Never Given Their Just Due Attention

Alerts to avert impending disasters,
To prepare those listening to be more aware...
Are never given their just due attention.
People facing the naturalness of them,
Often dismiss such warnings...
As announcements of upcoming sales,
Being offered to promote a marketing scheme.

Quatrain #318 - Some people may think and say........

Some people may think and say that ignorance is bliss,
while others refute the idea as nonsense and so dismiss.
They also add that if we don't know about something it probably wont hurt
but if we do know it can make a world of difference and any danger avert.

There Are Many Who Are Talented

There are many with gifts,
That are relevant as presented.
There are many who are talented,
With a seeking to reach heights.
And there are those who were born,
For the purpose of igniting thought.
And doing this without a challenge...
Since a naturalness given to them,
Is unselfishly offered to others brought.
However...
Hopefully an attention sought is caught!
Or it would defeat the purpose of a reach.
And nothing delivered sinks in as taught.
With intended depth remaining surfaced.
And a leaking occurs few see as a need.

To Circumvent What It Is Done They Do

To do what one loves,
Becomes one's evidence...
In the doing.
Not as proof to convince,
But as a love one does.
And with a doing of it not to mention.
As observed...
People who do what they love,
Do not do it for the attention.

Then there are those who make speeches,
At social events where pretentions are invited.
And there they are...
To make unsolicited announcements,
As to what they did to do or will be done...
To show nothing accomplished.
To anyone.
But the ability to embellish is there to relish.

And people like this should not be faulted,
For what it is they most address as a love...
To do and get.
Since...
For them it is the getting of attention.
To circumvent what it is done they do best.
With that proof shown to anyone,
Who has sat long enough to listen until numbed.
And sometimes with impatience done to give.

Do You Think 'They' Are Conscious Of It?

Why is it that some people are racists?

'For the same reason Zebras are black and white.'

But Zebras were born with their stripes.
Do you think any of them stay aware of it.
To go around making announcements,
As to which animals they dislike?

'Who knows?
Which color do you suppose they prefer? '

That probably depends,
Upon where they go...
With the getting of a needed attention.

'Do you think 'they' are conscious of it?
The others who are also different? '

Which ones?
They are all unique and different.
You mean the Elephants, the Tigers...
Lions, Hippos, Leopards?
Or the Monkeys, Chimpanzees or the Apes?
To me they all look the same.

'What about the Giraffes?
They are different than the Kangeroos.'

No.
They probably look above all of that.
And besides...
Kangeroos are not of African descent.

'Do you think they harbor resentment because of it?
Because they too are different? '

Who?
The Kangeroos?

'No...
The racists.'

Maybe that's a reason why they refer to themselves,
As the 'majority'.

'Of what? '

Mankind United

sitting in the church pew
listening to the priest
all my emotions began to unleash.

listening about all the worlds disasters
and help reaching HAITI so much faster.
people are starting to learn to care
and their feelings they're starting to share.

the LORD has a reason
for the taking of so many lives.

and all of these disasters
for the unity of man
is what he is after.

mankind is starting to act
to the plight of others.
saving children, sisters and brothers
and the fathers and mothers.

how would you feel if the
earthquake was where you lived.
would'nt you want a helping hand
from a neighbor to give.

and if the one that was
under all that rubble
was lacking air and you
had the means and you really cared.

wouldn't you give that breath of air
and all the life saving equipment
that you could share.

this is what mankind united
can and will do
it all depends upon me and you.

The Listening One

The Listening One

Does he, did he, know, what he contributed
to the truth of what was spoken?

Towards the back seats of the lecture room,
this tidy, slim, quiet, dark-complexioned youth
listened with unwavering attention;

so much in the moment, his mind, so visibly,
claiming nothing; receiving all that there was to receive;
contributing, all that an audience can:

under his so steady listening,
I could not lie, blur, dodge; be anything
but dedicated to the truth;
from his attention, through my own,
he gave the audience more than I prepared.

I wonder if he knows the gift he’s shaped.
How many others has he blessed thus, with himself?

The Hindus have a name for him:
the Southward Facing, and the Formless One;
the Self as youth who teaches elders by his silence.

You may have met him, mortal, once or twice;
I wonder if he knows his priceless gift?

[A long-delayed debt of gratitude never since forgotten.]

As They Prepare And Await

As they prepare and await to have a confrontation,
Those who have been aware of this...
Have paid them no attention.
None that threatens,
Other motivated intentions.
So they continue to pretend,
Not to notice them.

And since there is a higher consciousness involved,
Those wishing to dissolve their hidden insecurities...
Prove they are clueless,
As to what they should do next...
To further undermine themselves with an undressing,
Of their immaturity and limitations they can not leave.
At least to keep protected from an obviousness.

'What are they doing over there? '

~The obvious.~

'But shouldn't 'they' be aware of it? '

~Yes.
They should.
But apparently not from our point of view.~

'I have an idea.'

~What is it? ~

'Let's pretend with hints we are concerned.'

Used Car Sales People

With the gift of the gab they would talk their way out of hell
These used car sales people they know how to sell
On their selling ability their jobs are at stake
The more cars they do sell the more commission they do make
On any deals they clinch they have never lost
And your trust on such people can come at a cost
The more cars they sell the more money they get paid
A hard job to succeed in the used car trade,
Shy and sensitive used car sales people one might say are rare
To sell one a car no effort they do spare
They have to sell cars or their boss them will fire
And other used car yard owners as car sales people them will not hire
The more cars they sell the greater is their pay
So to sell you a car they try every which way.

Listening

Listening.
And being there for someone loved...
To do just that!
With a mind willing,
To be receptive and clear...
Of opinions sitting,
On the tip of one's tongue.
With a giving of attention,
And staying mum.
Listening to someone.

Listening is not easily done.
For those who have experienced...
A life in which peace of mind has come.
When a listening ear,
Had not been volunteered by no one.
And some who know this...
Do their best to sit with patience.
Listening with no other reason...
But to be there as is wished.
For someone who has selected you,
Just for this.

Nurtured Crops

Those impending signs of tragedy,
Have long ago been seeded.
Accompanied by the taste for greed.

Implemented with a consciousness,
By the ones patiently harvesting their laments.
With wishes to increase their gluttony.
And inflict upon others,
A sense to impress with an exclusiveness...
Only those selected would get.

Those impending signs of tragedy,
Have long ago been seeded.
Accompanied by the taste for greed.

And those nurtured crops,
From the beginning quite damaged...
Were raised and praised to reflect a need.
And the feeding of this misfit craving...
Has today been denounced,
As blemishes that flaws...
The mindset of a blinded society.

Those impending signs of tragedy,
Have long ago been seeded.
Accompanied by the taste for greed.

And even though,
There has been those speaking against this...
The marketing of this addicting sickness,
Will continue as long as a dollar is made.
That very same dollar,
Faithfully worshipped but not associated with craze.

Wind In Our Sales

One day we will have what we need
To build an extremely big neon sign
For people who dont know who we are
Five guys in a band
We have the wind in our sales
Why quit when we are this close to a dream?
We have the wind in our sales
The heat is waiting for us to be turned on
One day we will have what we need
To build an extremely big iron cage
For people who show us no respect
Five lives in their hands
We have the wind in our sales
Why quit when we are this close to a dream?
We have the wind in our sales
The heat is waiting for us to be turned on
Laugh about the irony, we become who we tried not to be
Music falls back to second place in this commercial race

Our Immediate Problems

I could double over suffering,
From severe bladder spasms.
Or experience pain so acute,
To drive me to puke with a sitting done...
On street curbs in view of everyone.

And not one person in my neighbor,
Would could to inquire about my feelings.
Or express a sincerity of caring first.
However...
I may be approached by someone who heard,
How I went out of my way,
To get an attention I did not deserve.

And these are the same people,
Who will declare that a coming together...
Will solve our immediate problems shared.

These are the very same people,
Who will stop to stare will announcements...
Blaring in the air,
That a unity is what the children need to see...
To establish more respect for others.
A respect they can witness to see.

And...
These are the very same people,
Seeking to criticize anyone attempting to 'try'...
To get anything done.
These are people we all know...
Who say the have no time to sacrifice,
With a giving and doing of their involvement that shows.

Born To First Recognize Truth

If people were born and conditioned,
To familiarize themselves with the telling of the truth...
Less conflicts would be introduced.
More people would express respect.
Less hospitals would be produced.
And more resources would be shared...
With everyone everywhere experiencing happiness,
Instead of buying into a marketing of despair.
If more people were born to be made aware,
Of their true identities and leaving few to care...
Why some have to lie to hide their insecurities,
To mask a superiority over others.
IF...
People were born not to fear what 'is'.
So much pain today suffered would be reduced.
And none of this 'created' reality would exist,
IF...
People soon after birth were told first about truth.

Disasters

Disasters strike upon the land, some by God and some by man.
The disasters of a natural force, they come from God of course.
Some however are wicked plans, found in the evil heart of man.
Both will have the same result, moving men into deeper thought.

At times a quiet earth may quake, leaving destruction in its wake.
Such times are the finger of God, touching the earth that we trod.
Disasters will strike any nation, leaving behind much devastation.
Such disasters are truly unkind, leaving pain and suffering behind.

Many people escape the wrath, being far from the disasters path.
But it should not be ignored, as they need to reflect on The Lord.
Many disasters sure to come, were predicted by God’s own Son.
Some by God are meant to be, signs pointing all men to Eternity.

Others simply have their start, in man’s wicked deceptive heart,
Hearts, by Christ, we were told, in the end would only grow cold.
But all the tragedy soon will end, when to the earth Christ is sent.
Man has become so depraved, without Christ none will be saved.

Even the earth groans in pain, eager to be purged from sin’s stain.
As tragic as these disasters are, the end will be much worse by far.
For during the Great Tribulation, wrath will pour upon every nation.
As God’s final Judgment’s poured, on all men who reject The Lord.

0008 A Ghazal

I lie awake as the light night-rain falls, listening
to its irregularities, listening

as the breeze blows it now and then
against the window and the curtain flutters; listening

and wondering if I can hear
the rain listening

to itself, as if – I sometimes think I hear this –
there’s a moment just before it stops as if listening

to its own decision to stop, as if it sighs,
thinks, that’s enough; it could be listening

to the gratitude of the closed flowers, the wet earth,
the ecstasy of roots which are themselves listening

to the flowers sleeping, sighing in their sleep.
But do you wonder why I’m listening

instead of sleeping, this warm rainy night?
What’s so important that it needs my listening?

It was the rain that woke me; and as I turned, sighed,
it was the thought of you last night here next to me, listening

not to me, but to your own dreams – which I may never share;
though I may share you in my listening

to your sweet sleep’s breath, felt faintly on my shoulder;
and so, there’s a question in my listening –

did you awake at the same night rain, you so far away,
awake, sigh, and in your half-awakened listening

know that I too, thought of you?
Sighed that sweet thought, of our shared, single listening? …

As the perfume of a rose may be more evocative than the rose,
So sweeter, steadier than thought, dream, memory – the listening!
