Key to Your Peace

Slim chance you'll find your pot of gold,
With the purchase of a lottery ticket sold.
You hold everything you need right there.
Don't look around...
Look inside if you dare!

Rabbit's foot OR crytals rubbed...
Four-leaf clovers OR black cats snubbed!
Lucky charms OR psychic 'sights'!
If you really want a restful sleep at night!
Know you're the key to your peace!

Sweet and Soft Whispers

I may not be a bit psychic...
But I know it's there.
That love inside you fight.
With a wish I might like it.

No, I may not be a psychic...
But that fragrance you wear is in the air.
You want to give me a chance.
To cuddle up and romance.

I believe you want me alone.
To claim and have me as your own.
You want me close enough to hear...
Those sweet and soft whispers in my ear.

And I may not be a bit psychic.
But I know it is there.
That love inside you fighting to appear.
With a wish that I might like it.
And have it in my arms to hold it near.

Oh...
Your excitement you try to hide.
But I know it's there.
And not that deep inside.
And I just may keep it a secret...
Until you make me aware.

I may not be a psychic...
But I know what you feel,
For me...
Is there!

A bitter pill implies where I belong

I signed the back of a lottery ticket, filled the name and address clearly.
The night is sleeping but still I am awake in a Gas station to fulfill the boisterous vehicles.
I hear a whisper in my decaying wallet.
'Hey! Dear this is not the winning ticket exactly but a day would be appeared and bring you the lucky chance soon.' The lottery muttered.
After a lazy yawn I speak to myself;
'Nowadays the papers talk much while the poor people shut their mouths as nothing to put in for digest.'

Lottery Ticket

'A ticket for the lottery
I've purchased every week,' said she
'For years a score
Though desperately poor am I,
Oh how I've scrimped and scraped to buy
One chance more.

Each week I think I'll gain the prize,
And end my sorrows and my sighs,
For I'll be rich;
Then nevermore I'll eat bread dry,
With icy hands to cry and cry
And stitch and stitch.'

'Tis true she won the premier prize;
It was of formidable size,
Ten million francs.
I know, because the man who sold
It to her splenically told
He got no thanks.

The lucky one was never found,
For she was snugly underground,
And minus breath;
And with that ticket tucked away,
In some old stocking, so they say,
She starved to death.

Performance and Stamina

Cool with life and free of superstitions,
Four leaf clovers, rabbit feet...
And free flights of fancy.

She said I had 'captured wisdom' in my eyes.
As she turned down my request for a date,
To ask if I knew her grandfather!
It just so happened I did.
When we both were kids.

Cool with life and free of superstitions
Four leaf clovers, rabbit feet...
And free flights of fancy.
Most of the times.

People say I shouldn't admit to being 60.
That I should say to everyone I'm 45!
I feel so blessed I'd confess anything to who I meet.
Rejecting me because of my age,
Is such a foolish thing!

'Rejecting me because of my age,
Is such a foolish thing! '

After much practice...
I'd say that to someone.
Only to hear the other one say,
What they want, how they do it
With expectations along the way!
Preferences and club hangouts.
Using cellphones to give a brief shout out!
And lapses of memory in mid sentence.
Asking then again what I said.
And, 'What was that age you mentioned?
I'm sorry I wasn't paying you any attention! '

Cool with life and free of superstitions,
Four leaf clovers, rabbit feet...
And free flights of fancy.

And if you actually believe that...
You too suffer from 'captured wisdom'!
Have a cup of tea
And recall all of those memories you had...
Trapping that captured 'stuff'.
Remember it well.
Being interviewed for performance and stamina,
Was not the issue then!

Wanted To The Point Of Agitation

Hope is much like faith,
But on steroids.
When there is an extra boost to faith needed,
All the stops are pulled out!
And every prop within reach is used.

The 4-leaf clovers.
Rabbit's foot.
The crossing of fingers...
And the calling of 'phychics' come into play.
When something is wanted to the point of agitation...
All tactics are considered and tried.

The Buckskin Bag of Gold

Last night I met him on the train--
A man with lovely eyes;
And he gave me a searching glance
Of sweet charm'd surprise!
I knew 'twas he the lady meant,
Who once my fortune told,
By his jet black eyes, his grand moustache,
And his buckskin bag of gold.

Yes! (Ha! ha!) Yes! (ha! ha!) his is the man
Who does your fortune hold!
He has jet black eyes, a grand moustache,
And a buckskin bag of gold.
Tall! (Ha! ha!) slim! (ha! ha!) quick as a flash!
And twenty two years old;
He has jet black eyes, his grand moustache,
And his buckskin bag of gold.

The dearest man you ever saw
How much I love him now!
And if I should live a thousand years,
No other hears my vow.
Like Judas--no, like Jupiter,
He look'd so brave and bold,
With his jet black eyes, his grand moustache,
And his buckskin bag of gold.

Sweet boy bring me the "Morning Call"
Perchance I'll find his name;
At the "Grand Hotel" he must have stopp'd,
I wonder when he came!
He must have charm'd those Lumpkin girls,
So haughty, proud and cold,
By his jet black eyes, his grand mousetache,
And his buckskin bag of gold.

How can I seek a name unknown?
Oh, tell me where he went!
What is this I read! why Papa's bank
Is robb'd of ev'ry cent!
The thief, it seems, left town last night,
Well, well! I'm nicely sold!
He had jet black eyes, his grand mousetache,
And his buckskin bag of gold.

Sonnet7

The sky is wide, but not so wide, my dear
a bird can't find my head to void upon
The earth is broad, but not so broad I fear
my foot can't find a load to happen in.
Carefully selected from its peers
the rose I've chosen always hides a bee.
Umbrellas guarantee the weather clears
forgetting one, a shower bodes for me.
After standing hours in the cold
the ticket window closes in my face
All that I considered to be gold
actually, they tell me now, was dross.
Things are, you can plainly, bad, see-
it may be time to play the lottery.

All Night To Know You

(stuart emerson)
Producer for bonnie: stuart emerson
I think time and motion just stood still
I feel like the hours are there to kill
Now for the first time in my life
I am right where I wanna be
Im closing the door on what I used to be
Now for the first time in my life
I have to hold on
The feelings too strong
I shake like a leaf
I tremble inside
Its gonna take, all night to know
All night to know, all night to know you well
Its gonna take, all night to know you
All night to know you, all night to know you
Inside the room its cold and dark
The nightime wont sleep till we give our hearts
Now for the first time in my life
I have to hold on
The feelings too strong
I shake like a leaf
I tremble inside
Its gonna take, all night to know
All night to know ,all night to know you well
Its gonna take, all night to know you
All night to know you, all night to know you
All night to know you
Its gonna take, all night to know
All night to know, all night to know you well
Its gonna take, all night to know you
All night to know you, all night to know you

7 Cats of the Cobblestone

7 cats came calling.
7 cats they be.

7 cats came calling
for
a
spot
of
tea.

7 cups
7 saucers
berries
brie
and
clotted cream.

A light fare for 7 cats
7 cats they be.

7 cats
7 names
introduced to us.

One was black and white
the other calico.

Two tabbies sat at the hearth
three more we will get to know.

Lagging behind
we did find
peculiar
ginger cat.

Next to stroll in
cat named Vincent Van Gogh
and Siam,
white as fallen snow.

Kit Kat
Chi Chi
took milk with tea.

Miss Cleo and Rosy savoring dessert.

Duke of course
curious sort
sat out
upon
the stoop.
With no warning
came storming in
last to introduce.

After tea
and light fare
cat nap they did sleep.

7 cats came calling
7 cats we keep.
7 cats of the Cobblestone
7 cats they be.

Good Luck Charm

(words & music by aaron schroeder - wally gold)
Dont want a four leaf clover
Dont want an old horse shoe
Want your kiss cause I just cant miss
With a good luck charm like you
Come on and be my little good luck charm
Uh-huh huh, you sweet delight
I want a good luck charm
A-hanging on my arm
To have, to have, to hold, to hold tonight
Dont want a silver dollar
Rabbits foot on a string
The happiness in your warm caress
No rabbits foot can bring
Come on and be my little good luck charm
Uh-huh huh, you sweet delight
I want a good luck charm
A-hanging on my arm
To have, to have, to hold, to hold tonight
If I found a lucky penny
Id toss it across the bay
Your love is worth all the gold on earth
No wonder that I say
Come on and be my little good luck charm
Uh-huh huh, you sweet delight
I want a good luck charm
A-hanging on my arm
To have, to have, to hold, to hold tonight

Lucky Lips

Dah dup dap dap dup dah dup dah dah
Dup dah dup dah dah dup oh_
When I was just a little baby
I didnt have many toys
But my momma used to say son, you got
More than other boys
Now you may not be good looking and you may not
Be too rich
But youll never ever be alone
cos youve got lucky lips
Lucky lips are always kissing
Lucky lips are never blue
Lucky lips will always find a pair of lips so true
I dont need a four leaf clover
Rabbits foot or good luck charm
With lucky lips youll always have a baby
In your arms

Peace, Be Not Proud

Peace, Be Not Proud (A Reverse Davidian)

Evasive Peace, be not proud
That world's entire wealth can't purchase you.
Perhaps you'll not be bought for silver, gold,
Saphires, rubies, pearls and diamonds too.
But dare you say, for LOVE you won't be sold?

Evasive Peace, be not proud
That high you dwell, atop a towering tor!
Like Bruce's spider, ceaselessly we will
Try to heave ourselves right up to your door
By scaling, inch by inch, your craggy hill!

Evasive Peace, be not proud
That none can see or hear you; so no clue
We have to track you down. But we can feel
Your presence versus present absence too:
Suffices this, your hide-out to reveal!

Evasive Peace, be not proud
That you, At'lanta-like, can keep mocking
Your chasers all for whom you're much too fast!
Like shrewd Hippom'nese, your pathway blocking
With 'golden apples', win we shall, at last!

Market Square

I had a penny,
A bright new penny,
I took my penny
To the market square.
I wanted a rabbit,
A little brown rabbit,
And I looked for a rabbit
'Most everywhere.

For I went to the stall where they sold sweet lavender
("Only a penny for a bunch of lavender!").
"Have you got a rabbit, 'cos I don't want lavender?"
But they hadn't got a rabbit, not anywhere there.

I had a penny,
And I had another penny,
I took my pennies
To the market square.
I did want a rabbit,
A little baby rabbit,
And I looked for rabbits
'Most everywhere.

And I went to the stall where they sold fresh mackerel
("Now then! Tuppence for a fresh-caught mackerel!").
"Have you got a rabbit, 'cos I don't like mackerel?"
But they hadn't got a rabbit, not anywhere there.

I found a sixpence,
A little white sixpence.
I took it in my hand
To the market square.
I was buying my rabbit
I do like rabbits),
And I looked for my rabbit
'Most everywhere.

So I went to the stall where they sold fine saucepans
("Walk up, walk up, sixpence for a saucepan!").
"Could I have a rabbit, 'cos we've got two saucepans?"
But they hadn't got a rabbit, not anywhere there.

I had nuffin',
No, I hadn't got nuffin',
So I didn't go down
To the market square;
But I walked on the common,
The old-gold common...
And I saw little rabbits
'Most everywhere!

So I'm sorry for the people who sell fine saucepans,
I'm sorry for the people who sell fresh mackerel,
I'm sorry for the people who sell sweet lavender,
'Cos they haven't got a rabbit, not anywhere there!

Rub Offs

People buy those rub off tickets.
I see 'em on the ground.
I don't buy those rub off tickets
but there was one I found.

I rubbed it off and won ten bucks
so I went and bought two more
and when I rubbed them off again
I went back in the store.

The lady said, 'You've won big money
What are you gonna do? '
I said to her 'What's big money'
She answered '10 thousand for you.'

So I bought ten thousand tickets
and rubbed 'em off all day.
And not even one was a winner
so I went on my way.

Money comes and money goes.
That's how it is for me.
So if I find another ticket
I'll give it away for free.

Can Not Be Bought To Purchase

The finding of a peace within,
Comes as a blessing one can not explain.
And...
Becomes a feeling known one wishes not to change.
Anyone wanting to give their peace of mind away...
Either has too much of it.
Or afraid others might find them crazy!

And this is a possibility.
Since a peace felt within...
Is often interpreted as being self centered.
And if it is?
Few with a deserved and earned peace of mind,
Are going to care less how others address it.

Very, very few are going to show this as a concern.
Unless the living in bliss becomes too much to handle.
And as of yet...
No one has been arrested for experiencing too much joy!

To have peace within is a happening,
That can not be bought to purchase.
Nor can the value of it be priced to sell.
One's soul that has been sold on keeping it,
Can find nothing else that qualifies...
A reason why the ridding of it would be a thought.

Blessed and not confused about it!
Not at all.
No longer chasing rainbows,
Rabbit feet or four leaf clovers.
Those days are over!
Clinging onto something divine...
And most captivating!
It supplies a driving 'will' that fulfills!
Half full at all times.
Free of draining illusions,
Or misconceptions.
Available 24/7!
It ain't heaven yet...
But it is a damn good preview!

I Got Lucky

(words & music by fuller - weisman - wise)
Never found a four leaf clover to bring good luck to me
No rabbits foot no lucky star no magic wishing tree
But I got lucky, yes I got lucky
When I found you, oh yeah!
Got no rainbow around my shoulder, no horseshoe on my door
But I got you to hold me tight and who could ask for more
Oh I got lucky, yes I got lucky
When I found you,
I always walk around with all my fingers crossed
Im afraid the love I found just might get lost
So wont you tell me that you love me, hurry up and name the day
And then Ill know that my good luck is really here to stay
Oh I got lucky, yes I got lucky
When I found you
I always walk around with all my fingers crossed
Im afraid the love I found just might get lost
So wont you tell me that you love me, hurry up and name the day
And then Ill know that my good luck is really here to stay

Play In The Sunshine

Oooh doggies!
We wanna play in the sunshine
We wanna be free
Without the help of a margarita or exstacy
We wanna kick like we used 2
Sign up on the dotted line
We gonna dance every dance
Like its gonna be the last time
We got 2 play in the sunshine
Turn all the lights up 2 10
I want 2 meet u (meet u), kiss u (kiss u),
Love u (love u), and miss u (miss u)
Do it all over again, do it all over again
We gonna play in the sunshine
Were gonna get over
Im feelin kind of lucky 2 night
Im gonna find my 4-leaf clover
Before my life is done
Some way, some how, Im gonna have fun
Play in the sunshine
We gonna love all our enemies
Till the gorilla falls off the wall
Were gonna rock him
Were gonna roll him
Were gonna teach him that love will make him tall (somehow)
Aah, pop goes the music
When the big white rabbit begin 2 talk
And the color green will make your best friends leave ya
It will make them do the walk
But thats cool
Cuz one day, everyday will be a yellow day
And lets play
We gonna play in the sunshine
Were gonna get over
Im feelin kind of lucky 2 night
Im gonna find my 4-leaf clover
Before my life is done
Some way, some how, Im gonna have fun
Play, play, play, play, play, play, play
