A Way Chosen To Travel

Some things are better left unspoken.
Like being too direct,
When one should be more reflective.

Some folks have it in them,
To be objective.
When a few will intuitively know...
Which action to take,
And which ones to let go.

Some things are better left unspoken.
Or when said...
Should be as if a joke.

Folks are less inclined,
To become provoked...
When approached in a less serious manner.
Curbing conflict with more playful banter.

Then a listening is done with more intent...
When a punchline follows,
That is delivered and meant...
To knock some sense into minds,
Concreted stubbornly in cemented nonsense!

Some things are better left unspoken.
Like being too direct,
When one should be more reflective.

There is a way to invoke,
What should be heard and spoken.
And that road one wishes not to take alone...
With others one desires to follow,
Convinced and condoning...
That a way chosen to travel,
Was a decisive choice as collectively shown.

Unspoken

There's so many things
I'd like to say, but I can't not today.
So many things unspoken.
It leaves me tired and broken.

I'm so afraid you'll think me a joke,
if of these things I spoke.
Unspoken they remain,
feeling that I cannot explain.
I'm exausted from refrain.
To you I don't dare complain.

If to you these words were spoken.
I fear that you would leave me broken.
Then I'd definetley feel like croakin.
Unspoken these things will remain,
and there's no one to be blamed.
For I think we both feel ashamed,
of these things I cannot explain.
So forever they shall remain unspoken

The Power of Words

An unspoken word is only a thought.
So many things we need to hear in life.
So many thoughts go unspoken.
They lay dormant in the abyss of our minds.
Like a flower that never blooms.
When spoken they spring into action.
They give life.
Flowers bloom in spring.
Spring is the season of love.
Let your words be like spring every day.

Unspoken

Unspoken
By: Adam M. Snow

You torment me with your bladed tongue;
if only you knew my life is left unsung.
Now I am broken;
blind, and left unspoken;
with my dreams shattered by you;
for now I know not what to do.

I am left with a voice of silence;
all alone in the distance.
My words I want to say remains unspoken;
for I wonder, 'Will I ever be unbroken? '
Your words still scorn my soul;
for it feels that I am left to rot in this hole.
You showed me your heart of ice;
yet I ask, 'Is my life the price? '

Your bladed tongue pierced my heart;
all because of you, I have fallen apart.
You speak of broken truth;
yet you say I am uncouth.
You push me away and call me a freak;
for all you have done, now silence is what I speak.

I am a ghost with words left unspoken;
standing over my essence, shattered and broken.
Your words are torment;
is this not your intent?
I am tainted by your selfishness;
for my feelings I cannot express.
I am broken because of you;
I only wish you knew.

Travel far we did, thou not forever and ever.
Things, Unspoken conquered, words not
Enough............please! ! !

Some Things Are Better Left Unsaid

I feel like I could run away
Looking at a darker day
Oh Im pulling the shades away from my eyes
Its true the moody manners come and go
And its better that you never know
Some things are better left unsaid
Some strings are better left undone
Some hearts are better left unbroken
Some lives are better left untouched
Some lies are better off believed
Some words are better left unspoken
My ideas seem to frighten you
Are you really that afraid to move
Oh I guess that its your right to reason
Im still dealing with a force thats so strong
The force is stringing us along

Fixed As If Cemented

Those who remain with wishes,
To see things as they would choose to view them.
And not how things are.
Since things are the way they have been...
Unchanged and unbending.
Fixed as if cemented.
There is nothing to say,
To those like that.

Those who disbelieve,
Things are not as they are seen.
But 'should' be the way they would 'like'?
That is alright.
Do not frustrate in argument with them.
Your time...
Not theirs,
Is to mellow like fine wine.
Know this!

Others who have had these 'things'...
Just as they are and wish to leave them that way.
Defend their points of view.
Despite what it is you do.
Whether you condone what is done or not.

And it is difficult to get that across to some people.

But not for the few!
Who have chosen their own lives to live.
And have chosen to do the best they can...
To assist,
With any apparent awakening...
Some stand by and expect.

However,
If things as they are as observed are accepted...
By those affected.
And they wish things to be just the way they are?
'Left-a-lone! '
It is better to leave what is seen that way.
ALONE!

Turn away from it and live one's own life.
Frustration free and nurturing one's peace of mind!

Unless?
There is always an 'unless' involved.

Unless...
One has desires to remain in darkness!
And argue about the prospects,
Of a light that could shine...
Between two ears already known closed.

Optimistic people love the concept of options!

Although,
Some narrow minds will never open that wide!

Have You Ever Done That Before?

Your 'things' do not make you a better human being.
You may believe they establish you a status.
But there is something that can be said about pretense...
That leaves those hungering to spend their time,
With people who express a common sense...
From thought producing minds.

It is a rarity to find folks,
Who have not been tainted or provoked...
By teased materialistic dreams.
Or the kind of people who become identified...
By where they live and what they drive.
Living a quality of life that seems delightfully contrived.
Yet inside of them there is a frightful hollowness...
That is silently screamed,
And quietly demeaning them.

Your 'things' do not make you a better human being.
And their absence,
Also has not revealed you possess an integrity.

With your identity gone packed away with your 'things'...
And no integrity left you can display or bring,
What is it that you claim you can give to offer?
Superficiality?
Okay...
And,
What else do you have besides that?

Do you have anything we can chew on that's concrete?
How about a conversation we all can contribute.
Have you ever done that before?
Had you considered comprehending after listening,
To complete sentences...
Delivered to your assuming ears.

Unspoken Words

My thoughts are going back - back to the time
When I was young to live a life
A life of lies - full of lies
Then you came into my life
And youve changed so many things
That Ive done before - that Ive done before
Without you Ive been so alone
Dont leave me this way
Without you Ive been so alone
Dont leave me this way
You treated me the right way
You always said dont give up
Some day you will see what I have done
And when I start thinking about me
Then I find out
You did it right - just right
Without you Ive been so alone
Dont leave me this way
Without you Ive been so alone
Dont leave me this way
Unspoken words - so many unspoken words
They cannot lie to me anymore
Unspoken words - words so full of meaning
They cannot lie, theyre from inside
Unspoken words
Back to start again - were working still together
More than ever - better than before
Better than before
Without you Ive been so alone
Dont leave me this way
Without you Ive been so alone
Dont leave me this way - dont leave me this way
Unspoken words - so many unspoken words
They cannot lie to me anymore
Unspoken words - words so full of meaning
They cannot lie, theyre from inside
All those unspoken words so many, many unspoken words
They cannot lie to me anymore, oh yeah
Without you Ive been so alone
Dont leave me this way, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Unspoken words...

My Broken Heart

I am alone most of the time.
But oh how can that be?
A room full of people where I am
and loneliness is with me.

My mind is drifting in and out
while conversation can be heard.
But silence has taken over my heart
because of your unspoken word.

My heart is broken from words unspoken
and breathing is a chore.
The sound of your voice is what I need
just as I did before.

I am alone most of the time
and you're not even aware.
You're off and about doing your thing
and life is too hard to bear.

But bear it I must. Bear it I will
and I owe you nothing now.
For you took everything when you left
and left me with a vow

to take back the life I gave to you
and treat it tenderly.
And when I'm alone most of the time
I will not cry for thee.

Changes Occur

Needs unspoken aren't more pronounced.
Because something said often goes misread.
Expressions that are heard,
Describes what then is given.
Changes occur within everyone...
We know that is true,
We all have been fools!
I know I have...
I can tell you have too!
That is why we must release,
Things others say...
How we convey them,
And the affects that were left
For purposes to burden both me and you!

Rapture

Rapture
By: Adam M. Snow

We leave yet we leave love ones behind.
We leave yet they remain unspoken and blind.
If only they had known;
now they're all alone.

We leave to go to a world anew;
I truly feel sorry for you;
You choose your own way;
now you're left in this sin filled world to stay

I just wish we all had been ready;
but it seems that even a child could see;
how you're left behind;
unspoken and blind.

We leave to go to a world anew;
wishing you were here with us too.
There's nothing left for us to do;
but to praise our Lord and God so true.

Between Those Spoken And Unspoken

between those unspoken
and those unspoken
lies this space of my
indulgence.let my poetry speak.
it is gentle.

the unspoken hides and shies
away a little bit
like a child

his heart is always pure.
and he does not speak.
he simply comes near you
and holds your hands
looks at you and smiles.

words do not help him.
purity speaks without them.

I Accept Apologies

Have I done many things,
That were 'blindly' experimenttal?
Well...
I was not completely blind.
And yes,
I confess to being adventurous.

Do I have regrets,
For doing those things...
That were less socially accepted?

Gee...
You have no idea how I wish,
These questions you ask...
Were from a multiple choice test.

But...
I was born with a creative nature.
And I've done my best to express those interests.
So...
Even though some folks may have been upset,
I have no regrets.

Hopefully a time will come,
When more will welcome that choice to live.
And people will remove their noses,
From cracks and crevices on other folks exposed.
I keep my fingers crossed on that!

'You are direct and bold,
Aren't you? '

What did you expect?
Apologies made with excuses?

'Well...
Yes.
I guess.'

I accept apologies!
But...
Excuses I don't make.

Unspoken truth

The truth hidden in me

Is the thing nobody can see.

I am acting as a treasure keeper,

Hiding it to be discovered.

Truth has its own fate

Reality is known by it.

After knowing the truth,

You will know what it worth.

Things seen by eye and heard by ear

Will not be believed and not to be care.

This is the only truth unspoken.

It’s thee truth of life,

Hide it to survive.

If anybodies knows

Please don’t let it to flow.

If shared than gone,

All will run towards the throne.

Beauty of life end there

When unspoken truth of life is know here.

Mentally Sick

When imbeciles are encouraged,
They take pride in the mounting of ignorance.
Listening to others is a joke to them.
They have ridiculous actions figured out!
Planning escapades with supporters...
They find a way to make common sense
A challenge to keep afloat!
For those who have long divorced themselves
From nonsense!
Even though they vote...
To discover themselves choking,
On ethnic jokes provoked!
Watching folks accept being duped and doped!

And it is the burden of those with senses left,
To find fresh creative ways to explain
'How' they could allow such bullshit to exist...
To sustain and maintain.
As they become more addicted
To pretending they too...
Aren't mentally sick!
Although they follow fools
Whether poor or rich,
Out of habit!
Showing signs they are clearly insane,
With their empathetic static!

In Need Of An Audience

The ones with egos,
Seem to always bring their mysteries...
To be addressed.
With a massaging done constantly.
While those with credentials,
Appear to have less to express.
Bearing nothing with them to appease,
Or tease anyone to impress.

The ego driven,
Seem to wish their interests known.
These folks no one can just walk pass.

As those of true accomplishment,
Deliver their deeds with a speed to be believed.
To leave those who strut,
With pomp vacant of circumstance.
And feeding on a need for attention shown.
Overblown, overstaged and miscast.

Doers of accomplishments,
Never find themselves uncomfortable.
Not in environments where they are left alone.
Wherever they are,
They appear to be relaxed.
Almost as if they wish this to be condoned.

'I'm in need of an audience!
Where can I get an audience quick? '
Are the frantic fed panics of those with egos.
And making themselves sick.
With wishes to flap their lips a bit.

These thoughts are on the minds of those,
With a need to have their egos 'breathe'.
In a desperate unspoken desire to please.

In an approved acceptance they must solicit...
To feel themselves qualified.
Approved!
And undeniably received.

Heat And Ice Could Together Dwell

I may come to feel it but never come to say,
How others feel about what I do...
They have a choice to accept or refuse,
If they choose.

And that depends on what is done.
And if it is done with an intent.
If I am responding to a specific action,
Then what I choose to do is direct and meant.

Oh I can be arrogant and I can be rude.
I can be tempermental and give attitude too.
I can be distant and be cold as hell.
Even though I've never understood how heat and ice,
Could together dwell.

And that depends on what is done.
And if it is done with an intent.
If I am responding to a specific action,
Then what I choose to do is direct and meant.

I may come to feel it but never come to say,
How others feel about what I do...
They have a choice to accept or refuse,
If they choose.

But when I'm pushed to the limit I can freeze and steam.
With a melting to eventually thaw,
To become someone's manipulated putty!
Showing a protective crust although within a soften dough.
And I hate it when its known I just puff to blow smoke.

Left to Puff Up to Float

Some folks live,
To stay where they are.
Embracing their yesterdays...
To add their versions that ignites,
An excited wish...
To have those days relived,
As they are told.

The 'how-things-use-to-be' folks...
Swatting away flies from their molded stories.
From a stoop or a porch...
Or from a corner that is now paved,
Where they once played upon a dusty road.

There they stand proud and in the way,
Of someone on the move.
Someone passing through!
As they evaluate each step placed they take!
Discussing amongst themselves...
Whether or not they should approve.
And 'who' thinks they are,
Better than 'who'!
As they become distant from those...
Who have chosen to stay,
With their minds in times frozen and closed!

Recruiting young ones,
Impressed with their stagnation.
Those of similar kind and like minds,
Groomed to complain and whine...
About the current times they find.

Listening to embellished beliefs.
Leaving few taught,
That they should reach...
For their aspirations and dreams,
To become implanted.
For a flourishing tomorrow!

But as sorrows are shared...
A tomorrow for them,
Has yet to occur.
For them this awareness,
Has been for them intentionally blurred!

Or even the notion to live...
And be in the 'now' to stir a motivation!
But this implementation,
Is not a seed sown to harvest...
In minds fed on killer weeds!
Passed and expected,
To be received.

And so they too...
Are left to puff up to float,
Like the others!
To exclaim with their druthers...
How 'good' the stuff to them they get!
Just like 'how-things-use-to-be'...
Yesterday and those days before!

Unbroken

(holly lamar, annie roboff)
How I ever lived and breathed before you loved me, I dont recall
If I walked around at all, it was in bits and pieces
Of a jagged heart
You kissed me and every piece went back in place, every pain got erased
You held me up to the light
No one ever left me out in the rain
Cold words still remain unspoken
And I never got lost, spent years in the dark
Youre here, now my hearts unbroken
When I see your smile fill my soul again
Im unbroken
If I doubted the power of love, baby now I understand
I thank God for every day I wake up to the soft touch
Of your magic hands
In this world sometimes the only thing thats real is the way you make me feel
Babe, the changes day and night
I swear its life
No one ever left me out in the rain
Cold words still remain unspoken
And I never got lost, spent years in the dark
Youre here, now my hearts unbroken
When I see your smile fill my soul again
Im unbroken
I still see the night, I fell into your eyes
And when we made love it felt like the first time
No one ever left me out in the rain
Cold words still remain unspoken
And I never got lost, spent years in the dark
Youre here, now my hearts unbroken
When I see your smile fill my soul again
Im unbroken
When I see your smile fill my soul again
Im unbroken
Im unbroken, oh yeah
Im unbroken
No one ever left me out in the rain
Cold words still remain unspoken
And I never got lost, spent years in the dark
Youre here, now my hearts unbroken
When I see your smile fill my soul again
Im unbroken

Words Unspoken

Why sing a lonely song?
The whole world knows that love goes wrong
Why loose a heart that isnt broken?
It isnt broken, it cant be broken
Lifes just a show for free
Come along and watch with me
The only sins are words unspoken
Words unspoken, never spoken
Sweet things come and go
Give me shame, Ill give you wow
To live for love isnt so easy
It isnt easy, it wont be easy!
How all good men try
Look around and wonder why
Can they shape this world to please me
Can they please me, should they please me?
I follow but maybe youll correct me
I wish youd never met me
For I am your gentle man
I follow and while you watch and wonder
I call my world a sundown
And show you who I am
Send me a gentle dream
Of love so strange its never seen
And proof how such a love can happen
It can happen, make it happen
Fine things tumble down
Fade away without a sound
But hope must never end or slacken
Never slacken, never slacken
I follow but maybe youll correct me
I wish youd never met me
I am your gentle man
I follow and while you watch and wonder
I call my world a sundown
And show you who I am
