Feel Like A Fool

Every guy that I have seriously liked
in the last 10 years
is married now.
All except two.

I feel like a fool.
Guy #1
seriously messed with
my heart and mind.
He would never admit it.
It took me almost 5 years
to get over him.
Everyone knew I should move on
but I was the last to know.
I thought he was so amazing.
I saw his passion and his
spiritual gifts
and I tried my best
to turn a blind eye
to his faults.
I have so many
of my own,
who am I
to judge another?

He called me
the Proverbs 31 woman.
How did he know
that is the woman
that I aspire to be?
He planned
my birthday party
when others dropped out.
He was the reliable one.
Most of the time
that was not the case.
But that time
he shined.

But he constantly
had me on a tightrope
and he constantly broke his word
and hurt me
over and over
and over.
Eventually, I didn't really want
to put myself out there
again.
Too many guys have
failed me.
It gets old.

Guy #1 eventually moved in
with one of my former best female friends.
Her and her husband.
Unusual, yes.
Eventually she left her husband
and then her and her husband just got divorced.
He tells me they
have a good friendship, healthy.
I know him too well to agree.

I am so glad I am over him
but sometimes,
still
even now
it can be akward.
I stopped letting him in
emotionally,
and stopped bending over backwards
for a guy
who never appreciated it.
Who never appreciated me.
I just wish we didn't have
so many mutual friends in common.
That is unfortunate.
And I feel like a fool.
I wasted so much time
on him
and he scarred me so.

Then there is Guy #2.
I thought he was so incredible.
I thought he was so talented.
I admired him so much,
and his boldness blew me away.
That is all still true.
It was nice for me
to see that good guys
still existed
and maybe there could be
hope.
But I made
two errors in judgment
and grace seemed to be elusive
or at the very least,
it seemed hidden.
I need to be respected
and I need consistent acknowledgement.
The world is not good at that
but I need my guy to be.

Also, I am confident
that he judged me
for several negative actions
that I never did.
Truth be told,
I really am not one
to run after a guy,
especially when I have been too hurt before
and it makes me cry.
I would hope
that he would know
my character better than that,
but, alas,
maybe not.
If he never asked me
and just assumed,
then who am I to point out
that his assumptions are wrong?
I want someone who has
more faith in me
than that.
Yet
I still wish
that he has faith left in me.
But
if that is true
then I need him to show it.

My story

We were online, we talked, exchanged number
That day on, we became friends started calling each other
I was excited; you were my first friend who was girl.
I was little handsome, good looking. Then you fall

We laughed at my every joke; you told me I was great
You were the one from whom first I got appreciated.
Later we started to fall apart, you stopped giving my kissy
Then you told you had a bf. i thought it was imaginary.

It's been 2 years now and we even barely talk
why did u loved me? is it because wid ur bf u got broke up
Didn't you used me? ? That time I was with you so you refused him
Please i was not your pain removal cream

Don't care abt me, Do you know how much I was hurt that time? ?
Don't worry. Now I am used to this felling I m fine..
Don't show ur sympathy.Like before now it doesn't even hurt
You said you only were attracted to me but I was not…

Two Fortune Tellers Said

When Vera and I first met,
a second marriage
was the last thing on her mind.
Her first husband had not long run off
with a fourteen year old
and left this world in a suicide pact.

Some years earlier,
a Fortuneteller had told her
she would never end her days with him.
She would meet a tall dark person
sooner than she thought.
She shrugged off the suggestion,
as she never wanted to marry again.

With a failed marriage
that only brought her grief.
She was not going to take the chance again.
Once was enough.
She could never trust
anyone again.

Years earlier in my life
a Fortuneteller told me
I would settle down
with someone with the initial D.
My way of thinking that was a Christian name
like Dorothy or Diane,
but not a surname.

When her husband died
being a friend I attended his funeral,
never dreaming that one day
his widow would
eventually become my wife.
After all her name began
with a V and not a D.

Then a group of his friends
met one night in a coffee bar.
Someone suggested one of us
take her out for an evening.
As there were no takers,
so I volunteered.
However, I joke about it now.

We went out together
time and time again.
When I asked her to marry me,
she wasn’t really sure.
Memories of her previous marriage
kept plaguing her,
but eventually she said yes.

After we were married,
she could not totally trust.
Even though she was reassured
that I was not like her first husband
and wouldn’t cheat on her.
That I wasn’t like that.

Almost two years passed
before trust slowly returned.
It was then she realised
that I was the one
the Fortuneteller had told her about.
You cannot get much taller than six foot three.

As for me and the initial D.
Vera’s married surname
began with the initial D.
Here we are through troubles thick and thin
fast approaching
our 38th Wedding Anniversary.

We’ve hardly been parted
within those years.
Not because of distrust,
but because of love.
We get lonely
whenever we are apart.

Now as for fortune-tellers,
I’m not sure what to believe.
It would seem a coincidence
that two different people
would predict our lives together.
This is true and I wonder
was it just a lucky guess,
or is there more to it.
I’ll let you decide.

Never saw it coming

so i thought me and you had something special and real
I was so happy with you and loved how you made me feel
when we texted or imed each other my heart jumped and my face grew a smile
when we flirted i felt erotic dangerous and wild
I talked to you when i had a bad day or was in tears
You helped me to laugh and forget my fears
I thought of you throughout the day and reminisced
but i never thought it would come to this
I thought you were different and thought you'd stay that way
but then you told me you found someone and i cried all night and day
you hurt me and i didn't think it was possible
You had made me feel alive and unstoppable
But then you froze me in my tracks
Causing me inside to collapse
you seem to have forgotten about me
and for that reason i am no longer happy
You showed me that love for me does not exist
You showed me true fakeness
You pulled me in and told me sweet nothings so i would stay
Then when i got close enough you instantly threw me away
i know i will move on and find someone new
but i know i'll never forget you
I thought we could eventually would be together and brighten eachothers lives
Now when i think of you my heart feels like its being punctured by a thousand knives
I hope you are happy and find your someone
I hope that in life you go on
You hurt me but i still wish you happiness in life
for at a point in time you made me feel happy to be alive

More Of A Man Than Me

She said that he was more of a man than me
Though he cheated and committed adultery
He does not work so he doesn't have a job
So all he knows to do is to lie and rob.
He told her that we was a very noble man
But he still knew that she was a married woman
He asked her to cheat on her husband true
And she didn't care as to that she wasn't new.
She would go visit him while I, her husband slept
And that secret to no-one did she kept
Her daughters and friends knew of the affair she was in
And they knew how once again she committed that sin.
She and him with her children now live in his house
They belong to no-one but a forgotten spouse
He’s commits crimes of sin against his soul and GOD
To man and woman he is nothing but a fraud.
Now she lies and steals and puts the blame on me
For her weak soul and mind and her adultery
A woman I know now she truly never was
As she cheats and steals and lust as a whore does.
She went to school thinking that will erase her past
But that's a game she plays as her sin will always last
And the lies she tells others so her they will believe
But all any soul has to do is look at her and see.
So now I think of what to me that she had said and done
While the thought of being true and devout she did shun
I remember when she said he was more of a man than me
But neither of them knew of truth, honor love or honesty.

Didn't Expect It

I never thought you will move back to California forever because of me I make you leave here
I’m feel so horrible and I
Didn’t expect it
Once I found out it hurts so much
It opens my eyes
Now you are gone
I didn’t make right choices and
Break you into million pieces
Things will never be same
I’m so sorry
I feel like I know you forever
We were so close in school in 10th grade
How I can get over you
You were different and what I’m looking for
I can be me around you and have fun with you, but
Things change in 11th grade
I can’t smile, laugh, and have fun like I use to around you
I regret for not dating you
You know how I feel about you
I never give us a chance
What have I done?
I didn’t see how you were good for me
Letting you down, I feel so bad
Most of poems I write are about you
That’s all I think to write about is you
I’m out of words to write because of you
On the hand
You told me that you never want to go out with me
It don’t seems like you mean it, I bet you did
You wish we were dating by the way I’m with other guys and
Not with you flirting, smiling and having good time
Memories of us have fun, laugh, hurt by each other,
Joy and time we had spent in class in 10th grade
I never going forget it after all and
It impossible to do that
I miss you too much I know I have to let you go, but
It hurts too much and to be with other guys
It’s not same like when I with you and
I can’t love them like I did with you
All I think about is you
There something I need to figure out
Why I can’t let you go yet?
What I like about you that was special?
I don't know yet
I'm so clueless
I bet you had move on and dating someone else
It’s not my business
I need to move on too
You gone forever and
You thought you knew me but you don't, I do
I’m not going let you hold me back
I make you wait too long
I thought second chance
I will I get you but I didn’t
I lie and you hate people lying to you
You did too and you put people in your games
I did or say things make you change your feelings about me
I was so confused and hopeless
It all happen so fast and so much going on
I feel so bad
My life getting worster in school
I can’t blame you and I
Didn’t expect it
When you hurt me back and get revenge
You are one to blame on and me too
This end in tragedy and so many damages happen
This is life
We are one to be blame
We like to get attention that’s
What all our friends say I bet
We turn out to be jerk especially you
I will never spread rumors about you like the way you did to me
I feel so hurt and sad that you did that
This side I never saw before
You do anything to hurt me back so badly
My heart is shatter
I thought you were different
Everything reminds me of you
My friends were right about you
I need to take their advices
They getting tired of this and mad
They hate when I changes
They want me stop living like this
You never care about me
Wow, I’m shock right now
I feel so dumb for loving you this long and so much
I’m just speechless right now and I need to live my life
Having fun every day and night
Life is short like I say
Didn’t expect it
To know it now is better
I can move on for good
I’m stupid to wait around longer
Their never going be us or chances going happen
Is all over now and
You live in west of United Stated
I need to trust people and stop lying
Didn’t expect it

Rebecca

Past loves you always remember
and Rebecca I’ve never forgot.
It was in May when we first met,
and the days were unusually hot.

We were both sixteen and innocent,
and love’s spark grew into a flame.
Desire and passion overwhelmed us,
and our deepest love was to blame.

Early evenings we spent together
and most of our weekend days.
We made love wherever we could,
and in so many different ways.

At eighteen she wanted to marry,
but I said we were too young.
She of course didn’t agree
and of course I was wrong.

We fell out and didn’t see each other
for maybe a week or more,
and then we both apologised,
and made love like never before.

Our relationship became a volcano
in every sense of the word.
One moment all was calm and beautiful,
and then, eruptions could be heard.

Following another reconciliation
we decided to go our separate ways.
This time there was no going back;
there were no more loving days.

She soon found another lover,
and got married without delay.
Nine months after our separation
a baby had come her way.

Because she made no contact
I assumed the baby wasn’t mine.
I never thought any more about it,
and my life was ticking over fine.

Two years later we met by accident
and I asked if the child was mine.
With a grin she changed the subject,
so the answer I couldn’t find.

After forty years had passed,
Rebecca knocked at my door,
and said the woman by her side
is the daughter I should adore.

“Well! After all this time, ” I said,
“how do I know it’s true? ”
“Just look at her, ” she said,
“she’s the spitting image of you.

I brought her here to see you
because she seemed to know
that her dad wasn’t her father,
and she repeatedly told me so.

She pleaded with me to tell the truth
and since my husband recently died.
I felt that I had to tell her about you,
and apologised for all the years I lied.

It would’ve broken my husband’s heart
if he had found out that I had lied,
and so I had to explain to my daughter
why I thought the lie was justified.”

“What a shock! I don’t know what to say,
or come to that, what to do.
I better begin by saying,
“Hello daughter, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”

Suppose She Cannot Live By Trust

She married him for love alone he seemed a charming man
And she told her friends the World's greatest husband is my Stan
But love is blind or so they say which in her case is so true
And there is more far more to love than saying I love you.

He told her he loved her many times but words not hard to say
And after eight months of marriage he left her for some one new life often is that way
His little son who turned three in early February
He has not met and it would seem he has no desire to see.

With a married man she is having a clandestine affair
The husband of a friend of her's though with her one secret she will not share
That her husband with her is having his quiet bit on the side
By such secrets when they are leaked friendships have been destroyed.

What her ex husband has done to her to her friend she now do
Suppose she cannot live by trust if trust she never knew
Suppose she could find a single man to fulfil her sexual need
But she does not need one without ties for her that to love might lead.

And that to hurt again could lead by love she has been hurt before
And the burned child she dreads the fire she won't go back for more
She plays tennis with her lover's wife but to her she never say
Your husband he made love to me in my bedroom yesterday.

My Wife’s Second Husband

THE WORLD goes round, old fellow,
And still I’m in the swim,
While my wife’s second husband
Is growing old and grim.
I meet him in the city—
It all seems very tame—
He glances at me sometimes
As if I were to blame.

Oh, my wife’s second husband
Was handsome, young and true;
He had his boyish visions
(I had my visions too).
He made a model lover—
The greenest in the game—
They say, when I was married
That I was just the same.

Though I am ten years older
My hair is dark to-day,
While my wife’s second husband
Is quickly growing grey.
I drank when first he knew me,
And he drank not at all;
I see that he, through drinking,
Is going to the wall.

A sweet ill-treated woman,
A drunken brute (Good Lord!)—
Ah, well, she got her freedom,
And he got his reward.
He’ll fight it out a season,
For Fate will not be forced,
But my wife’s second husband
Shall surely be divorced.

I sympathize, and wonder
What mutual friends would think
If my wife’s second husband
And I should have a drink.
And I a mere bystander—
It almost seems absurd—
Might lay prophetically
My hand on my wife’s third.

But my wife’s second husband
His sorrows shall forget,
We’ll clasp warm hands in friendship
And clink our glasses yet.
We’ll smoke cigars together,
In pure philosophy,
While calmly contemplating
The fate of number three.

i Asked God Why

I asked God. Why me I asked god. One day God took my loving husband from me with out let me know what it’s going to happen to me with out him. I started asking why? What I did wrong to deserve this, many questions were in my head all the time. Now I know the answer. God took my husband it is not because I did something wrong, it was my husband time to leave this world. Now two years passed by and I understood that God don’t give you thinks that you’re not able to handle. Now I have an Angel that it’s looking after me all the time to make sure that I do the best every single day. I missed my loving husband but I know he is in a very good place.

Are You a Good Husband?

All married men want to be called a good husband
A good husband is a decent husband
Mr. Husband what you done to deserve this decency?
Has your wife ever referred to you as her good husband?
It is known that the eyes cannot see itself
Unless by reflection. Have you ever asked
Your wife for a performance appraisal
Honey, how did I perform last year?
On a scale of one to ten, one for very poor
Ten for excellent, how did I perform?
Your wife may think you are now on new drugs
If you receive less than six, you need to
Start fence mending before it is too late
A good husband sees his wife as his friend
A nice husband treats his wife as his lover
A decent husband regards his wife as a soul-mate
You should anticipate what your wife
Will need before she makes any request
By the way, have you ever bought a gift
For your wife without an occasion?
Do you have to wait for her birthday?
To inform her that she is very special to you?
Do you have to wait for your wedding anniversary?
To tell her that she is the best thing in your life
When last did you talk to your wife in-laws?
When last did you visit your wife in-laws?
What have you done to be called a good husband?
Ask for performance appraisal on a regular basis
Remember, if you make your wife happy
You will get happiness in return

My Last...

The last word I breath is something that won't be repeated,
I'll tell you of a time when I had nothing but a dime,
I'll ramble on as if time would not move,
But then it's time for me to pass,
For nothing is meant to last,
I will go happy with my last testimony,

While I fade away,
I hope I left good memories,
And love to fill a family,
Not hurt and pain,
I hope that I told you not to fret,
And that I'd be going to a better place,
I will go happy with my last memory,

I will have had a lifetime spent,
And hopefully a good impression on you,
For it is true that I try,
I'll watch you from above with a front row seat,
And guide you on your way,
help you threw the days,
I will go happy with my last impression,

I will go happy with the thought of you,
I will go happy with the thought that i can help you more when I'm looking down upon you,
I will go happy knowing that, that is how it is supposed to end,
I will go happy and I hope you don't grieve.

Confused

I thought I knew
Thought I may have figured it out
But
Then
It became so confusing
And
Now
I'm just not so sure
Of
What I thought I understood
I thought I could be certain
Thought I was able to see
With
Some sort of certainty
Even though
How could I be
So
Confident
When, really
I didn't know
Anything
It's pieces of a puzzle
I'm trying to solve
With limited clues
Or
It could be
My overactive imagination
Playing tricks on me
Letting me see
What I want to see
So
I'm sitting
I'm waiting
I figure perhaps
Eventually
If something is
Then, something will
Reveal itself
Of it's own accord
And, reveal itself
With some clarity
Meanwhile
I'm stopping
With the assumptions I made
Because
I thought I figured it out
But
Now
I'm hesitating
I'm halting
I don't mean for it to impede any progress I've made
If I truly made any progress at all
I'm second guessing myself
But
I have to say
It's all because
I'm a bit confused.

I Give Up On Love

Every time I want to love someone else
It hurt so much because
I promise myself that
I wouldn't love anyone else, but you forever
People think I'm fool for falling over you, but
I know you are wonderful person
I give up on love
For now and I try and try, but at end I fall down
My heart is turn into black stone
Part of me is gone
I feel like different person
I'm just single lady for now
Guys act so sweet to me
Then at end they hurt me
I can't take any of this anymore
I give up on love
For now
I wish I can go back in time and fixed everything I done wrong
So I won't feel like this, but it happen
I won't act like it didn't happen
I need to be strong
I don't want to waste another minute with guys who going play with my heart and break it
Why can I go for sweet guys?
I'm being fool not to because of you baby
I give up on love
For now
You make me so afraid and play on safe side
So I stop getting hurt
I give up on love

A Guy Like You

why is it
that you
manage to
leave me in tears

I know that I
was just a friend
but now I can't
look at you the same

it's been weeks
since we last talked
but to my heart
it's been years

everyone knows
that I've crashed and burned
but no one knows
the truth I feel for you

I've felt your pain
you hope and dreams
but why is it
that you don't feel my pain

I want to cry
every time that I
see you there
it's too much for me

I've been hurt
many times before
but none has hurt
as bad as this

my heart is pounding
this is true
you're the cure
if only you knew

you know a little
how I feel
but you don't know
that you mean so much more

you are the smile
I have when I wake
you're in the dreams
I don't want to wake from

I need you
right here and now
I need you're smile
I need you're grace

but you left me broken
more than you'd guess
but now i see
you're far from me

you're dreams go
further than mine
I guess I've gatta learn
the pains of love

maybe my problem is
not that you hurt me
but that I won't give up
and see it be

I know what everyone says
some say it's so cute
that me out of anyone
is falling for a guy like you

you are far from normal
and that I love
how you're so open
and will push for dreams

you are like
an open book
that I thought
I could read fine

but as it turns out
I was wrong again
I'm such a fool
whenever I'm around you

I truly care for you
yes I said it before
but nothing can break
these feelings for you

only you can make me
crash and burn
I know I said I would for you
but it's all too much

you have this smile
that I can't forget
no matter what I do
I always think of you

you're my inspiration
to reach for the stars
but to me the stars
resemble your eyes

I gave you my heart
but now I see
it was just foolishness
for thinking of you and me

I've shed some tears
but that's nothing new
nor is what I feel
everyday for you

i wake with a smile
because i get to see you
I wake up with pain
because you broke me

it's all so confusing
what I've been through
only because now I wish
I never told you.

Bible in Poetry: 1 Corinthians 7

Marriage:

1’Tis good for man, not to marry.
2 With so much immorality,
Each man should have his own, one wife,
And each woman, own, one husband.
3 The husband should fulfill to wife,
His marital duty always;
And likewise, wife to her husband.
4 Wife's body doesn’t belong to her
Alone, but to her husband too.
In the same way, husband's body
Does not belong to him alone
But also to his wife as well.
5 Do not deprive each other then,
Except by mutual consent and
For just sometime, so that you may
Devote yourselves to some prayer.
Then come again together for
As Satan will not tempt you for
Your lack of self-control in life.
6 I say this as a concession,
And this is not a command then.
7 I wish all men were as I am.
Each man has his own gift from God;
One has this gift, another, that.
8 Now to unmarried and widows:
’Tis good to stay unmarried too.
9 If they can’t control themselves then,
’Tis better they should get married
Than, burn with passion in your life.
10 Lord’s command to the married ones:
A wife must not separate from husband.
11 But if she does, she must stay unmarried,
Or else be reconciled to her husband.
A husband mustn’t divorce his wife.

12 To rest I say (I, not the Lord) :

If any brother has a wife,
Who isn’t a believer but then,
She is willing to live with him,
He must not divorce her, as yet.
13 And if a woman has husband,
Who isn’t a believer as yet,
But is willing to live with her,
She must not divorce him as well.
14 For the unbelieving husband
Has been sanctified through his wife,
And the unbelieving wife too,
Has been sanctified through husband.
If not, your children wouldn’t be clean,
But as it is, they are holy.
15 But if the unbeliever leaves,
Then, let him do so anyway.
Believing man or woman is
Not bound in such circumstances;
For, God has called to live in peace.
16 How do you know, wife, whether you’ll
Save your husband anyway then?
Or, how do you know, husband then,
If you will save your wife surely?
17 Each one should hold the place in life
That Lord assigned to him on earth,
And to which the Lord has called him.
This rule I give to all churches.
18 Was man circumcised when he’as called?
He shouldn’t become uncircumcised.
Was man uncircumcised when called?
He should not be circumcised.
19 Circumcision is nothing then,
Uncircumcision is too naught.
To keep God's commands is what counts.
20 One should remain in situation,
In which he was, when God called him.
21 Were you a slave when you were called?
Don't let it trouble you at all—
If you can become free, do so.
22 For he who was a slave when called
By Lord is the Lord's freed man then;
Similarly, he who was free,
When he was called is slave of Christ.
23 For you were all bought at a price;
Do not become then slaves of men.
24 Each man, responsible to God,
Should stay in place, God called him to.

25 So now, something about virgins:

I have no command from the Lord,
I give a judgment as one who
By Lord's mercy is trustworthy.
26 Because of the present crisis,
’Tis good to remain as you are.
27 Are you married? Don’t seek divorce.
Are you unmarried? Don’t search spouse.
28 If you do marry, you haven’t sinned;
If virgin marries, she hasn’t sinned.
But those who marry, face troubles,
And I want you to escape this.
29 So what I mean is time is short.
From now onwards, those who have wives
Should live as if they didn’t have one.
30 And those who mourn, as if they didn’t;
And those happy, as if they weren’t;
And those who buy, as if it were not theirs;
31 And those who use the things of world,
As if they weren’t engrossed in them.
This world today is passing out.
32 Be free from concern anyway.
An unmarried man thinks of Lord's affairs—
How much more he can please the Lord.
33 A married man thinks of affairs of world—
How he can please his wife only—
34 His interests are divided.
An unmarried woman, virgin
Is concerned of the Lord's affairs:
She aims to devote to the Lord
In both her body and spirit.
A married woman is concerned
About the affairs of this world—
How she can please her husband then.
35 I’m saying this for your own good,
Not restrict you, but make you live
In total devotion to Lord.
36 If one thinks that he is acting
Improperly to the virgin,
He has been engaged to ahead,
And she is getting old in years,
And he feels that he must marry,
He should do as he wishes then.
He doesn’t sin. They should get married.
37 But man who has settled then well
The matter in his mind clearly,
And is under no compulsion
But has control over his will,
And who has made up in his mind
Not to marry the virgin still—
This man is doing the right thing.
38 So, he who marries the virgin does right,
But he who doesn’t marry, does ev’n better.
39 As long as he lives, a woman,
Is bound to her husband alone.
But if her husband dies, she’s free
To marry one, she wishes to,
But he must belong to the Lord.
40 She’s happier if she stays as she is—
And I do think I too have God’s Spirit.

Happy To Live On Her Own

For twenty years married to a horrible man
In human years that does seem quite a long span
Her son and her daughter eighteen and nineteen
One might say that her better days she has seen.

A woman who does know about male abuse
Her husband when drunk often beat her though that's not an excuse
For such criminal behaviour to his beautiful wife
Some women with men have a terrible life.

He was not a good husband and a rotten dad
Herself and their children he did treat so bad
That he has left her for another she does feel quite glad
Though for his new woman she feels a bit sad.

She knows all about the anger of a man
And to marry again it is not in her plan
Some hard times in life one can say she has known
And now she is happy to live on her own.

The Personal Trainer

husband
didn't pay attention when she started to change her look,
after all, she'd been saying how she wanted to for a while &
it seemed to make sense,
what with her going back to the gym full time,
after a period of time away
when they first had been married-
husband just went about his days
working more hours than he knew what to do with,
business was good &
with all the business around him seeming to fail,
he'd been putting away for the life he imagined in the future,
with or without
her-
but her time spent at the gym seemed to increase &
thought her body began to get trimmer, sexier, tighter, stronger &
she seemed to walk around the house with a new zest for life
(when he was there to see her) ,
he still didn't notice that
the personal trainer had moved in-
she had said something to him,
but he was listening less & less
as he had more & more to worry about at work,
for it was all part of building his empire.

the personal trainer was a less successful man
by the standard that money can by,
but he listened to her
as he traced her curves with his fingers in the gym
with palms of his hand smoothly gliding over her muscles
making her body quiver &
it wasn't long before in the car outside the gym
they consummated the professional relationship
again &
again &
again &
again.

as she began to show less interest in sex with her husband,
he wrote it off as a side-effect of marriage &
found himself a main squeeze on the side,
a 20 something who needed money to get her through college
with a perkiness that made him feel young again &
a body that wouldn't quit-
as he grew more distant from the wife,
she grew closer to the personal trainer,
until the day when she brought him home to the house,
when she swore the husband would be gone.

husband found out the way a husband will
when husband had been no longer interested
until another shows his face, as it is only jealousy then
which kicks in, making husband suddenly care-
but personal trainer put husband on the ground
when husband came into his own bedroom
to find personal trainer banging away his bride
who now had no interest in husband-
husband sued the personal trainer for assault &
bride to be divorced husband, taking half of everything he had,
breaking his empire down to nothing
as he had been stupid enough to not require a prenup
at the beginning of it all.

I WAS A FOOL...by talile ali

I WAS A FOOL

I DON'T WANNA LOSE A FRIENDSHIP
JUST FOR SOME WILD ABANDONED SEX
IF THAT EVER WERE TO BE THE CASE
LIKE FRIENDS WITH BENIFITS

TO HAVE THEM BOTH WOULD BE SO NICE
IT'S LIKE A FANTASY OF MINE
ONE I'D LIKE TO REALIZE
WITH YOU BEFORE WE'RE OUT OF TIME

THAT IT'S YOU, I'M NOT SURPRISED
CAUSE DARLIN, I'VE ALWAYS HAD IT FOR YOU
NEVER THOUGHT I'D SUGGEST SUCH A THING
BUT LIFE MAKES US ALL A FOOL

YOUR MAN'S NOT FUCKIN NO MORE
AND NEITHER DOES MY WIFE
THAT WAS THEIR CHOICE, KEEP IT REAL
I WANNA HAVE SEX WITH MY REAL WIFE

AND AS STRANGE AS IT SEEMS
IT'S FUNNY THAT WE DIDN'T SEE
THE REALITY OF THIS
THING THAT WAS MEANT TO BE

TALKIN BOUT ME AND YOU
AND THE WAY WE FEEL
WE BEEN DENYIN TOO MUCH
WE SHOULD HAVE KEPT IT REAL

I ONCE WAS ANGRY
THAT I DENIED MYSELF THESE PLEASURES
AND THOUGHT I WAS SO BRIGHT
REALIZED BEYOND MEASURE

I WAS A FOOL
FOR NOT TAKING UP YOUR HAND
YOU SEE, THIS MAN'S NOT COMPLETE
UNTIL YOUR HIS WOMAN

AS THE STORY GOES
THIS TELL'S COME TO A CLOSE
I WANNA BE WITH YOU
SO THE STORY GOES

A Nice Guy

‘nice guys finish last’
such a famous quotation
so often apparently true
in a dog eat dog world

in the western world
nice guys do so often
seem to finish placed last
but is this ultimately true?

eventually all are Judgement Day judged
those first with men are often
last with heart perceiving God
nice guys do not finish last with God

Bottled Up Horny Christian

3
times
in
4
years &
1 of those times brought on the little boy whom she spends most of her time taking care of these days
(that is, after all, the reason her man married her-for her child rearing capability)
and she thinks this second sexless marriage
brings with it the security that the first marriage did not
(first guy & her went at it like bunnies until he started finding other bunnies as well) -
the making of constant whoopee that came with the first guy
is secretly missed,
even if she wasn't the only one that had been tickling his pickle-
still, it is hard to ignore the long stretches of time that her "faithful" husband is gone
with his phone turned off,
or just left on the kitchen table, as if he had been out of the house in an awful rush &
when the baby is asleep &
she's masturbating alone
(well, she still has "jesus, " right? -that strapping young fictional character) ,
she wonders just what she did
for "god" to condemn her in such a way,
as certainly this choice was hers alone,
but everyone that raised her told her that if she followed the ways of the bible,
that if she didn't cheat on her husband &
that if she was a good wife,
then things would be ok for her-that "god" would provide-
but would "god" provide her orgasms?

she knows that if she even so much as asks where her husband has been
that said good christian man will make her wish that she hadn't &
that is why she doesn't-
instead, she just moans alone by the grace of "god, " until she gets off &
then feels guilty about having had any pleasure at all-
she knows that when the next time rolls around that the family goes to church,
that she will look good playing the roll of the dutiful wife,
wound tight in her gingham dress & smiling at her husband
who is smiling at some other church whore-
all the time pent up & about to explode from such relentless sexual
craving, wondering if she'll ever have sex again,
telling her close friends that she doesn't even think about it much,
that her hands are full with the baby-
putting on the best show of her life, daily,
she obviously missed her true calling in life-
she would've made a great actress.
