I Awakened Free of Alibis

I awakened free of alibis.
And dared to hear excuses made.
I felt the sensation that I had arrived.
And my eyes were cleared of my own limitations.
And dictated into accepting tricks,
With full acknowledgement of this...
Had ended.
And I knew I would be disappointing many people.

I awakened free of alibis.
And I knew I would be disappointing many people.
I dared to hear excuses made.
And I knew I would be disappointing many people.
I felt the sensation that I had arrived.
And my eyes were cleared of my own limitations.
And dictated into accepting tricks,
With full acknowledgement of this...
Had ended.
And I knew then I would be a disappointment,
To many people.

The Moment You Arrived

The moment you arrived,
I knew you too.
Your eyes penetrated through,
My inhabitions hidden.

And free I felt to be myself.
With a flow between us,
Growing unrestricted...
To dissolve blocking walls,
Easily.

The moment you arrived...
To recognize you and I,
Could provide...
Communicated conversation,
No longer waiting with a patience to connect.
We knew what to expect would be accepted,
Next.

And we knew,
Anticipated steps directed...
Without the benefit of a single guess,
Would never again be neglected.

The moment you arrived,
I knew you too.
Your eyes penetrated through,
My inhabitions hidden.

And free I felt to be myself.
With a flow between us,
Growing unrestricted...
To dissolve blocking walls,
Easily.

The moment you arrived,
I...
Cried with joy,
Inside.
I...
Cried with joy,
I attempted to hide...
The moment you arrived.

All And Any Explanation Is A Pointless Endeavor

No more time is there to be given,
For the purpose of enabling...
Unconscious or misguided people.
The patience of those sacrificial...
Has been replaced with rewards of peace.
Frustrations from people like this has been released.

Those who don't get,
What has been there for them to have gotten...
Need no longer to explain themselves,
With alibis and excuses made they can now drop.

These days that have come,
Requires everyone's full attention.
And not the attention focused on them.
But an attention for those who have awakened...
For a quickened evaluation,
Of all that speeds by within a twinkling of an eye!

And if anyone is not equipped to see it mentally,
All and any explanation is a pointless endeavor.

Disappointing Daughter

Meet their disappointing daughter,
with her disappointing ways.
They would oh-so-love to humour her,
but it really never pays.
What's wrong with that girl, anyway?
She's always in a daze.
Why won't she join in with their games?
Her brother always plays.
It's not that they're ashamed of her -
but some of her displays -
and, let's face it, in public, too...
Such a disappointing daughter:
imperfect;
human;
got drunk when younger;
went out with a few dodgy blokes,
when younger -
such a disappointing daughter,
with her disappointing - unforgivably
disappointing - ways.

Grew To Believe

I did not awaken with dreams to write.
Or decide I was creative.
I awakened each day trying to fight it,
This appetite I had.
Especially when I thought that I had,
Something I should not want to have.

Few people I knew were encouraged to express,
An acceptance of their gifts.
I grew up in the projects.
And those who were 'different' were made to feel it.

Few people I knew were encouraged to express,
A happiness with talents they possessed.
With a gladness from others...
Who did not address an envy with a jealousness.

But a showing of a knowing that I knew,
Grew...
Inside of me.
Yes,
A showing of a knowing that I knew...
Grew!

A showing of a knowing that I knew,
Grew...
Inside of me.
Yes,
A showing of a knowing that I knew...
Grew,
To believe.

I did not awaken with dreams to write.
Or decide I was creative.
I awakened each day trying to fight it,
This appetite I had.
But...
A showing of a knowing that I knew,
Grew...
Inside of me.
Yes,
A showing of a knowing that I knew...
Grew,
To believe.

A showing of a knowing that I knew,
Grew...
Inside of me.

A showing of a knowing that I knew...
Grew,
To believe.

I Felt Freed

One day I awakened,
And there was an insignificance I sensed,
From yesterday!
That cleared the morning air.

There was something about my life,
That had arrived and I liked.
Appearing in my sight...
With such a happiness I could not ignore.
It was there to make certain,
I had been aware.

And whatever to me was done and/or said,
Before I laid my head down in my bed...
Prepared to flee.
Somehow this was unknown to me.

And when I had awakened it had fled!
No longer to me to be important.
To address as my priorities.
And I felt freed!
I felt freed.
I felt...
Freed!

To live a life much more motivated.
With a quest to face challenges...
I now seek and dare!
As opportunities to prove...
I can move anything off my path,
That isn't of benefit and doesn't belong there!

And I felt freed!
I felt freed.
I felt...
Freed!

I Knew You

I knew you before you knew
Who you wanted to be
Now I see the new you
She's a perfect stranger to me
Loves unkind, for I find
If only saw, the best of you
But my mind, not so blind
Showed my heart the rest of you
Scheming lies and alibis
That butter wouldn't melt disguise
With happy ever after eyes
That made a fool of me
I knew you before you knew
Who you wanted to be
Now I see the new you
She's a perfect stranger to me
She's a perfect stranger to me
Love is cruel It makes a fool
Of one who thought we had it all
All bridges burned, the lesson learned
You never really loved at all
Now you're gone, I'm on my own
Don't come around, don't even phone
Please leave a happy man alone
And we can both be free
I knew you before you knew
Who you wanted to be
Now I see the new you
She's a perfect stranger to me
She's a perfect stranger to me

I Have A Woman Inside My Soul

I have a woman inside my soul,
Her eyes sombre and sad.
She waves her hand to try to reach me,
But I cant hear what she says.
I wish I knew what she says,
I wish I knew what she wants,
I wish I knew what she says to me,
I wish I knew what she means to me.
I see an asphalt road inside my soul,
Its pale even in a warm summers day.
It stretches into the mist and calls me,
But I dont know what it takes.
I wish I knew what it takes, (I wish I knew)
I wish I knew what it gives, (I wish I knew)
I wish I knew what it says to me, (I wish I knew)
I wish I knew what it means to me. (I wish I knew)
I see a tombstone inside my soul,
Its old and mossy, covered in dead leaves.
It stands with an engraving on it surface,
But I dont know what it reads.
I wish I knew what it reads, (I wish I knew)
I wish I knew what it says, (I wish I knew)
I wish I knew what it says to me, (I wish I knew)
I wish I knew what it means to me. (I wish I knew)
(yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, hey)
I feel snow covering inside my soul,
Its hard and shining in shades of grey.
No footsteps ever made their marks,
And I dont know when it melts.
I wish I knew when it melts, (I wish I knew)
I wish I knew when it happens, (I wish I knew)
I wish I knew if it happens at all, (I wish I knew)
I wish I knew what it means to me. (I wish I knew)
I hear a stream running inside my soul,
Its cold and clear and carries a tune.
But I dont know what it sings and tells,
I dont know where it goes.
I wish I knew what it sings,
I wish I knew where it goes,
I wish I knew what it sings, (I wish I knew)
I wish I knew where it goes, (I wish I knew)
I wish I knew what it sings. (I wish I knew)
(I wish I knew)
(I wish I knew) (yeah!)
(I wish I knew)
(I wish I knew)

If Daddy Only Knew

I wonder if Daddy knew I had to become super-responsible and a miniature adult at the age of 12
I wonder if Daddy knew life at home was full of broken promises and full of disappointment.
I wonder if Daddy knew why he didn't ever carry me fishing
I wonder if Daddy knew why I had to take life so seriously
I wonder if Daddy knew why I couldn't have fun like my other friends
I wonder if Daddy knew I never really knew what 'normal' was
I wonder if Daddy knew I had to lie and cover up the truth about our family for all those years when telling the truth would have been easier
I wonder if Daddy knew why he didn't ever tell me he loved me. Was it because I was a little 'man'?
I wonder if Daddy knew why he didn't come to my graduation?
I wonder if Daddy knew how much I loved him?
I wonder if Daddy knew how many times the arguments and yelling was my bedtime lullaby?
I wonder if Daddy knew..................that I knew

Forever

I never wanted another
Come over to me and discover
How i want to be near you
And you need to be far away
You always seem to make me feel at home
Hey you
People like
I never knew, i never knew, i never knew why
You make me wanna cry
I never knew, i never knew, i never knew why
Forever live and die
I look at all of the people
Doing it over and over
You never get any older
I wish that you could be here
I look at you and i
Make the same mistakes
Hey you
People like
I never knew, i never knew, i never knew why
You make me wanna cry
I never knew, i never knew, i never knew why
Forever live and die
I never knew, i never knew, i never knew why
You make me wanna cry
I never knew, i never knew, i never knew why
Forever live and die
Repeat to fade

What is the use of begetting?

If people knew my book
But not me as its author,
If people knew my song
But not me as its writer,
If people knew my shrine
But not me as its builder
And if they knew my prince
But not me as his father,
What’s the use of begetting them?
For my name I did all these things.

Researching of Your Rebirth

None of it has been rehearsed.
The researching of your rebirth.
Every detail of it has been lived.
And moments of it,
You had felt neglected and cursed.

No steps first awakened,
Came with ease.
No temptation tasted,
Lasted to please.
Few you met...
Had souls complete,
Of truth and honesty.
Although you held onto the myth...
Everyone you knew,
Was born with a goodness,
To free joy and happiness...
Within them existed

None of it has been rehearsed.
The researching of your rebirth.
Every detail of it has been lived.
And moments of it,
You had felt neglected and cursed.
From the moment of your first birth.

Now on a path of enlightenment.
Accepting reality as it is meant.
Freed from beliefs that decreased as you grew.
Comprehending this,
Increased your higher consciousness.
And you realize the clarity before your eyes.

None of it has been rehearsed.
The researching of your rebirth.
Every detail of it has been lived.
And moments of it,
You had felt neglected and cursed.

But what has been revealed...
At first may hurt.
Until acceptance heals!
To allow the growth from a stunting to bloom!
Waiting for you to decide to give it room...
To rise above and beyond,
Limitations of despair that keeps one teased.

Efforts

What do you think about efforts.
And what they eventually can produce?
Once that investment is made.
And people are tolerant.
With patience.
Prepared for disappointment.
And some people aren't ready,
To comprehend that at all.

'Personally,
I am lactose intolerant.
But I would think eventually,
They would produce a calf.
One only has to wait...patiently.
But I tell you...
Some of them can be quite disappointing,
From what I have heard and understand.'

Finally...Here We Are

I knew you knew me.
The moment I saw you,
I knew you knew.

I knew you felt my heart.
The passion and compassion.
Here inside...
Wishing for someone to recognize.

I knew you knew me.
The moment I saw you,
I knew you knew.

I knew you too wanted to touch.
And we hungered for that very much.

And finally...
Here we are!
To notice,
And taste this dream.

Skeletons (home Demo)

I was following adventure, nothing mattered
And I knew best
I had a blood in my head, no one could shake it
Cause I knew best
But now I find
Remains of people that I left behind
I never took them once
I never, skeletons tell me hit me now and then
Because, skeletons to say I told you so again
Wish I'd done things differently
Cause skeletons don't set you free
I'd make a life for myself, I'd be a bigshot
Cause I knew best
I had high expectations, I was headstrong
And I knew best
All of my friends knew
What I was doing to the loving few
I know it's hard to chew
Cause never, skeletons tell me hit me now and then
Because, skeletons to say I told you so again
Wish I'd done things differently
Cause skeletons don't set you free
Well, all I wanted was fame to feed my ego
And I knew best
Cause when you're high on success you get impressed
And I knew best
I knew best

Overcoming Setbacks

My space is my space!
And it's a happy place deserved.

Long in development.
And cleared of weeds,
Dusted of rubblish...
And nonsense free.

With resisted self evaluation done.
None of it fun overcoming setbacks.
And heartbreaks.
Or those mistakes clinging,
Onto denials made.

Fearing the truth hiding behind excuses...
I did to reduce pain felt.
Sitting I would do far removed from self...
To think of my journey,
Aboard a ship rudderless.
Until I awakened...
To shake away from my own confrontations.
Now to greet a 'me' I began to know to love!

With resisted self evaluation done.
None of it fun overcoming setbacks.
And heartbreaks.
Or those mistakes clinging,
Onto denials made.

My space is my space!
And it's a happy place deserved.
With or without those passing judgement,
About my love of it being self serving.

Nor do I solicit opinions,
Regarding how my life is best to live.
The enjoyment comes,
From the doing of it.
With less self abuse...
That seduces creative excuses to make!

Never Been

I've never been touched like this- I've never been
I've never been kissed like this- I've never been
I never knew it felt like this- I never knew
I never knew a love like this

Pardon me- excuse me- forgive me- I can't help it
But I see- the energy- 'tween you and me- and I'm selfish
Don't want no- other girls- calling you- never ever
Cause I want- us to stay- together- forever

I've never been touched like this- I've never been
I've never been kissed like this- I've never been
I never knew it felt like this- I never knew
I never knew a love like this

Believe me- when I say- there is no one- I mean none
That can do- the things you do- the things you did- and get done
And I believe- that I can feel- this way- for a reason
In all the ways- you make me feel- boy you keep- me breathing

I've never been touched like this- I've never been
I've never been kissed like this- I've never been
I never knew it felt like this- I never knew
I never knew a love like this

What you got- Them others don't- Cause you're the one I want
You make me hot- Them others don't- Cause baby you're the one I love
What you got- Them others don't- Cause you're the one I want
You make me hot- Them others don't- Cause baby you're the one I love

I've never been touched like this- I've never been
I've never been kissed like this- I've never been
I never knew it felt like this- I never knew
I never knew a love like this

You'd Be There

If I was not anywhere at all,
I'd be there with you on my mind.
Attempting to define it.
And why I insisted,
To have you follow me like this.
From nonsense arguments...
To moments shared,
When we dared to call it bliss.
If I was not anywhere at all,
Making sure I knew...
My limitations were wished.
With no one around to dismiss me.
Or ignore my existence,
As I would watch you sit.
There is no need,
I've done that myself.
Staring at a reflection...
With a vacant connection.
If I was not anywhere at all...
Pretending I was somewhere,
You'd be there.
Everywhere I would go.
You'd be there.
And you would not know,
Where I had taken you.
To share thoughts we both knew,
Were unwanted.

Somewhere Someone Will Listen To Them

I don't expect anyone to be familiar,
With my memories.
The ones I keep fondly close to me.
How could they be?
When memories affecting me are mine.
Although I am told about myself all the time.
As if my life hangs from a grapevine.

And those experiences,
That came to jolt my emotions...
Are the reasons why some may find me,
Not the one they 'thought' they knew.
Or the one they comfortably gossiped about.
And I know for those with nothing else to do to choose,
This can be quite disappointing.

As long as they are soothed,
By others approving their deceptions too...
There will always be a place for those two-faced.
Somewhere someone will listen to them twist truths.
With an accepting done of their irresistible dysfunctions.
