Bed of Ghosts

Red wolves under the purple moon
She sighs like the wet tide
I have entered a dark door
Parallax lace tubes of silk
Covered in her golden pain
Eyes like castles of strange stone
Walls as high as broken glass
Maybe awakenings are over
Maybe the end is just a mirror
Is love another passport to pain

Now the circus bells sound like thunder
Pigeons feed on park benches
She loves gargoyles on the old church
We walk shrouded in rain
Panhandlers amidst the saved
Gothic lights from a forest of gray
Her red 5-inch heels click the cement
Everyone in a role
Everyone caught like a bomb shelter
We wait for a libido of silk doom

True love like a frozen river
Time settles sand in valleys of sorrow
Childhood oaks with boughs of dreams
No refuge in the ancient masks
Old swings where children played
First friends with granite memories
Joy like a vague painting, a wish
We hold hands under the lost neon
We talk of a future that already is gone
Make love to the images of silver swords

She loves midnight when darkness plays
The romance of Ann Rice
Vampires with garter belts
Moons that seem to melt into whips
Actors of Eugene O’Neil
Tennessee Williams and Poe
Blues and jazz as sultry as eyeliner
We kiss like wild wolves
Lioness that prowls these streets
I lay on a bed of ghosts

Fallen Saved

Waning repentance bought by purple merchants
Moons that grovel before your painted eyes
The sea still innocent
You are my sins my love
You are the unmasked whip
Sometimes I hate that I am so weak
I want to have sex with you every minute
When I am honest you are a vampire
Is my soul lost?
No! I am the fallen lover

Vultures are waiting
My bed is a pedicure
Searching for a heaven of flesh
Do you see the fire burning love
Making you into a brothel
Part of every woman is a stripper
Your weakness loves my desire
You feed the wolves
Your wet silk stockings
Your high heel marks
Yes, you lounge in heels
She walks in the castle of vampires

My altar is dark with black silk
Garter belts light candles
I have my ideals
I believe in God
Romance to me is silver stilettos
It is too late for change
You are tempest
You are my weakness
Help me go to heaven
Corsets and church
Wet dripping salvation
My mate is a Goddess of moonlight
I am waiting for the night
I will be faithful my princess of silk
The fallen saved with a prayer book

Temptation

Night comes, she retreats from love
Winter tears water her memories
Enough pain, she closes the door
Snow falls lightly, hearts freeze

No lavender or soft blue only shadows
Behind thick walls her poetry sighs
Art from the dark soul without sun
Cold frosted illicit moonlight shines

Temptation walks along the lost sea
Silver bracelets and golden chains
Eyes pierce through my weakness
By the fire she burns and waits

The treasures of lust howl like wolves
Winding stairways haunted with ghosts
Masks of feasts from ancient Castles
Winds blow along the barren coast

Collect lost souls with thighs of sin
Creatures dead dance in crimson red
Deep inside the islands become desert
Run from the stars to your fallen bed

She burns like Poe's House of Usher
Frozen lioness eyes raging with war
She calls my name and I must go
Between good and evil my soul is torn

Tonight silence pounds like drums
Her gown is silk and fine black lace
Loneliness springs like an endless well
Aquiline beauty in a Goddesses face

I enter into temptations moonlight

Vampires

Mandarin sky like fire in her eyes
Dark visions rise between her thighs
She sleeps in a bed of liquid lava

Decadent Venus in gossamer night
Black silk poetry fills her womb
Succulent moonlight caresses

She reads the Flowers of Evil
Satin sheets in soft candle light
Golden chains, silk scarves

Passion dances in pedicure red
6 inch high heels on my shoulder
Her kisses are like wild wolves

Her mirror fills with purple night
Ivory neck alive with moon beams
She longs to feed on a poets sin

Feel the thorns of sensuous myth
Born to be adored in the garden
The dark side casts her spell

Music from ancient castles
Roses wet with deep red lust
A Goddess thrives on hot blood

Bitten

Brazen glass moon like ice eyes
Fever in the chill of her gothic mask
Bitten by a creature of moonlight
Bitten and stung by her fire and touch
I am in the corridors of wet pain
Covens laugh in the theater of soul
Is this haven?
Is this shelter?
I walk where wind ghosts dance
Her high heels prance like panthers
Candles of cinnamon witches
Goddess of ancient fire

Her wolves are hungry pets
Released from cages deep within
Misty ravens of the labyrinth of sin
Some of us are afraid of castles
Some men are bound like caskets
She has taken the key from the dungeon
She tells me of kneeling
Now the moon rises over the castle
Red and black actors in chains
Dreams of her body of lace lust
Her spell cast in the moonlight mist
Wrestle with your will and her beauty

Bitten and turning into her night

The Good Girl

She hides the darkness in vague poise
Black silk dreams next to her hymnal
Look in the mirror what do you see?
All the illusions that pain will waste

Lonely years of being the proper you
Acting from lines well rehearsed
Molded and formed into righteousness
She aches for the touch of a sinner

The full moon rises like a lioness
Wolves howl in sweet wildness
Myths dance with ancient vampires
Children of the night sing in revelry

She writes poetry like a dictionary
No soul, no fall, no dark shadows
Her flowers are hollow and plastic
She kisses a man she doesn't know

The City is a Poet

Church basements with AA meetings
Creeds have reached into the walls
Moved by the coffee shop art
Farmers market with no GMO's
Organic friends and underground papers
Open museums alive with symbols
The rivers and old train depot

I buy you a flower for your hair
We glide down sun set streets
Castles and stores
Mannequins dressed for a haberdashery
Garlic bread and wine
High heels click like clocks
A kiss under the cathedral lights

I am the university
You are the plays
These stones quarried in blues
The jazz of urban night
Papers, names, street signs, ghosts
Grave yards like whispering time
They all come out in the bells

Parallel Universe

Parallel dream with an ankle chain
She dances like a fire that must burn
We are the corridors of beryl
Moons of Jupiter
Sentinels of Venus
Past the pearl promise of pain
Pain has become a Gothic star

Liquid permeable pools
Extensions of wet temptation
Friends of the pheromone doors
Milky Way satin like gossamer lingerie
Dungeon voices elegant as black high heels
She sleeps in the mountains blossom
She wakes me with wolves of night

Neurons circle new strange moons
Misty in a mask of ancient fire
Dreams bring eyes from another sky
She binds my hands with pleasure
The book of myth is open
Forests with gold talons
Red and silk stars
She has come like a thorn
I am afraid to leave my cage
My moist sweet cave
Captive in a parallel universe

I mean emotional depth
Humor, spiritual wit and dynamics

Trying to feel your rationality
Analyzing your nuances
Seeing your masks melt

I love the way you hide behind silk
Stockings around my head won't stop me

Feed the Pigeons

The subway rides thru fields of steel
The lost horizon shines over the sea
All these dreams walk like the desert
Go see the fortune telling tower
Speakers blare and call the cave dwellers
Town square fills with snake oil
Open the curtains and let the circus play
Repeat the same droll lines
Agents of the bold new age
Time slips into paved columns
In the distance night is coming
Feed the pigeons while their alive
Painted cement reflects the sun

The revolution is a whore
Songs and anthems sell cars
Everything is for sale
Deep under the sea symbols sink
Forgetfulness of the base
Dreams drift without color
Opaque sex dressed in silicone
Trampled on by the changelings
Merchants praise the unfettered beast
Eyes on the ceiling of the blue Bogotá
By the park she walks deep in thought
Bulletin boards decorated with happiness
Civil ceremony where loneliness wears violet

We meet amidst the fog that just won’t leave
Scale the slippery language past the system
Love is the awakening of sleeping forests
Buried in tribes calloused with centuries
Gravity pulls the spirit into the inquisition
Visceral expression on the canvass of a glance
We are the numb children of subliminal fortune
Novocain only lasts so long
Sit on the roof and watch the traffic roll
Grass between the sidewalk cracks
She hands me a note
Yes, I am alive
Lets go to a movie

Sirens howl like wild wolves
Streets prowl like hungry lions
Neon lights glow instead of stars
Costumes of red and gold
Children of the night come to play
All the great towers are lit with pride
Music from the strip clubs cry
We walk quietly watching the carnival
Vampires come out at midnight
Hookers and pimps
We head for the river
We sit on a park bench
I think she likes me, I hope so

In the bookstore there is a meadow
Hamlet reads about choices
Choices to sleep or fight
Orwell’s 1984 is such a sweet book
I think I’ll get it for her for Valentines Day
No, I better get her a box of chocolates
She smiles at me like she trusts me
Lets make a cozy corner and invent a new language
I know I need you but we need to stay awake
What do you mean?
It seems something is trying to control us
I think someone wants to steal our inward world
I believe we have a soul

We hold hands and go feed the pigeons

Ever Shall It Be

Ever shall it be

Friends come with gentleness
To wipe away the pain

Ever shall it be

To bring joy into your eyes

Ever shall it be
Lonely wolves howl to the moon
Friends gather ‘round you
To sing a merry tune

Ever shall it be
The frozen sit in cold
Friends dance with liveliness
And warm you in their hold

Ever shall it be
The pines moan in sorrow
Friends speak lightly
Of a bright tomorrow

Ever shall it be
Darkness closes in
Friends uncover lights
Shining from within

Ever shall it be
Friends are always there
Friends to lean on
In the depths of despair

The New Widow

Candle red as requiem
Words burn forever
Out the city door there is wings
Take your place on the stage
Find your face amidst the rage
Don Juan separates sex from love
Covered in silk consciousness
Hades waits like the prowling lion
Her lovers are masks
Her mirror of greedy self destruction
Now evening has come to the land
Everyone is living in a opium dance
Manipulated like a bouquet of roses
Her opaque smile like a barbiturate spell
She wants to be my horizon
The dead wait patiently for her kiss

Some can only chase and capture
Recite the angst dreams beneath the metallic
Recite the sphinx mind of morning’s pain
Recite your cryptic love like a bird in flight
You run from me like you run from life
Can love heal or is that a child’s rhyme?
Steal the attention like a Chloe of Paris
Who are you or is that question gone?
Her beauty is dark like a polished moon
Earth Goddess with spells like castles
No soul mate, no rings, no bridesmaids
Postmodern fragments desperate for sanctuary
Idols of Ashteroth’s wet incantations
Islands like severed dreams
Intimacy has left her conscious mind
Chasm of the soulless new women

I am something from the past
Autonomy replaces order
Religion of self
Freedom the relentless pursuit of pleasure
Black silk stockings with 6 inch heels
Heart cut off from the sea of Spirit
New myths of sexual fulfillment
New culture of genocide love
The moment like a monument of collapse
Pastels gone like a child’s first kiss
What hurt you so bad? Was it incest?
Was it rape? Was it unrequited love?
Thick make up dressed in black
The times bury the soul alive
Her arms of empty tombs
Her arms can never hold me

Like a new widow who has buried love

Crime and Punishment

Brilliant dreams with silver ears
Hear the soul wise like the sea
Universal eyes that see the dawn
Golden sands shrines in light
The old farm like a lantern
Her hand of jewels is humble
Streets as decadent as greed
Reach for the lofty neon call
The sheen of darkness
Make love to your affliction
Pleasure of Dorian Grey
Haunted orgasms crawl

Where do we hide?
Where is my island of refuge?
Your arms hold me like the dying
Your kiss of thorns
Your red fingernails scratch
Gorged in the cloak of vampires
Moonlight like black whips
High heels as sharp as knives
Wet fire runs down your thighs
Severed like a guillotine
Ravaged and born into darkness
Her fishnet around my neck

Poets with talons
The script of the dead coffin
Candles of the pyre
I cry for my wet illusions
No self approval only applause
No gifts of songbirds only ravens
Red eyes glare in my dreams
The conscience of the moral law
Owls perched on ivory ethics
Love a punishing strange fire
Everything disconnected in lust
Sphinx night of sullen delight

Nothing condemns us like ourselves

Love and Fire

Fellini’s Rome joins my decadence
Earth chills my fallen bones
You are hot Venus in your radiance
We merge like two seas of fire
Religion restrains the open mind
Existential fire revels in desire

Can we find the narrow road?
Can we be this lustful and in love?
Stumbling toward our eternal home

Hunger like a lion lost in the city
Your silk dress shines like an eagle
Weak with orgasms you control me
Can I still balance this with my faith?
Your six-inch high heels like idols
Love is so powerful and strange

Your garter belts make me dream
Maybe love for a woman is fire
She walks into the church with me

Chacras open to her wolves

Wet hungry panthers
Cryptic whispers in the shadows
Welts and scratches

I am laid for hours by mystic tubes

Purple Pain-A Parody

Inspired by Barny the purple dinosaur

Parody of Prince's song Purple Rain

Purple pain
You were always meant I know
To cause me sorrow
You were always meant I know
To make me wanna bleed my own blood and gouge out my eyes
You were always meant I know
To cause me pain
Now all I ever want
Since I saw you on my tv screen is for you
You damm purple pain to drown
In the purple rain

Purple pain
Purple pain
Purple pain
Purple pain
Purple pain
Purple pain

I only want to see you drowning in the purple rain
Oh you damm purple pain

I never wanted my kids to love you
I only thought of you as some kind of fiend
Barney, I could never stand you for another minute
So my television now I must turn off
Even through I know it would make my babies cry
It's such a shame that your lifetime has't come to a end
Oh, oh yes it is

Purple pain
Purple pain
Purple pain
Purple pain
Purple pain
Purple pain

I only wanted to see you drown
You damm purple pain
In the purple rain
Oh yes it's true
Purple pain
In the purple rain

Honey, you must know
You must know
The channel I'm a changin'
It's time we all tune in to something new
That means not you
You say you could be a rating's leader
But your agent just can't seem to speak his mind
At the right time
I think you had better fire him
And let me drown you
You damm purple pain
In the purple rain

Purple pain
Purple pain
Purple pain
Purple pain

If you know who I'm singing about up here
C'mon raise your remote

Purple pain
Purple pain

I only want to see you
See you drown
Oh yeah, drown
You purple pain
In the purple rain

The Blues, The Jazz, The City

The city is jazz under neon lights
The jazz is blues stoned
And the city never forgets this
Like the heart never forgets to pulse
And the stars never forget to shine in the night
But it takes jazz to move it, to move it all
So the jazz is the beat that always burns
So the heavens continue to shine on and shine all

The jazz soothes the souls of the children
Though the city is old, the jazz is young
Thus the jazz, fast and heavy, radiates the city
She returns her to her ember glow in night

The city is high on the hill and low in the valley
She is the heart, the blessed nectar, the blossom shower
The jazz glows in prosperous tombs
She serves the crashing wave of the monsoon, to the city's bay, to the ancient harbor, across bold rivers, to lakes nestled in the safety of moors and battlefields, and sings to the forest and soaks the timber and every reborn city is cloaked in the fingertip of jazz
Since jazz destroys and creates, it is the fire, and so the smoke rises higher
Hark the newborn guff of jazz
The baptized funeral pyre

Hench jazz is the gospel, the good news
She returns though, always to the blues
Love the blue lady, her old cracked voice
The blues, the jazz, and the lady unite
To the bravery of her song she sang to the evil eyes of the Kodak dragon whose hair in the hiding bear under masks of hatred
The jealous lair, the haunt of despair
And jazz shines on, they can't stop her
The lady of the city sings to the farm
No choir can match the timbre of the lady
My first love,
She shines on for me when I am sad, through me in melancholy
And we join in joy, the lady sees all, feels all, and sings on
Rambunctious be the lady, the city, the blues
Who beat for hearts at night

From the slide trombone, the tut-tut-tut of the mighty snare
The brass milieu for brighter days and neon lights
The whimper
The whimper of the stand-up bass, who carries the beat, the jazz, the blues, the night
In your arms I am safe and sound, the sounds who hold me tight
And above all, upon the highest peak, the great black giants, the black hands and breath of jazz, food for the soul and fodder, who inspire all in the world
But the two giants upon the highest mountain compete for the night and walk away friends as we do
They too are the shine, the noble sheen, and while the lady sings, they dance, the boozers hound and prance, the lovers kneel and romance and the giants push the pebbles from beneath their mountain feet

Who knows how many souls the jazz saved, but I know she saved mine
The giants, trumpet and sax, and even the sweet other of New Orleans, a trumpet and voice, a demigod, and every other band and face and time
So the jazz soothed them too to be saved, as they played, we all played, and jazz shines for the night
And Jack drew the map in sketches, he saw the jazz, but the jazz sees all, and saves all who smile upon her because she loves all, but can only save those who hear her call because she is human
She is so human
She is the city of light of darkest night

But most of all I think on the lady
The lady is the city, sitting pretty, in a jam
The jam
The beat
The jazz
The lady
The city
The blues
Pushed forward by strongest beat, what a feat, and the children eat their meat
And meet those they should, the jazz rumbles on, singing the song, nothing wrong
And the lady smiles always because she is the beat of my heart, my soul
She blooms my flower
She waves my sound
She smiles
Smiles
The lady
With her cracked somber voice of the blues, the city, and jazz
She the great bell, cracked, she chimes for liberty, she chimes for freedom of the endless soul she saves
And the giants steamroll her, the angel ember young
And she flies in heaven where she belongs, singing for the city, the blues, the jazz
And love

The Stars of Home

Sultry inspiration the dark muse
Course set, red ominous sun
The inward sea of unresolved pain
Covered with the estranged masks
Bright radiant colors
Covered with shallow clay
Enveloped in entropy
Illustrations of the shadow fire
Pyre of poets lay their quills down
Still waters in the silent valley

The world has entered into my eyes
Sunset has its portent
Swords in the purple glare
My hour has no Eden
Contrasts between the armies
My heart is a battleground

A ladder amidst the storm
Sands of the seashore
Now the stars shine like home

Bells Of The Evening

Bells of the evening, o sing to my love
Tell her I miss her, my own turtledove
The streets of the old town are covered with rain
I think I might never know true love again
Im lost with no road signs to guide me
A slave to my whiskey and dreams
Bells of the evening, o bells that I love
Ive got some feelings I long to be rid of
Im not one to ramble; Im not one to boast
Though I had one lover more lovely than most
She was a country girl born to be free
Who took to the city by chance there to find me
Bells of the evening go pealin
Im down here listenin to you
Bells of the evening, o bells of the sea
Tell her that I love her, that Im lost and so lonely
Bells of the evening, your sweet sunday sound
Reminds me of the redwoods and moss covered ground
So if I should wander on back to the coast
Tell her to remember its her I need the most
Im caught by the minstrels misfortune
Of being forever displaced
Bells of the evening, o bells of the sea
Tell her that I love her; that Im lost Im so lonely

My Love Will Not Let You Down

At night I go to bed
But I just cant sleep
I got something runnin around my head
Ooh that just wont keep
In the silence I hear my heart beatin
Time slippin away
I got a time bomb tickin deep inside of me
Girl all I want to say
I keep searchin for you darlin
Searchin everywhere I go
And when I find you theres gonna be just one thing that you gotta know
One thing you gotta know
My love, love, love, love, love, love, will not let you down
My love, love, love, love, love, love, will not let you down
At night I walk the streets lookin for romance
But I always end up stumblin in a half trance
I search for a connection in some new eyes
That hardly protect you from too many dreams passed by
I see you standin, across the room watchin me without a sound
Im gonna push my way through that crowd
Im gonna tear your holy walls down
Tear all your walls down
My love, love, love, love, love, love, will not let you down
My love, love, love, love, love, love, will not let you down
My love, love, love, love, love, love, will not let you down
My love, love, love, love, love, love, will not let you down
Well hold still now darlin
Hold still for gods sake
Cause I got me a promise
I aint afraid to make (I aint afraid to make)
My love, love, love, love, love, love, will not let you down
My love, love, love, love, love, love, will not let you down
My love, love, love, love, love, love, will not let you down
My love, love, love, love, love, love, will not let you down
My love, love, love, love, love, love, will not let you down
