Backward Move These Minds
Sad are those who have isolated themselves,
With beliefs that religion and politics do not mix.
When conflicts fought are because of this.
Sad are those symbolized by myths!
Fixed and tied with lives centered upon it!
And refusing to see beyond their self destructiveness.
Backward move these minds and behind the times.
Like a knocked eightball that drops...
To stop a game that's played.
By someone who has been mocked...
But comes to shock without delay.
Backward move these minds and behind the times.
With wishes to have a game prolonged and sustained.
Sad are those symbolized by myths!
Fixed and tied with lives centered upon it!
And refusing to see beyond their self destructiveness.
Sad are those who have isolated themselves,
With beliefs that religion and politics do not mix.
When conflicts fought are because of this.
Backward move these minds and behind the times.
Like a knocked eightball that drops...
To stop a game that's played.
By someone who has been mocked...
But comes to shock without delay.

A New Era Has Arrived
A new era has arrived
And yet those addicted
To long lasting habits
Are refusing to accept or move
From those times changed
And those who say
They are of strong faith with beliefs
Are the very same people
Who stand in the way
With attempts to block
This progress that proceeds.
A new era has arrived
And yet those addicted
To long lasting habits
Are refusing to accept or move
From those times changed
And
With a stubbornness they are convinced
If they demand with a protesting that commands
'Everything' for them will remain the same
Even if they take matters in their ignorant hands
As if particles of dust
Refusing to be blown away by wind

Some Get Erotic
Some get erotic,
When the bottom drops...
And they hit the rocks.
Like their heads had knocked against,
Acknowledged nonsense.
Some get erotic,
When the bottom drops...
And they hit the rocks.
Like they got up from a shock,
That all their bubbles popped!
And they found out...
They were isolated and locked.
And they found out...
Life is not about what they've got!
And they found out...
They were isolated and locked.
And they found out...
The bottom rushes to the top.
When you're dropping,
Isolated.
When your'e dropping,
And locked.
Some get erotic,
When the bottom drops...
And they hit the rocks.
Like they got up from a shock,
That all their bubbles popped!
And they found out...
They were isolated and locked.
And they found out...

When you're dropping,
Isolated.
When your'e dropping,
And locked.
When you're dropping,
Isolated.
When your'e dropping,
And locked.
Some get erotic,
When the bottom drops...
Like they got up from a shock,
That all their bubbles popped!
And isolated,
When their droppin'
Isolated,
And locked.
Isolated,
When their droppin'
Isolated,
And locked.
Some get erotic,
When the bottom drops...
And a lifestyle stops!
Some get erotic,
When their droppin' isolated and locked.
Some get erotic when the bottom drops...
And a lifestyle stops!
Some get erotic,
When their droppin' isolated and locked.
Some get erotic when the bottom drops...

Stuck In Their Nonexistent Beliefs
It is difficult to leave behind,
Those whose minds are kept defined...
By times no longer here to breathe.
What keeps them fixed,
With such a stubbornness...
Has many refusing to converse with them.
And abruptly from them people leave.
To find fresh air pollution free.
Rapidly changes are amongst us to see.
To witness and adapt appropriately.
But there are those who will remain,
Stuck in their nonexistent beliefs...
That horsedrawn wagons and cobblestone streets,
Were innovations never to be replaced.
Even when shifting winds...
Show an aging upon their disbelieving faces.
With deep concerns that can be traced...
Back to those times they can not let go!
Yet argue to be heard,
Their way of life for 'certain' people...
Is more than well deserved.

Hear I Come-2
All five thousand stand up,
Turn around three times,
Clockwise.
Raise both hands to the sky,
Turn around four times,
Anticlockwise.
Stop!
Bend and touch your toes,
Two times
Stop!
Two thousand sit down,
Cross your legs.
Three thousand stand up:
Wave the banners, right to left,
Five times,
Stop!
Take two steps forward,
One step backward,
Stop!
Throw the confetti,
On the two thousand
And turn three times
Clockwise.
All stand up and shout:
Praise Him!
Praise Him!
Jah!
Take one step backward,
One step forward,
And dip.
Take one step backward,
One step forward
And dip.
Shout:
Praise Him!
Praise Him!
Jah!
Light the banners,
Turn around three times,
Clockwise.
Shout:
Jah! Jah!

Too Many Myths
(Van Morrison)
Too many myths
People just assuming things that aren't true
There's too many myths
Coming between me and you
You might have your name up in lights
But you still have to keep your game uptight
Too many myths
Tell me, tell me how you gonna cope with this
Too many myths
You act like you've never been kissed
You put your name up in lights
And now you gotta keep your game uptight
You got problems
I got problems too
Everybody's gonna think
There must be something wrong with you because
There's just too many myths
Can't you see I'm just trying to stay in the game
Just too many myths
I'm just trying to maintain
Sure I got my name in lights
But I've still gotta keep my game uptight
[Instrumental break]
You got problems
And I got problems too
But that doesn't necessarily mean that
There's something wrong with you
There's just too many myths,
Baby I'm just trying to stay in the game
There's far too many myths
I'm just trying to maintain
I got my name up in lights
But I'm just trying to keep my game uptight

Move In
Move in, move in
Move in, watch me move in
Invite me to a party
Hang some colour on the walls
It makes me feel like eighteen
Im gonna change things for us all
Sooner or later the music goes
I see a trace of sweat on your face
Move in, move in
Remember now the times we had
Move in, watch me move in
Remember now the times we had
Our worlds turned round but thats okay
Yet, things still look the same
People dancing so much
Keep it pushing come what may
Sooner or later the music goes
I see a trace of sweat on your face
Move in, move in
Remember now the times we had
Move in, watch me move in
Remember now the times we had
I see the lights are low now
But still the faces glow
A year thats full of zeros
Yet who knows what that holds
Sooner or later the music goes
I see a trace of sweat on your face
Move in, move in
Remember now the times we had
Move in, watch me move in
Remember now the times we had
Move in, move in
Remember now the times we had
Move in, watch me move in
Remember now the times we had
Move in, move in
Remember now the times we had
Move in, watch me move in
Remember now the times we had
Lead on
Oh the music goes
And I feel it pushing on, baby
I feel its pushing
Push against me
Please, stop
I feel the music
Inside me

Hooked And Fantasized
When did the playing of,
Jeopardy.
Truth Or Consequences.
And Wheel Of Fortune...
Become more seriously played,
Than the game of politics?
And 'that' game has effected,
The Days Of Our Lives...
Far greater than any soap opera,
Created...
To keep us all hooked and fantasized,
As if addicted with wishes to remain delusioned.

Bookends Theme
Why don't we stop fooling ourselves?
The game is over,
Over,
Over.
No good times, no bad times,
There's no times at all,
Just The New York Times,
Sitting on the windowsill
Near the flowers.
We might as well be apart.
It hardly matters,
We sleep separately.
And drop a smile passing in the hall
But there's no laughs left
'Cause we laughed them all.
And we laughed them all
In a very short time.
Time
Is tapping on my forehead,
Hanging from my mirror,
Rattling the teacups,
And I wonder,
How long can I delay?
We're just a habit
Like saccharin.
And I'm habitually feelin' kinda blue.
But each time I try on
The thought of leaving you,
I stop...
I stop and think it over

Dance The Night Away
People get the wrong impression
I wonder if they change their minds
It's an understated sign
Tell me how you see me again
Now we're swinging to the time
It's a meeting of the minds
It's all unbelievable
Look to play it how we say it
If you're meaning to delay it
Hang on
Cos we're moving all around
Chorus
It's up when the party's over
And we want to free our minds
Now I'm telling you there's no hurry
Cos we're choosing to groove
It's so cool to dance the night way
I choose to live a good life
Have a good time and enjoy the ride
Turn it up, break it down, move on
High times took a good turn
Spinning it around cos you gotta learn
To rectify, justify this song
Now we're swinging to the time
It's a meeting of the minds
It's all unbelievable
Look to play it how we say it
If you're meaning to delay it
Hang on
Cos we're moving all around
Chorus x3

There To Awaken Their Senses
The ones refusing to open their eyes,
Ears and minds...
Believing themselves to be immunized,
By the rapidity of changes...
Being made and effecting the stability,
Of many lives lived by the majority.
Need not wonder whether the bricks used,
Are fused with cement or new.
Since the thickness of that wall they will run into,
Is there to awaken their senses to truths.
With the hope they will experience,
Fewer mind altering delusions.
As the year 2012 will dispel many myths.
With no reason to validate, decide or pick...
From a 'Believe It Or Not List',
That may or may not have a reason to exist...
Once those beliefs are realized and removed from doubt,
To be no longer questioned with what if(s) or could be(s) .

Participation Requires
Everyday we awaken,
To a freshness awaiting us...
That has been already made.
Each Sunrise and Sunset,
Comes created...
To be the best as it gets.
Only mindsets are falsely timed,
To move and become upset...
In regretted backward steps.
But nothing experienced,
Here on Earth...
Is created to deliver to anyone regret.
Only mindsets are falsely timed,
To move and become upset...
In regretted backward steps.
With wishes to replace the unknown yet to face.
Choosing to separate from nature,
And isolate an agenda to initiate one's fate.
Everyday we awaken,
To a freshness awaiting us...
That has been already made.
And participation requires,
An observance to digest this...
As we live and obey without delay.

Lame Game
It's all the same,
When a game is played lame!
It's all the same...
A lame game!
It's all the same,
When a game is played lame!
And the game
Being played...
Is so lame!
It's all the same,
When a game is played lame!
It's all the same.
A lame game!
It's all the same,
When a game is played lame,
And the game being played
By the players who play...
Is so tired and lame anyway!
And lame it will stay everyday!
'Cause they 'got no' shame
To play such tired games
Knowing it's all the same,
When a game is played lame!
And the game stays the same
'Cause no one wants to change
From a game that is lame..
And each day that lame game,
Stays the same!

Stubborn Poses
Holding a firm grip,
Onto bitterness and anguish...
From times now that do not exist.
Is something people do!
Why do you choose that to be you?
Schoolyard games and childish antics...
Have many still inviting,
These conflicts in their minds...
To persist and rewind.
Hoping to find themselves validated...
By anyone who has replaced,
A forward movement...
With a backward pace.
Just to appease a waste to accomodate.
Regardless of the foolishness this creates.
And there are those
Who choose to stay in their ruts...
Stuck!
In such outdated...
Mindless stubborn poses!

Dust Mites
Microscopic are lives lived like dust mites,
And inhabitants of a world that spins...
As well as speeds through an expansive eternity.
All are fixed to myths and worship beliefs...
To control what is 'thought' to be their destinies.
There is neither top nor bottom in this universe.
Although those living on Earth,
Have declared North and South Hemispheres.
With wind storms churning,
Counter-clockwise in the Northern one.
And clockwise in the Southern.
It is obvious no human has the power,
To control any of this.
Nor how this may relate to the Sun.
And yet conflicts exist,
To prove who has what to benefit 'whom'?

The Game of Life
Life is a game at which we play.
We make our moves on every day.
Some are right and some are wrong.
We usually look back as we move along.
But looking back doesn't change how we've played
unless you learn from mistakes you've made.
Few are winners and too many lose.
For the games's unfair and when you choose
a move that's not right you later regret
what you did. For you don't forget.
But since life's only a game we play
when the game is finished we finally say
'I should have done this or should have done that'
We fail to recognize that where we're at
is exactly where we should be.

Left to Puff Up to Float
Some folks live,
To stay where they are.
Embracing their yesterdays...
To add their versions that ignites,
An excited wish...
To have those days relived,
As they are told.
The 'how-things-use-to-be' folks...
Swatting away flies from their molded stories.
From a stoop or a porch...
Or from a corner that is now paved,
Where they once played upon a dusty road.
There they stand proud and in the way,
Of someone on the move.
Someone passing through!
As they evaluate each step placed they take!
Discussing amongst themselves...
Whether or not they should approve.
And 'who' thinks they are,
Better than 'who'!
As they become distant from those...
Who have chosen to stay,
With their minds in times frozen and closed!
Recruiting young ones,
Impressed with their stagnation.
Those of similar kind and like minds,
Groomed to complain and whine...
About the current times they find.
Listening to embellished beliefs.
Leaving few taught,
That they should reach...
For their aspirations and dreams,
To become implanted.
For a flourishing tomorrow!
But as sorrows are shared...
A tomorrow for them,
Has yet to occur.
For them this awareness,
Has been for them intentionally blurred!
Or even the notion to live...
And be in the 'now' to stir a motivation!
But this implementation,
Is not a seed sown to harvest...
In minds fed on killer weeds!
Passed and expected,
To be received.
And so they too...
Are left to puff up to float,
Like the others!
To exclaim with their druthers...
How 'good' the stuff to them they get!
Just like 'how-things-use-to-be'...
Yesterday and those days before!

Your Move
Written by terry shaddick and steve kipner, 1983
Found on your move and the very best of america.
I don't understand it 'cause you won't say yes
But you don't say no
Sayin' no we shouldn't you keep holdin' out
But you don't let go
I'm givin' up on trying
To sell you things that you ain't buying
It's your move (your move)
I played all of mine
Time (ah) is running out
Make your move (your move)
Or we can't go on
Till (ah) you understand
It's all in your hands
It's your move
You're giving me the business with that old come on
But you don't come across
You get me so excited don't you know you're such a tease
When i think you're gettin' hot, you're not
(oo) so what's the problem, what's wrong
This kiss and miss you know it can't go on
It's your move (your move)
I played all of mine
Time (ah) is running out
Make your move (your move)
Or we can't go on
Till (ah) you understand
It's all in your hands
It's your move
(know it can't go on) go on
I'm givin' up on trying now it's (your move)
Girl, if you ain't buyin' now it's (your move)
I gave it all i got now it's (your move)
I thought you were hot but you're not so it's (your move, your move, your move)
It's your move (your move, ah)
I played all of mine
Time is running out
Make your move (ah, oh)
Or we can't go on
Till you understand
It's all in your hands
It's your move
It's your move (your move, ah)
I played all of mine
Time is running out
Make your move (ah, oh)
Or we can't go on
Till you understand
It's all in your hands
It's your move
It's your move (your move, ah)
I played all of mine
Time is running out

Life chess
It was like yesterday
that I saw two soldiers
play a game of chess,
both were just pawns
in the hands of an evil being.
They fell from the board
and were placed horizontal
right next to it,
as if their existence
didn’t really matter.
Their lives were wasted
and somewhere back in the states
their status changed to the departed,
before the game of war
had really started.
It was like yesterday
that I saw two soldiers die,
shot out of their vehicle
by a rocket propelled grenade
and splattered, scorched and burnt.
Without choice I was part of the game
and just the Lord knows
from where true courage came
and at times I and my brothers
fought the fight
to the best of our ability.
Today peace reigns
and the game is over and done
and all my brothers have gone,
but at times it all again
becomes real to me
and forever I am at war
with the demons in my soul.

One Card Short
(first verse)
Life's just a game
We all wanna win
Keep your hand a secrets
Unleash the monsters within
Sometimes it's over
Before it's even begun
If someone else get hurt
Then what have you really won
(chorus)
I'm always one card short
Always one day late
For once I'd like an ending
I can celebrate
Stacked the deck myself, so there's no one else to blame
I need just one more move
One final chance to prove...
I can win this game
(second verse)
Life's just a duel
That's how the world is made
But are we all players
Or are we being played
(chorus)
I'm always one card short
Always one day late
For once I'd like an ending
I can celebrate
Stacked the deck myself, so there's no one else to blame
I need one more move
One final chance to prove...
I can win this game
(third verse)
Is what happens next in your control
Are you doing what you want, or what you've been told
Do you choose the cards from your own hands
Or are we all just puppets in a master plan
One more move
(chorus)
One card short
One day late
Give me something
Something to celebrate
Stacked the deck myself, so there's no one else to blame
One more move, I'm gonna win this game
I'm gonna win this game
I'm gonna win this game
One more move, I'll win this game
Everybody celebratesecond verse
