Lips Freer To Speak
My hands seem to tremble...
And not as nimble as they were.
My legs seem to shake,
With each step I take.
My vision once clear...
Now without glasses blur!
My words once chosen,
Are quick to blurt and stir!
Blunt are passages,
That dance on my tongue.
And I find myself caught,
As stunned as everyone!
My mind and time...
Are better now defined.
And when I leave an opinion given,
I leave it as delivered...
Without a need to feel it must be driven!
I don't beat around the bush...
Or hide behind the trees!
I finally found who I am...
And pleased to reveal that reality as 'me'!
Although aging has made my lips freer to speak,
It has taken my ass a little longer to flee.
With a bravery intact...
That empowers my pride and dignity!

Not Experienced
Deciding to finally be direct...
After years of beating around the bush,
May be a refreshing step for you.
With a mind hesitating,
In an outdated point of view.
But for those who now could care less...
What from them you expect.
Your steps taken,
To see the forest 'and' its trees...
Has left you alone,
In a reality once accepted...
As those observations,
Came then too quick.
To take as they were.
Inspect and leave.
Since for many what you perceive,
Is a reality lived,
And gone as it was believed.
What 'was' no longer exists.
Today changes have become,
Complexed.
And in these times that continue on...
You may find what's next for you too perplexed,
For someone like you...
Who's not experienced in being direct.
You will find that reality you have has gone.

He's EVERYTHING!
God can,
And will understand.
God,
Is there...
Whenever others leave you.
God,
Will take you in His hand.
Comfort and feed.
As he guides and protects,
Your destiny.
God,
Will step in and command.
God,
Is ALL there is.
From the smallest creatures unseen.
To reveal those scenes so grand.
God,
If you'd just believe...
He wants for you a happiness,
Freed of misery.
But you gotta know this,
In your mind.
And you gotta feel this,
All the time.
And say in your prayers,
Just what you mean.
There's nothing you can hide from God.
He's EVERYTHING!
God can,
And will understand.
God,
Is there...
Whenever others leave you.
God,
Will take you in His hand.
Comfort and feed.
Step in and command.
But,
You gotta know this,
In your mind.
But,
You gotta feel this,
All the time.
And,
Say in your prayers...
Just what you mean.
There's nothing you can hide from God.
He's EVERYTHING!
There's nothing you can hide from God.
He's EVERYTHING!
But,
You gotta know this,
In your mind.
But,
You gotta feel this,
All the time.
And,
Say in your prayers...
Just what you mean.
There's nothing you can hide from God.

I Finally Found My Way To You
So many people tried to help me on my way
So little time and theres still so much left to say
Theres no explaining all the things that Ive been through
But Ive finally fount my way to you
I finally found my way to you
Now the day is endhing and the night begins to fall
Sometimes I wonder if Ill make it back at all
I gave up everything I had and ever knew
But I finally found my way
Finally found my way
I finally found my way to you
Remember how we used to hide away
Wed share the secrets of our souls
Turn down the lights and dance the night away
Wed dance the night away
Wed dance the night away
Remember how we used to hide away
Wed dance the night away (x 4)
And now Ill hold you like I never have before
Ill let you go just long enough to lock that door
The words I whisper come so late and overdue
But I finally found my way, I finally found my way
I finally found my way to you
To you baby.

Dance Dance Dance
After six hours of school I've had enough for the day
I hit the radio dial and turn it up all the way
I gotta dance (dance dance dance now the beat's really hot) right on the spot
(Dance dance dance right there on the spot)
The beat's really hot
(Dance dance dance now the beat's really hot)
Dance (dance) dance (dance) dance (dance) yeah!
When I feel put down I try to shake it off quick
With my guy by my side the radio does the trick
I wanna dance (dance dance dance now the beat's really hot) right on the spot
(Dance dance dance right there on the spot)
The beat's really hot
(Dance dance dance now the beat's really hot)
Dance (dance) dance (dance) dance (dance) yeah!
At a weekend dance we like to show up late
I play it cool when it's slow and jump it when it's fast
I gotta dance (dance dance dance now the beat's really hot) right on the spot
(Dance dance dance right there on the spot)
The beat's really hot
(Dance dance dance now the beat's really hot)
Dance (dance) dance (dance) dance (dance) yeah!
(Dance dance dance now the beat's really hot)
(Dance dance dance right there on the spot)
(Dance dance dance now the beat's really hot)

(Dance dance dance right there on the spot)

Blind
Ive been searching for the answers
Ive been diving in the sea
Ive been haunted by the shadows
Of what we could have been
And its not that Im broken
And it isnt that I bleed
But when you pulled the stars from the heavens
It got so hard to see
And where would I put my hands now?
Its over now, we had our time
Its over now, we had our time
But you leave me, blind
Will you leave me, blind
Dove for the treasures
We went deep down for the pearls
And we could have cracked it open
Yeah, it could have been so good
And where would I put my hands now?
Its over now, we had our time
Its over now, we had our time
I feel this pain, I know Im alive
If love is wrong, then Im doing time
I feel myself, small like a child
My love has gone, how will I survive
Its everywhere, its in the trees
All those stars and I cant see
Im blind, Im blind, Im blind
And how will you think of us
A crease along your hand
Lying at these temple doors
Beautiful and sad
And where would I put my hands now?
Its over now, we had our time
Its over now , we had our time
But you leave me, blind
Will you leave me, blind
Its in the trees
All those stars and I cant see
Oh, you leave me, you leave
You leave me, blind, blind
Ooh, you leave me, you leave me
Its in the trees
You leave me, you leave me
Blind

With The Pride
Just leave me with the pride
That i worked for
Now they've taken the reason away
Just leave me with the pride
That i worked for
Today
Build on rock, or build on sand,
They're never gonna lend a hand
So nothing grows or nothing stands
I can't take any more
I can't take any more
There's not a lot of space for me
But i've still got my dignity
I've got my price
Don't say i'm free
I can't take anymore
I can't take anymore
But i'm hungry
I could eat anything
But i'm hungry
Oh, let's dance, oh, let's swing
And all that i hear are the words that she sings
Now they've taken it all
Now they've taken it all
I'd rather take this cure for life
Than make myself a sacrifice
If living is to pay the price
I can't take anymore
I can't take anymore
It takes a while to understand
When your eyes are full of sand
When only time is in your hands
I can't take anymore
I can't take anymore
But i'm hungry
I could eat anything
But i'm hungry
Oh, let's dance, oh, let's swing
And all that i hear are the words that she sings
Now they've taken it all
Now they've taken it all
Just leave me with the pride
Taht i worked for
Now they've taken the reason away
Just leave me with the pride
That i worked for
Today.

My Last Breath
I believe,
The time has come for me to move on.
My breath shall no longer blow,
My heart shall no longer beat strong.
This physical body I shall leave behind,
But, my Soul will be set free.
There will be no more pain no more sadness,
Nothing left in which to hurt me.
Sadly I must leave behind what has always meant the most,
Only because I know I am not what they need.
They deserve to be happy not watch me suffer,
Their much better off, indeed.
So as I prepare for my long journey Home,
I finally begin to feel some peace of mind.
Soon all this will be behind me,
And eternal peace I too shall find

Three Ladies Dancing In My Mind
the first one was white and smooth
baby lips and natural black hair
the second one was aggressive
like my mother telling me every details
to be done in my life
the third one does not speak
lurks in the corner and waits.
they all dance in my mind
not having chosen whom
until they all stop and then
leave me alone
in my indecision
the three women dance in the world
taking their other options
throwing their legs
in crazy steps
mechanically less my love
and affection.

Shoot From The Hip
If you want to get it quick.
I shoot from the hip.
Not a mumble do I grumbled,
Nor backstabbing gossiped hits.
I'm not one to leave you wondering...
What's on my mind,
Not a bit.
I don't hide my words,
When I choose to be heard.
If you want to get it straight.
I shoot from the hip.
Without a moment of delay.
I say it I don't spit.
If it's not liked how it is,
That's your business...
I'm not pissed.
Nor will you leave me in a fit.
To quiver with shut lips.
If you want to get it quick.
I shoot from the hip.
Not a mumble do I grumbled,
Nor pout and sit.
I'm not the kind to leave you wondering,
What's on my mind to admit!
Or suggest you see a psychic...
To tell you what you want and like it!
If you want to get it quick.
I shoot from the hip.
I'm not the kind to leave you wondering,
What's on my mind to admit!
If it's not liked as it is...
I'm not the kind to get pissed.
I'll deliver what I give you,
And that is it!
'So you're sayin' you do what? '
I shoot from the hip.
'What about the ears of others?
I shoot from the hip.
'What if they should have druthers? '
I said I shoot from the hip.
If they don't want to hear it,
Like it is from my lips...
They can turn around and I will kick them,
Where they are split!
Not a mumble do I grumbled.
I shoot from the hip.
No stumble do I fumble on...
I shoot from the hip!
If it's not liked how it is,
I will not get pissed.
Nor will I leave you quietly,
To quiver with shut lips.

You've Been Spoiled
Yes.
You've been spoiled.
And I...
No longer guess...
I am the reason and cause of it.
From the very beginning,
When I gifted you...
With my best 'anyone' could get.
And delivered that to you,
So happy you were.
And to me that was expressed.
Yes.
You've been spoiled.
And I...
No longer guess...
I am the reason and cause of it.
I feel it each time,
When you rush to find...
What it is I've left.
Believing it easy and simple for me...
To create for you something great.
Something to leave your mind teased and pleased.
You've been spoiled and that is because of me!
And now my very best...
Gets less of your attention,
With your inquisitive curiousness.
Now you get upset with a disrespect...
If you find an undotted 'i' or an uncrossed 't',
As you closely inspect.
Yes.
You've been spoiled.
And I...
No longer guess...
I am the reason and cause of it.
I am the reason,
You now mumble your indignities...
To me,
Under your breath!

Because You Are The Star Of The Universe, The Only One
we do not try that hard
enough
reality has muscles of its
own
when it sees us tired
and rotten
it begins to show its hands
to take us for
a ride
its feet pedaling with the wheels
of beautiful truths
in the gardens of this
universe
it is then when we become the
tourists
simply looking and enjoying
what reality
shows us
so relax, do not overwork yourself
with some chosen words
let the words do the trick
they are your slaves not your masters
let the chair stand on its own legs
move towards you
and then you sit as the windows open
themselves
as the sun finally arrives as the mountains
grow the trees and the greenest grass
so appeasing to your eyes
spectator, the star of the universe
the most important mortal
the chosen creature

God Made Your Lips
God made your lips for me to kiss. Your hands for me to hold.
God made your smile for me to miss and treasure more than gold.
God made your ears so I could tell how beautiful you are.
God made your eyes to cast a spell, no matter, near or far.
God made your arms to hold me tight each time before I leave.
God made your legs to stir delight like Adam saw in Eve.
God made your doubts to fade away, for years have come and gone.
God made your joys thank Him each day our love goes on and on.
God made your heart a lot like mine - hold fast to what God says.
God made you my sweet Valentine, you're always in my prayers.
God made your mind, your memories, your dreams and all you're worth.
God made you precious so you'd please the luckiest man on Earth!
God made your blessings one by one and when I look at you,
I wonder what great thing I've done that you should love me, too.

Have None Of It
If anyone that has been invited in your space,
Disrespects you and your space while they are in it...
They need to leave.
If your peace of mind has been threatened,
By anyone you have let in...
They need to leave.
Especially if they feel that comfortable,
To upset your environment...
With an immaturity their insecurities,
Are focused to set upon you,
With a wish to bring an intent to cause you grief.
They need to leave.
And you without apology must do this!
Request without attitude and insist.
Since folks come to spew their venom,
To enhance their own lack of peace...
Missing within them.
Clear the air and sweep away this sickness.
Do it quick.
Have none of it.
It has to leave!
This polluted air shared,
Is not yours to breathe.
Know it has to leave.
'People like that will always use others,
To enhance their point of view...
At the expense of someone believed to be,
Accepting of their ignorance.
And their ability to hide behind excuses made.
No one should feel victimized by them.
Let them know who you are.
And you have no tolerance for that BS! '

Shall we dance, In a trance, Lost to the beat, So complete, It rolls through your head, Nothing need be said,
Just dance away, Just dance away, Dance away the whole damn day,

Immortal
What is immortality to me?
It's a chance again to breathe so free,
never to be inundated with worldly pain,
always to know how to remain
at peace with myself no matter where
and speak no words except for prayer.
We people of this earth cannot conceive
and probably never will believe
in a warless existence that comes alive
where peace and love for all does thrive.
We have walked this earth too many times.
We will leave the graves and we'll hear the chimes.
And we will survive.
I am immortal and so are you.
We'll leave all falseness and find what's true.
We won't have to wonder who we are.
We'll understand that we're not too far
from every place we've ever been
and from every place that's filled with sin.
We have lived many times and then we died.
But still we rose again with pride.
We will leave that pride, leave it behind
and as we leave it we will find
everything that we've ever sought
and all the things that were ever thought.
We will finally know we're immortal.

The Overnight Aging That Arrives
Ugly doesn't seem to care,
How early in the morning it is found on one's face.
And the entire body,
Feels as if it is being renovated.
With a work in progress taking place.
This aging process is done with more than just grace!
First a reaquaintance slowly begins.
To introduce a youthful mind,
To the 'vessel' that mind refuses to be trapped in.
Then an acceptible reality is encouraged,
With a tolerance one has to respect.
If this is not done with a kindness that reflects...
Folks who happen to see you publicly,
Will say what is believed one expects...
'You look SO good!
For 'your' age.
Not at all like you're ready for the grave.'
~Uh...
Thank you!
For the compliment?
I know what you meant.
I guess.~
And one feels inside someone has lied!
Especially when one knows how long it takes,
Of late...
To get ugly from taking a much longer ride.
With a regimen of ointments and pain killers,
To mask those aches one does not pride!
In the mornings when it is no longer safe,
For even one to find a place to hide...
From the 'overnight' aging that arrives!
And the time it takes for those aches to subside.

Selectively Limited
When I give...
It is from within me,
That is done!
When I speak...
Not a bush do I beat,
Like some may do and run.
My purpose has been made very clear.
And those who fear,
Make excuses heard...
Far and near.
When I give...
It is from within me,
That is done!
When I speak...
Not a bush do I beat,
Like some may do and run.
Protecting insecurities.
No eye contact made to greet...
Those they pass on familiar streets.
I am happiest when others live lives of truth.
It is difficult to face it.
It was for me.
But denial kept me abused and confused.
And when I refused deception of all kinds...
I began to speak from my heart.
And found 'peace' to be a friend of mine.
Although I do admit,
My contact with some folks...
Has been selectively limited.

The Ritual Of Leaving
leave before you
decide to say the words
unkind
say not
the words that hurt
they have no hands
to hold you
let leaving be simple
let goodbye
be the sigh of love
if you have a single tear
hide it inside your eyelid
if you have some regrets
keep then in your pockets
as you step out of the house
let the bangs be on
your hair
not the door
put up a little smile for the road
feel the falling leaf from a tree
cross this threshold
and then wave on the coming bus
step in there immediately
sit on the front
and never, never look back to
the face of the past
leave that wound alone
and let it heal with time
in the solitude of
its own understanding

Untie My Tongue
Untie my tongue.
Let me speak what it is I feel.
Reveal it from its depth...
Upon surfaces unknown.
To be shown with sincerety.
And a calm and ease of breath.
The peace resting within me,
I seek to be released.
No longer do I accept escapes...
To hide or deny my wish to be freed!
Let me speak what it is I feel.
Untie my tongue...
To share what I have been able to overcome.
With someone there...
Who will hear and know,
My voice!
