His Line In The Sand (Fun Poem 133)
For Sara Feilder
Who suggested the first line.
The stiff backed man
drew his line in the sand
to hold back the encroaching tide.
He failed just like King Canute
and got his feet all wet.
He then looked at the sea angrily and said.
"You were supposed to stop at my line,
not go beyond it and soak my feet."
The sea replied with a stronger wave
that washed up over his shoes to his knees.
With that, the stiff backed man
made his retreat further back up the shore
well out of reach of the sea.
The moral of this story,
the sea and tide waits on no man
and if you do not want to get wet feet
stand back well out of its way.

My Bionic Eyes
I love my bionic eyes
I love my crystal vision
If there's anybody out there
Baby I'm not gonna miss 'em
I watch the years go by
These are the same old guys I never had any use for
Beyond the feeling of pleasure
Or the thrill of the fight
I scored again last night
I said thanks for the drinks, nice party
Then I turned out the light
I've got timing and attitude
That can get to the baddest dude
That's when I hypnotize them
With my bionic eyes
As I got older I had to step out of the lines
And make up my own mind
As I got light as a feather they got stiff as a board
I can't feel any more, but I can fake it forever

A Lucid Dream Escape
I had a lucid dream
Not certain of waking or sleeping
I was inside another dream
Yet I was not sure of anything.
I tried to move my numb hands
Limp and paralyzed stiff
I tried unfeeling legs to stand
But I can't even move my lips.
My mind broke in a silent shout
As my eyes in quick vivid view
Scanned the darkened room about
If I was dreaming I had no clue.
Then pressure rested on my chest
And hardened breathing started
Gasping now, escaped that rest
I took in air and the dream had ended.
