Priest
Through all the chapters of life's play
my flock I ever did beseech
the Holy Church’s sacred way
to follow, for the truth we teach, -
so all on the appointed day
St. Peter’s charity may stay
Through all life’s verses I’d allay
here fears, there tears, e’er sought to reach
the hearts of youth, the old, hair grey,
within my fold I’d always preach
that light eternal will array
all who do fight firm, don’t betray.
I wonder what to think of they
whose scarlet sins will never bleach,
who pawn their future lives for pay,
for silver coin their souls, - for each
Thy mercy, Lord, I humbly pray,
lest they should stoop ‘neath Satan’s sway.
Since souls are struck by doubt, dismay,
like driftwood stranded on life’s beach,
and since soon stiffens mortal clay,
contrite repentance is my speech: -
may those who He has drawn away
as angels rise at Judgement Day.

Beware of Satan, the Deceiver of the World
Satan deceives the world for long
As Gospel's truth aren't known to all;
He uses Christian rituals, rites,
Doctrines and laws to delude souls!
The evil spirit Satan thus
Enters the souls afilled with sin,
Pretending as Holy Spirit,
Duping even Christians with faith.
Satan can quote the scriptures well;
He uses name of Lord and God;
The Tempter is a ‘born' Liar;
And steals souls en way to heaven.
Receive the Holy Spirit then,
By knowing Gospel entirely;
And let Him dwell within always,
Enlightening your soul with grace.
False preachers in this world abound,
Who try to interpret the Word,
By creating ‘mass hypnosis',
And making people to convulse.
Loud hymns and intonations work
Illusions, magic, transient ‘cures',
Taking the minds and hearts to heights,
As if God has anointed one.
The Bible is the Word of God;
A heart with sin can't work like Christ;
Only a soul that's cleansed off sin
Can do the things, Jesus akin.
The Holy Spirit cannot dwell
In persons who have little faith,
In sacred words that Bible tells,
And live their lives as per God's Word.
A sustained life of prayer's first,
To follow foot-steps of Lord Christ;
A soul that's kept sin-free always
Can make the Holy Spirit stay.
The Holy Spirit dwells in those
Who have repented for their sins,
Renouncing Satan's pomps and works,
And never follow his vile ways!
No human act or endeavour
Can do miracles on one's own
But grace of God, prayer-obtained,
Alone can heal afflicted men.
For grace of God, strong faith is prime;
Fasting, prayers make life sublime;
Good deeds and charity are next;
All stem from love of Jesus Christ!
God sees the minds and hearts of men;
If body must be God's abode,
It should be freed of every sin,
And stay that way until one's death.
Beware of false teachers, prophets,
Who claim to see Jesus, Angels!
For, God was never seen by man,
From ever since the world began!

Vigilant
To pluck more men from the fire, on this day, is my heart’s desire,
To lead men to the light of Truth, so they won’t see God’s reproof,
Not a small rebuke my friend, as eternal darkness will be their end,
In those eternal flames of wrath, should they stay the present path.
I know this day my Redeemer lives, while new life to men He gives,
To all who call on Jesus Christ, God shall give to them Eternal Life.
All who’ve been deceived by men, who by God, stand condemned,
Must be reached with salvation, that comes from God’s Revelation.
Holding forth the Word of God, to spare men from God’s iron Rod,
The judging rod of God’s own Son, to judge the heart of everyone,
According to His Word we herald, not to some, but to all the world,
For when Christ returns again, His Judgment shall fall upon all men.
We need to reach men’s hearts, before the soul from earth departs,
Reach all men for Christ our Lord, helping the stray, to be restored,
Back, to The Rock of all Ages, through the Holy Scripture’s pages,
Where we find the only True Light, to lead lost souls from the night.
By The Savior I have been sent, with the Gospel, and to be vigilant,
To reach souls, as time is short, and soon all souls, Christ will sort,
And all men in the Book of Life, will enter eternity with Jesus Christ,
But, souls of those missing names, will be cast into eternal flames.
Prayer to the Holy Spirit
O Holy Spirit,
Third person of the Holy trinity;
Bond of harmony between the Father and Son;
Embodiment of eternal love and peace,
Come dwell forever within us.
Shower your gifts and wisdom;
Help us to spiritually better our lives
And souls, with your immense grace;
Bless our work and toil on earth,
Goad us to walk on the way to heaven always.
Do not allow us to stray from the divine path anytime;
Help us lead a Christ-centered life;
Bless our families and progeny;
Help us maintain Christian principles, morality and sense of values;
Help us lead a life of fortitude and
Love our neighbor as ourselves.
Train us to forgive and forget others’ trespasses;
Foster among us faith, hope, charity and love;
Ward off from our homes, sins of every kind;
Keep away the satanic forces that endlessly try to undo the virtues in us.
Help us brave the storms, travail and tribulations of earthly life.
Teach us to emulate the example of the Holy family;
Help us renounce satan, his pomps and works;
Help us give our mite to the harvest of holy souls;
May we pray with fervor incessantly, for conversion of souls to God.
May we share, spread and sow the love of God among our unfortunate fellow beings
Give us complete success against the evil one and a holy death.
May we pass the Final Test and take our soul undefiled to Heaven.
We beseech you to grant us the needed grace from time to time.
Amen.

‘holy Family Church House-warming, Perundurai, T.n.’
Excerpt from Dr John Celes’ Welcome Speech
(to be held on 05-02-2010)
The Shepherd comes to meet his flock,
And bless the church that’s newly built,
Wherein an older church had stood on rock –
A sacred ground of prayer for Catholics!
Let’s welcome him; let’s welcome him, ye sheep!
He brings with him his staff that protects us;
This is the time our hearts with joy must weep;
The anointing will give us greater bliss.
Let’s thank the Lord for giving us this house
Of prayer to worship the ‘King of kings’;
Let everyone take Jesus Christ as spouse,
And tread the road to heaven as earthlings.
The Church though small looks splendidly laid out;
It has been christened ‘Holy Family Church’;
Our parish is a small one without doubt,
Nevertheless, peeps in internet-search!
The flock is one led by our parish priest,
Father Claudius, a dynamic, young man!
Who works hard without mistakes in the least;
‘May God give him good health and long life-span! ’
Our heart-felt thanks to Bishop and all souls
Who gave the land for building the new Church;
Our hearty thanks to all who played new roles,
And doled the sums that can now help to preach.
God made it possible to build His house!
Let’s worship Him with masses, hymns and pray;
Let’s reach the world at the click of a mouse!
And preach the Word of God by night and day.
We thank You God for giving us this place,
And worship Jesus Christ, as a family;
Let sweat of foreheads reinforce this base,
And help to rear this provident LILY!
Dedicated to: The Most. Rev. Dr. Thomas Aquinas M.A., DCL.,
Bishop of Coimbatore diocese
Rev. Fr. Xavier Claudius, the Parish priest and
All parishners of ‘Holy Family Church, Perundurai, T.N., ’

To End In Reproof
Don’t think it to be strange, about evil’s depth and range,
Or evil’s very strong allure, when sin knocks at your door,
As men on this earth confer, with that wicked one Lucifer,
Who is a fallen angel at best, for putting God to that test.
But, for Satan’s wicked desire, he is destined for the fire,
That’s the eternal fires of Hell, where he will forever dwell;
Until then, earth’s a stage, filled with Satan’s wicked rage,
Gathering, til his curtain falls, to Hell, many aimless souls.
Aimless souls are everywhere, many so eternally unaware,
Pursuing life’s empty dreams, of Satan’s darker schemes;
With so many Satan’s easy prey, along life’s broader way,
Exposed to his evil seduction, upon a path of destruction.
Blinding the eyes of the world, as his darkness is unfurled,
Employing darkness of night, to hinder God’s saving light,
The light Satan does despise, as it opens hearts and eyes,
To the saving Truth of Christ, that grants souls Eternal Life.
Satan will go to any length, to reduce one’s moral strength,
Enticing the soul to follow him, to pursue a dark life of sin;
While he deceives the heart, before from earth they depart,
So they don’t embrace Truth, to see God’s eternal reproof.

Souls In Need of Biblical Truth
There are souls that are totally lost, totally adrift in religious sauce,
A religious soup, created by men, in which The Lord will condemn;
There’re those totally deceived, as The Truth they haven’t received,
Never embracing Truths of Christ, they have no hope of eternal life.
Others want nothing to do, with the One embraced by me and you,
Many truly have no want or desire, for our God, Who reigns higher;
There are men who’ve never heard, the many Truths in God’s Word,
The Eternal Truths in God’s Revelation, that brings one to salvation.
With God’s Purpose and Vision, we must reach men lost in religion,
Through the Truth from His Throne, they must come to Christ alone;
To those deceived by the enemy, The Truth we must help them see,
For in Scripture we are reminded, by Satan they have been blinded.
To all who dismiss God in every way, to God above, we must pray,
That His Holy Spirit, He imparts, to soften up the many hard hearts;
For all who never heard the Gospel, our Commission we must fulfill,
By reaching out into every nation, with the Good News of Salvation.
For all the souls presently lost, we must show the way to The Cross,
To all those deceived in this world, God’s Salvation we must herald,
For souls who want no part of Christ, we need to live a changed life,
Also for those who know not Truth, to be for Christ, His living proof.
All Souls’ Day
The many ones I knew are hardly seen;
My friends, relatives are in scarce numbers;
Their memories are truly evergreen;
But death has put those souls in deep slumbers!
Most near and dear and loved ones are all gone;
This world looks empty but their graves abound;
They couldn’t be saints but sinned even alone;
Their cemeteries with time are hardly found!
Yet, most had left with venial sins galore;
In Purgatory, God cleanses souls by grace;
They need our prayers to be freed much more;
Like gold refined, souls enter Heaven’s haze!
But fiery love of God can change their roles;
The ones in mortal sins are nearer hell;
God’s mystic mercy could redeem such souls;
The living souls on earth can make them well!
All Souls’ Day comes once in a year for all;
Let’s empty Purgatory by praying hard;
Let’s fast to hasten Almighty God’s call;
Recite the rosary to stay on guard!
God, send your angels soon to fetch all souls;
Their sufferings are much more than on earth;
Let light perpetual shine upon dead souls;
Take them to Your Abode and grant them mirth!
Show mercy Lord, on every soul, we pray!
Let light divine annul the hellish spray;
Forgive them, Jesus Christ, we beg to say;
Ignore their trespasses on Judgment Day!
Lovingly dedicated to all souls on ‘All Souls’ Day! ’

Parables of Jesus: ‘The Lost Sheep’
A shepherd with his hundred sheep,
Was grazing them in a meadow green;
When to his horror he noticed
That one was missing from the flock:
‘It wandered off and had got lost! ’
‘It wandered off and had got lost! ’
He left the ninety-nine behind
In the open, open country-side;
He went in search of the missing one,
And finding, lifted it with love,
Placed it on his shoulders, neck,
And came back to his flock with joy;
And came back to his flock with joy.
“Rejoice! I’ve found my sheep,
Just one out of a hundred fold,
One that was lost sometime ago,
I love it dearly anyhow!
Rejoice, my friends and neighbors all,
The sheep that was lost is found;
The sheep that was lost is found! ”
Sheep that was lost is like a soul,
Afilled with sins, and far from God;
And when a sinner repents then,
There’s much rejoicing in heaven;
There’s much rejoicing in heaven!
Lost sheep is like a sinner who
Commits sins and has strayed from God;
But God of love for all creatures,
Seeks him out without delay when
He has atoned for his sins,
And soul comes back to Maker’s fold;
And soul comes back to Maker’s fold.
The Good Shepherd – Lord Jesus Christ
Was sent to earth to be born man
in utter poverty and strife,
And suffer for the sins of all;
And suffer for the sins of all.
He came to earth to preach God’s Word
Of forgiveness of mankind’s sins;
He sought just sinners and not saints,
And made their hearts truly repent,
And saved them from the fiery hell,
Whither unrepentant souls go;
Whither unrepentant souls go.
The Good Shepherd is Jesus Christ,
Who came to preach the Word of God;
He sought the sinners’ souls all lost,
Explained to them about God’s love,
And the need to feel sorry,
As God’s ready to forgive sins,
No matter how many / grievous;
No matter how many / grievous!
Joy fills heaven, Abode of God,
And angels rejoice much more when
A penitent sinner repents,
And soul embraces God again;
And soul embraces God again;

Satan
Can Wolves shepherd a flock of lambs and sheep?
Can Lions guard the deer in forest pens?
Can Cats stay quiet, watching mice at play?
Can blind men lead the ones with good vision?
Some things are impossible in our life;
The innate characters of all can’t change;
Some exceptions are seen sometimes, some day;
Can Satan lead the souls to Heaven’s gates?
The fallen angels’ leader is Satan;
He is the Liar, Tempter of mankind;
He wants more souls to reach the Fire of Hell;
Relentlessly, he works to mislead souls.
But Satan knows he battles God, Most High;
His war is futile and destined to flop;
The Master of the Universe is God;
He will not forsake nor abandon man.

All Soul’s Day
God, many are the souls that left the earth;
Lord, many were in sin while departing;
The cleansing of souls takes in Purgatory;
Have mercy God and take them to heaven!
Man is not perfect anytime since birth;
Sinfulness fills his heart and mind till death;
Always a prey to Satan’s ploys, he stays;
The purity of soul is something rare.
Show mercy on our brethren God, we pray;
They lived a life of struggles upon earth;
Let Requiem masses celebrated bring
Release of more souls earlier than due dates!
Let Light eternal shine upon those souls
Whose threads of life were severed by rude death;
Let hymns of pleas on behalf of faithful
Open the gate of heaven to them soon!
Let world remember ‘All Souls Day’ and pray
For deliverance of the faithful dead;
Let acts of alms-giving and good deeds too
Kindle the heart of God to set them free!

Soul Must Be Pure
A married life’s like colored cloth;
A cloistered life, a pure-white garb!
A celibate avoids sex-thoughts;
All religious must live pure lives!
All forms of sin, we must avoid;
The mortal sins are soul-takers;
The clergy must be more cautious;
The devils tempt them miserably!
But God is holy in always;
Heaven abounds in holiness;
No sin-stained soul can stay with God,
Unless, He cleanses it, His way!
To fall in sin is man’s weakness;
God forgives hearts truly contrite;
Sin wounds and scars the soul somehow;
The grace of God must heal all souls!
The religious must be wary;
The devils hate them to the core;
They will not rest until they fall
Into their traps and snares, wily.
Even the empty mind can sin;
No saint is sinless or exempt;
But Christ has paid the price for sins
Of all mankind, once and for all!
But God stays by the righteous ones;
He lifts them up, each time they fall,
And fills their souls with much more grace,
Until their war with devils’ won!

Prayer Is the Soul's Sincere Desire
Prayer is the soul’s sincere desire,
Unuttered or expressed;
The motion of a hidden fire
That trembles in the breast.
Prayer is the burden of a sigh,
The falling of a tear
The upward glancing of an eye,
When none but God is near.
Prayer is the simplest form of speech
That infant lips can try;
The upward glancing of an eye,
When none but God is near.
Prayer is the Christian’s vital breath,
The Christian’s native air,
His watchword at the gates of death;
He enters heaven with prayer.
O Thou, by Whom we come to God,
The Life, the Truth, the Way;
The path of prayer Thyself hast trod:
Lord, teach us how to pray!
Prayer is the contrite sinner’s voice,
Returning from his ways,
While angels in their songs rejoice
And cry, “Behold, he prays!”
The saints in prayer appear as one
In word, in deed, and mind,
While with the Father and the Son
Sweet fellowship they find.
No prayer is made by man alone
The Holy Spirit pleads,
And Jesus, on th’eternal throne,
For sinners intercedes.
O Thou by Whom we come to God,
The Life, the Truth, the Way,
The path of prayer Thyself hast trod:
Lord, teach us how to pray.

A Catholic House-warming Prayer
By sweat of human forehead built,
And money earned in honest ways;
Reside good Christians within it;
God bless this family always!
O Holy Spirit, Dove of peace,
Preserve love, faith and unity;
Help us to live our life with ease
Through fortitude and piety.
O Mother Mary, pray for us!
Ask Jesus Christ to ever bless,
And keep our souls in grace of God,
Until we part to His abode!
Saint Joseph, show us God is first,
And how to be a father best;
And teach our children about Christ,
And emulate the Holy Nest.
O saints and angels, dwell here-in;
Pray that we stay away from sin;
And keep our soul’s gaze towards God,
Living our lives, like Jesus Lord.
O Jesus Lord, bless us, we pray;
Protect this home both night and day;
Help us to carry our life’s cross,
And serve God nobly without pause!
Lord Jesus, be our guiding Light;
Help us to speak the Truth always;
Goad us to do all things aright;
Proclaiming God to human race!

Sonnet: I Want To Follow Christ
So far in life, I have suffered a lot;
I’ve had my days of enjoyment also;
For hurried wealth, I can’t my conduct blot;
The shadow of the Cross, I now follow.
And ultimately, I must reach Heaven;
Our life on earth is preparatory;
And mortal sins, we must avoid as men;
For venial sins, we go to Purgatory.
A Christian life is difficult no doubt;
But I cannot waver now anymore;
The life of truth and joy to live, we ought;
Heaven’s light-house will guide us to its shore.
To follow Christ on earth I want always,
And He will show me how to pass my days.

To Jyothi Basu – A Loving Tribute: The ‘Lamp’ is dead: Its light will always stay!
The ‘Lamp’ that lit the homes of myriad souls,
Who toiled, tilled, slogged as Indians proud, galore,
And stayed as guiding light achieving goals,
Has lost its oil and wick, and burns no more!
It stood as beacon for numerous souls,
Who flocked to him for wisdom that they sought,
And always got much more than they had thought;
The Lamp is gone but light it shone will stay!
The doyen worked his way uphill in life;
He stood beside all workers in their strife;
He was a perfect man, so rarely found,
He could have become mountain but stayed mound!
‘Hats off’ to leaders great who simple stay,
And lead unselfishly for others, way;
Who hold on party-men a trance-like sway,
Who lived for good principles every day!
The Lamp had burned for others sake for long;
Its light remains in hearts of myriad souls;
His glorious work will stay alive by song;
The man of mettle, heart of steel hadn’t holes!
No wonder, leaders praise him all sky-high!
His honest national service cannot die;
He left too big a void to be filled nigh;
His love for India is too great to vie!
‘God grant his soul eternal rest’, we pray!
May others follow his footsteps and way;
‘His example was golden’, people say;
He shines in hearts of many souls each day!
The ‘lamp’ is dead: Its light will always stay!
Dedicated in loving memory of the demised soul!

His Church Can Rise Up
Today The Church can rise above, through God’s power and His Love.
She can rise up to the task at hand, and for The Lord can take a stand.
My friend, even in the darkest nights, we can rise up to greater heights.
For we can rise up in Christ’s Victory, as we march forward to Eternity.
Jesus Christ will build His Church, and build it upon The Savior’s worth.
She’s not built upon an earthly frame, but built upon Her Savior’s Name.
Jesus Christ the very Cornerstone, guides His Church from His Throne.
For His Church, Jesus Christ alone, is her foundation and the capstone.
He’s the Groom and we’re the Bride, and His Church will not be denied.
He’s creating a Holy Priesthood friend, of whose service will never end.
We my friends are the living stones, bought and placed by Christ alone,
We’re being built into a spiritual house, by the Church’s Eternal Spouse.
Even though darkened forces rail, the gates of Hades shall not prevail.
Christ’s Victory we can proclaim, through the power of His Holy Name.
We need to rise up above the night, and lift up high Christ’s Holy Light.
We can rise above every situation, and point the world to His salvation.
Very soon The Church will surly rise, to meet The Savior up in the skies,
Dear friend Satan is the defeated foe, and this we need to let men know.
So we need to rise up and tell all men, that Satan is the one condemned,
And when they join The Church of Christ, they too shall gain Eternal Life.

Some People
Some people seem to have it all
Some people always have to crawl
Some people pay to be abused
Some people end up destitute
Some people search their souls for truth
Some people try to be of use
Some people pray before they kill
Some people kill just for the thrill
Some people follow one mans vision, some others die on television
Some people build their homes on sand, some people live in garbage cans
Some people think that live is dear, some people hope the end is near
Some people fight for right to life, some people hate to stay alive
Some people dream of life on mars, some people end their life in cars
Some people throw their lives away, some others go on holidays
Some people live and love in vain, some people dont and go insane
Some people always need to win, some other people love to sin
Some people breaking all their vows, some people slashing sacred cows
Some people like to worship stars, some people think the worlds a farce
Some people try to make ends meet, some others end up kissing feet
Some people find their holy grail, some other people go to hell
Some people never catch their breath, some people drink themselves to death
Some people seem to have it all, some people always have to crawl
Some people pay to be abused, some people end up destitute
Some people search their souls for truth
Some people try to be of use

Spiritual Diversion
As he did to Israel, he’s doing again, turning hearts of religious men,
Away from God’s Truth and His Law, so that followers spiritually fall,
Falling away from Truth that’s clear, as The Lord, they no longer fear,
As in the past, Satan leads the way, to much apostasy we see today.
Unbiblical ways he will conceive, in many hearts, so that they believe,
The errors in Truth that will confound, as many fall from solid ground;
From The Solid Rock of Jesus Christ, men will pay the ultimate price,
When by Christ, they’ll be denied, for following that evil one who lied.
Satan, that ancient dragon, my friend, has just one goal for your end,
As God’s enemy has just one desire, to see souls in the Lake of Fire,
And Satan will use religious cause, to put our mind on spiritual pause,
To turn our hearts away from Truth, to set souls up for God’s reproof.
Israel had fallen into idolatry, and in some churches what do you see?
Statues fashioned by men’s hands, and in the church today it stands;
What about the “Queen of Heaven”, idolatry begot by spiritual leaven?
If it incited The Lord’s Anger then; aren’t they aware it’ll happen again?
And it is Satan, who orchestrates, all the diversion, for Truth he hates,
As only Truth alone saves men, extra biblical ways God will condemn,
So still today, he corrupts true faith, by having men, add on to Grace,
Knowing they will be denied by Christ, to enter death, not Eternal Life.

Our Task At Hand
If only more men could see, it’s not about down here, but Eternity,
But, Satan has blinded many eyes, to the Truths, he does despise,
As their heart he begins to deceive, like he did with Adam and Eve,
Questioning the very Word of God; fixing minds on the earthly sod.
For believers our job down here, is to make Gods Truth totally clear,
While fulfilling our primary role, as God moves on the wayward soul,
Being the light, which God requires, becoming all that Christ desires,
As God gives others spiritual sight, piercing darkness with His Light.
God works through the Holy Spirit, while we witness and they hear it,
Bringing light to God’s Revelation, focusing eyes upon His Salvation,
Today, believers must understand, the end for many souls is at hand,
And they will only have Eternal Life, through God’s Son, Jesus Christ.
The Truths that God put in our heart, to unbelievers we need to impart,
Knowing that The Holy Spirit is able, to change even that hardest fool,
And it’s The Lord God’s sole desire, to save all souls from eternal fire,
Through Christ’s redeeming sacrifice, providing all the way to Paradise.
All who continue believing Satan’s lie, apart from God will eternally die,
And o they must embrace God’s Truth, to avoid God’s eternal reproof,
So our task today is to lead all men, to Jesus Christ, to be Born Again,
Born from above into God’s Family, and granted life with God eternally.

It's Your Choice
All men on earth need God's Truth; His Word is all we need for proof,
For in God's Holy Word we read, God's Eternal Truths we must heed,
Future judgment is in store for all, decreed by God, from Adam's fall;
Lord, man's destiny is all but two, one being in Hell and one with you.
All souls on earth have a choice, that's to follow God or man's voice,
That is follow God's Holy Word, or man's opinions that you've heard,
Both will lead to one's final destiny, but two different places eternally,
Both with a changed body my friend, determined by your eternal end.
Everyone, while in their present life, must come to know Jesus Christ,
As He's the only one who can, accomplish the desired change in men,
The change, which after they've died, is into an eternal body, glorified,
As He changes man's present mortality, into a future, immortal eternity.
Neglecting Christ, for your views, shall bring you bad, not Good News,
That Good News is He's done it all, to save all souls, from Adam's fall,
Refusing Christ maintains separation, with The Living God of Salvation,
Friend, not only for just a short spell, but, an everlasting eternity in Hell.
Refusing God, come your last breath, you then, will enter eternal death,
Given a new body, that will endure, eternal separation, you can be sure;
The Lord today is on His Throne, that choice is yours, and yours alone,
Believe before your last breath, to receive Eternal Life instead of death.
