Religiously Political
There are those who say,
Religion and politics do not mix.
But those who pray for blessings...
Are hoping when they arrive,
They can avoid a tax applied.
And any wish dreamed that comes...
Has a politician greeting you with a smile.
Knowing all the while...
Whatever you get,
The government is going to get lots of it!
And 'whatever' is claimed you own,
Eventually will be lifted!
Everyone pays a price...
Even to flaunt pretentions!
Leaving those teased,
With beliefs they can breathe freely.

Knowing Very Little
Someone knows 'someone'
Who has been quick to express disappointment,
Regretted.
That 'someone' who believes,
They were annointed to know everything...
Just because God has given them air to breathe.
Those folks are the ones,
Who say they have no interest in politics.
Announcing that religion and politics do not mix.
And knowing very little about either.
And even knowing less on a daily basis.
They do not read or participate in community activities.
And yet appear on a neighbor's doorstep,
Out of breath to express...
'What in the world is going on?
Do you know what I just found out?
I 'heard' there were problems with the economy.
And there was this Black guy on TV...
MY TV!
Telling me about changes he is going to make.
What on Earth?
Have you seen him?
Is this some kind of a joke?
What happened to Bush?
I feel I am about to have a stroke! '
They remain confined,
Out of touch and time.
And soon...
Out of their minds!

The law demands good works and uses its terror--rejection, shame, fear of punishment, unanswered prayer, personal tragedy, etc.--as motivation. Here performance is a necessity to secure the blessings and avoid the curses. Grace, on the other hand, allows us to serve on a different basis--not from fear but on the basis of love and gratitude, from appreciation and gladness for blessings freely given and freely received.

That One with Pride
Too many arrive expecting.
Anticipating to be gifted,
With the granting of their instant wishes.
Too many sit believing they can demand.
With hands extended and opened like cups...
Hoping this is noticed and their hands will be filled up.
Too many wait at a table to eat,
Without one concern...
As to who pays and buys the groceries.
Or who pays the rent or mortgage.
Or...
Who satisfies them,
With the keeping on of the utilities.
Too many arrive expecting.
And among them few are accountable!
Or could care less what it takes,
To be the one identified...
As that one with pride and responsibilities.
That one who isn't waiting.
Or feeling entitled to be served.

Obstacles Arrive
Adapt.
Accept facts.
Avoid traps of beliefs...
That a picking which is liked from life,
And as perceived...
Is okay to leave behind,
All that is disliked on a path one finds.
Obstacles arrive not as ornaments to wear.
To one day disappear as if,
Not a one had ever been there.
Adapt.
Accept facts.
Avoid traps of beliefs...
That a picking which is liked from life,
As perceived...
Is okay to leave behind,
All that is disliked on a path one finds.
This that is here,
Has been labelled a tree.
See it?
That which is above us,
Has been called a sky!
Can you see it?
Those who stare over there back at us,
Are referred to as people!
You can wave...
It's okay!
And you...
Believe this or not,
Are one of them.
So am I.
Like a you.
Like a me.
Like a we...
Are all a part of a 'they' and a 'them'.
And for all of us...
Obstacles arrive!

Politics And Religion
My friend politics and religion, are two topics that cause division,
The two can create in our life, many arguments and much strife.
Dear friend everybody is political, affected by the governing will,
And friend religion plays a part, in each and every human heart.
The two create much consternation, in the peoples of the nation,
With fear of what life could be, affecting the lives of you and me.
They polarize the heart of men, in ways we cannot comprehend,
Creating many political forces, some of which, religion endorses,
These issues we’re told to avoid, by men who become annoyed,
But my friend, it can’t be denied, these issues fester deep inside.
To avoid them is perpetrated by, that old Devil, the Father of lies,
Satan wants you to be deceived, so in the end, He’ll be believed.
For in the end, it shall be politics, this is the one that Satan picks,
Supported by the man’s religion, causing the world much derision.
The beast and false prophet friend, will merge together in the end,
Creating a political religious order, that moves across every border.
In the end politics won’t be denied, with no place for hearts to hide,
The politics men avoided my friend, shall religiously bring their end.
As men will believe Satan’s lie, the False Prophet they won’t deny,
But they’ll deny Jesus Christ, receiving eternal death instead of life.

To save manpower
Life is ugly; we don’t know why.
Confusion shrouds; fear engulfs.
Fear for the Unknown unfolds.
Beliefs and dogmas catch us.
Beliefs are imposed on our fears.
Beliefs are only an escape route.
It is mere a pain killer.
Religion becoming ritual,
We waste time pursuing religion.
Religion shed, manpower is saved.

Let us pray Islam will avoid a religious dark age
a dark age like Spanish Inquisition Christianity

pray Islam may avoid an evil inquisition campaign
torture mutilation mass murder destruction errors
Pray Islam avoids an Inquisition era of Terrorism.
Inquisitors of any religion are abomination to God.

God
Written by ugly kid joe
God, please push me in the right direction
God, Im hoping that youll understand
God, Im trying to make amends now
God, Im asking for your guiding hand
Everybodys got the wrong opinion
Everybody says whats on their mind
Everybodys got the wrong tradition
Everybody pray to the man
God, Im reading in your holy books now
God, Im singing and Im not afraid
God, Im looking for the only way out now
God, Im hoping that I can be saved
Everybodys got the wrong religion
You wont say whats on your mind
Some wont hear why others listen
Everybody pray to the man
Why dont you ever answer questions
Now my faith is slipping away
Im looking in a different direction
Believing is the only way
Everybodys got their own tradition
(everybodys got the wrong religion)
Everybodys got their own salvation
(everybodys got the wrong submission)
Everybodys got their own religion
(everybodys got the wrong tradition)
Everybody pray to the man

As a politician who cherishes religious conviction in his personal sphere, but regards politics as a domain belonging outside religion, I believe that this view is seriously flawed.

They Go In To Come Out To Do What?
They say they have beliefs.
And collectively they are seen...
Going in with them.
But they come out to do what?
They say they have traditions.
Standards to uphold.
Lifestyles to embrace.
With a quality of life,
Hard work takes.
They pray to keep them.
And claim to have faith.
However...
When they are seen,
On the day they pray and worship...
To spend time to gain answers and strength.
With Him!
They go in and come out to do what?
I do not see what they believe applied!

One Sweet Day (feat. Mariah Carey)
with Carey Mariah)
Sorry I never told you
All I wanted to say
And now it's too late to hold you
'cause you've flown away
So far away
Never had I imagined
Living without your smile
Feeling and knowing you hear me
It keeps me alive
Alive
Refrain:
And I know you're shining down on me from heaven
Like so many friends we've lost along the way
And I know eventually we'll be together
One sweet day
Eventually we'll sing in heaven
Darling I never showed you
Assumed you'd always be there
And I took your presence for granted
But I always cared
And I miss the love we shared
And I know you're shining down on me from heaven
Like so many friends we've lost along the way
And I know eventually we'll be together
One sweet day
Eventually we'll sing in heaven
Although the sun will never shine the same
I'll always look to a brighter day
Lord I know when I lay me down to sleep
You will always listen as I pray
And I know you're shining down on me from heaven
Like so many friends we've lost along the way
And I know eventually we'll be together
One sweet day
And I know you're shining down on me from heaven
Like so many friends we've lost along the way
And I know eventually we'll be together
One sweet day
Eventually we'll sing in heaven
Sorry I never told you
All I wanted to say

The Freedom To Just Be In Peace
A price to pay for peace?
Is that a prerequisite needed,
For a tax one pays for air to breathe?
Or is the freedom to just be in peace,
Not considered a viable commodity to market.
And the price to chase it has been deemed cost effective.

Pre-Conditioned
Most of us,
Have been pre-conditioned...
To find good jobs.
Odd or not...
But that job sought,
We eventually got!
Instead of creating them.
Most of us,
Had been in that position.
And pre-conditioned...
To look for something already there.
Without paving a path with motivation.
Hoping what we did...
Secured us for years,
And would last!
Passing along that abstraction,
To our 'kids'.
Most of us...
Seek approval from some.
To find out from them,
If they accept what we've done.
Most of us...
Live lives confused.
And sit to await...
For that sacrifice to be appreciated.
With a love developed to sing the blues...
Feeling distraught and sometimes used.
And others who seem to fulfill their dreams...
Are often the ones who come to stun,
Some,
Who complain nothing for them changes.
Becoming strangers...
Even to themselves.
While those of us stay pre-conditioned,
To superstitions and beliefs.
And tied religiously,
With pleas to relieve us from sorrow and grief.
Fixed in prayer,
And down on our knees.
Stuck without movement...
As if sealed,
In concrete!
Hoping God...
Will bestow upon us our desires!
With His understanding...
We are obedient as we sit.
To observe a miracle!
And demanding He delivers it.
Leaving God to wonder what it is,
We wish.
Since He has not seen,
Any evidence of those on their knees...
Applying any elbow grease,
And/or working towards it!
Whatever it is that is wished.
Knowing His creations are here to benefit.
With the aid of His assistance.
And He too waits...
To see who takes the initiative!
And most of us,
He knows.
Just don't get,
This process.

A Cure For The Broken
I swallow lumps of aching beats called lies
tormenting my body infecting what was said to be my heart
turning it more red, more love corrupted
ticking ticking away at my flesh
drilling this love throughout my body so very fast
i breathe an endless breath knowing you have the power to take it away
away forever leaving me breathless and anxious
as if i had never learned how to breathe
and killing me almost instanly for breath is not exhaled
i stare at the back of my mind i call yours
for memories of this love swim as if so filled through it
drowning me with these happy thoughts causing me to smile
evern if my face has tatooed only a frown
leaving no chance of a smile to arise, to form, TOO empty
even if water fills my mind by the second
i have no filling left to make me fell cured
cured from this disease i rapidly call love
for im addicted to the uncertainty of knowing how to feel
addicted to the love i never knew i could have
as long as i stand i have the power to breathe
as long as i breathe my heart has the power to beat
as long as it beats i have the power to love
and as long as i love i have the power to live
but what if dieing comes first?

Without Donated Sympathy
They are afraid to be discovered,
As imbeciles!
So to avoid this exposure...
Laws were amended.
Rules were changed!
Quotas were enforced
To keep those deranged in control!
And even though everyone pays the price,
For their lack of knowledge and skill...
Or guidance with advice!
Those who have been subjected,
To this effective neglect that has affected respect...
Stand on the sidelines
Forced to hear them whine,
About every aspect of their sorrows!
With or without donated sympathy.
Hoping tomorrow...
Care packages of 'insight'
Is dropped by the tons from the sky!
'Let's keep out fingers crossed! '

I Am Not Religious
My friend, religious I am not, when by you I’m put on the spot,
My belief is found in only one; God’s Only Risen, Eternal Son.
This isn’t a belief found in men, but, in one who died for them,
And Christ, who died, rose again, to offer New Life to all men.
Religion’s a man’s institution; a fallen man’s religious solution,
Devised upon this earthly sod, in man’s attempt to reach God,
Embracing indeed a broad array, of beliefs in our present day,
Beliefs men embrace religiously, so other men around can see.
Our salvation is all of God’s Idea, to regain for us life eternally,
That’s why I cling only to Christ, the very Author of Eternal Life.
Religion calls The Author a liar, as it sets its belief much higher,
Than the True Sovereign Lord, leaving many Truths unexplored.
Religious is a common phrase, used by men in different ways,
And many can be religious friend, not knowing God in the end.
The religion that I speak of, compromise God’s Truth and Love,
Having a form of godliness, as it lacks Christ’s Righteousness.
Friend religious I may have been, back before I was Born Again,
But now religion plays no part, with Jesus living within my heart.
Now all my life I live for Him, Christ, who saved me from my sin,
Not to live the present religiously, but to live with Christ eternally.

Leaving
You're leaving and it hurts me so.
I know though that you have to go.
You've found a new and better path.
That makes you happier free at last.
If leaving for them makes things better.
I wrap you up with my blessings like a sweater.
I want you thrilled in every way.
In body and soul,
let your spirit soar and be freely gay.
