In Relentless 'Me-Me-I' Relationships
I see you there aware and perfect.
With not a blemish hidden,
To deform what God gives.
I see you challenged with a missing limb.
And not a burden shown,
To diminish the Sun beaming on your grin.
I see your eyes invite me inside,
To share meaningful thoughts with you.
And I accept quickly your hospitality.
Rare that it is when so many are involved,
In relentless 'me-me-I' relationships!
And themselves so deeply involved and committed.

Involved
No light shines so bright within some people.
You can tell those from others...
Who shy away from consciousness,
As if it is a burden of a thinking process
They have selected not to have.
Those with 'light'...
There is a 'willingness' to learn,
That is present in their eyes.
'Something' gives feedback that life is being involved.
It flickers from inside of them!
It sparks!
It glows.
And it is apparent they are here to enjoy the experience.
Everything done they do becomes an exchange of attractions.
They are 'involved'.
And they may not be aware of it at all!
It seems out of place,
To hear a complaint come from them.
That is rare.
Like observing a comet for the very first time.

I have been a Christian all my life, but it's impossible to be so deeply involved in these stories without it making you think again, and without it making you consciously aware of the people involved.

Problem Solver
If we stuck by the rules,
To ensure they're obeyed...
I can be,
A problem solver.
You can be,
A problem solver.
We could all be problem solvers,
If we got to be involved.
I can be,
A problem solver.
You can be,
A problem solver.
We could all be problem solvers,
If we got to be involved.
Troubles would diminish...
If we all got now involved.
Anguishing would disappear...
If it was not thought a job,
To be labored then be robbed!
Troubles would diminish...
If we all got now involved.
Anguishing would disappear...
If it was not thought a job,
To be labored then be robbed!
If we stuck by the rules,
To ensure they're obeyed...
Oh I can be,
A problem solver.
You can be,
A problem solver.
We could all be problem solvers,
If we got to be involved.
Troubles would diminish...
If we all got now involved.
Anguishing would disappear...

We could all be problem solvers,
If we got to be involved.

Less Tongue
Isn't always a 'they' involved?
A group of nameless faces.
We blame as a resolve.
To escape our guilts...
And flaws,
With the pimples and the blemishes.
Isn't it always a 'they' involved?
Some unknown entity to blame.
When something 'affects' our peace?
And that monster inside of us heats.
We seek places to go...
To get it whipped and/or beatened.
Either for the attention of it...
Or to satisfy masochistic pleasures.
Which is it?
And it is always a 'they' involved,
Doing it better.
And doing it because they want it in return...
With it done even better than it was given.
With a lot less tongue!

Love at first sight
Love at first sight: the soul is involved.
Love at second sight: the body is involved.
Love in subsequent sights: the heart is involved,
Love in a number of sights: the brain is involved.

Where Were You When That Happened?
It has already been tried.
Whatever it is you think you do.
Or believed done.
To yourself or someone,
Else
Involved involuntarily.
It has already been tried.
To cast vacant innocent eyes,
To hide behind another masquerade.
'We can't both be in the same Milky Way?
Why would I not be aware of the obvious?
You must be filming this for your archive collection.
Labelled, 'Repeated Scenes In Unconvincing Color''
It has already been tried.
Whatever it is you think you do.
Or believed done.
To yourself or someone,
Else
Involved involuntarily.
'Why do you think I have this smile on my face?
Because I am happy to see you?
I am more amused than happy.
But then again,
I'm happily amused.
So much has changed!
And I wonder...
Where were you when that happened? '

Shadow Of Fear
I walk through camden town in the evening,
Strolling silently and hardly breathing.
Footsteps behind me slightly quicker,
The corner of my eye a shadowy flicker.
I wonder if hes after my soul again tonight.
Stops to whisper with the shadows but still keeps me in his sight.
I shout at passing strangers but they dont seem aware,
Dont want to get involved in my spiritual affair.
Tonight my fears are growing worse and worse.
I feel him brewing up an evil curse.
I sense a chill creep up my spine
I want to scream but only whine
Because I know it cant be true
Minds gone now legs its up to you.
I wonder if hes after my soul again tonight.
Stops to whisper in the shadows but still keeps me in his sight.
I shout at passing strangers but they dont seem aware,
Dont want to get involved in my spititual affair
I try to accept him as my partner.
He still makes cold his manic laughter.
But every time I try to turn around he throws my fears
And makes no sound he stirs them to the ground.
Acheing muscles, puff and pant I run.
To stagger home and hide behind my mum.
But even when Im safely in my bed.
I know that he is waiting in my head.
I wonder if hes after my soul again tonight.
Stops to whisper in the shadows but still keeps me in his sight.
I shout at passing strangers but they dont seem aware,
Dont want to get involved in my spiritual affair.

When Intentions Meant Are Not Mentioned
Can we share thoughts without speaking?
And how can that be validated?
If neither of us are near,
To appreciate what we hear?
No emotion I've known to feel,
Has ever been exchanged.
To have someone understand,
And comprehend...
From the outside to the inside.
Knowing what is felt,
Deep within.
Can love be shared and said is there,
But not expressed at all?
Can a broken heart be spared despair?
To not process pain,
Before any tears begin to fall?
And if those tears should fall from eyes,
Could alibis stop what is shown?
Empathy sent from distances given,
Isn't empathy whispered or a hug to convince.
Can we share thoughts without speaking?
And how can that be validated?
If neither of us are near to appreciate this...
Or witness a difference made.
When intentions meant are not mentioned...
Can relationships mend to save?

Perfect
There's a really pretty girl I know,
Twas talking with her not too long ago.
Now she's seems quiet as can be;
But today she really startled me.
She actually talked quite a bit
And apparently her nose was too big!
Now I've read before that there's things,
That we'd change if we had one magic wish.
I'd personally like to be taller and thinner
With not such a wide grin.
But it got me think ‘bout how we see ourself,
And how I see myself.
I realise now that God made me unique.
He made me, then he broke that mold quick.
I began to realise that often others see
A different side of me:
Cause what I saw was a beautiful girl
With no other match in the world.
What she saw was imperfection,
But I could only see perfection.
I saw the beauty, she saw scars.
Perhaps that's just the way we are.
So I wanted to take the time to share,
Something special and rare.
Twill always be more room to grow-
To be something better than you now know.
But you were made just right,
By Someone who watches o'er you day and night.
So I thought I'd let you know right now,
You're perfect the way you are:
Every blemish n' every scar.
Perfect the way you are.

Burden
Always a do or die situation
You can only see in black and white
But you never thought, never thought that I'd be
A little different this time, and
Not every color that you will see
Is the real one every time
Let me clue you in on complexity
And everybody is so very fine
And I didn't mean to be a burden
Just thought I'd share a little light
But I thought you needed to know something
Something that comes from the inside
Something that comes from the inside
And as you wasted time playing detective
Is it to figure out my mystery?
Well let me tell you now that I'm no secret
'Cause I can sin before you righteously
And I didn't mean to be a burden
Just thought I'd share a little light
But I thought you needed to know something
Something that comes from the inside
Something that comes from the inside
Something that comes from the inside
Don't grow bored too quickly
I haven't finished yet
I know it must be painful
To hear what's left unsaid
Don't refuse
It's no use
You can not run from this
Just sit still
And listen
Listen to all you missed
But it's always a do or die situation
You can only see in black and white
But you never thought, never thought that I'd be
A little different this time
And I didn't mean to be a burden
Just thought I'd share a little light
But I thought you needed to know something
Something that comes from the inside
Something that comes from the inside
Something that comes from the inside

Unconditionally Involved
I want your hands,
On me...
To touch.
And intimately.
I want your mind,
Understanding...
And patient.
As I would be,
With you.
And...
When with you,
I need to feel...
Unconditionally involved.
And when with you,
I want it known...
There's no other love like ours.
I want your hands,
On me...
To touch.
And intimately.
I want your mind,
Understanding...
And patient.
As I would be,
With you.
And...
When with you,
I need to feel...
Unconditionally involved.
And when with you,
I want it known...
There's no other love like ours.
And when with you,
I want it known...
There's no other love like ours.
And...
When with you,
I need to feel...
We are,
Unconditionally involved.
Yes I want us,
Unconditionally involved.
And I need us,
To know we can get our problems solved.
And...
When with you,
I want it shown...
How we love.

Of 'That' Because Of Them, Now and How!
You seem so calm, cool and collected!
Aren't you concerned?
'About what, why, whom and when? '
Of 'that' because of them, now and how!
'Wow!
No...
I am not.
I use to be upset about all of it.
And yet...
You seem to have all of it separated in categories.
I have never been that involved.
Not to dissect it to be inspected.
Unlike you,
I am blessed not to be that affected.
Wow!
You make me feel even more proud,
That I did not allow myself to get 'that' involved.
Where is your peace? '
Of what?
Pieces of anything I had to give up!
'Wow!
You make me feel even more proud,
That I did not allow myself to get 'that' involved.'

I think for anything to change, in the real world, people have got to change on the inside and that's what we want to start, to get people to think and do more themselves and get involved in whatever they want to get involved with.

My Eyes Have You In Them Too Much!
My eyes have you in them too much!
I catch myself in vacant stares.
Becoming helpless and aware I am noticed...
Being out of focus.
My eyes have you in them too much!
My eyes have you in them too much,
Too soon.
Too quick you've managed to interfere,
With my routine.
Too sudden to me it seems you are there.
Or here,
Or...
Wherever you are,
Doing this.
Or that!
Or...
Whatever this is,
Beginning an entrapment.
Yes,
I am feeling like that!
A victim of a mental snack.
My eyes have you in them too much!
And I am not quite sure as to why!
But then...
I'm not quite sure when this started.
My eyes have you in them too much!
And...
I am doing my best,
Not to get my heart involved.
And yet...
If it was,
Would you be there to care...
My eyes have you in them too much,
Everywhere!

It Shows
Misleading others to believe,
Things that are not true.
Will never create a healing wished.
No matter what is done,
By those who do things like this,
When they do!
A lie is a lie.
No matter how small or tall!
An integrity of someone is involved.
And of course...
God knows the truth involved in it all.
And guilt self inflicted,
Isn't easy to hide inside those wicked.
It shows!

As They Prepare And Await
As they prepare and await to have a confrontation,
Those who have been aware of this...
Have paid them no attention.
None that threatens,
Other motivated intentions.
So they continue to pretend,
Not to notice them.
And since there is a higher consciousness involved,
Those wishing to dissolve their hidden insecurities...
Prove they are clueless,
As to what they should do next...
To further undermine themselves with an undressing,
Of their immaturity and limitations they can not leave.
At least to keep protected from an obviousness.
'What are they doing over there? '
~The obvious.~
'But shouldn't 'they' be aware of it? '
~Yes.
They should.
But apparently not from our point of view.~
'I have an idea.'
~What is it? ~
'Let's pretend with hints we are concerned.'

Life Is Too Meaningful
Life is too meaningful.
Too precious an experience,
To waste or quicken it.
Each moment of it given...
Is as fresh as those last moments passed.
It's not always a funfest.
Some seriousness is needed.
And misdeeds confessed put to rest!
Harboring anger and bitterness...
Makes little sense to defend.
Life is too meaningful.
Too precious an experience,
To waste or quicken it.
Each moment of it given...
Is as fresh as those last moments passed.
There are those who sit in a stubbornness.
Unwilling and unbending.
And putting an end to their own progress.
Hoping to find someone to understand their whins.
But no one takes that time to comprehend.
People have their own issues...
And many with no one who they can depend.
And with or without anyone involved...
It comes as we know it!
And leaves us when it does,
To another place...
No one can now say,
They have been shown!
Life is too meaningful.
Too precious an experience,
To waste or quicken it.
Or to live it in conflicts unsolved,
To sit in misery to share or flaunt to flourish.
For purposes to discourage,
With the smothering of any good intention!

Too Much Monkey Business
Running to and fro,
Hard working at the mill,
Never failed at the mill,
There come a rotten bill.
Aw too much monkey business,
Too much monkey business,
Too much monkey business
For me to be involved again.
Salesman talking to me,
Trying to run me up a creek,
Says you can buy it, go on try it,
You can pay me next week.
Aw too much monkey business,
Too much monkey business,
Too much monkey business
For me to be involved again.
Blonde hair, good-looking,
Trying to get me hooked and married
Get a home, settle down by the book.
Too much monkey business,
Too much monkey business,
Too much monkey business
For me to be involved again.
Been to yokohama, baby,
Fighting in the war,
Army bunk, army chow,
Army clothes, army car.
Too much monkey business,
Too much monkey business,
Too much monkey business
For me to be involved again.
Same thing every day,
Getting up, going to school.
No need for me complaining,
My objection's overruled.
Aw too much monkey business,
Too much monkey business,
Too much monkey business
For me to be involved again.
Working in the filling station,
Too many tasks,
Wipe the windows, check the oil,
Check the tires, dollar gas?
Aw too much monkey business,
Too much monkey business
Don't want you by the race,
Get away and leave me.
[original has one more verse:
Pay-phone, something's wrong,
Dime gone, will mail.
Oughta sue the operator
For telling me a tale.
Too much monkey business,
Too much monkey business,
Too much monkey business
For me to be involved with you

What They Do Best
They complain of a lack of involvement,
But have chosen to qualify those
Who wish to become involved.
And when no one wants to become involved...
They complain of a lack of involvement,
But have chosen to qualify those
Who wish to become involved.
And when no one wants to become involved...
They complain of a lack of involvement,
But have chosen to qualify those
Who wish to become involved.
And those who are involved...
Have no qualifications to qualify anyone!
And that's what they do best!
