Before or After
The only reason why it is there,
In the first place...
Is because you wanted it.
Or at least it was allowed.
If it was not indeed desired...
Why is it there?
And when did you recognize,
It wasn't meant for you?
Before or after,
It had exhausted its satisfaction?
Or...
When you began to realize,
You were personally affected.
And if that is the case,
When did you wake up to notice it?
Just now?
Or has it been a while.
Either way...
It's there to stay!
Since it is obvious,
You had to wait for a thought to process.

You 'Have' To Notice It
Lets...
Discuss,
Racism.
And how it affects you daily.
'It doesn't.'
Comeon.
You have to notice it?
'I do.'
So...
You are affected.
'No.
I am not.'
Of course you are.
You are obviously black.
A black man.
'And? '
If I were black I would notice that.
Everywhere I would notice it.
Everywhere I went...
It would be on my mind.
In my consciousness.
I'd be full of resentment.
I wouldn't be able to sleep,
Knowing I stood out amongst all people.
I would feel insecure.
Emotionally tormented inside,
With wishes to be white.
I would be...
Are you done?
'Yes.
But I just wanted you to know,
How I would feel...
IF I were a black man.'
Sorry to disappoint you.
Perhaps my commitment,
To having an identity with purpose first...
Has not prioritized my being black.
As much as you have.
Are you hoping one day I will feel inferiror?
'You don't? '
By what or who?
'Those who feel they are better than you.'
I don't fantasize.
But I realize there are many who do.
And I notice them everywhere I go.
You have to notice it too?
'I don't.'

Why Go?
Don't go
I didn't know you'd be here, and i wasn't meant to come.
I'd be sitting watching tv if there was anything decent on,
If i'd missed the taxi or found nothing good to wear.
But for some uncertain reason, some strange uncertain reason,
This is how it all it all began.
(why go?) why go, (when you could stay awhile)?
(why go?) why go, (when you could stay awhile)?
If i made some coffee, would you sit and talk some more?
I know words are usually pointless when you've used them all before.
The way your smile fills the room --
Stay awhile. kick off your shoes. don't go. please stay. --
It always happened this way.
(why go?) why go, (when you could stay awhile)?
(why go?) why go, (when you could stay awhile)?
The way your smile fills the room --
Stay awhile. what's there to lose? --
The way you laugh, when i say, don't go. please stay.
Why go? why go, when you could stay awhile?
Why go? why go, when you could stay awhile,
When you could stay with me tonight?
Tonight?

It's Like This...
It's like this...
Whatever you are now seeing,
But did not see then.
Or refused to see it for what it was,
Has not changed!
The reason it is in your focus,
Is you now find it on your back!
And you believe it is something,
You can brush or shake off!
Just like that.
You know...
Like something you've been accustomed,
To doing.
However,
It's like this...
That chip you carried on your shoulder?
Well,
It is now a boulder.
And,
It's like this...
You are not the only one carrying it,
Either.
Expect it to be there for a while.
Since you and the others...
Have more now in common than your realize!
And whatever was allowed to be put where it is...
Is yours.
You claimed it!
That is why it is there!
If it wasn't what you wanted,
It would not exist!

To Finally Accept The Process
As much as I hesitated,
And debated with myself...
To finally accept the process,
I 'allowed' myself to age.
Yes!
I 'allowed' myself to do this in stages.
Since I did not want to become overwhelmed,
By an event I was not sure I wanted to attend.
Although others I viewed seemed surprised by it too...
With a protesting shown and much unhappiness.
However, unlike them...
I decided I would not get too comfortable,
With any stage that came to end.
Some chose a stage with a wish to stay.
And fighting with themselves along the way.
I even witnessed others,
Doing their best to prevent maturity.
None physically succeeded,
But mentally...
Many could easily claim a success.
As much as I hesitated,
And debated with myself...
To finally accept the process,
I 'allowed' myself to age.
Yes!
And as each day passes,
I feel more and more blessed.
I no longer feel I should 'allow' this process.
Since I now do it without thinking about it,
With an acceptance felt for me that is best.

Welcomed Into the Family of Comprehension
Everything has a reason.
Everything.
With a purpose to ponder.
And a place for that purpose,
To find reason at that time.
Everything has a reason.
Everything,
In a thinking mind!
Any thought adopted...
Is welcomed into the family,
Of comprehension.
And attempts to understand,
Is supported.
Everything has a reason.
Everything.
With a purpose to ponder.
And a place for that purpose,
To find reason at that time.
Everything has a reason.
Everything,
In a thinking mind!
Any thought adopted...
Is welcomed into the family,
Of comprehension.
And attempts to understand,
Is supported.
What hand reaching out to shake,
Does not support that?
What prolonged heartbreak,
Would stay wallowing in sorrow?
To borrow an excuse,
Or a chance not to view agony?
Close up and into a tear stained face.
You should not want that reflecting...
Everywhere,
And in every face you see.
Denial is the most contagious disease!
Everywhere,
And in every face you see.
Denial is the most contagious disease!
No thing is detached,
That keeps an attraction from coming back.
Something is attached to that.
And seriously repeated.
When done,
The meaning of that purpose...
Should not go misunderstood!
Like selling one 'pot' who requested 'crack'.
An end should come to that.
When the mind gets that whacked out.
And chained to keep one remaining unchanged.
If it does because of ignorance declared delicious?
That can be forgiven, allowed and forgotten.
We all have had our cravings.
However...
If it does come from an intention reeking in deceit?
That can be considered a good cause,
Some some severe cussing out!
And some folks have earned their cussing out,
Those deserving it...
Rights!
And some folks can be sadistic about it!
You can not cuss them out enough!
There are a number of them to unionize.
Everything has a reason.
Everything.
With a purpose to ponder.
And a place for that purpose,
To find reason at that time.
Everything has a reason.
Everything,
In a thinking mind!
Any thought adopted...
Is welcomed into the family,
Of comprehension.
And attempts to understand,
Is supported.
If it does come from an intention meant?
That can be shallow, obvious...
And an absence of common sense.
And an absence of it is more common than not!
If one ain't got it!
And an intention done lacking sense,
Wastes too much time.
Everything has a reason.
Everything.
With a purpose to ponder.
And a place for that purpose,
To find reason at that time.
Everything has a reason.
Everything,
In a thinking mind!
Any thought adopted...
Is welcomed into the family,
Of comprehension.
And attempts to understand,
Is supported.

Don't Wait for the Sun
i don't need to know why
cause tommorow i'll be fine
i should learn to be still
if i close my eye i'll realize what you meant
[chorus:]
don't wait for the sun
it could turn black any day
i lost my hat in the clouds
when will the haze go away
i never wanted this
now it's all i've got
someone else is keeping time
i think i'm falling apart
if you were me would you do it like i do
[repeat chorus 2x]
so don't wait for the sun
don't wait for the sun
don't wait for the sun
it could turn black any day
you're all that i wanted

I Will Wait
There was a time
When all I thought that I wanted
Was someone to touch me
Like I thought everyone was touched
What did I know, what was I thinking
What did I know, what was I thinking
I remember
There was someone that I wanted
Now shes a face at the reunion of 66
What did she know, what was she thinking
And did she know that I convinced myself
I couldnt survive
Sometimes you have to wait
Youre pushing but that stone wont move
And you hesitate to give yourself away
There was a time
When all I thought that I needed
Was someone to tell me
I was making the perfect move
What did I know, what was I thinking
What did I know, what was I thinking
All I wanted was a holy exemption
I had a license to tell everyone
Where its at
What did they know, what were they thinking
And did they know that I would only hear
The things I desired
So I would wait
Im pushing but that stone wont move
And I hesitate to give myself away
And there was a time
When all I thought that I wanted
Was to live in a world
Where everyone knew what love is for
What do I know, what am I thinking
Nobody knows that the hour is getting late
So I will wait for it forever
I will wait for it
Though I know the hour is getting late
I will wait for it forever
I will wait for it
Though I know the hour is getting late

Much a Do About Nothing
Too much time to wait
Too much nonsense to talk
Do we realize?
We much a do about nothing
Too many thought for trivial thing
Too much pride for simple matter
Will we realize?
We much a do about nothing
Too much hatred in watching
Too much angst in reading
Could we realize?
We much a do about nothing
Too much energy to laugh
Too much bitterness to share
Though we realize
We much a do about nothing
Too many advices to keep the health
Too many rules to guide our life
And then we realize
We much a do about nothing
Too many strategies to win the battle
Too much work to pay the bill
But we realize
We much a do about nothing
Too much emotion to reason failure
Too many questions to prove loyalty
When we realize
We much a do about nothing
Too much formality for an action
Too many lies for denial
So we realize
We much a do about nothing

Man Said No!
I wanted to build myself a boat
Everyone said that it wouldn't float
As carpentry and boating I do not know
So man unto me, he said no.
I wanted to plant myself a flower
I was told I couldn't without knowledge or a power
I wasn't a gardener so plants I did not grow
So man unto me, he said no.
I wanted to learn myself how to fly
But I was told if I did I would die
In the air to the ground I would crash below
So man unto me, he said no.
I wanted to cook and to become a chef
But I was told that I wasn't mature enough
If I lit a match I would cause and inferno
So man unto me, he said no.
I wanted to learn to play and to enjoy music
But I wasn't allowed to listen to it
I wasn't taught to sing or to play the piano
So man unto me, he said no.
I wanted to learn how to ski
But to my idea everyone did disagree
Everyone knew I loved the cold and the snow
So man unto me, he said no.
I wanted to live my life the way I should
Do what I believed and understand what I could
To my want's and idea's to all I did confess
So man he said no; but GOD he said yes.

Beautiful Sunday
I waited for beautiful Sunday
Normally place chosen as good day
Visiting shrines, mosques or churches
Well considered Him as impossible to reach
Does he really stay there and reside?
Then why he failed to show us or preferred to hide?
We are all busy persons and have many reasons
Why he should stay away when considered as their sons?
Yes I do concede one point in mind
He is not inaccessible to find
Many may tell that he has found good refuge
Only we fail to recognize and refuse
It is bit confusing and strange
This commonsense has come after considerable age
I have learnt to pray all divine forces
As no one has found them after considerable remorse
Take solace or satisfaction for only visiting
Verbal utterances for all sins and admitting
That may reduce heaviness already existed
This is the position and already stated
We may follow as heard of sheep
Only to wait for and sins to keep
Where else we may find the place to weep?
Only remember him to grant a peaceful sleep
Is it not funny to wait for long seven days?
Precious time lost in finding the solution and ways
Only one day to offer for simple blessing
In case something goes wrong or missing

Become
I'll get so close to you
I'll let you down my friend
You see it in this face
And hear it in these words
And i begin to know, and i begin to feel,
Everything i've wanted
And i become a man through you
You find out my needs, this separation,
Push away everything and anyone connected,
To you needs and to your life and to your ties
I'll push it all away,
I said it's all right there for you now
Hey i said it's all right there for you to tell
I'll let you down my friend, i'll turn my back to you
I never meant to leave you, never meant to leave your room
You began alone, and you've begun again, all i wanted for you
I become alive through you,
Can you feel this constant resurrection of needs,
I'm sorry for those things i meant to help you, and i meant to fill you,
And i'll always let you down,
And i'll always put you out,
I'll push it all away,
I said it's all right here for you now
Hey i said it's all right there for you to tell
Thought to feel it in your life
Thought to take your time to grow
I was sent to be here, left to hurt you,
This time it's sad, you've gone
Hey i said it's all right there for you now
Hey i said it's all right there for you too
Hey i said it's all right there for you now
Thought to feel it in your life
Thought to take your time to grow

With An Active Listening
When I stopped taking the offensive side,
Immediately as I had done...
In my inexperienced past.
With a doing,
Whenever I had been called ignorant.
One day I awakened to realize,
It was my own ignorance I defended.
Until I began with a learning process,
That allowed a comprehension to decrease it.
And with an active listening I chose to start doing.

Expression hidden Lady
On my walk, down the way, one day,
By chance I met you in the way,
The one, to hold me in your sway,
Who by I was blinded to stay.
I wanted to convey my thought.
I dared not, as I intended.
What I said is not what I’d meant.
What I meant wasn’t understood.
In the course, you somehow understood
Why I was behind you all the way.
My moves you virtually elbowed
But granted audience at ease.
Sculptures and portraits I enjoy.
Likewise your visions I enjoy.
You are like statues, mute and silent.
Unlike them, you have a soul. Enough.

Accepting To Do It Is Not A Trick
A phase of malaise has taken place.
Aspirations to remove it,
Has exhausted inspiration.
Those with faith and outreaching done,
Are looked upon as dissenters.
But this has to be overcomed.
A phase of malaise has taken place.
Aspirations to remove it,
Has exhausted inspiration.
Some say it is much to late.
And what appears on the horizon,
Is an introduction of an ill fate.
But illusions embraced stay as they are.
If invited into minds,
Believing what appears can not be barred.
But a barring done is a possibility!
If one refuses what one is told is meant to be.
As an accepted reality.
A phase of malaise has taken place.
Aspirations to remove it,
Has exhausted inspiration.
But this too shall pass and be overcomed.
When the feeding to a mind...
Seeks to witness a happiness done.
It's just that simple!
And accepting to do it is not a trick.

Take me to Paris With flowers
Take Me to Paris With Flowers
I'll run away, I'll run away
By your eyes of blue and the skies of gray.
To the heart of France, Paris
The city of love, magic.
I'll run away. I'll run away
Past the doors and gates that lock me,
That controls me.
Into your arms of loving,
Your eyes of wonder.
I'll run away. I'll run away
Through creeks and woods,
Re- Walking the steps that we had once stepped in.
Ride me with your bike,
and my basket of flowers.
That's all we have, something small,
Something, beautiful.
I'll run away, I'll run away
If I hadn't know that our love wasn't meant to be.
You wanted to wait.
Days after days of “wait”.
It's gloomy up here, up in my room,
Waiting and waiting for you.
The flowers have wilted, the skies are crying
Just like my hope had wilted, My tears are falling.
Your real eyes,
Until then I hadn't realize,
That it was just real lies.
All I wanted was a forever, All I wanted was a forever,
But it was just a broken promise,
beside a wilted flower.

Obvious
[Shane:]
Yeah, ooooh...
We started as friends
But something happened inside me
Now I'm reading into everything
But there's no sign you hear the lightning, baby
You don't ever notice me turning on my charm
Or wonder why I'm always where you are
[Shane (Westlife):]
I've made it obvious
Done everything but say it
(I've crushed on you so long, but on and on you get me wrong)
I'm not so good with words
And since you never notice
The way that we belong
I'll say it in a love song
[Bryan (Westlife):]
I've heard you talk about
(Heard you talk about)
How you want someone just like me (Bryan echo: just like me)
But everytime I ask you out
(Time I ask you out)
We never move pass friendly, no no
And you don't ever notice how I stare when we're alone
Or wonder why I keep you on the phone
[Shane (Westlife):]
I've made it obvious
Done everything but say it
(I've crushed on you so long but on and on you get me wrong)
I'm not so good with words
And since you never notice
The way that we belong
I'll say it in a love song
Yeah...
[Mark:]
You are my very first thought in the morning
[Shane:]
And my last at nightfall
[Mark:]
You are the love that came without warning
[Mark & Shane:]
I need you, I want you to know
[Shane (Westlife):]
I've made it obvious
So finally I'll say it
(I've crushed on you so long)
I'm not so good with words
And since you never notice
The way that we belong
I'll say it in a love song
[Westlife:]
And sing it until the day you're holding me
I've wanted you so long but on and on you get me wrong
I more than adore you but since you never seem to see
[Shane:]
But you never seem to see
I'll say it in this love song
