Temptation

Night comes, she retreats from love
Winter tears water her memories
Enough pain, she closes the door
Snow falls lightly, hearts freeze

No lavender or soft blue only shadows
Behind thick walls her poetry sighs
Art from the dark soul without sun
Cold frosted illicit moonlight shines

Temptation walks along the lost sea
Silver bracelets and golden chains
Eyes pierce through my weakness
By the fire she burns and waits

The treasures of lust howl like wolves
Winding stairways haunted with ghosts
Masks of feasts from ancient Castles
Winds blow along the barren coast

Collect lost souls with thighs of sin
Creatures dead dance in crimson red
Deep inside the islands become desert
Run from the stars to your fallen bed

She burns like Poe's House of Usher
Frozen lioness eyes raging with war
She calls my name and I must go
Between good and evil my soul is torn

Tonight silence pounds like drums
Her gown is silk and fine black lace
Loneliness springs like an endless well
Aquiline beauty in a Goddesses face

I enter into temptations moonlight

Bitten

Brazen glass moon like ice eyes
Fever in the chill of her gothic mask
Bitten by a creature of moonlight
Bitten and stung by her fire and touch
I am in the corridors of wet pain
Covens laugh in the theater of soul
Is this haven?
Is this shelter?
I walk where wind ghosts dance
Her high heels prance like panthers
Candles of cinnamon witches
Goddess of ancient fire

Her wolves are hungry pets
Released from cages deep within
Misty ravens of the labyrinth of sin
Some of us are afraid of castles
Some men are bound like caskets
She has taken the key from the dungeon
She tells me of kneeling
Now the moon rises over the castle
Red and black actors in chains
Dreams of her body of lace lust
Her spell cast in the moonlight mist
Wrestle with your will and her beauty

Bitten and turning into her night

Ghosts Of The Full Moon

Every moonbeam radiates joy
Sycamore trees in shadows of the sea
Savannah grass in green waves
Mystic winds blow the ancient souls
Let the fingers of night caress
Let the feelings sigh like a shaman
See the buffalo graze under the stars
Naked stars that pry memories
Stars of the future birth
Angel night where awe sails on time

We are temples
We are spiritual
We are part of the ghost world
Pearls of emerald waves
Seagulls fly like sailors souls

Onyx moon of silver ancestry
Valley of Kidron and golden tombs
Dreams walk the hallowed corridors
Touch the sacred wells deep in the sky
Irish fields green with souls
Ghosts of the Great Barrier Reef
Eyes like wandering lions
Buried inside the Great Wall of China
Castles along the Seines
Ships rise in the galaxies

Have you felt the shivers of the moors?
The ancient ones of the full moon
Villages appear in hallways of sleep
Words from the winds of love
Flaming swords with two edges
Gates where living waters flow
Caravans of stars
Desert visions
Black Sea silk
Her ecstasy is in a room of mirrors

Michael Angelo’s bust emanates
Rembrandt in the silent museum
Raphael grounded in sanity
Yellow lamp of ancient quills
Whale oil sires the ancient graves
Icy waves of the mariners vault
Stairways in a New Orleans house
Night as quiet as fear
Have your felt the river of night?
Have you seen green eyes stare?
Lovers feel a stranger in their bed
Do you believe in vampires? I do
Van Gogh was haunted

Soon you will hover
Soon we will be the night
Islands of Jules Verne
Opium dens of Calcutta
Tibetan monks chant
Impudent vengeance never sleeps
Sword of Spartacus revels in anger
Magnolia slaves of the plantations lair
Red eyes, keep a night light on
Avenues of Hades belladonna
Byron dressed in black velvet
Jim Morrison at a séance
Edgar Allen Poe knew the night

Indigo trees in the wind
Mango ghosts
The Nile where cobra’s laugh
Brazilian rosewood dreams
Spanish ghosts of Mediterranean blood
Tireless Volga a sage of time
Ethereal eyes like a slaughter
Tribes are wandering the silt fields
Mountains ghosts
Celtic rivers of the vivid mind
Can you feel their candles?
The wings of night flutter
Shadows merge breathing constellations
The wind blows the curtain lace
They gather in costumes under moonlight

Bed of Ghosts

Red wolves under the purple moon
She sighs like the wet tide
I have entered a dark door
Parallax lace tubes of silk
Covered in her golden pain
Eyes like castles of strange stone
Walls as high as broken glass
Maybe awakenings are over
Maybe the end is just a mirror
Is love another passport to pain

Now the circus bells sound like thunder
Pigeons feed on park benches
She loves gargoyles on the old church
We walk shrouded in rain
Panhandlers amidst the saved
Gothic lights from a forest of gray
Her red 5-inch heels click the cement
Everyone in a role
Everyone caught like a bomb shelter
We wait for a libido of silk doom

True love like a frozen river
Time settles sand in valleys of sorrow
Childhood oaks with boughs of dreams
No refuge in the ancient masks
Old swings where children played
First friends with granite memories
Joy like a vague painting, a wish
We hold hands under the lost neon
We talk of a future that already is gone
Make love to the images of silver swords

She loves midnight when darkness plays
The romance of Ann Rice
Vampires with garter belts
Moons that seem to melt into whips
Actors of Eugene O’Neil
Tennessee Williams and Poe
Blues and jazz as sultry as eyeliner
We kiss like wild wolves
Lioness that prowls these streets
I lay on a bed of ghosts

The Good Girl

She hides the darkness in vague poise
Black silk dreams next to her hymnal
Look in the mirror what do you see?
All the illusions that pain will waste

Lonely years of being the proper you
Acting from lines well rehearsed
Molded and formed into righteousness
She aches for the touch of a sinner

The full moon rises like a lioness
Wolves howl in sweet wildness
Myths dance with ancient vampires
Children of the night sing in revelry

She writes poetry like a dictionary
No soul, no fall, no dark shadows
Her flowers are hollow and plastic
She kisses a man she doesn't know

The Good Girl cries in the moonlight

Coal Black Night

Lighthouse lit amidst the clouds
Waves of ominous soul quell
Ships as abstract as ether
No stars shine on hell
Universe of lust
Lost in feasts of sumptuous gold
Draconian masters of pleasure
Tonight no blue flowers rise

Do you believe in possession?
Ghosts in closets
Dark tiers of sullen forces
Anger as deep as snakes
Sleep in the tangled bedrooms
Suicide amidst your fornication
Tired of love
Tired of righteous pursuit

Champaign glasses of dark crystal
Lavish red carpets
Semen stains lapped by devils
No morning sun shines on the pit
She bids me to join her lair
What goes on in the human fall?
Hearts covered in temptations call
Sleep with your snakes of love

She is attracted to my dark wings
Her icy nipples touch my gargoyles
Statues of vampires on fire
Rings old with spells sired of blood
Candles burn with crimson ceremony
Hallways between ancient graves
Have you felt the cold veins of time?
Murky eyes where light no longer shines

Verlaine is never dead
Rimbaud reads Byron
We are the decadent side of time
Have you ever laid a witch?
Silk stockings smooth like horns
Dark eye shadow carves my skin
Only the sound of the sea is human
The sounds of a whip hypnotize

I embrace the coal black night

Gasping For Light

1

i built a fire in the yard.
slowly walked back into the house.
gathering everything of value.
my books, my clothes, my boots,
old photographs, letters, pictures,
everything i've ever written.
every memory.

took them outside,
and fed them to the fire!
and walked off barefoot
into the night.

2

lover, dance with me!
we call unto each other
from distances, through barriers,
breaking down walls of seperation;
through tears and angry silence,
echoing through the night.

i kiss your eyes, your lips,
the arch of your neck.
your fingertips, your feet,
the inside of your thighs.
your wetness.

you open your eyes,
and the shadow disappears!

3

spirits dance in the moonlight!
a soft wind rustles
through the trees.
the howl of a dog,
car lights on a forgotten road;
a screen door closes softly.
old house wrapped in stillness.

only a faint sound.
the footsteps of God
walking in your heart!

4

i can smell your perfume,
or maybe the scent of rain coming.
i can taste you in the
cool damp earth,
in the blood of a small animal
killed by a passing car,
in the cry of the baby
waking up hungry,
in the web of the spider.
in the hollow of my soul.

5

two moths lost in the darkness,
gasping for light.

Fallen Saved

Waning repentance bought by purple merchants
Moons that grovel before your painted eyes
The sea still innocent
You are my sins my love
You are the unmasked whip
Sometimes I hate that I am so weak
I want to have sex with you every minute
When I am honest you are a vampire
Is my soul lost?
No! I am the fallen lover

Vultures are waiting
My bed is a pedicure
Searching for a heaven of flesh
Do you see the fire burning love
Making you into a brothel
Part of every woman is a stripper
Your weakness loves my desire
You feed the wolves
Your wet silk stockings
Your high heel marks
Yes, you lounge in heels
She walks in the castle of vampires

My altar is dark with black silk
Garter belts light candles
I have my ideals
I believe in God
Romance to me is silver stilettos
It is too late for change
You are tempest
You are my weakness
Help me go to heaven
Corsets and church
Wet dripping salvation
My mate is a Goddess of moonlight
I am waiting for the night
I will be faithful my princess of silk
The fallen saved with a prayer book

My Muse

They come in silk moonlight
Rising in the high notes
Lingering in corridors of poetry
Sighing in sweet chords
Tribes of ancient color
Spanish silver
Flamingo guitars
Lioness awakens my dry heart

Crinoline forest of mystic joy
Spanish moon shines like a spell
She has come from the sea
She brings me the hurt
She brings me compassion
Love is all the falsely accused
Be a man who cares she says
Her vision surrounds me

Her bracelets of Ulysses
Flowers of Ithaca
Tendrils grow in red gold
Feel the fingers of myth
Centuries in her soft touch
Rings filled with fate
The music burns dusky candles
Castles in the crying wind

See the broken man
Feel the wounded
Her breasts are filled with tears
She tells me of the poor
I am the narrow man of gold
I seek her eyes of beauty
She says grow like the forest
Let your heart see justice, mercy

Dancing by windows
Revel like new flowing love
She moves in shadows of time
Wrapped in gossamer stars
Hear the sweet piano
Feel the beat of fire
Cymbals shimmer with life
She reads a poem of Pablo Neruda

My muse wet like the sea

Old Fires

The fire burns low
Where it has burned ages ago,
Sinks and sighs
As it has done to a hundred eyes
Staring, staring
At the last cold smokeless glow.

Here men sat
Lonely and watched the golden grate
Turn at length black;
Heard the cooling iron crack:
Shadows, shadows,
Watching the shadows come and go.

And still the hiss
I hear, the soft fire's sob and kiss,
And still it burns
And the bright gold to crimson turns,
Sinking, sinking,
And the fire shadows larger grow.

O dark-cheeked fire,
Wasting like spent heart's desire,
You that were gold,
And now crimson will soon be cold--
Cold, cold,
Like moon-shadows on new snow.

Shadows all,
They that watched your shadows fall.
But now they come
Rising around me, grave and dumb....
Shadows, shadows,
Come as the fire-shadows go.

And stay, stay,
Though all the fire sink cold as clay,
Whispering still,
Ancestral wise Familiars--till,
Staring, staring,
Dawn's wild fires through the casement glow.

Mystic Red Rose

Pomegranate lips that kiss the night
She dreams visions of endless romance
Spin and weave your fine ivory moonlight
Our hearts with yearning wait the chance

Sealed with refined blossoms of spring
Everything flows like a glorious sea
Waiting for the bells of summer too ring
Portent blows in a sweet south breeze

Love has eyes deeper than the stars
Hear the cry of longing barren souls
She has fire from Venus, ice from Mars
Bring me your magic flowering meadow

Eyes meet each others deep desire
Nothing escapes the hour of light
Hearts revive in an oasis of fire
Fields of eternity glow in the night

Sorrow is being too far away from her
Time touches the altar of hot coals
She rides moonlight as the tides turn
Love burns like a mystic red rose

Dance In Silver Moonlight

I would dance with thee
among mountain peaks
beneath soft star lit night
under silver moonlight
sound of whisper creeks
to lovers hearts speaks
among moonlit silver rays
lover bound heart slaves

dance in silver moonlight
dance throughout night
sliver shadow love peaks
as this soul is lost in thee
two hearts moonlight free
never more parted can be

Love Burns

See what you do
You make me act so crazy
I'm overcome, I know
Stealin' my own show
For your love
And who am I now, Clown or Casanova
I'm never sure with you
And what more can I do
For your love burns
Warmer than you know
When love burns,
Never let it go away
And where do we go
Find a road to lead us
I'm searching in your eyes
A world beyond the skies
For your love burns
Brighter than you know
When love burns,
Never let it go away
Love burns
Brighter than you know
Oh, love burns
Never let it go away
Love burns when the spirit is wounded
Cut deep by the sound of rejection
Love burns in the soul of the seeker
Blue shadows in every direction
Love burns when the heart is uncovered
In the rage of the coldly storm
Love burns
Through the night and the morning
Till the frozen heart is warm
Love burns
Love burns
Love burns
Love burns

The Lonely

The lonely live in silent moonlight
Waiting for dreams with open hearts
Soft words ripple the serene water
The sky is dark, the universe silent

A winter leaf falls to the ground
Alone in the cold wind
Through the wilderness I hear your cry
I wish I could come to your longing heart

I too am searching for the golden kingdom
Through the curtain a light shines faint
We are together in soul and spirit
Children of a dream, waiting, watching

The morning will come soon, sleep my dear
We hope we are in someone else's dream
Hearts are deep wells and fill with sorrow
Today isn't tomorrow, the lonely think it is

Love is so close it is far away
One soul to another soul, see the door way
You are far away, yet I know your soul
We are together, we both are seekers of love

Kiss Of The Winter Moon

Darkness heals the wounds
that daylight laughter laid open.
Confess your secret dreams
before the audience of the moon.

To the silent night,
to the falling snow,
to the flickering star.

Embraced by shadows,
that feel what you feel,
that are what you are,
that dream what you dream.

The open winter window,
frames her featureless dark face,
betrayed by wisps of frosted breath,
and twinkling tears,
on frozen cheeks.

Soft...silent shadows,
caress her,
in a cloak,
of cold..
quiet..
snow.

a shiver,
a fallen tear,
becomes…
a snowflake.

Moonlight is forgiveness,
and kisses the face,
that is laughed at,
by the sun.

Shamans and Dreamers

Rise to the occasion, feathers and drums
Let the colors of the rainbow shine
These myths have faces, let them dance

Music is a shaman
Ghosts play in the sacred fire
Ancient voices come out of their graves

Vast rivers of life flow in quiet soul
Visions shelter interior hallways
Dreamers induce the mystic pathway

Cool summer breeze deep with ancestry
Eyes of night bright with oracles
The old clock chimes

Moonlight glow on the lake
Wolfs howl in the distant forest
Tears bring memories by a camp fire

Sailors on royal ships, marooned
Watery graves of sunken antiquity
Spirits in the world of shadow

We are the living past, tell their stories
We are the scribes of true history
Stars play like ancient divine thespians

Shamans and dreamers feel chills tonight

Red Candle

Red candle burns romantic in the night
Lovers hide from the barren torn world
Wrapped in symbols of hope and future

World war seems far from the moonlit sea
Passionate red roses for sweet lovers
Night covers time with universal desire

Goya painted ominous murals of truth
This red candle burns like rivers of blood
Christmas seems so sad for a soldier

Will a nuclear bomb blow out this red candle?
Existential sex like Ann Frank's last birthday
Pound your drums and fight your causes

The horrible crows fly in Van Gogh's mind
Hiroshima burns with a fire from hell
Tonight the red candle is for silk and lace

Ghosts Of The Sea

Calyx of forgotten souls
Crushed in the labyrinth
The sea whispers with ghosts
Cold night of the mariner
I hear the sigh of time
Every cry a breath of starlight
These dreams wash ashore
All your shelter leaves you

She fades like a winters day
No footprints along the tide
Seagulls circle golden history
Baroque poetry elegant as blue
Royal blue filled with radiant love
Ambiguous as the free will
Hard like diamond sextant notions
Under the sea my heart shines

Do we belong too one another?
Will the eastern sun bring us home?
I seek your values
I seek everyman free
I am the poor and frightened
You are the vulnerable
You are the divorced and hurting
We are the ghosts of the living sea

No epithet on the mystic waters
Names in ancient mystery
Caverns deep with leviathan
Wedding rings of the four winds
Empires rage tossed in the waves
Our ship joins mighty Neptune
Mountain villages with lanterns
Kelp and seaweed by our grave

Icy waters of the gracious Irish Sea
Crypts of the dusky Black Sea
For the sea shall give up its dead
A thousand tongues of the wind
We are beneath the pirate ships
Let the tides sing of love
Stars over the mighty Atlantic
Gales howl and we are at peace

Snowmelts like icy rivers of joy
Blending takes brave trust
Closer and wet with volcanoes
Islands swept with hurricanes
We were here and still are
Our candles join the tides
Moonlight eyes stare at me
The wind has called us

Whispering ghosts of the sea

Shadows Forever Free

Forsaken rooms wash with bold shadows
Quiet corridor seems to grow cold
Catherine walked the sweet spring meadow
My love will never become old
Altars with candles burning loftily
She is gone but whispers softly

Wine glasses elegant as the day she left
Time staggers like a whispering oak tree
Her gown hangs with its soft blue felt
I have left and soon will forever be free
She walks thru the window like moonlight
Appears in the mirror every blissful night

Catherine calls me to join her shadow
My work is done and I have given notice
Daily my restless mad joy seems to grow
I sleep near her sweet sensuous bodice
Tonight I walk the cliffs by the sea
Catherine bids me too finally be free

I am soon to live on the other side
Where no loneliness or worry abides
You ask if there is sun and stars there?
Does it matter? My Catherine is there
Amidst this house by the sea we shall ever be
Dancing in the moonlight shadows forever free

Blue Planet

Words of life last longer than diamonds
Byron writes with rivers of moonlight
His quill flashes through the centuries
Soul beyond the grave like distant stars

Everything glows tonight beyond sorrow
This moment contains the eternal past
Sown in time and raised immortal
The Moon of earth like topaz children

Planets of turquoise visitors tell the future
Born of a million fires of jubilant change
Orion's belt will lay down with the Lion
Man became a living soul created free

How glorious is the golden circle
Infinite love waits behind all discovery
Vast eternity in a moments awakening
Go out and look beyond the Vail

Tonight is a fine night for visitations
Doors of perception wait for open minds
Blake has visions deeper than rubies
The Shepard walks the stars tonight

The sea fills with living midnight stars
We travel in and out of mystic time
High blue dreams sail beyond the walls
Everything is washed in eternal silence
Light shines on a distant blue planet
