A Quickened Pace Erases
Cleared are those images smudged,
From a window shut and long locked.
The stains upon the framed pane,
Seemed so fixed.
So transfixed by darkness witnessed.
Until a reflection had been replaced.
With renewed cleared vision.
To show a smile on one's face.
A defection traced but long accepted.
And believing to have affected from the outside!
Not true.
A fresh stride renovates.
And a quickened pace...
Erases.

(Sufiyana) I Dance, I Dance
Whirling images flashing past
Your white robe
Your face
Ahhh....that face
The moon paled in comparison
Divine in its purity
Smile that said You were free
Free from all desires and longings
Eyes without any layers
With a direct door to Your inner spirit
Your movements with the grace of the stars in the nightsky
The mist in my vision cleared looking at You
And
I dance
I dance, I dance, I dance, I dance
Like Your whirling images
Keeping pace with them
Never to let them run away

Empty Spaces
In a room long left vacant, he sits at the window looking out, cobwebs adorn the room like Christmas decorations. The window glass dirty from neglect.
In his reverie he hears the joy now past, sounds of fun and laughter. Long gone but not forgotten.
A movement in the corner of his eye, a glimpse of a reflection in the window pane, but he learnt long ago not to focus on them as they would vanish.
Darkness falls and the moon rises over the garden and casts it glow on her face, she has returned to him again this evening to bestow her smile on him, her lips move, no sound, but words perfect, fall upon his ears.
Without him turning she stands beside him, slips her hand in his, just to let him know.

Glossed Over To Shine And Gleem
What appeared in my mind,
At one time to have been abstract...
Has long cleared from my vision to obstruct.
No matter how abstract,
Those wishing to keep hidden out of sight those facts.
Hindrances I spent time to quiz,
Have vanished from the attention I had given.
I see now why the picture created had been distorted.
To eliminate those questions truth would support.
Now exported to never import or aborted to deport.
What appeared in my mind,
At one time to have been abstract...
Has long cleared from my vision to obstruct.
To realize there are reasons to confuse,
And corrupt a mind off-track to misguide.
And speeches delivered,
Have nothing to do with what is on exhibit.
Although those who seek glamour...
Are thrilled to hear from someone understanding,
How much they have a need to safeguard their delusions.
With a keeping of a tour glossed over to shine and gleem!

Allowing Themselves to Die
They are allowing themselves to die.
As if to hide their indisgressions.
They lie to themselves.
To protect from an array of delusions.
Infections inflicted,
And they still sit.
Worrying if their incest infestations...
Will save them from the grave.
So they pray as taught.
Believing this protects them from hidden sins.
Believing denials provide a truth,
As a darkness closes in.
Believing no one knows,
They suffer from their own chosen sorrows.
Hoping tomorrow will erase their disgrace.
But they have replaced honesty!
And that is written on each and every face.
They choose to be fools.
And that with deception to them is traced!
Quietly...
Although without honor or with grace!

Perfected and Over-rehearsed
Not a few,
But far too many...
Have become disillusioned and mystified,
By the quickened fast pace of change...
That has taken place.
Leaving those wide eyed quite surprised.
Spoiled and embroiled by choices of isolation.
Believing decisions made would remain sustained.
Creating superstitions within accepted standards,
Of division...
Has weakened values and traditions.
And foundations trembling...
With once tried and true,
Restrictions.
Faltering a quality of life for all,
By hidden agendas and undenied admissions.
Not a few,
But far too many...
Have become disillusioned and mystified,
By the quickened fast pace of change...
That has taken place.
Leaving those wide eyed quite surprised.
With wishes to return to comforts yearned...
To free from the rising of conflicts,
That has today showered many with concern.
Although hoping lessons that seem hard to learn,
Has not come upon them too late to recreate...
What is observed.
When a listening done to comprehend and correct...
Was not prioritized as an objective first.
To protect from a neglect...
Perfected and over-rehearsed.

The music rights at the time cost me $12,000 in 1964 money, which is about double now or whatever. But I cleared everything. I had a lawyer in New York. And it was cleared for use in a short subject, not a feature.

Reflection and refraction.
As long as we do not pay,
another human well,
we will not be paid well.
As long as we do not appreciate,
the intelligence and innocence,
we will not be appreciated.
As long as we are not aware,
of our own strength and weakness,
we will not be enlightened.
As long as we do not love,
and understand another human,
we will not be loved and understood.
As long as another man's face,
does not smile at us, realize,
his face is our reflection.

Get Out of The House
Shut up!
Sit down...
And listen!
You did what you had to do!
The throne was never meant for you to sit,
Sprewing tantrums and bad habits forever!
Attempting cleverness...
Believing all your fits should be accepted!
There's nothing great about your approach,
And outlook on life!
Your disasterous plan
Has come from the darkened corners to centerstage!
And the only one appearing to be shocked is you!
Shut up!
Sit down...
And listen!
You and your clan,
Ran on self delusion too long!
You've invaded common sense
With senseless ignorance.
And much of that you sold on people's pride!
That 'downhome' approach
Played enough to scatter rats!
Even they got tired of the lies!
Shut up!
Sit down!
You may have seen yourself,
As a cat who was able to deliver the cheese!
But you are a fool.
And that is a fact!
You and the others
Brought a kingdom to its knees!
And that is treason by any name,
For those whose mindsets have not been diseased...
Or drained by your games!
Shut up!
Sit down...
And listen!
The image of your 'vision' is done!
Collect your ego and history shifting myths.
There's a lot that has to be completed!
And anyone who is sane can see,
You have no brains for it!
Shut up!
Sit down...
And listen!
Get out of the house and go fishin'!

Rain Keeps Fallin
I remember the night so well.
The rain was fallin but I just couldnt tell,
If it was you that was callin to my love-sick brain.
But the rain kept fallin on my window pane.
Out of the night the thunder rang in my ear.
I cant fight the feelin, lord, that brings forth my fears.
I wish it was over, lord, please stop the rain.
The rain thats fallin on my window pane.
The rain thats fallin on my window pane.
Every night the rains on time, I can feel it in this heart of mine.
But I dont know what to do.
Well, I guess I could go back home, cause you know back home is where I belong.
But it just aint home without you.
And I dont know what to do, baby.
Well, I guess Im a looser but it just dont seem fair.
I lost all my life so tell me, why should I care?
The night that you left me is the night that it came.
And the rains still fallin on my window pane.
The rain keeps fallin on my window pane.
The rain keeps fallin on my window pane.
You know the rain.
The rain keeps fallin on my window pane.
I said the rain.
The rain keeps fallin on my window pane.
You know the rain.
The rain keeps fallin on my window pane.
I said the rain.
The rain keeps fallin on my window pane.
You know the rain ...
The rain keeps fallin on my window pane.
... keeps right on fallin.
The rain keeps fallin on my window pane.
I said, the rain keeps fallin ...

I Shall Be Released
They say everything can be replaced
Yet every distance is not near
So I remember every face
Of every man who put me here
I see the light come shining
From the west unto the east
Any day now any day now
I shall be released
They say every man needs protection
They say every man must fall
Yet I swear I see my reflection
Some place too high above this wall
Now yonder standing me in this lonely crowd
A man who swears hes not to blame
All day long I hear his voice shouting so loud
Crying out that he was framed
I see the light come shining
From the west unto the east
Any day now any day now
I shall be released

Homeward Bound
In predawn darkness, gangway cleared.
All lines cast off, anchor’s aweigh.
Bow turned toward beckoning, open sea.
We proclaim at last, homeward bound.
A rising sun, o’er shadowed peaks.
Touches and warms our stern.
Following winds, caress gently,
then fill canvas, slack to taut.
Our final port, fades to mist.
No longer, elusive horizon we chase.
In search of adventure beyond.
Thoughts n’ dreams, to yon’ homeport turn.
Wanderlust, satisfied at last.
Now we pine, for sunny meade.
The essence of fresh pine break.
Of comforting, home fires burning.
Softness of earth, beneath our feet.
Riding, the rise n’ fall of rolling swell,
we count empty days, n’ dream lonely nights.
Impatient anticipation, of renewed romance,
with loved ones, so long denied.

Through His Eye's
I looked deep in my souls reflection
and saw myself inside
beyond a sky that was burning
I saw just who I am
And as the smoke filled air cleared
I saw another man
through his eye's I could see
he was just another part of me
And as I reached out to take his hand
as he was lying there bleeding
the tears I could no longer hide
I saw the past of my people dying
here in a forgotten land
and through his eye's I dreamed
as he showed me a vision
to protect all that was sacred

Alive
Reading this fresh poem
This new poem this alive poem
I want to show you young man
Go go go and go and
I have cleared the road.
Asking where to go estopped
Making a gap with scripture
You are my scripture and
I'm talking to you
I'm writing for you
And you a fresh
You are a new
You are alive.

Locked Out
(neil finn)
I been locked out
I been locked in
But I always seem to come back again
When youre in that room
What do you do
I know that I will have you in the end
And the clouds they are crying on you
And the birds are offering up their tunes
In a shack thats as remote as a mansion
You escape into a place where nothing moves
And I been locked out
And I know were through
But I cant begin to face up to the truth
And I wait so long for the walls to crack
But I know that Ill one day have you back
And the hills are as soft as a pillow
And they cast a shadow on my bed
And the view when I look through my window
Is an alterpiece Im praying to for the
Living and the dead
Twin valleys shine in the morning sun
I sent the message out to my only one I been locked out and I know were through
But I cant begin to face up to the truth
I wait so long for the walls to crack
But I know that Ill one day have you back
And I work with the bees and the honey
And every night I circle like a moon
And its an act of simple devotion
But it can take forever
When youve got something to prove
I been locked out

Itll Be A Long Time
All this time when you were away
So many days it was
Back and forth we would sway
Making it up was fun
Through the pale reflection we each
Hold the world above these dreams
Eager to leave
Well seeings believing
Its always the way it goes
Chorus
When will we ever listen to reason
I have a feeling itll be a long time
We will the truth be coming to season
I have a feeling itll be a long time
I have a feeling itll be a long time
Only want to be your fan
Only time is up
Making the same mistakes again
Tell me Ill be falling
Through the pale reflection we each
Hold the world above these dreams
Eager to leave
Well seeings believing
Its always the way it goes
Chorus
Well if theyd try maybe theyd see
It would do a little good to let the world be free
Handshake and a smile gets it all approved
We could turn it all around with the suicide groove
But you know its not movin anyone but me
You make yourself see what you wanna see
But you know its not movin anyone but me
You gotta make yourself see what you wanna see
Yeah
I see you
Through the pale reflection we each
Hold the world above these dreams
Eager to leave
Well seeings believing
Its always the way it goes

One Night In Monte Alegre
i see the sun
set in Monte Alegre
A White brow
framed by the window
long white hair
flowing like a polluted river
upon the neck of
an old woman
holding a cane
such trembling hands
worn out
stopping on the edge
of uncut fingernails
eyes
fixed upon
the nothingness that
i, who sit there,
am, beginning to see
it is not horrible
darkness creeping
upon the black thigh
dry blood
scarlet night
dead in Monte Alegre

Window
I was staring out the window
The whole time he was talking to me
It was a filthy pane of glass
I couldn't get a clear view
As he went on and on
It wasn't the outside world I could see
Just the filthy pane that I was looking through
So I had to break the window
It just had to be
Better that I break the window
Than him or her or me
I was never focused on just one thing
My eyes got fixed when my mind got soft
It may looked like I'm concentrated on a very clear view
But I'm as good as asleep
I bet you didn't know
It takes a lot of it away if you do
So I had to break the window
It just had to be
Better that I break the window
Than him or her or me
So I had to break the window
It just had to be
Better that I break the window
Than him or her or me
Because the fact in fact
Whatevers in front of me is covering my view
So I can't see what I'm seeing in fact
I only see what I'm looking through
I had to break the window
It just had to be it was in my way
Better that I break the window
Then forget what I had to say
So again I've done the right thing
I was never worried about that
The answer's always been in clear view
But even when the window's clean
I still can't see for the fact
That when it's clean it's so clear
I cant tell what I'm looking through
So I had to break the window
It just had to be
Better that I break the window
Than him or her or me
I had to break the window
It just had to be it was in my way
Better that I break the window
Then forget what I had to say
I had to break the window
It was in my way
Better that I break a window
Then forget what I had to say
Or miss what I should see
Or breaking him or her or me

As Long As You Smile
I would dig my own grave,
And lay to rest alive,
As long as you smile,
Taking a long thin blade,
Stabbing it through my chest,
As long as you smile,
Shedding out tears,
Like the clouds pour rain,
As long as you smile,
Because as long as you smile,
The sun will shine,
As long as you smile,
The stars will light up the night,
And as long as you smile,
I will be here,
But when that apocalyptic day comes,
And your smile fades away,
There will be nothing left for me,
As your smile means the world to me,
So smile,
If not for you,
For me
As long as you smile,
I will smile,
And join you,
In a place where there is only you and I,
Together like spring and flowers,
Never without one another,
Alone in the light rain showers,
We shall stand,
And if we are ever torn apart,
Searching for each other,
Till found,
Reunited,
So smile,
Just smile,
And as long as you smile,
All will be fine
