Prayer to the Holy Spirit

O Holy Spirit,
Third person of the Holy trinity;
Bond of harmony between the Father and Son;
Embodiment of eternal love and peace,
Come dwell forever within us.

Shower your gifts and wisdom;
Help us to spiritually better our lives
And souls, with your immense grace;
Bless our work and toil on earth,
Goad us to walk on the way to heaven always.

Do not allow us to stray from the divine path anytime;
Help us lead a Christ-centered life;
Bless our families and progeny;
Help us maintain Christian principles, morality and sense of values;
Help us lead a life of fortitude and
Love our neighbor as ourselves.

Train us to forgive and forget others’ trespasses;
Foster among us faith, hope, charity and love;
Ward off from our homes, sins of every kind;
Keep away the satanic forces that endlessly try to undo the virtues in us.
Help us brave the storms, travail and tribulations of earthly life.

Teach us to emulate the example of the Holy family;
Help us renounce satan, his pomps and works;
Help us give our mite to the harvest of holy souls;
May we pray with fervor incessantly, for conversion of souls to God.

May we share, spread and sow the love of God among our unfortunate fellow beings
Give us complete success against the evil one and a holy death.
May we pass the Final Test and take our soul undefiled to Heaven.
We beseech you to grant us the needed grace from time to time.
Amen.

A Catholic House-warming Prayer

By sweat of human forehead built,
And money earned in honest ways;
Reside good Christians within it;
God bless this family always!

O Holy Spirit, Dove of peace,
Preserve love, faith and unity;
Help us to live our life with ease
Through fortitude and piety.

O Mother Mary, pray for us!
Ask Jesus Christ to ever bless,
And keep our souls in grace of God,
Until we part to His abode!

Saint Joseph, show us God is first,
And how to be a father best;
And teach our children about Christ,
And emulate the Holy Nest.

O saints and angels, dwell here-in;
Pray that we stay away from sin;
And keep our soul’s gaze towards God,
Living our lives, like Jesus Lord.

O Jesus Lord, bless us, we pray;
Protect this home both night and day;
Help us to carry our life’s cross,
And serve God nobly without pause!

Lord Jesus, be our guiding Light;
Help us to speak the Truth always;
Goad us to do all things aright;
Proclaiming God to human race!

Beware of Satan, the Deceiver of the World

Satan deceives the world for long
As Gospel's truth aren't known to all;
He uses Christian rituals, rites,
Doctrines and laws to delude souls!

The evil spirit Satan thus
Enters the souls afilled with sin,
Pretending as Holy Spirit,
Duping even Christians with faith.

Satan can quote the scriptures well;
He uses name of Lord and God;
The Tempter is a ‘born' Liar;
And steals souls en way to heaven.

Receive the Holy Spirit then,
By knowing Gospel entirely;
And let Him dwell within always,
Enlightening your soul with grace.

False preachers in this world abound,
Who try to interpret the Word,
By creating ‘mass hypnosis',
And making people to convulse.

Loud hymns and intonations work
Illusions, magic, transient ‘cures',
Taking the minds and hearts to heights,
As if God has anointed one.

The Bible is the Word of God;
A heart with sin can't work like Christ;
Only a soul that's cleansed off sin
Can do the things, Jesus akin.

The Holy Spirit cannot dwell
In persons who have little faith,
In sacred words that Bible tells,
And live their lives as per God's Word.

A sustained life of prayer's first,
To follow foot-steps of Lord Christ;
A soul that's kept sin-free always
Can make the Holy Spirit stay.

The Holy Spirit dwells in those
Who have repented for their sins,
Renouncing Satan's pomps and works,
And never follow his vile ways!

No human act or endeavour
Can do miracles on one's own
But grace of God, prayer-obtained,
Alone can heal afflicted men.

For grace of God, strong faith is prime;
Fasting, prayers make life sublime;
Good deeds and charity are next;
All stem from love of Jesus Christ!

God sees the minds and hearts of men;
If body must be God's abode,
It should be freed of every sin,
And stay that way until one's death.

Beware of false teachers, prophets,
Who claim to see Jesus, Angels!
For, God was never seen by man,
From ever since the world began!

’Tis So Lovely To …

’Tis so lovely to be born a Christian;
’Tis so lovely to be a Roman Catholic;
’Tis so lovely to follow Jesus Christ;
’Tis so lovely to know the one, living God;
’Tis so lovely to read the Holy Bible;
’Tis so lovely to have Christian parents
’Tis so lovely to walk in the shadow of the Holy cross;
’Tis so lovely to spread the Gospel;
’Tis so lovely to obey God’s Ten Commandments;
’Tis so lovely to abide by the precepts of the holy Catholic Church;
’Tis so lovely to receive the Holy Sacraments;
’Tis so lovely to confess sins and gain forgiveness from God;
’Tis so lovely to receive the Holy Eucharist;
’Tis so lovely to be an example of Christ unto others;
’Tis so lovely to be a “Fisher of Souls”;
’Tis so lovely to do miracles like Christ;
’Tis so lovely to heal the sick by prayers;
’Tis so lovely to console the sick and the dying;
’Tis so lovely to live a life like that of Christ;
’Tis so lovely to keep the soul pure;
’Tis so lovely to be filled by the Holy Spirit;
’Tis so lovely to take the road to heaven;
’Tis so lovely to die a holy Christian death;
’Tis so lovely to resurrect after death;
’Tis so lovely to be spared of eternal damnation;
’Tis so lovely to have eternal life;
’Tis so lovely to live in commune with God
Forever in Heaven thereafter!

‘O Holy Spirit’ Prayer

O Holy Spirit, dwell in me,
And drive away the evil ones,
So that I’m freed from temptations,
And concentrate on work for God.

O Holy Spirit, be my guide,
All through my earthly life till death,
And fill my soul with grace enough,
That I don’t veer from righteousness.

O Holy Spirit, protect me,
From foes that plan my destruction,
And block my progress, here on earth,
And make my mind crestfallen fast.

O Holy Spirit, watch o’er me,
All night and day and when I’m ill,
And make my heart and mind steadfast,
So that, I tread the road to God.

O Holy Spirit, inspire me
To follow conscience without fail,
In matters that can confuse minds,
Despite my knowledge and wisdom.

O Holy Spirit, be with me,
Consoling when grief springs surprise,
And when my mind is much disturbed,
And drives me to sin’s ravines deep.

O Holy Spirit, be my strength,
In everything I do for God,
And earn my heaven, while on earth,
And fetch more souls for God’s abode.

Christian Marriage

God made you two as man and wife,
And live as one in earthly life;
The two bodies are now one flesh;
In Jesus Christ, you dwell, refresh.

No one on earth can separate,
Two souls ‘en way’ to Heaven’s Gate;
The marriage vows you took ’fore Lord,
Come sanctified by Divine Word.

For, Matrimony- sacrament,
Was made by Christ, a monument;
Forever love must then prevail,
Whatever comes as strife, travail.

When Christ suffered for sins of ours,
And shed His blood by death on cross,
Our suffering on earth is naught;
In joy of after-life, we’re caught!

God helps us brave all storms in life,
And timely aids us in all strife;
In Him, our faith should grow always
Until we pass our earthly days!

Ne’er fear: for God ne’er will forsake
The souls who live for His own sake;
Nor will He ever abandon
His righteous ones, the least even.

Believe the Lord and all He says;
Success on earth too comes in days;
Prepare your soul with grace always;
A Christian true has won the race!

The Gospel Says …

“You shall be holy for, I am holy”
“You are the chosen people of the One God;
Don’t be afraid to suffer for Christ’s sake;
Rewards await according to your work.

Just do the things God has told you to do;
Just speak what’s needed, nothing more or less;
Just bother not if you can’t understand;
All talents aren’t given to everyone.

Beware of false prophets and men of God;
Keep your soul pure for, death comes like a thief;
God gives the grace for good Christians in life;
No evil can befall them anytime.

Don’t give place to earthly things before God;
Hell was made for devils and wicked souls! ”

Let love of Jesus Christ…

Let love of Jesus Christ
Goad you to spread the Word
Across the world to all
And gather souls for God.

Let love of Jesus Christ
Help you to sacrifice
Your life to follow Him
On the road to heaven.

Let love of Jesus Christ
Make you carry your cross
And walk in the footsteps
Of Christ to Calvary.

Let love of Jesus Christ
Serve to encounter Him
In miraculous ways
Reinforcing your faith.

Let love of Jesus Christ
Help you to realize
The aim of earthly life
Is keeping soul sinfree.

Let love of Jesus Christ
Help you to sing and pray
For conversion of souls
And that more may see God!

‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY’, Rev. & Dear Father

Praise the day when you were born;
Thank the Lord for this great morn;
Sing good hymns and blow your horn;
Pray for parents for God’ altar, you now adorn!

God chose you from the rest of flock,
To be a Shepherd with a frock;
And guide all safely to the Rock,
That quenches thirst of souls that knock!

A priestly life’s closest to God!
You are one most beloved to the Lord;
Live your life as per His Word;
Fight satan with this divine sword!

The love of God will guide you through
The trials, travail that you woo;
The harvest work is tough to do,
But God will find more, when time’s due!

The shepherd runs, trudges and walks;
The Holy Spirit in him talks;
He gives the wisdom, power of staff;
Oh, let wolves come and hyenas laugh!

You have done well so far but still
More things will happen by God’s Will;
May grace of God, your soul afill,
And show the way in vale, uphill!

You have a flock to tend night/ day;
You have to put them in God’s way;
You have to tell what is God’s Say;
You have to sacrifice and pray!

Blessed is the man of God;
He speaks like Jesus, every word;
Like Christ Lord, he shepherds the herd;
All live with God in accord.

Your work can’t be extolled by word;
Your earthly life can be bit hard;
In heaven will be your reward;
This is to you my Birthday Card!

Fondly dedicated to Rev & Dear Father Xavier Claudius,
Parish Priest, ‘Holy Family Church’, Perundurai, Erode, Tamilnadu, India
On his birthday, by families and parishners

Here I Come-4

Holy holy is He
So merciful
Lion and King
Wonderful Counselor
Holy holy
Holy holy is He
Holy holy is He
Forever holy.

Most High God
Holy holy
Prince of Peace
Mighty Redeemer
King of Kings
Most High God
Holy holy
Holy holy is He
Holy holy is He
Forever holy.

Take my sins
As far as the east
Is from the west
Purge me
With your precious blood
Shelter me
From the storms
Cover me
With your glory
Holy holy
Holy holy is He
Holy holy is He
Forever holy.

You are so holy
You went to the cross
For me
So holy
You bled for me
So holy
You paid a price
I could not pay
Holy holy
Holy holy is He
Holy holy is He
Forever holy.

Father’s Day,2010

This Father’s Day, I was so very sad,
For none had greeted me, ‘My dear dad! ’
Despite my sadness, I tried to be glad,
For I wasn’t after all, a father bad!

I wondered what had gone wrong with this world;
Why were my family members being cold?
Was it their love for earthly things and gold?
Was it because I was now pretty old?

My people do not talk to me often;
No one finds time to forget or soften;
Were souls immersed in vice and mortal sin?
Were devils ravaging mankind to win?

I pondered over this problem for long;
Perhaps, the world forgot what’s right or wrong;
May be, in life, all hear a plaintive song;
Then, something struck my inner head like gong!

The modern world was searching for true love;
All want it but will not give it for now;
Man’s selfishness makes him raise his eyebrow;
Christ loves us truly from heaven above!

A day to show one’s love was missed so fast;
Man tries to be wiser from his sad past;
No one has patience to answer when asked;
The holy cross can make things well at last!

But everyone must take a share of blame;
Love lost in homes is matter of great shame;
We have forgotten earthly life’s main aim;
Pure souls can go to God from whence they came!

It’s time we walked on heaven’s road on earth!
We cannot forget God who gives each breath;
God’s love made us in human form at birth;
Can we not share with neighbors divine mirth?

‘Happy Father’s Day! ’

A Tribute to a Man of God- Bro. Dr. DGS Dhinakaran

A man who went to commit suicide,
Was picked by God to save sinners from hell,
Miraculously until ripe-old age;
God took him to His bosom after this.

The man of God had read the Bible well;
He prayed to God with fervor all his life,
Until the Holy Spirit entered him,
And changed his life of poverty and strife.

The man of God became Evangelist;
He quoted Scriptures to all suffering souls,
Explaining God’s message to all who thirst
For truth and Light and Way of Jesus Christ.

He talked to God and gained wisdom to guide
The many souls, who thronged to him for help;
God saw his love for fellowmen on earth,
And exalted his spiritual life.

The man of God had preached the Word of God
To human beings, right across the globe,
Performing miracles and healing sick,
Consoling all who begged of him to pray.

With time, he uttered prophecies as well;
He sowed the seeds of love and brotherhood;
He sang a lot of hymns right from his heart,
In praise of God and thanked Him for his lot.

Oh, what a holy life, it turned to be!
The Holy Spirit blessed his family;
He lamented to God for others’ sake;
Well-pleased, God took him to Elysium’s Lake!

The world had lost a fragrant flower great;
The void cannot be filled except by God;
The pot had served His Potter’s every wish;
He turned ‘Fisher of men and not of fish! ’

He’s gone to see his loving Angeline-
His only daughter who preceded him;
From heaven, he’ll direct his kith and kin,
In saving mankind from all grievous sin.

The noble soul is now in God’s Abode;
He’ll plead to God to shake the world of men;
The modern world has people with big sins;
He’ll tell the Maker what the righteous need.

The ways of God are glorious and strange;
He enters hearts of souls who welcome change;
The works of God are mighty in its range;
The man of God will bring His divine change.

Jesus Christ, Our Hope, Strength and Refuge!

For sins of human beings all,
Lord Jesus laid His life on cross;
Although a sin-free soul Himself,
He suffered, died to redeem man.

He shed His every dropp of blood,
Emancipating human race
From punishment by hell for sins –
Such heinous crimes upon the earth!

The cross is part of Christian’s life,
And persecutions will happen,
As Christ predicted all these things,
For those who walked in His foot-steps!

His Holy Spirit guides Christians,
Who live a righteous life for Christ,
The only Son of Almighty –
A heart of immense love for man!

But Christ resurrected from death!
He won clear victory o’er satan;
All Christians good will do the same;
This faith is something strangely true.

Let humiliations come in life!
Let trials, tribulations come!
Let strife threaten our faith and hope!
Christ stays with us till end of time!

A Christian takes his cross and walks
Behind the Savior, Jesus Christ –
The Light and Truth and only Way
To reach Heaven, abode of God!

As The Spirit Moves

We’re moved on by the Spirit of God, where we’re found upon this sod,
Enlightened right at that very place, through The Lord’s Amazing Grace.
Moved to make a decision for Him, as a darkened sinner lost in our sin,
A decision that changes our life, as we accept The Savior, Jesus Christ.

Once we were enemies with God, and now lead by God’s staff and rod,
No need at all to look to the Lord, now His Lead and Grace is implored,
And The Spirit who first moved on us, now lives in all, who in God trust,
Sealed by God’s Spirit from above, are all those saved by God’s Love.

In our unbelief we stood at enmity, with our Creator and God of Eternity,
Merely wanders down upon this earth, born in sin through a natural birth,
But by God’s Spirit we’re Born Again, no longer an enemy, now a friend,
And now a member of God’s family, in a relationship that’ll last eternally.

The Holy Spirit, sent by our Creator, points all men to Christ, The Savior,
Savior and The Lord of all creation, who sent from God, is our salvation,
Prompted by The Father’s Love, Christ left His Throne, in Heaven above,
To be a Lamb and Shepherd too, of all believing souls, like me and you.

Now God’s Holy Spirit lives within, all true believers saved from their sin,
To live this present life a new way, lead by the Spirit each and every day,
To be Christ’s witness and His light, to all those men still lost in the night,
As God moves upon another soul, with His Spirit, to join in Christ’s Fold.

On Becoming a Priest…

Tomorrow may not come at all;
Listen today to Jesus’ call;
Now is the time to truly act;
This is the truth of life and fact.

The man of poverty can shine,
More than the moon or sun so fine;
Humble yourself and make accord
For life, with Almighty God, Lord.

Stands before him, the Holy Cross;
God shows that Jesus Christ is boss;
The Monstrance is Christ’s earthly home;
The penitent is most welcome.

Only the soul pure can commune,
And walk or run to divine tune;
The Eucharist is prime in life,
No matter any kind of strife.

The body, blood of Jesus Christ
Is food for any holy priest;
Nothing can deter when God calls,
For Jesus lifts you up from falls!

The greatest gift of life from God
Is returned back to Jesus Lord;
The world or devils can’t stop you
From love of God, that you thus do.

The grace of God strengthens your soul,
And brazens you up for new role;
And if your calling is so true,
God gives you every kind of cue.

Ascertaining your love for Him,
While crave for world turns very dim,
The oracle is very clear;
The road to heaven brings no fear.

One needs to do much sacrifice,
And give up every kind of vice;
For anyone can turn a saint,
When grace of God becomes soul’s paint!

The Lord will surely help you out
From obstacles, without a doubt;
For, priesthood is the clarion call
For man to enter God’s own hall.

Ordination is Sacrament
Most Holy, and most paramount;
God’s love encompasses the soul;
Service to God becomes prime goal.

The road to heaven becomes straight;
Eternity with God is fate;
Bringing more souls to God is prime;
God shows the way in His own time!

Love priesthood, man for God beckons,
And Jesus Christ Himself reckons;
Rewards in Heaven you await,
However narrow be its gate!

Sonnet- A Hymn To God

0 God, forgive my youthful blunders made;
Forgive my sins of yesteryears till date;
0 let my vanity of sins past fade;
Thy Wisdom and Thy grace improve my fate.

How weary is my mind and body now?
My soul impure too craves to turn holy;
How splendid and immense has been thine love?
Thou bore for man upon a cruciate tree.

Allow my string of life to become strong,
And give me time to undo all my wrong;
Upon thy heart to rest, how much I long?
0 hear 0 God, at least my plaintive song.
How can I let my earthly life to pass,
And miss Heaven awaiting me, Alas?

In Jesus Name

In Jesus Name a mighty love
Was sent upon the Earth,
The Holy Spirit from above
Is meant to prove His worth
For Jesus Christ, God's Holy Son,
Was whipped and crucified
So that a perfect work was done
In which we can take pride.

In Christ we boast the whole day long,
Our Saviour and our Lord,
For in His faith each soul is strong,
Triumphant and assured.
Restored beyond our wildest dreams
And all our precious prayers,
We know life isn't what it seems
And that our Father cares...

Lord Jesus tells us, 'I LOVE YOU! '
That's such a wondrous phrase...
He bids us pray for others, too,
For purity and grace...
God bless our lives! God bless our lands!
God heal us day-by-day!
In Jesus Name we raise our hands
And pray and pray and pray...

Changing Hearts

Hard hearts of the human race, desperately in need of God’s Grace,
Not compelled by God’s Truth at all, from being tainted by man’s fall.
The natural mind cannot conceive, Truths from God that we believe,
They don’t look beyond the earth, never experiencing a spiritual birth.

It’s Christ’s Spirit who opens eyes, of those men believed to be wise,
Spiritually blinded by God’s enemy, who preys on hearts relentlessly.
Causing those who are spiritually blind, to close both heart and mind,
To the Eternal things of God above, causing them to refuse His Love.

The Spirit sheds light upon the dark, opening up their mind and heart,
God frees men from earthly creeds, directing hearts to eternal needs.
Through the Spirit of Jesus Christ, some begin reflecting on their life,
Where they will be when life is done, if they finish without God’s Son.

The Christ who came to earth to die, to give life meaning to you and I,
And give a Hope to all who believe; lead by The Spirit they do receive.
Christ leaves it up to men to herald, The Eternal Truth to all the world,
With The Holy Spirit far in the lead, helping many to hear and to heed.

The Holy Spirit truly changes men, in ways that we can’t comprehend,
Even the most darkened of hearts, is moved by Truth that He imparts.
They believe and become born again, to live their lives as Godly men,
Being born anew, from God above, they spiritually grow in God’s Love.

Listen to Jesus’ Call

The man I know as Jesus,
Is Son of God, Most High;
-Conceived by Holy Spirit
In Virgin Mary’s womb!

He came to save all sinners
By death upon the cross;
He resurrected third day,
And showed his Godly powers!

What love has Father shown us!
Though earthlings don’t deserve;
He sacrificed His Son’s life,
To pay souls’ freedom price!

Now all can go to heaven,
If we can follow Christ;
Take up your cross and walk then
In footsteps of the Lord.

Renounce the work of devils;
Put trust in Jesus Christ;
He comes to judge all mankind,
When He comes second time!

Repent for sins of past years;
Reconcile with the Lord;
Remember Heaven’s nigh
For righteous and upright.

Jesus can forgive sins all;
Just ask and be made pure;
He waits in Heaven’s glory
For every soul, He made!

Oh, what a wonder God is!
He’s awesome, most loving;
His mercy is infinite
Listen to Jesus’ call!
