By Invitation Only

If the murmurs were pointless in their renderings,
There would be few to feel offended.
But since they are not.
And begin to peel the scab off ignored wounds...
Pretensions are not that enjoyable.

Of course this brings back those memories.
And many prefer to believe they go unseen,
Hopping on one leg.
Or bleeding profusely...
During their 'By Invitation Only' cocktail parties.

~And how did YOU get in here? ~

'Through the door.
Why?
Was there another way? '

Invitation

I received your invitation;
sorry I will not be there.
After loving you for so long,
it would be too much to bear.
As the invitation slips through my fingers,
I remember how your love slipped away,
so I am sending back you invitation,
the invitation for your wedding day.
I don’t think you will miss me,
as he will be holding you tight.
I will only bring back bad memories
and you wouldn’t want them tonight,
so I am sending back your invitation,
the invitation for your wedding day.
For my dearest darling
it is the only and best way.

We'll See How That Goes

Had you ever felt offended,
By receiving an invitation from an enterprise...
Who initially did not seek your presence inside.
Where others who patronize were welcomed to sit.
And the only reason you received an invitation...
Was to assist this enterprise from going out of business?
And it has been requested you assist them to avoid this?

Did you feel offended?
OR has this ever happened to you?
And when closed eyes finally open to a wider view,
Would you rather spend time with people like that?
Or where services are rendered...
And people without exception know how to exchange respect.
Especially when business and money is involved.

'So...
Are you going to accept the invitation? '

No.
But I may offer to buy their business.
We'll see how that goes!

In Closing

STEP BACK INSIDE THE LIE AGAIN
YOU'LL FIND YOU'RE WEARING THIN
KILLING THE SYMPATHY AS YOU TAKE ANOTHER SWING AT ME
NOW FIGHTING YOUR INNER SELF AGAIN
LOSING TO WHAT YOU FEEL
SHIELDED BEHIND THE LIES THAT MAKE YOU FEEL REAL
NOW IT'S OVER AND I DON'T FEEL A THING
BUT YOU'RE TRYING TO BREAK THE SCAR AGAIN
YOUR SPIRIT IS BLEEDING AS YOU GRIN
BUT YOUR BRIDGE KEEPS ON BURNING AT BOTH ENDS
IN YOUR MIND
THE ENDING SEEMS TO BE SO FAR FROM WHAT YOU NEED
TAKE BACK THE MEMORIES AS YOU SMILE TO HIDE THE PAIN FROM ME
NOW SHUT DOWN THE CURIOSITY THAT BRINGS YOU HERE AGAIN
NO SENSE OF PURITY AS YOU TRY TO TAKE THE LIFE FROM ME NOW
IT'S OVER AND I DON'T FEEL A THING
BUT YOU'RE TRYING TO BREAK THE SCAR AGAIN
YOUR SPIRIT IS BLEEDING AS YOU GRIN
BUT YOUR BRIDGE KEEPS ON BURNING AT BOTH ENDS
NOTHING THAT YOU EVER SAY COULD EVER POSSIBLYERASE ALL THE HATEFUL THINGS YOU DID
AND NOW I'M THROUGH WITH YOU
NOTHING THAT YOU EVER SAY COULD EVER POSSIBLY ERASE ALL THE HATEFUL THINGS YOU DID
AND NOW I'M THROUGH WITH YOU
NOTHING YOU COULD EVER SAY
NOTHING YOU COULD EVER SAY
NOTHING YOU COULD EVER SAY
NOTHING YOU COULD EVER SAY
IT'S OVER AND I DON'T FEEL A THING
BUT YOU'RE TRYING TO BREAK THE SCAR AGAIN
YOUR SPIRIT IS BLEEDING AS YOU GRIN
BUT YOUR BRIDGE KEEPS ON BURNING AT BOTH ENDS
HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY NOW
HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY NOW
HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY NOW
HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY NOW

Only Memories Left

Searching my youth of another day
of time that went away
back in the old home town
with family and friends, brings a frown.

To be home again
of my search I begin
the places I remember are gone now
to progress they have bowed.

So many changes in the city
every thing gone, oh it's a pity
my youth was here for many years
to see how it's changed brings tears.

It's true you can't go home again
to the place it all began
memories is all I have left
to my heart the memories have cleft

Unaccustomed to Having An Identity

Have you ever been in a situation,
In which you insulted others...
When you had a preference,
To begin to use your own given name?
And others became offended by that?
Others became offended...
Because you announced a clarity of your identity.
AND...
This offended?
AND...
You then became so proud of who you were,
Your entire presence began to threaten?
Especially those unaccustomed to having an identity!
The ones from birth until death,
Are only known by their nicknames.
And they are related to people who will never know,
Their real names.
Ever!

Have you ever been in a situation,
In which you insulted others...
When you had a preference,
To begin to use your own given name?

And the next thing they want you to do,
Is to get 'right' with God.

Skin

This is someone elses story
Someone that I never knew
This is someone elses body
Am I getting through to you
If you peel away the armor is something underneath
If you look below for hidden treasure underneath another layer
Are you hiding underneath the skin
Chorus
If you peel away the skin is there anybody there
If you peel away the skin is there anybody there
If you peel away the armor is it too late to begin
Is there anybody hiding if you peel away the skin
Now a spark has passed between us now
A momentary recognition
Something lost and something gained
And something shared that feels strange
Something cold that will not go away
Theres a heart as cold as ice
In a vault thats made of stone
Over years the walls got higher
Over years the walls have grown
Is there anybody in there in this self inflicted tomb
If you peel away the layers is there someone in this room
If you peel away the skin, if you peel away the skin
This is someone elses story
Someone that I never knew
This is someone elses body
Am I getting through to you

Spend This

Dedicated To Those With Fixations..

With no life to live
Go on a spending spree
Purchase a multitude
Feel powerfully competent
Don't need any of it

Cram the bags
Hide away the boxes
Hold my breath
Got to exhale
Nothing left to do

Anxious beyond reasoning
Bite my fingernails
Take a four hour bath
Water's too cold
Go shopping again

Relief overwhelms me
Stash the items
Night falls too late
Remove the same scab
Bleed profusely in my mind

Close the crack in bedroom door
Massage my eyebrows incessantly
Morrow’s manipulations are nightmares
My future requisitions stockpile
As I lay in my mummy case

That 'Rubbing' Done That Has Appalled You

If you really want to feel offended by anything done,
To you that is believed is directed.
Be you offended,
By being deceived, manipulated and used.
By those who have thrown that up in your face.
Then compared that to something you've heard,
That you have felt...
Rubbed you the wrong way.

Now...
With that 'rubbing' done that has appalled you,
Connect that something said...
To that which is actually happening to you.
On a daily basis that you have blindly accepted.
With that false faith you project to protect.
That accepts being deceived, manipulated and used.
What words have you heard has directly affected your life?

The words you don't like?
Or the people honest enough to say them?

Now...which do you prefer when being stabbed in the back?
Being able to selected the instrument used?
Or do you have a preference for a certain color?

Charmed

Carve thy name into my heart,
in stead of stressed i lay here charmed
Charmed by the anger in my heart,
But the charm is coming undone
As thy carves in my heart with a bloody knife
Showing no mercy
Leaving open wounds bleeding profusely,
Wounds shown to the world
In this living black hell i see your eyes,
and the light flashing in them
Your blue tears mixing with my black tears healing me,
the charm of anger coming undone
taking part of me with it,
my anger at you and the blood i lost to you
So go on i will not shriek in pian,
carve anything in my bleeding heart
I shall only cry mixing my black no,
now my blue tears with yours
healing my bloody heart leting,
out the anger thats been charmed in me

Forever

Forever
By: Jean Pullman

You promised me forever you said you’d never leave
But now look where I am
You broke the tiny piece of heart I had left
I’m sitting in a dark room
Crying and drowning in the pain you caused
I feel like dying but won’t

CHORUS
You said forever but you didn’t mean it
You stabbed my heart and it’s profusely bleeding
I am broken beyond repair not even you can fix me
I feel like kicking the chair beneath me
But something stops me from ending my life

You say you want to fix things but I know you can’t
I don’t want you gone but you are
You left me in the dark
Now I don’t have a voice
I won’t fall in love again
I won’t let anyone in

CHORUS
You said forever but you didn’t mean it
You stabbed my heart and it’s profusely bleeding
I am broken beyond repair not even you can fix me
I feel like kicking the chair beneath me
But something stops me from ending my life

I’d have to say it wasn’t you it was me
I couldn’t control my jealousy
I should have stopped when I could
I wish I could’ve been understand
I pushed you away and you left
Along with the beating organ in my chest
From this heart break I died inside
I cried so hard I have a permanent sadness in my eyes

I Was Prepared To Boycott Ignorance

I was prepared to boycott ignorance,
But decided against it.
If I made a poster and picketed with it...
Those who couldn't read...
Would not get incensed.

And the ones politically aware,
Might become offended...
As an attack upon their pretensions.
And some who knew exactly what I meant...
Would avoid me like I was diseased,
With a plague they would prefer not to share.
This awareness for them is best kept ignored.
Not made a public fanfare.

I was prepared to boycott ignorance,
But decided against it.
Too many would perceive me,
To be its advocate.
And more of it would be solicited.

The Chronicles Of Nostalgia Part 4 Nostalgic about Stupidity

Images flash by
I feel like I might die
All those times... all those mistakes
Memories of a time past
Some memories you wish wouldn't last
All this makes
Me feel confused... so many its hard to even think
Of them.... it takes awhile for the pain to go away
Once it starts to sink
In deep and on this day
I get this feeling
I can't sing
New nostalgia born each day
New memories good and bad today
And forever
What a pointless endeavor
To try to escape
this cage holds my memory here
Strange to me it is that, I don't know who to call my dear
It's all quite strange, lost in my stupidity
That's me

Another Day

What seems like such a winter's tale
Lightening runs through the fallen flames
By kneeling down we're here to pray
At that point forsaken unafraid
I only wanna feel you being strong
I only wanna feel you being strong
Call me up and let's begin
Call me up and let's begin
Another day
Call me up and let's begin
Call me up and let's begin
You done that to me
Feel my breath go cold and calm
My pride is last and I sin again
And all the seasons change their scent
A year of hell they come against my head once more
I only wanna feel you being strong
I only wanna feel you being strong
Call me up and let's begin
Call me up and let's begin
Another day
Call me up and let's begin
Call me up and let's begin
You done that to me
INSTRUMENTAL
Call me up and let's begin
Call me up and let's begin
Another day
Call me up and let's begin
Call me up and let's begin
You done that to me
Call me up and let's begin
Call me up and let's begin

Call me up and let's begin

Time Heals

If youre bleeding,
Then everyone can see youre bleeding
They can call for the doctor,
Wholl provide what the diagnosis says youre needing
Then hell take away your pain
But if your heart,
Your heart has been broken
And you dont wear it on your sleeve
No one can tell,
Your hell goes unspoken
But theres one thing you must believe
Time heals the wounds no one can see
Time heals the wounds that no one can see
If youre crying
Then everyone can see you crying
And they all sympathize
But it just doesnt matter
Though they may be trying,
They cant feel the hurt inside
You cant go on,
Youve gone to the limit
And your life seems to slip away
Youre on your own
Alone you must face it
And tomorrows so far away
You got to hold on baby
Got to give it time to heal
Time heals the wounds that no one can see
You must believe what they say is true
It dos wonders for ya, yeah, yeah

A Lot Of Issues To Address

If I look a certain way...
With my head up and not down to the ground.
They become offended.
Especially when I smile...
And there they are,
With evil looks and wearing frowns.

If I dress a certain way,
Because I feel good about myself everyday.
And I might not have gotten any sleep!
Or have eatened that day.
There they are...
Offended.

And 'if' I suggest I am at peace.
And have a happy mindset...
The eyes begin to roll.
They believe I live without any needs at all.
Because I don't wear my heart on my sleeve.
And I become victim,
Of a character assassination process.
Made to feel out of place,
Because I'm not crawling around pleading on knees.

'Just ignore 'those' people!
They just don't like who you are, period! '
THOSE people?
Those people are my 'own' people.
And they have a lot of issues to address.
