I Will Remind Him Of It
These days as I age,
To feel blessed to experience...
A noticeable ache not there before,
To greet me as I awaken.
Sine the furthest thing from my mind,
Is attempting to recapture a youthful appearance...
With a magic wand and assistance,
I will never again find as quickly as I had in the past.
If I can get out of bed and go through my daily routine,
Of taking a shower after stretching and exercising...
That alone has become the only event I wish to accomplish,
BEFORE anyone has had a chance to witness...
Unbelievable miracles I perform without them being seen.
Geeessshhh.
Who could that be at this hour of the morning?
Knocking on the door.
Maybe it is that beautiful woman who lives next door.
And has come to confess undying love she has for me.
Maybe there is still hope.
One moment please.
'Oh.
I'm sorry to disturb you.
I was looking for Larry.
Does he still live here? '
Yes he does.
I am his great grandfather.
He should be back later this evening.
'Oh, okay.
I'll see him then.'
You sure will.
If God has anything to do with it.
'You're funny.
I can see where he gets his sense of humor.'
I will remind him of it.
The moment he arrives.

One Has to Get Up Before Dawn
I want to grey.
I want it known I have aged,
And earned my way.
I want it clear I am no child.
I have been around for a while!
Learning and hoping I am improved.
Those who wish to sit and revisit their youth...
Are fine with me.
I do that all the time myself.
When I am out walking and hiking.
Exercising and watching what I eat.
And not being conscious of aging at all.
I did that in my teens and twenties!
Wanting to be grown and doing it quickly.
And when 59 came?
Who knew I would feel 39 at 61?
Passing for someone aged 55!
And lieing that I am yet 50 years of age.
But when one keeps fit...
That's the fun of it all!
No one has to know I look like Godzilla,
In the early hours of the morning.
Just before dawn.
And that's what I recommend.
Getting up just before dawn.
Taking at least two hours to pull it together...
Because that's how long it is going to take.
Before any public appearances.
There is no need to scare anyone,
Who has become accustomed to your 'youthful' glow!
They do not have to know,
How much effort it actually takes!
There's a routine I do everyday.
It takes hours off of one's physical appearance.
However...
Do not!
I repeat...
Do not get caught in rush hour traffic.
Someone might get a glimpse...
And off you go.
Carted away to someone's zoo!
That happened to one of my neighbor's!
But I think she is undergoing a major makeover.
I haven't seen her in months!
Although her backyard is littered with peanut shells,
And banana skins!
I told a couple of friends of mine,
My next door neighbor reminded me of Bubbles!
You remember?
Bubbles?
Michael Jackson's pet monkey?
She did.
But not all the time!
I did call her Halle a couple of times.
But I was only joking!
AND...
When you get to become a certain age?
Everything is hysterically funny!
But...
One has to get up before dawn,
To practice working on the routine to be exercised.

before I sleep
What thing I should remember before I sleep?
Is it love that driving me like crazy
Or hate that consume me greedy
Is it a reason I should wake up in the morning
Or is it the cause I keep my eyes open
Is it hope that follows me in beautiful dream
Or is it despair responsible for my nightmare
Is it something important not to forget
Or is it something that annoys me so much
What thing I should remember before I close my eyes?
Is it the happy moment that happens on this day
Or embarrassing time I want to turn back again
Is it the list of activities I should accomplish tomorrow
Or a wandering thought of going nowhere
Is it the last thing I will remember in my life
Or I got the chance to change my mind
Nobody knows, oh, nobody will
I only wish that I’m blessed to remember the right one

Morning
What does morning mean to me?
The chance to awaken under a cover,
the chance to awaken and see your lover,
the chance to open your eyes and know
that love is what makes your life flow.
What does morning mean to me?
The chance to breathe on a new day,
the chance to write and have my say,
the chance to listen to music I love,
the chance to take myself above
all negativity that comes my way.
What does morning mean to me?
The chance to have more time to spend,
the chance to correct my flaws and mend
all of them the best that I can,
the chance to remember how I began.
All of these morning times are great
and if they're not, it's then I await
for them to return to what they mean
and bring back my blessed morning scene.

One Man, One Woman
No smiles, not a single word at the breakfast table
Though I would have liked to begin
So much that I wanna say, but I feel unable
You leave and you slam the door
Like youve done many times before
And I cry and I feel so helpless
One man, one woman
Two friends and two true lovers
Somehow well help each other through the hard times
One man, one woman
One life to live together
One chance to take that never comes back again
You and me, to the end
Outside I can see the sun through the open window
Inside everything feels so cold
Whats wrong, what is happening, where did all our love go?
Sometimes when I just cant cope
I cling to a desperate hope
And I cry and I feel like dying
One man, one woman
Two friends and two true lovers
Somehow well help each other through the hard times
One man, one woman
One life to live together
One chance to take that never comes back again
You and me, to the end
Daydreams of a better life, but I have to wake up
The sound of the key in the door
You smile and I realise that we need a shake-up
Our love is a precious thing
Worth the pain and the suffering
And its never too late for changing
One man, one woman
Two friends and two true lovers
Somehow well help each other through the hard times
One man, one woman
One life to live together
One chance to take that never comes back again
You and me, to the end
You and me, to the end

Body Language
Moment by moment, day after day
Trying your best to forget
It's all behind you, it's part of the past
You've got no time for regrets
Time to start over with somebody new
You've got nothing more to lose
Out for the evening, dressed for the kill
Leaving your troubles behind
Dangerous places, dangerous times
Leave with the first one you find
Live for the moment, who cares if it's right
Who needs tomorrow, you've got tonight
There in the dark, under covers of love
Body language is taking you somewhere you shouldn't go
First name the last thing that you need to know
In the morning you're out on the street
Now's not the time for regrets
Some things are done for the thrill of it all
Some things you'll never forget
Live for the moment, who cares if it's right
Who needs tomorrow when you've got tonight
There in the dark, under covers of love
Body language is taking you somewhere you shouldn't go
First name the last thing that you need to know

This Is The Moment
This is the moment
This is the day
This is the moment
When I know
I am on my way
Every endeavor
I have made ever
Is coming into play
Is here and now today
This is the moment
This the time
When the momentum
And the moment
are in rhyme
Give me this moment
My precious chance
I'll gather up my best
And make some sense atlast
This is the moment
When all I've done
All of the dreaming,
scheming
And screaming
becomes one
This is the day,
Just see it shine
When all that I have lived for
Becomes mine
This is the moment
This is the hour
When I can open up,
Tomorrow
like a flower
And put my hand to
Everything I plan to
Fulfill my grand desire
See all my stars align
This is the moment
My final test
Destiny beckoned
I never reckoned second best
I won't look back
I must not fall
This is the moment
The sweetest moment
Of them all
This is the moment
So double the odds
This day or never
I'll sit forever
with the gods
When I look back
I will recall
Moment for moment
This was the moment
The greatest moment of them all.

When Love Comes Knocking At Your Door
When love comes knockin' at your door
Just open up and let 'im in.
It's gonna be a magic carpet ride;
So little girl now don't you run and hide.
I know that you've been hurt before
But don't you be afraid no more.
Throw off the chains that bind
And leave the past behind;
When love comes knocking at your door.
When love comes knocking at your door
Just open up and let 'im in.
It's gonna be a magic carpet ride;
So little girl now don't you run and hide.
You'll see a rainbow ev'ry day,
The sun will shine in ev'ry way.
Throw off the chains that bind
And leave the past behind;
No need to worry anymore,
When love comes knocking at your door
At your door,
At your door,
At your door.
Ah

Back Door Man
Im every man here in disguise
Lie cheat and give you a spoonful of lies
Im a high toned mother with an axe to grind
Come a little closer honey, see what you find
Your worst nightmares all rolled in one
Ill find you sure as the rising sun
Dont make a noise its understood
cos this aint no story like red riding hood
Im your back door man, Im your back door man oh yeah
Im your back door man, come on babe, and Ill take you where I can
Systematically I choose at will
But with you theres an obscene thrill
Its funny now how you cant say no
Its the smell of fear that you love so
Im your back door man, Im your back door man, oh yeah,
Im your back door man baby, just take it where you can
This first kiss has a touch of ice
Now hows that feel, it aint so nice
Blackhearted mamma Ive something new
Oh lord look what Ive turned into

Im your back door man, Im your back door man
Im your back door man, Im your back door man

A Great Memory
(dean dillon/trey bruce)
Im not one to take chances
Ive always played it safe
But girl Ive been out on a limb
Since I saw your smiling face
I feel like Im walking a tightrope
When Im out walking with you
Its a dangerous liason
Ive got my heart into
cause were not a sure thing
Too soon to tell if were the real thing
But this time its worth taking a chance
On you and me
But if doesnt work out
Should you decide to walk out
Well thats all right with me
cause girl I know youd be
A great memory
Some folks would die for this moment
But Ive lived for this moment in time
The love you bring may be a fleeting thing
But oh right now its mine
If I should wind up lonely
Well I wont mind being alone
cause if it works out that you leave me
Least Ill have you to look back on
cause were not a sure thing
Too soon to tell if were the real thing
But this time its worth taking a chance
On you and me
But if doesnt work out
Should you decide to walk out
Well thats all right with me
cause girl I know youd be
A great memory
Yeah thats all right with me
cause girl I know youd be
A great memory

0004 The gifts which gifted on..
This is the story that the tribe,
sitting together crosslegged,
children at their feet,
tell about
the first gift
a man so loved his wife
that one day at that season of the year
when the sun is so low in the sky
that there is fear that it might disappear
and only the wise old men, say
this is the time for hope and prayer
and the sun will return the stronger
and we, the more joyful
this man so loved his wife
that one day he brought home
besides the daily food,
a beautiful thing he found
and gave it to her
because he loved her
and she, overcome by this
new event, kept that
beautiful thing carefully hidden
to remind her of his love
for many years
until one day, because
she loved her son so much that
she in turn gave that beautiful thing
to him
and the moment she handed it
to him, the beautiful thing
shone more brightly than the sun
so bright that he shone too
and the tribe say, they learnt from this
that gifts received are gifts unearned
but come from grace itself; they are not
magic gifts until
you pass them on to someone else
and then you are indeed blest by them
and grace surrounds you as the sun
this is what that tribe say
sitting there crosslegged,
the children at their feet
at this season of the year

The only way is through
I stand beside your open door
And look into the room.
A moment’s hesitation, just,
a chill of pending doom.
I confess I’ve feared this day,
And hope my sight proves wrong,
but you still and quiet lay, -
a pause within a song-.
Your body covered with a sheet
No stir, no breathe of air
Waiting, patient, for the boatman
with nothing to declare.
I hesitate a moment there
Unsure of what to do
Then quietly remind myself
my only way is through

What I Want Is What Ive Got
All that I want
In my life
Is the feeling of peace
Deep within me truly
I took a chance
I let go
I promised myself
That it wouldnt scare me
Miracles appear I know
Now I can see it show
cause i
Found out what I dreamt of
And looked it up
At this very moment
What I want is what Ive got
Found out what was missing
And I looked it up and
At this very moment
What I want is what Ive got
Life is too short
To hold back
I wont live in the past
Being lonely now I know
This is the time
Of my life
Yes Im sure what I want
Is what Ive got
Miracles appear I know
Now I can see it show
cause i
Found out what I dreamt of
And I looked it up
At this very moment
What I want is what Ive got
Found out what was missing
And I looked it up and
At this very moment
What I want is what Ive got
Now Ive found out what ive
Been dreaming of
Its the feeling of peace deep within me
Cause life is too short to hold back
I made up my mind I just
Found out what I dreamt of
And looked it up
At this very moment
What I want is what Ive got
Found out what was missing
And I looked it up and
At this very moment
What I want is what Ive got
Found out what I dreamt of
And looked it up
At this very moment
What I want is what Ive got
Found out what was missing
And I looked it up and
At this very moment
What I want is what Ive got

Our Miracles
OUR MIRACLES
it is a miracle
when we wake up in the morning
with a smile to greet the morning sunrise
no matter our worries
and can end the day with a ray of hope
to bid goodbye to sunset
knowing that you have a great Provider
it is the miracle of life
you are not alone
you have the miracle of friendship,
love and working together
this is the greatest miracle
the miracle we take for granted
people who are humble,
who listen and forgive
looking at things and taking a fresh perspective
these are our miracles
the miracle of reconciliation
miracles happen everyday
you'll meet them everywhere
just look at the brighter side of life
and know that God is on your side
these are our miracles
the miracle of God's boundless and selfless love

The Return
Who knocks at the door so late, so late—
Who knocks so late at the door?
Is it one who comes as a stranger comes,
Or one who has knocked before?
Is it one who stays with intent to bless,
Or one who stands to implore?
My days have been as the years, she said,
And my heart, my heart is sore;
Love looked in my face for a moment's space
One happy spring of yore—
Looked in my face with a wistful grace:
And left me to grieve evermore!
Through all the days the door stood wide,
For hope had breathed a vow
That love should ne'er be kept outside.
The years were long and hope hath died;
The door at last is barred and fast—
Why comes this knocking now?
Yet woe the waiting heart, she said,
And the heart it waiteth for!
And woe the truth and wasted youth
That nothing shall restore!
The faith that's fled, the hope that's dead,
The dreams that come no more.
Who knocks at the gate—so late, so late?
Thou foolish heart, be still!
What is 't to thee if love or hate
Knocks in the midnight chill?
Art thou, poor heart, compassionate?
Is love so hard to kill?
Ah me! the night is cold, she said;
Would I might all forget;
But memory lives when hope is dead,
And pity heals regret;
As light still lingers overhead
When sun and moon are set.

We Could Be Together
Verse 1:
If I were an only child
I would be a lonely child
But baby weve got nothing to lose
Im standing tall in my own shoes
Ill take this chance
Ill make this choice
Ill right this wrong
Ill raise my voice
If it means
Well be together
For a while
Verse 2:
I have never had a doubt
But for you Ill take time out
Ill push his love far away from me
And then Ill be completely free
Ill give up my security
For just the possibility
That we could be together
For a while
Chorus:
If you said jump! Id say how high?
If you said run! Id run and fly
Just for the chance
Just for the moment
Should the moment pass us by
And if you ask once Ill tell you twice
Ill ignore the worlds advice
If we could be together
For a while
Verse 3:
I am taken by your strength
Ive thought about it at great length
I thought that I was happy now
But there are things that I found out
Happiness means greater things
Ill sit here til that telephone rings
Then we could be together
For a while
Chorus
Bridge:
Waitll I tell my guy (waitll I tell)
Waitll I tell my other friends
Theyll all think Im crazy-
And ya know what?
That depends...
cause Im crazy in love
With you
And everyones best wont do
Theyll say my hopes
Will not come true
But Im taking the chance
Because you only live once-
Only live once (only live once)
And...
If you said jump! Id say how high?
If you said run! you know Id fly
Just for the chance
Just for the moment
Should the moment pass us by
And if you ask once Ill tell you twice
Ill ignore the worlds advice
If we could be together
For a while
Bridge:
There are no guarantees
But if it means
Theres even a possibility
Then Ill give up whatever it takes
I know Ive made some mistakes before
It may be just another closed door
But we could be together
For a while
If you said jump! Id say how high?
If you said run! Id run and fly
Just for the chance
Just for the moment
Should the moment pass us by
Ask me once Ill tell you twice,
You know Ill ignore the worlds advice
If we could be together
For a while
Chorus
Dont you know that we could be together
For a while.

Take Your Clue From God
For many years,
And with intended contempt...
You took upon conscious action,
To ruin me making several attempts.
Without provocation on my part.
Just something you do,
As a representative of your community.
Doing your own people in!
And getting enjoyment from it too!
A community of deceiving evil people...
Declaring their desire for a communal unity!
And doing this upon an event when some child gets shot.
To begin the flowing of cussed words to dropp on one another.
And other outrageous gatherings...
To show the sweated depths of evil.
But you?
You...
Directed your animosities,
With beliefs no retaliation would be done.
Or come to your doorstep.
And on your door would knock!
'I've found God now!
I've been saved.' So you say!
I also have found something God has given me!
An ability to recognize false disciples.
The ones that do unto others then run to find God.
And God comes to tell me where you are!
But you?
You...
Directed your animosities,
With beliefs no retaliation would be done.
Or come to your doorstep.
And on your door would knock!
God knows I am a work in progress.
And does not know what I will do next!
And as God is my witness I will say this to you...
Take your clue from God.
And know with His Grace...
Any sin I commit He will forgive.
Under the circumstances!
And under those circumstances...
I hope I didn't disturb you,
As you viewed 'One Life to Live'?
I'll only be a moment.
There are some feelings I wish to address.

Those Kind of Troubles
Each day I feel a bit stronger.
Each day I can go longer...
To distance myself from an impatience,
That made me sick.
And in recent days I can say,
Those kind of troubles of mine...
Have now gone away.
All of that seems to not exist.
I feel right now so glad I do.
I thought I would be sad.
And that is true.
Until I let go to let God,
Work within me to undo...
Those heartaches,
With the ups and downs...
I found easily to find,
To disturb my mind!
Released I feel and happy at last.
Yes,
I know God has lifted me and blessed my...
Past!
I have everything more to live for clearly.
From mistakes made I have said good riddance.
I've removed from my life,
That which has been trashed.
Yes,
I know God has lifted me and blessed my...
Past!
With an abundance of insight I'm glad now to have.
I have no reason to solicit and sit,
With complaints daily made...
Coming to deliver and dropp unhappiness.
And there's nothing more to say I can add to this.
Yes,
I know God has lifted me and blessed my...
Past!
With an abundance of insight I'm glad now to have.
I feel right now so glad I do.
I thought I would be sad.

Who is at my door?
He said, 'Who is at my door?'
I said, 'Your humble servant.'
He said, 'What business do you have?'
I said, 'To greet you, 0 Lord.'
He said, 'How long will you journey on?'
I said, 'Until you stop me.'
He said, 'How long will you boil in the fire?'
I said, 'Until I am pure.
'This is my oath of love.
For the sake of love
I gave up wealth and position.'
He said, 'You have pleaded your case
but you have no witness.'
I said, 'My tears are my witness;
the pallor of my face is my proof.'
He said, 'Your witness has no credibility;
your eyes are too wet to see.'
I said, 'By the splendor of your justice
my eyes are clear and faultless.'
He said, 'What do you seek?'
I said, 'To have you as my constant friend.'
He said, 'What do you want from me?'
I said, 'Your abundant grace.'
He said, 'Who was your companion on the journey?
I said, 'The thought of you, 0 King.'
He said, 'What called you here?'
I said, 'The fragrance of your wine.'
He said, 'What brings you the most fulfillment?'
I said, 'The company of the Emperor.'
He said, 'What do you find there?'
I said, 'A hundred miracles.'
He said, 'Why is the palace deserted?'
I said, 'They all fear the thief.'
He said, 'Who is the thief?'
I said, 'The one who keeps me from -you.
He said, 'Where is there safety?'
I said, 'In service and renunciation.'
He said, 'What is there to renounce?'
I said, 'The hope of salvation.'
He said, 'Where is there calamity?'
I said, 'In the presence of your love.'
He said, 'How do you benefit from this life?'
I said, 'By keeping true to myself
Now it is time for silence.
If I told you about His true essence
You would fly from your self and be gone,
and neither door nor roof could hold you back!
