ignored are through and through.
No need to shout, run roundabout,
use artificial glue,
scribe’s violin tunes, underpins,
technique as heart rings true.
Sensations scout, don’t beat about
the bush, tout false virtue,
The poet’s string must second skin
become, ne’er dumb, askew.
Words work their way by night and day
from phases past, to light
through threads at play that more threads lay,
reeled phrases feed fresh flight.

Peer Pressure, Identity, and Acceptance
Just not fitting in
Where's those people?
Is there anyone like me?
Am I supposed to be like them?
Just not fitting in
I want acceptance they don't want me
They want me to compromise
This isn't who I am
Who am I anyways?
It's only temporary.... right?
I can't lose myself cause I'm....well I'm me
I need acceptance they're like a distant dream
They're staring right through me
They're speaking to me out of sympathy
They see through my act
They see.... no they couldn't
Who are they anyways?
I guess I'll call them..... well, they're friends
They're all I got
I crave acceptance
The pangs of loneliness
No it's not that
Not quite
As much as I crave acceptance
I think deep down
I don't want to have to change
I think deep down
If I could speculate about myself
Deep down I want to be me
But who.... who am I? I can't remember or maybe....
Maybe there's nothing to remember
Just fitting in
Has changed me
Where can I get real acceptance
Would anyone just care about me even knowing that I was me?
I can't even love me, I don't want to feed me, I don't want to help me
Why would they?
Is there anyone who'd just want me, even if they knew it was me?
Acceptance
It's not just a commodity, it's a necessity
So I found acceptance
It took my life but I'd gladly give it up again
It's better that I no longer live
Well in the my old definition of life
This.... this is life
It's acceptance
I found acceptance with the one I deserved it from the least
Someone I never did anything for
One of my greatest enemies
That's why this acceptance
This forgiveness
This love
Changed me
From the inside
Out
I think I found part of me, I must show my friends
Or that's what I thought
Because the cruel reality of the world is that it
Denies us that one thing that we need to survive that one thing we crave
Acceptance
When I told them He loved me
I lost what little friends I did have
But I have more than I've had
Because I have
Acceptance

On Apes and Angels
We time together for some little space
Each adding unto each when harmony
Advances understanding, spirits free,
Rewards unneeded where acceptance trace
Enscribes upon the book of life. No race,
As difference mingles through the 'he in she'.
Some parts speak heart, some mindspeak, some may be
Too scared, too scarred, to trust amazing grace,
Refusing opportunities replace
Alliance open-end annuity.
None are all apes, none angels are that see
Great expectations through that interlace
Ever spokes Cause, Effect, put into place.
Most are part angel, primate part, mate we
In meeting may mutate wait's weight to be
Not breath constrictive which blind eye won't face,
Generating rather interface
Lifting ape to angel, when agree
Inner angels need reality,
Need also space to grow and to touch base.
Glimpsing future song ape's density
Only grasps when Time extends its see
Far from minds' current streams which soon erase
All trace of what might possibly debase
Perpetual search of self - and right to flee,
Eliminate choice offered as a key
An angel wise rejects - preferring chase,
New challenge daily, turns down 'just in case'
Desires and aspirations think link key.
Ape, down to earth, asserts priority
No angel could endorse for narrow pace
Goodwill may seem to squander not embrace,
Empathy mistrusts top/down celerity.
Life mingles ape and angel, colours minds,
Sorrow seldom see[k]s what free joy finds...

Acceptance is life.
Without accepting
You can not stand
Without accepting
You can not stay

Everything is OK
Go and enjoy life.

Said Before To Say It Again
On my mind are these times.
And I do find these times on my mind,
Hard to define.
With a keeping of those,
Feeling these times have them boxed in.
And on my mind,
There is a reason to seek rhythm and rhyme.
With my visions set,
On what it would take...
To increase my happiness.
I've said this before to say it again.
I'm not looking for stoppers,
To block as obstacles to hop over.
Or the welcoming arms of acceptance.
With a hope that they will open,
The gates to a fence to feel I've been approved.
On my mind are these times.
And I do find these times on my mind,
Hard to define.
With a keeping of those,
Feeling these times have them boxed in.
Acceptance or not,
I'm not looking to get out of a box.
Too many have found themselves there,
To argue over space,
With little of it that to share.
I've said this before to say it again.
Those feeling trapped,
Like it exactly like that.
Fresh is the air,
One dares to breathe alone.
Revitalized is an atmosphere,
When the clearing of a sky,
Becomes recognized to the one who looks...
To discover the vastness of it to become known.

Overdue
Appeasing to your comforts...
Is not my wish at all.
I desire a satisfaction lifted,
From a place that keeps you stalled.
Sometimes it is difficult.
Most times uncertainty sets.
But when you let an acceptance begin...
It becomes less of a nightmare,
And more of a mind that desires...
To be extended.
To reach beyond and test.
It happens when you least suspect.
Especially as objections end.
A thought or two that releases an attitude...
Produces another outlook for you,
To broaden with each step.
And this is true.
Allowing an understanding,
That has been suppressed...
To become a lesser thing to do!
As more of this higher consciousness,
Is welcomed by you and much overdue.

Osmosis Links
Links may spontaneously flower
mysteriously in an hour.
Oasis metamorphosis,
stars bliss synonymous with kiss,
transforming through transcendent power
strong bond long longed for, to endower
two hearts with hope. Analysis
is absent, gratitude remiss.
Awaiting empathetic bower,
once wandering, wide world would scour,
acceptance shared helps man and miss
to merge, defences shed, dismiss
superficial difference,
reluctance sitting on the fence.

What Has Changed
The world as I saw it as a youth
changed slowly in my mind.
It was warm and kind and friendly,
everything I wished to find.
The warmth of the sun,
never feared.
The kindness of people,
to me endeared.
The friendliness of strangers,
volunteered.
All of this my eyes did see.
The world as I saw it in mid-life
changed quicker in my mind.
It was filled with doubt and sometimes grief,
not something I expected to find.
The insecurities of life,
to me all new.
The losses that occur,
to me so blue.
The threats to harmony,
to me, to you.
All of this my eyes did see.
The world as I see it in riper years
changes not one bit in my mind.
For I've learned through living every day
there is something I can find.
The peace of understanding
that things don't change.
The spirit of humanity
that can rearrange
the acceptance of reality
which is strange.
The illusion of falseness
which tries to derange
everything good that comes your way.
And when we live through our very last day
we find that the only thing that's changed
Are we.

Would You Follow Me
(john kongos)
Would you follow me if I search for another life
Would you walk with me through the dark and the hungry times
If I said, Im gonna leave today
What would you do
Would you pack some things and come away too
Lose or win, thick or thin
Where would you like to be
Lose or win, thick or thin
Would you follow me
Would you follow me
Even though my dreams seem too far away today
Take a chance and
Stand by my side and
Lose or win, thick or thin
Where would you like to be
Lose or win, thick or thin
Would you follow me
Would you follow me
If I said Im goin away to join some revolution
Could you ever give up what they call the good life
Would you care to know what Im lookin for
And if I find it
Would you take note of the time, would you mind it
Lose or win, thick or thin
Where would you like to be
Lose or win, thick or thin
Would you follow me
Would you follow me

Rhetorical
I would like to know
What is a wife?
What is a companion?
What is a friend?
I do not know
What a husband is.
I do know
What I am
I have some understanding
Concerning a companion
In either situation
Concern for the other...
A cascade never ending.
On one/another we are depending
Equilibrium is always first.
Love means nothing
Without consideration
Neither is friendship.
Something even when you are hurting
A grave sacrifice...
Forbearance is a required act.
Exploring outside of you
Without sealing off the rest of you...
In a true relationship there is no boss
Passing the cup to the one capable
Unite that decision...
No defense needed.
Not to make a pledge
But a certain maturing from the ledge
Perfection can always be...considered.
Love has many levels
A wife has many levels
A friend has many levels...
A mask has no levels,
Trickology is what it is...
Deception no matter what level,
It is deception.
No good can come from it
No matter what it's true is.
I am in battle with myself
A battle I intend to win...
Once I understand
A comparison now and again
A place or time now and again
I would like to know;
Is that a reason to grow
I understand friendship?
But who am I any/way?
Am I friend or foe?

Early Works - Race For Space
In long corridors of time and space
linger men caught within a race
to get to the stars and back
gaining knowledge that they lack.
Opening door yet unknown to man
finding things untouchable by hand,
but what will happen to the human race
when someone wins the race for space.
Astronauts fly into outer space
helping these men caught within this race
to find the difficult answer
of how to conquer
the unknown out there
far aloft from our atmosphere,
and what will happen to the human race
when someone wins the race for space.
Through the decades, men have pondered
what ship could be propelled
to visit plants and stars
like Jupiter and mars,
and break from earth’s gravity
from which we’re held,
but what will happen to the human race
when someone wins the race for space.

The Darkness In My Mind
The darkness on this man within
Human nature burdens this soul
Covered by a superficial skin
And yet still dark as a whole.
The darkness crowds this room
Covers every inch of this mans heart
Its natural, yet brutally soon
Still dark, which will never depart.
The darkness in my mind
A sense of all for one
barbaric, uncivil and unkind
Still dark, it can never be undone.
This superficial cloth
is as thin as paper in the rain
A transparent and pointless emboss
And still I'm dark, all the same.

Lost
(1/21/12)
I was lost in a world of my own
Traveling through the valleys of my mind
Where there was only space and no time.
A place where minds go to be free
And musicians playing in harmony.
Where voices of the best singers
Would gather around and put
Together the greatest sounds.
A place where you can be yourself
And not have to listen to anyone else.
A place where you can be lost in
the thoughts of your mind
And be there till the ends of your time
A place of imaginations and dreams
And of places seen and unseen.
Everyone no matter who they may be
Has been in this place of mystery.
We start off when we’re very young
A place that we go to have some fun.
Then as we get into our teenage years
We start to travel more and lose our fears.
We start to visualize what we would
Like to be, set our goals, and set
Our hearts and minds free.
Our hearts and spirit so clear and bright
Which turns our darkness into light.
All we see is the clear path ahead
Where so many before have tread.
So allow yourself to get lost in
The caverns of your mind
You’ll be amazed at what you’ll find.

An Even Dozen (human needs)
I wondered what the basic needs
Of the average human could be
I know these don’t apply to everyone
But they do apply to me
First on my list: would be nutrition,
the usual food and drink
Second would be: Rest, sleep and relaxation
Third would be the need …
For recognition I should think
Fourth would be… most certainly
The human need for touch
For without the laying on of hands
Life would lack so much
Fifth would be the need for place
A place to call one’s own
A place within the human race
A place that one calls home
Sixth would be acceptance
Of one’s place within the clan
And the mutual understanding
Of exactly where we stand
Seventh is the sense of need
To feel the need to belong
And to also feel that one is needed
And that the need is strong
Eighth on my list is comfort
Comfort within one’s skin
Comfort in where one is in life
Comfort without and within
Ninth would be the need for pleasure
For the body and for the mind
Pleasure of the physical self
Pleasures of the human kind
Goals would be my tenth essential
An additional and necessary need
For a life without ambition Would …
be bland and empty indeed
Satisfaction is number eleven
For unrest on the soul is an onerous weight
While the feeling of satisfaction
Is a most humanly pleasant state
Last, but not least among all of the needs
Of the human animal I’ve listed above
is the combined total of all of those deeds
Last…is peace of mind…and love

Channels
CHANNELS
Each second spins, dissolves, fresh mesh to weave
flesh minutes in strange sequence, interlace
the hours which daily years refresh to race
ganesh unknown.
Each thought wave ripples outwards to conceive
a cause/effect relationship few trace
and fewer find the time to interface
with the unsown.
Yet all makes sense where channels to receive
decode what static seems to those who’d lace
the edges of their cells of time and place
together thrown
while Time itself, intending to deceive,
here tosses coin, replaces tail with face,
there spin repeats, initial choice erase
with cards unshown.
What some receive as Gospel, strong believe,
others hold as heresy, disgrace.
Black, white, day, night, lack insight to replace
with hid what’s shown.
On ignorance credes feed when doubters cleave
to certitudes where, insecure, they chase
from fount to font minds blind or lower case,
can’t call their own
an attitude where tolerance would leave
for others understanding, living space
to foster common interest with good grace,
not pick a bone.
Thread true to pattern, facettes fractal reeve
retinal after-image to encase
the here and now in setting far from base –
hear, how’s, tune-tone.
Each thought wave push me-pull you t(r) ies to heave
sigh of relief, - burst bottlenecks Change brace
for interlink to ink invent, deplace
accent ‘chance’ blown.
Life Lakshmi surfs on foam of make-believe,
leaves fall, leave echo (c) old, untold, embrace
the stirrings of another zeitgeist’s pace …
as challenge prone.
Second thoughts conjur hell or saving grace,
momentum gathered rushes on a-pace,
continuous, relentless, rolling race
to the unknown…

Reluctance and Self Acceptance
RELUCTANCE AND SELF ACCEPTANCE
Neutrality is rarely cup of tea.
where intelligence creative and aware
dare not stagnate, can't simply stop and stare.
Open mind needs true transparency,
tunes into wave length seeds so few can key, -
finds answers which should new advance prepare -
to change dimensions as defensive layer
at last can soften, leaving spirit free.
Although the quest for self discovery
lends hope to scope to answer inner prayer
though self acceptance may not dare to dare
respond to feelings in the first degree,
Never content within the status quo,
you “why' and 'wherefore' therefore need to know.
Need to feed, reluctance to be fed,
is paradox where intellect attracts -
comb[in]ing 'cause/effect' for hidden tracks
opens patterns which help think ahead.
Leaving double bind behind, mind's led
defeating ‘déjà vu's’ stark whites and blacks.
Where harmony, transparency one lacks -
trust may be spurned though earned - dark path to tread.
Though years past cost counts spread crape mirage b[l]ed.
one must look forward, sow, life interacts
with feeling flows emotions mesh, - no cracks -
reactions to response tune heart to head.
Nourished, open sentiments take root,
then flourish where their boughs may bear full fruit.

Mantis and Chameleon Combined
MANTIS AND CHAMELEON COMBINED
Mantis and chameleon combined
In sorrow-smile strange siren spectrum sings.
Rainbow surface spins unfathomed rings,
Intense emotions stirs. Heart, unassigned,
Awaits soft spell but enters hell, won't bind.
Much time is wasted, time whose acid stings
Must dreams dissolve, naught solve. Vain vampire wings
Each night takes flight, though fantasy, resigned,
No spice retains, scope wanes as hopes unwind.
Defensive moats must lapse, emotions bring
Ease, understanding, joy in everything,
Serenity with sharing redefined.
Mobility of spirit and of mind
Must self-acceptance learn, fears leave behind.

Inner Liberty - 0253 - 1997 Version
The spent cartridge of inspiration hangs in mid air, arrested as if Time and Space did conspire to offset that energy which aspires to fire the ages, and shatter the need for conceptual anchors. Awaiting the meeting which would mutate mate to mating, pivot and pillow word challenge the anchors of Tie and Place, the immortality of the soul, seek to block the spirit's mating/meeting with itself.
A straight line, desperate to [t]race with light itself, as if its life depended upon its speed, soars, curving, through the universe attempting to reach, underscore, and underline itself. Light affects all levels of cosmic consciousness until the circle reforms an image of universal harmony.
Emotions long to [l]ink the pages of the Present, intertwining Past and Future, and, in letters large as life, decipher themselves, decode the genius so near, and yet so far. The door of insight and enlightenment is ever ajar, though it often seems too narrow to all who ephemerally flicker through their three score years and ten.
The sleeper seeks to wake, awakening unlooked for in this temporal continuum. Kernel, unrooted from the inner recesses of the mind, that dark fertile area where creativity restlessly anticipates release, bursts into activity. Innovation is considered cancerous by many who would their inner selves refute, or fear to know. The universal soul awaits the inspiration to send the sap soaring, outpouring at all levels. Tendrils tentatively touch, the tenderly tease the tortured synapses of the spirit. Explosion of consciousness calls all, especially itself, into question. Truth's essential essence reflects prismatically on all aspects of awareness, the soul works on the Will to redefine the Way.
The sleeper wakes, works on the Will, finds, refines, and redefines the Way.
