My story
We were online, we talked, exchanged number
That day on, we became friends started calling each other
I was excited; you were my first friend who was girl.
I was little handsome, good looking. Then you fall
We laughed at my every joke; you told me I was great
You were the one from whom first I got appreciated.
Later we started to fall apart, you stopped giving my kissy
Then you told you had a bf. i thought it was imaginary.
It's been 2 years now and we even barely talk
why did u loved me? is it because wid ur bf u got broke up
Didn't you used me? ? That time I was with you so you refused him
Please i was not your pain removal cream
Don't care abt me, Do you know how much I was hurt that time? ?
Don't worry. Now I am used to this felling I m fine..
Don't show ur sympathy.Like before now it doesn't even hurt
You said you only were attracted to me but I was not…

Secrets
I told her all my secrets.
Once started they came out almost by themselves and she acted so enchanted it was easy to just keep going on and on.
I told her about my first kiss, about my stealing grapes from the grocery store, one grape, is all it was, but I never forgot taking it. I told her about the time I told a lie to make myself seem more important than I was.
I had never been to Russia. But I said I did to impress my friends. I told her of times I had been quiet when I should have spoken up, of that moment of cowardice when I should have helped my friend when the gang caught us. I didn't help. I ran and they caught him. I didn't go back to help.
I revealed what I think about at night when I am going to sleep, my little vanities and self-deceptions because they seem harmless. I told her about the little mean things I've done and the day I learned that you could lie if it was small one and it kept someone from feeling hurt; of the secret anxieties i felt and the loves I lost and never knew why, of how I worry about being in shape all the time and the times in my twenties when I looked everywhere in faces on the street, in magazines, among strangers asking myself are you The One? I told her that quest never ended-I simply shortened the voyage because long quests can be tiring.
I told her of my secret desire to impress her by telling her my secrets; no pretending to tell her secrets so as to get her to tell me her secrets and this was my ultimate secret which, of course was no secret at all, since I told.
She laughed saying 'I know but the gesture, I thought was sweet.'
So, I said, 'Do you have pretend secrets for me? ' 'Sure, ' she said, 'but I will mix in the telling some real ones, like you did, and we can then both guess which ones were true. A little mystery never hurt anyone.'
So she began to reciprocate tellling me her first kiss was through a screen door and her mother asked what was wrong with her lips, about never realizing until she was ten that it went in... there.. About the shock of all of it. About the time she saw her mother and dad doing it. She told me about the first time which was very very short, and the boy who was afraid and fumbly. About her first push-em-bra and lace underthings she bought at Victoria's Secret and the party where some one felt her up in the dark and she let him. About her belief that she had lived in some previous life and remembered bits and pieces of it.
About how she thought when getting her period that she was dying and didn't tell anyone until her mother discovered the blood. Her first boy friend who was sweet and a virgin and so was she. She thought you could get pregnant from tonguing when kissing; about her first O and how it scared her; how she looked in the mirror afterwards to she if she had changed; about how scared she was when it came time to deliver the baby.
We talked for hours, mostly about the secrets but ultimately we started to share dreams. She wanted to be a ballerina but had to give it up. I wanted to be a sports star, but too short. We share dreams gains and lost, mostly lost, given up for a good job or the quest for one or for family and kids.
From that first 'she called my number by mistake call' we call once a year, in secret of course, and share some more. We've never met. Don't need to. I already know all her secrets and she knows mine.

Feel Like A Fool
Every guy that I have seriously liked
in the last 10 years
is married now.
All except two.
I feel like a fool.
Guy #1
seriously messed with
my heart and mind.
He would never admit it.
It took me almost 5 years
to get over him.
Everyone knew I should move on
but I was the last to know.
I thought he was so amazing.
I saw his passion and his
spiritual gifts
and I tried my best
to turn a blind eye
to his faults.
I have so many
of my own,
who am I
to judge another?
He called me
the Proverbs 31 woman.
How did he know
that is the woman
that I aspire to be?
He planned
my birthday party
when others dropped out.
He was the reliable one.
Most of the time
that was not the case.
But that time
he shined.
But he constantly
had me on a tightrope
and he constantly broke his word
and hurt me
over and over
and over.
Eventually, I didn't really want
to put myself out there
again.
Too many guys have
failed me.
It gets old.
Guy #1 eventually moved in
with one of my former best female friends.
Her and her husband.
Unusual, yes.
Eventually she left her husband
and then her and her husband just got divorced.
He tells me they
have a good friendship, healthy.
I know him too well to agree.
I am so glad I am over him
but sometimes,
still
even now
it can be akward.
I stopped letting him in
emotionally,
and stopped bending over backwards
for a guy
who never appreciated it.
Who never appreciated me.
I just wish we didn't have
so many mutual friends in common.
That is unfortunate.
And I feel like a fool.
I wasted so much time
on him
and he scarred me so.
Then there is Guy #2.
I thought he was so incredible.
I thought he was so talented.
I admired him so much,
and his boldness blew me away.
That is all still true.
It was nice for me
to see that good guys
still existed
and maybe there could be
hope.
But I made
two errors in judgment
and grace seemed to be elusive
or at the very least,
it seemed hidden.
I need to be respected
and I need consistent acknowledgement.
The world is not good at that
but I need my guy to be.
Also, I am confident
that he judged me
for several negative actions
that I never did.
Truth be told,
I really am not one
to run after a guy,
especially when I have been too hurt before
and it makes me cry.
I would hope
that he would know
my character better than that,
but, alas,
maybe not.
If he never asked me
and just assumed,
then who am I to point out
that his assumptions are wrong?
I want someone who has
more faith in me
than that.
Yet
I still wish
that he has faith left in me.
But
if that is true
then I need him to show it.

You Were Right Girl
Its hard to say how long its been, but once upon a time
You were my best friend, Im sorry I hurt you but I loved him, loved him
You said Id get hurt in the end, you tried to warn me with good advice
Instead of listening, I paid the price, yes I did, you told me back then
You said hell love you, leave you, you said his heart was cold as ice
And you were right girl, yes, he played me for a fool, (you were right girl)
Hmm, it all came true, (you were right girl), I know
I should have known it all along, (you were right girl)
Yes, you were right and I was wrong, I thought you blamed him for your mistakes
That all your put downs were just sour grapes, you told me back then
That theyll be lyin, cryin and it wont be his heart that breaks
And ooh, (you were right girl) you were right girl
He played me for a fool, (you were right girl) oh
It all came true, you were (you were right girl) right girl
Yes, I should have known it all along (you were right girl)
You were right girl, you were right and I was wrong
Oh, what made me think that I was different from you
That I could make him do what he wouldnt do for you
Now you told me back then Id never change him, change him
But hed change me before hes through, and ooh (you were right girl)
You were right girl, he played me for a fool, he really did
(you were right girl) well, it all came true, (you were right girl)
You were so right, I should have known it all along (you were right girl)
Oh, yes, you were right and I was wrong, oh, (you were right girl)
He really played me for a fool, (you were right girl)
Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, it all came true (you were right girl)
Yeah, (you were right girl) you were right girl
I should have known it all along, (you were righ girl)
You were right girlfriend, you were right and I was wrong, woo, woo, woo
(you were right girl) you were right my girl, (you were right girl)
You were right my girl, he played me for a great big fool

Love Doesn't Hurt Have To Hurt
I learned a lesson in my life
But I learned it the hard way
I don't know why I used to fall in love
With the wrong kind
Then I suffer so much pain
But I only had myself to blame
maybe you came
In the nick of time to show me
Love doesn't have to hurt
To feel good
It's such a revelation
With you I can be myself
I know it should
Don't have to cry
Don't have to fight
Don't have to die
Not after tonight
Show me
Love (Love)
Doesn't have to hurt to feel good
Darling now it seems to me
Like I've always known you
But I still shudder
When I think back
On the lonely times
I used to keep all my feelings inside
From your eyes I have nothing to hide
Baby you came
In the nick of time to show me
Love doesn't have to hurt
To feel good
It's such a revelation
With you I can be myself
I know it should
Don't have to cry
Don't have to fight
Don't have to die
Not after tonight
Show me
Love (Love)
Doesn't have to hurt to feel good
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Baby
Lying here beside you
Feels so fine
Talking about everything in this heart of mine
Love doesn't have to hurt
To feel good
It's such a revelation
With you I can be myself
I know it should
Don't have to cry
Don't have to fight
And in your arms
Not after tonight
Show me
Love (Love)
Doesn't have to hurt to feel good
Yeah
Thank you baby

Teenage Pregnancy
Giving birth at a tender age was not my intention,
How did this happen to me is still a confusion.
'Pregnant', me ha! never!
But his charming looks and boy was he clever.
The naive girl that I was, believed his lies and how he loved me so much,
I could not resist his charm but he convinced me wit his soothing and caressing touch.
The first time I saw Danny, he looked so handsome, strong and fun,
But coming to the end he turned out to be a real bum.
He wooed me with words and won me over,
I was shocked we would actually exchange our numbers.
When he first called, I could not believe it is really Danny.
We talked and talked for more than three hours,
Days and weeks had past; just before you know it we became closer.
Danny called me during the midday and told me to come home by him to lime and to have a bit of one on one time together.
I agreed to his idea but what did i know?
I thought all the girlfriends were doing it.
As soon as I entered his house, he started kissing me everywhere and all about.
He told me to relax and do not be afraid,
I pleaded with him to stop that I was not ready for that kind of thing.
Danny said, 'girl why are you so uptight? '
But i could not care, I screamed with all might.
Stop! Please! Stop!
He gave me a slap and told me to shut up.
I was humiliated, embarrassed and afraid.
And no one came to my aid.
When he was done he sent me home,
I called 999 on my telephone.
We, my parents took him to court and won the case.
I thought my sorrows had gone,
But little did I know my troubles had just begun.
Danny is gone in the wind but where does that leave me?
A baby and I am only fifteen.

Dedicated To My Mom
It didn’t hurt when, I failed my freshman year
I knew that in a way I had to so our family can stay together
It didn’t hurt when I had to go live with my dad
I knew it was best and I would be able to with you again
It didn’t hurt when I stayed with dad almost over a year,
I knew what we had to fix would take more time
It didn’t hurt when I started living with you,
I knew that our lives are going to change forever.
It didn’t hurt went I went to your graduation for life works.
I was proud to see you clean and full of life.
Tears were shed,
Feelings were shared,
Stories were told,
Hugs were given,
And lives were changed.
I knew our lives were going to be different,
As long as I have you there to guide me along the way,
I know I will succeed.
This is for you mom for doing great,
For getting what you had to get done,
Achieved.
I love you,
And am proud to be your daughter,
So I wanted to show it to you.
So this is for you.
Mom,
Seeing you graduate from your classes inspired me,
I know now that,
If you stick to something you can
Conquer it.
I got to see you graduate and now you can see me.
So this is for you,
Mom.

A Person Like You
You were there from the start,
You always was there to help,
Even after what I told you,
You held my hand to help me through,
Everything I told you,
Made you blue,
But, you were still helping me through,
You seemed to always know what to do,
In a time I was so confuse,
You told me what we can do,
You been my support,
Whenever I would hurt,
Told me things that I didn't want to hear,
But, it was a way I felt you care,
I always seen where you were coming from,
But, it was something I didn't want to accept,
That maybe you are right,
Maybe I do need that change,
To be that role model once again,
And be the person
My mom knew I can be.
Before I do something i'll regret,
And hurt the people I care about,
With you by my side,
I know I can change.

On June 1st of That Year
I wish I could take back everything that I have ever said that hurt you
I wish I could have another one of our 'important talks'
But that's not going to happen
Since you didn't make it thought ther night
I just hope you didnt feel much pain,
When you died
I still can remember the call
When I picked up the phone and it was the hospital
And they told me that you was in a bad car crash
And that you had died instanly
I just wish I would have said I love you
And gave you a kiss
Instead of being pissed at you
Over something so childish
The women told me that you was under the influence of drugs
I just sat there and started weeping
I told you earlier that day that drugs was going to kill you
I just wish I wasn't right
I just wish I could hold you in my arms just one more time
I just wish I could have been their to say good-bye
There is not one day that goes by
That your not in my thoughts
It has be so hard for me the past month it has been hell
I told you if you died
I would be able to handle it
That I would have to join you as well
You dont have to worry anymore
Because in a second or two
I will be with you
People thought I was stronger then what I was
Then they found out that
I couldn't handle the presure of the world by myself anymore
When little Brandi hung herself
On June 1st of that year

Hurting A Girl Like Me
You hurt me once,
Never ever again
I was blind once
Believing everything you told me
You are like everybody else
I am closing my heart out for sure
Now nobody comes in and nobody comes out
I will not get hurt
Especially by you
I am sorry it came down to this
But that's how I feel
And the feeling will never go away
Thanks to you
You must feel really proud of yourself
Hurting a girl like me
I am going to miss the happy moments
But they are now clouded with the pain you have caused for me
I didn't want this to happen
You caused this
All by yourself
I bet you feel like a big boy now
Hurting a girl like me
So how did it feel
To hurt a girl like me
Do you ever think about it
About the pain you caused me
Do you have problems sleeping at night
Or do you sleep like a baby that you are
My heart can't have anymore heartaches
I am shutting it down for sure
You can't get back in
I must admit
You caught me off gaurd
And I repayed with your news
Thinking about how it would feel
To hurt a girl like me is so unshameful
Do you ever have regrets
About hurting a girl like me
Do you ever think about
The look on my face
When you broke my heart
I can't get your grin
Off my mind
When you told me it was over
So there you go
Hurting a girl like me

Lies
you told me you loved me
and I took the bait
because I had strong feelings
that were far from hate
you had me going
you made me fall
but I thought it was okay
as soon as I got your call
didn't you know
you meant the world to me
and as you laughed I relized
you were pretending twasn't meant to be
you've done your damage
so what else is there
you've already given me
more than I can bare
the worst part was
my friends warned me
but I didn't listen because
I thought it was meant to be
why would you do this
just to watch me fall
but I was only
your vodo doll
just one quick thing
when we walked the halls
and you didn't care
why did you answer my calls?

Looking For Fun
I didn’t mean to make you cry
I didn’t want to hurt you girl
I wasn’t looking for love
I was just looking for fun
But then something strange happened
I began to fall in love with you
I was only looking for some fun
Falling in love, I didn’t want to do
I’m sorry if I hurt you
I hope you can forgive
I hope you have a great live
As you move on to live
My heart is feeling empty
I thought you were the one
But then you told me
You were only looking for fun

Goodbye My Baby
today you were laid to rest
such a shame
because you were truely the best
so very brave and not the least bit shy
quricky and funny
just a top sorta guy
the times we talked
meant so much to me
i laughed at your moonwalk
and you asked about my family
i made fun of your beanie
you told me i was jealous
laughed it off and called me a meanie
you talked to my mummy
and to no supprise
you made a great impression
she thought you were a lovely guy
then you had the band at the ball call my name
i was kinda embarrsed
the other girls felt the same
you added me on facey
just to say sorry
i told you it was funny now
and not to worry
you were so stoked
because after all
it was a pretty funny joke
so i must confess
baby i miss you
in peace may you rest
RIP.

To All The Guys Who Look Past The Nice Girls
I'm sorry that I opened up to you,
And told you that I [really] liked you.
I'm sorry that I was [raised with respect, ]
And that I don't sleep with every guy that comes around.
I'm sorry that my body's not [perfect] enough,
To 'satisfy' your wants.
I'm sorry that I'm not 'hot'enough,
To be [your girl].
I'm sorry that I'm actually nice,
And [not a bitch].
I'm sorry I don't have a [huge bank account]
To buy you expensive things
I'm sorry I like to spend quality nights at home
[Cuddling with you, instead of goin out].
I'm sorry that I am always the one you need to talk to,
But never [good enough] to date
I'm sorry that I am there to [comfort] you,
When you and your new girl got in a fight.
I'm sorry
If I start not being there, and being used as a [door mat],
Only to be thrown to the side when a [hotter] girl catches your eye.
I'm sorry
If I don't answer my phone anymore when you call,
To listen to you [wine] about how badly girls treat you.
I'm sorry that you can't realize,
I've been [the one all along].
I'm sorry
If you read this, and [don't even care].
But most of all...
I'm sorry
For not being sorry anymore.
I'm sorry
That you can't accept me for who I am.
I'm sorry
I can never do anything right, and nothing that I do is good
enough to make it in your world.
I'm sorry
I have priorities and don't have much time to go out.
I'm Sorry
That when I've had a long day, all I want to do is cuddle and feel comfortable with you
I'm Sorry
That i fall fast when I know what my heart feels.
Im sorry
That I run away when i dont know what to do.
I'm sorry
That I'm tired of fighting, and that I don't want to hurt anymore.
Im sorry
That im tiried of searching to be accepted and that theres nothing else I can do.
I'm sorry
That I told you I loved you and actually meant it.
I'm Sorry
That I cared.
And last...
I'm sorry that I wasn't what you were looking for.
I'm sorry that I couldn't give you what you thought you deserved.
I'm sorry that you broke my heart.
I'm sorry that I gave you the chance to break my heart again.
But mostly...
I'm sorry that I don't hate you.
Because you know damn well that I should.

It's All Done For Laughs
Oh...
I misunderstood.
I had no idea when you ran my dog over,
And keyed my car...
You intended that to be a joke.
And you didn't realize,
Your actions would provoke me,
To burn down your home!
How silly of me!
Since I do remember,
How you told my friends
I was the one breaking into their homes.
And stealing from them.
And ruining my integrity was hysterical.
I'm sure you will forgive my sense of humor,
When you discover I hired the neighborhood gang
To beat every member of your family's ass.
But don't worry about it...
It's all done for laughs!
'I think we should stop this,
Before someone gets hurt! '
HURT?
Hurt?
How can anyone get hurt,
When only a bit of fun has been done.
Right?
You invited me to this party.
And I'm not ready to leave.

The Girl Who Is Me
Me
A simple word
Yet at the same time
Complicated
Describes a girl who was born
On the 25th of June in 1994
A girl who was two days early
Me
The girl who would
Walk down the street carrying Barney
And holding mommy’s hand
And as she walked in the store
The clerks would ask her
If she was ready for her daily m&m’s
Me
The girl who thought
She was betrothed at five
The girl who got into kindergarten early
Because she was “smart”
The girl who couldn’t tell at first
Whether her first best friend
Was a boy or a girl
Because her hair was so short
Me
The girl who always got good grades
The girl whose reading level
Was above average
The girl who was in love
With beanie babies
Me
The girl who felt trapped
By the arms of her father
The girl who had to
Change the weekends
So that she could stop the sickness
Me
The girl who went to seventh grade
Ready to have fun
And make new friends
The girl who went all through
Junior high with nothing less
Than A’s and B’s
Me
The girl who started high school
With fear of failure
The girl who soon found out
That it wasn’t all that bad
Me
The girl who got hurt
By someone else’s mistake
The girl who, for the longest time
Thought maybe she should
Just give up
But refused to anyway
Even though it was easy
Me
Turnaboout
As large as life she stood there
Kissed my cheek and called my old nickname
And though several years had passed
Both of us still looked quite the same
I said hi relaxed a bit
Then asked her how she'd been all these years
She told me she was feeling fine
Came to see a friend who lived up here
Told me she had finished school
And then went on to college for a year
I asked if she had married
Slowly down her cheek there came a tear
She said just an itchy eye
It must be the weather way up here
Told her I can't stand the cold
It freezes me and I can't feel my ears
We talked a bit about Mobile
And thought about how it has never changed
I told her I was a comin' home
To spend some time and hoped it wouldn't rain
She asked if she could see me then
And we could spend some time now and then
Because I lived so far away
Was still no chance why we could not be friends
I drove her to the waiting plane
Watched that big jet streaking through the sky
Thought about the sad young girl
And the time that I just saw her cry
That flame must still be burning bright
I think I'll catch a later flight today
It's time for me to go on home
And spend a day or two down by the bay

A Guy Like You
why is it
that you
manage to
leave me in tears
I know that I
was just a friend
but now I can't
look at you the same
it's been weeks
since we last talked
but to my heart
it's been years
everyone knows
that I've crashed and burned
but no one knows
the truth I feel for you
I've felt your pain
you hope and dreams
but why is it
that you don't feel my pain
I want to cry
every time that I
see you there
it's too much for me
I've been hurt
many times before
but none has hurt
as bad as this
my heart is pounding
this is true
you're the cure
if only you knew
you know a little
how I feel
but you don't know
that you mean so much more
you are the smile
I have when I wake
you're in the dreams
I don't want to wake from
I need you
right here and now
I need you're smile
I need you're grace
but you left me broken
more than you'd guess
but now i see
you're far from me
you're dreams go
further than mine
I guess I've gatta learn
the pains of love
maybe my problem is
not that you hurt me
but that I won't give up
and see it be
I know what everyone says
some say it's so cute
that me out of anyone
is falling for a guy like you
you are far from normal
and that I love
how you're so open
and will push for dreams
you are like
an open book
that I thought
I could read fine
but as it turns out
I was wrong again
I'm such a fool
whenever I'm around you
I truly care for you
yes I said it before
but nothing can break
these feelings for you
only you can make me
crash and burn
I know I said I would for you
but it's all too much
you have this smile
that I can't forget
no matter what I do
I always think of you
you're my inspiration
to reach for the stars
but to me the stars
resemble your eyes
I gave you my heart
but now I see
it was just foolishness
for thinking of you and me
I've shed some tears
but that's nothing new
nor is what I feel
everyday for you
i wake with a smile
because i get to see you
I wake up with pain
because you broke me
it's all so confusing
what I've been through
only because now I wish
I never told you.

Turnabout
By: jimmy buffett
1970
As large as life she stood there
Kissed my cheek and called my old nickname
And though several years had passed
Both of us still looked quite the same
I said hi relaxed a bit
Then asked her how shed been all these years
She told me she was feeling fine
Came to see a friend who lived up here
Told me she had finished school
And then went on to college for a year
I asked if she had married
Slowly down her cheek there came a tear
She said just an itchy eye
It must be the weather way up here
Told her I cant stand the cold
It freezes me and I cant feel my ears
We talked a bit about mobile
And thought about how it has never changed
I told her I was a comin home
To spend some time and hoped it wouldnt rain
She asked if she could see me then
And we could spend some time now and then
Because I lived so far away
Was still no chance why we could not be friends
I drove her to the waiting plane
Watched that big jet streaking through the sky
Thought about the sad young girl
And the time that I just saw her cry
That flame must still be burning bright
I think Ill catch a later flight today
Its time for me to go on home
And spend a day or two down by the bay
