Many Roads Await

Many links extended, t[r]end outwards into light,
As rainbow drops descended dispense due dew delight.
New roads must be defended to stimulate, rewrite
Years starting, for years ended show slight reflection bright.
Right, wrong, misapprehended, are neither black nor white,
Out and inside when [bl]ended, intolerance indict.
As wheels turn, Time, suspended, prepares for further flight,
Dream theme streams are intended to startle, day and night.
Spread is each page portended as message to incite
All walls to fall, bridge mended, ways narrow dynamite
With fervence unpretended so men worldwide unite.
All roads to Rome, befriended, help ease the people's plight
Imply toil, tears expended gain better world in sight.
Tomorrow's tracks extended just future must invite.

Is Progress Over-Rated?

When choice is confiscated by little minds or might,
scope's rightful place vacated when bigotry or spite
come unanticipated to sweep away delight,
or red-tape inundated by petty parasite
as bureaucrat fat, sated, sets rules sans oversight,
those once emancipated must reclaim civil right
heed call anticipated, prepare for freedom's fight.

When equity is bended by vested interests quite
at ease corruption tended or theft's waft weft sown tight,
when energy expended perverted is, insight
should channel scope extended, intolerance indict.
When walls fall, bridges mended, prepare for further flight.

With justice dislocated ways narrow dynamite
diversity related to understanding's light,
then truth, communicated, should everyone incite
to see trust reinstated in statutes black and white
while judgements biased, weighted, are banished, all upright.

Tomorrow's tracks extended just future must invite
to spread ways, truth defended, to readily excite
imaginations blended with acts which reunite
new paths to be defended to stimulate, rewrite
a future fair and splendid which whets hope's appetite.

Is 'progress' over-rated as terran terabyte
nets hearts which once vibrated for few now underwrite
the principles once stated as everyman's birthright.
Is man's great plan, once fêted, doomed to unending plight
with tenderness' star fated to dim, disc overwrite.

Years new witness tears ended, show fresh reflection bright.
as errors apprehended, amended are a-right,
transparency intended to banish bias blight,
as wheels turn, Time, suspended, might rediscover light
with ardour unpretended, with better world in sight.

Our verses here are ended with neither joy nor spite,
the moral that's appended - distrust hierarchies' bite.

The Missing Finger

You left us with ten fingers and,
Came back with nine fingers;
What really went wrong?
Fifteen years away from home,
We are yet to know what really went wrong;
Fifteen years away to make some money,
What really went wrong with your missing finger?
You made enough money and thought that,
You were richer than the President;
Today, you've returned home poorer than before!

There is time for everything,
A time to gain and a time to lose;
What really went wrong?
From a flight to your plight,
Who will help you now?
Fifteen years awayto make some money,
But today you can't even eat well at home;
From a flight to your plight,
Today you can't even sleep well at home;
Fifteen years away to make some money,
The very colours of the rainbow with a view;
You left us with ten fingers and,
Came back home with nine fingers;
What really went wrong?

From a flight to your plight,
Fifteen years away to make some money;
From the land of red, gold and green! !
From a flight to a plight,
It's all part of a lesson;
You are now at home at last.

The President was at the stadium but,
Where were you?
It is better to be humble than to boast.
Flight, sight, might, bright, tight, light;
You're poorer than fifteen years ago!
Bite, kite, height, fight, eight, plight;
You're poorer than fifteen years ago!
Quiet, rite, white, night, site, write;
You're poorer than fifteen years ago!
Today, the President is better off than you.

Anthology Prepared

His wish was wit with wisdom well to wed
within an epigram, - he found instead
some thought slight wit was there and that was slight,
he witless seemed to others, lacked insight.

He kept in sight their criticism there,
and kept from sight verse, parodies hors pair,
for some insipid seemed, rose-water, trite, -
but then began to fly another kite.

He pruned, he tuned, communed, was often led
to pulp the offspring fond that Time had bled,
until the flow could sew in framwork tight
both harmony and sense, in fancy’s flight.

For the first time he’s spurred to offer fare, -
incisive works beyond the critics’ care,
will cast no anxious glance to who’d indict
with bark or bite the verses seen tonight.

Dust swept by one who sought to look ahead,
through Internet a reputation spread, -
but what is fame, a lighthouse in the night,
a passing beam before eternal night...

May this collection transcend Time the slayer,
to challenge finite ends is poet’s prayer.
May this selection stimulate, invite
reflection, humour, pleasure bright.

Mr. Me

Once a boy named mister me bemoaned a great regret
I've floundered in the misty sea, but can't abide its mystery
I wound up sad, you bet
So onward go and edward ho into the bounding main
Enjoy the show look out below but mind the misty sea
Or end up sad like mister me
He ended up sad
He ended up sad
He ended up really, really, really sad
He ended up sad
He ended up sad
He ended up really, really, really sad
So take the hand of mister me and mister, make him glad
To swim the mister misty sea and cease the mister mystery
That mister, made him sad
He ended up sad
He ended up sad
He ended up really, really, really sad
He ended up sad
He ended up sad
He ended up really, really, really sad
He ended up sad

Hello, Rainbow!

Rainbow, Rainbow
that was her nickname.
A name she had obtained,
for all the colors she'd appreciate.
Rainbow, Rainbow
that was her calling
to come out in style to show the worlds vibrant.
Rainbow, Rainbow
they laughed at her colors
said she was different
not normal like others.
Rainbow, Rainbow
they took her as a joke.
Just a mere girl looking for attention you know?
Rainbow, Rainbow
lover of rain
not a care in the world of what other people say.
Rainbow, Rainbow
she started too change
The world saw her brightly
now shes all black and grey.
Rainbow, Rainbow
why goes this way.
We've all secretly loved you.
So why not stay the same!
Rainbow, Rainbow
you bring us joy
You shed light too our day.
So go back to your ways
Rainbow, Rainbow
we appreciate your love!
We see differently now
so stay who you are.
Rainbow, Rainbow!
That's who I am.
A girl of 14
who is oddly at best.
Rainbow, Rainbow!
Everyone calls me that.
I'm just a use for you all
, but i don't mind that.
Rainbow, Rainbow
A mirror image I am.
A reflection of colors
that most people don't understand.
Rainbow, Rainbow
you called my name?
Why hello I'm here.
To shed light to your day

Jerusalem

Jerusalem, Jerusalem all roads lead to you.
Jerusalem, Jerusalem your light is shinning through.
And you will show, show the way, to all who see it shine,
That we can live, in peace, in Jerusalem this time.
The walls will keep you in, the walls will keep you out.
The gates are calling those, who know what it's about.
Jerusalem, Jerusalem all roads lead to you.
Jerusalem, Jerusalem your light is shinning through.
And you will show (you will show), show the way (show the way), to all who see it shine,
That we can live, in peace, in Jerusalem this time.
Jerusalem is old, Jerusalem is new,
Jerusalem can hold, Moslem, Christian, Jew.
In Jerusalem, Jerusalem all roads lead to you.
Jerusalem, Jerusalem your light is shinning through.
And you will show (you will show), show the way (show the way), to all who see it shine,
That we can live, in peace, in Jerusalem this time.
(Bridge)
The markets and the alleys, the temples and the tombs.
A place for all believers, it has so many rooms.
In Jerusalem, Jerusalem all roads lead to you.
Jerusalem, Jerusalem your light is shinning through.
And you will show (you will show), show the way (show the way), to all who see it shine,
That we can live, in peace, in Jerusalem this time.
Yes, we can live, in peace, in Jerusalem this time.

On This Night

White sheets fall around the car
For it is not too far
The roads are white, and un-changing sheets of ice surround it
The roads are lightly lit
It is not far now something will happen, something will move
You always knew the car would loose
This battle of the night
You start to loose your sight
The roads are hidden from your gaze
The windows in a soft haze
The wheel moves, you turn trying to stop before the gate
It is too late
The brakes won’t save you know, the car skids to the side
This will be your last ride.
The impact sends you towards the windshield you cover your eyes and head
This is the end you know inside
You’ll never see your children’s smiling faces
Your mind is in a maze
You do not know what is happening you do not remember
All you know is it is December
The month of giving, you shall not give you shall not receive but death shall find were you stand
The car comes to a stop wheels spinning above you, the blood on your hands
The light fades all around you flames dance
The light is now no more, you lay still flames around you in the night, the snow falls on
It does not notice, but fills on your sweet face; you hear the voices above roll on
It is too late
For this night holds your fate
For on this night you shall loose your site

Tears

Our love, girl, is going through changes
I dont know if Im alive, dead, dying or just a little jaded
Someone throw me a line
You know I need it, I need it bad
Lost in a maze of my own making
No way out that I can find, send home your hard working jury
Im going down this time
Youd better believe it, yes, you had
So if you hear me crying, or talking in my sleep
Dont be afraid, its just the hours that I keep
We gotta love to last for a million years
A love that could never fade through the tracks of your tears
All I can do is hope that you will see me fall
Do your best to smash my picture on your wall
Forgive me baby, absolve me, my dear
Ive seen the future in the tracks of your tears
Ive seen the future in the tracks of your tears
Of your tears, of your tears
I cast a shorter shadow with every passing day
No time to think Im just fading away
Some kind of magic in all your hopes and fears
Show me the future through the tracks of your tears

Time's Tide

Those cause/effect relations seek to investigate
ask why life’s lamentations can’t flow past pearly gate,
why can’t hope’s expectations some sects anticipate
show we’re wheeled incarnations, frustrations, fears, negate

Why worry what tomorrow may offer if at all,
share laughter, spurning sorrow, ignoring wailing wall,
each wakes one day, hopes hollow, must piper pay as shawl
in winding sheet few follow, no trumps for final call.

Time's tide has been extended beyond the sands of hope,
free ride from heyday ended, frayed tether, broken rope,
recount lost time expended, events' ghost mirage grope,
as most proud man intended black hole's Time's telescope.

Bright spark - life's candle gutters - so swiftly movements cease,
one cry before heart flutters, before 'Here rests in peace! '
one sigh then parting’s shutters are drawn with no surcease,
one dies while crowd bread butters inheritance apiece.

In youth great expectations mask ignorance - a vice -
few meet anticipations, most, sour, scower at Fate’s dice.
life’s joke is on Creation’s head, ne’er repeated twice,
one innings: vindications leave after-thoughts to lice.

Behind lie verses threaded, skeins sense retains in vain,
life's loves too soon are bedded by Fate immune to pain.
life’s gloves too soon are shredded by thorny greed for gain,
‘Above’ is concept wedded to fear, none bat again.

Time's Tide

Some cause/effect relations
would understand and splice -
what wall of lamentations
may give a game played twice?

Why care Creation's date to play -
the aeons ebb and flow, -
Man wakes one day with price to pay,
and nowhere left to go.

Time's tide has been extended
beyond the sands of hope,
the time for games has ended,
what trumps remain, what scope?

In youth great expectations
masked ignorance - a vice -
of how anticipations
can sour at throw of dice.

A spark, - life's candle gutters -
so swiftly mouvements cease.
One cry before heart flutters,
before 'Here rests in peace! '

Luck's tithe has been expended,
no slack remains, the rope
draws tight 'spite rules once bended
to ease life's line, to cope.

And like these verses threaded
in skein sense would retain,
Life's loves too soon are bedded
by Fate immune to pain.

Ignition Recognition 0796

We, swathed in shadow-dream by night
from prying eyes ride out of sight,
none see us there.
You, super nova, shining bright
shall shiver-quiver with delight,
my hand your hair.
We toss, we cross from left to right,
adrenalin excited quite
from time-line where
wild whispers wraith-race round at quite
a rate, chased waist, taste, kiss requite
as everywhere
our earth spins like a top, black, white,
fade as we both incite, excite
twinned souls laid bare
from whom sounds issue as stage-fright
[f]lash feelings pulse, what's wrong? what's right?
whip need[l]ing care!
Lush rush primaeval lusts invite
to revelation as insight
flushes despair.
When inside out returns to bite,
for more both plead, in depth find height
too sweet to bear.
Hands twin heart, skin, win win sheds spite,
transcends dimensions, knows we might
be anywhere.
No thighs, bond_age ties, cries, just flight
beyond stars seen when day and night,
earth, fire, sea, air
compounded are as they ignite in recognition's second sight,
caress hors pair!

I Just Don't Have The Heart

Love had ended
Can't be mended
All along the line
I've been true to you
Even though for some time
I knew we were through
I was feeling
That love had ended
Can't be mended
But i can't bear to see you cry
The feeling's gone
It's been missing too long
But i just don't have the heart
I just don't have the heart to tell you
It's such a shame
That it's ended this way
But i just don't have the heart
I just don't have the heart to tell you
There'll be no goodbyes
There are no words to say
When you realise
That i'm far away
You'll be hurting
Like i've been hurting
The truth was burning
But i just can't say goodbye
The feeling's gone
It's been missing too long
But i just don't have the heart
I just don't have the heart to tell you
It's such a shame
That it's ended this way
But i just don't have the heart
I just don't have the heart to tell you
Ooh but i just don't have the heart
I just don't have the heart to tell you
If i stopped to think about
The good times that we shared
I could fool myself believing
That somehow love, love was still there
Ooh (love, love, love, love, love had ended)
(love, love, love, love, love had ended)
I was feeling
That love had ended
Can't be mended
But i can't bear to see you cry
(repeat chorus)

A Winter Landscape

All night, all day, in dizzy, downward flight,
Fell the wild-whirling, vague, chaotic snow,
Till every landmark of the earth below,
Trees, moorlands, roads, and each familiar sight
Were blotted out by the bewildering white.
And winds, now shrieking loud, now whimpering low,
Seemed lamentations for the world-old woe
That death must swallow life, and darkness light.

But all at once the rack was blown away,
The snowstorm hushing ended in a sigh;
Then like a flame the crescent moon on high
Leaped forth among the planets; pure as they,
Earth vied in whiteness with the Milky Way:
Herself a star beneath the starry sky.

Rain drops fall from heaven

Tears swelling up in my eyes every night
Rain drops fall from heaven
Simply a walking disguise in the light
Rain drops fall from heaven

Wondering when i will be alright
Rain drops fall from heaven
Growing so weak no energy to fight
Rain drops fall from heaven

Losing all hope in my mind
Rain drops fall from heaven
Wishing that i could simply unwind
Rain drops fall from heaven

As time goes love makes me blind
Rain drops fall from heaven
Wishing i didn't have to leave her behind
Rain drops fall from heaven

Wanting to make everything right
Rain drops fall from heaven
Wishing i could see her in sight
Rain drops fall from heaven

Wishing I had the strength to fight
Rain drops fall from heaven
Wishing i could hold her tight
Rain drops fall from heaven

Never knowing if she remembers me
Rain drops fall from heaven
Never know if we were meant to be
Rain drops fall from heaven

Wishing i had more time to see
Rain drops fall from heaven
My family that always loved me
Rain drops fall from heaven

Thinking back to the times we had
Rain drops fall from heaven
Smiles and laughter but yet so sad
Rain drops fall from heaven

Just sitting here all alone
Rain drops fall from heaven
Wishing i was way back home
Rain drops fall from heaven

Now the only thing that is on my mind
Rain drops fall from heaven
Is the memories i have way back in time
Rain drops fall from heaven

The tears from my eyes and deep inside
Rain drops fall from heaven
Matches the drops that come from the sky
Rain drops fall from heaven

If you could even begin to wonder why
Rain drops fall from heaven
It is simply those tears from lies
Rain drops fall from heaven

Every time it rains i stare to the clouds
Rain drops fall from heaven
Hoping one day she will simply fall
Rain drops fall from heaven

Right into my arms where she belongs
Rain drops fall from heaven
So that i can sing her a song
Rain drops fall from heaven

A song that tells her how i feel
Rain drops fall from heaven
A song that is nothing but real
Rain drops fall from heaven

That will be the day that will bring me joy
Rain drops fall from heaven
Too bad it wont happen to this boy
Rain drops fall from my eyes 24/7

Yarn

Swift spinning wheel revolves within,
revel keyed to rainbow bright,
now wing weft warps, now weaves from sight,
enters, leaves as senses spin.
What is end when things begin
from finish, swing new day from night,
wind sings chains free, both slack and tight,
yet what is joy without chagrin?

What is sense, what static din?
Some wavelengths ultraviolet light
funnel, infra-red some, - sight
depends more on expected whim
than on the rods and cones within
retinal lining - photons’ rite
when redefined as ‘wrong’ or ‘right’,
pre-expectations underpin.

Neurons nitroglycerin
polychromatic dynamite,
synaptic leaps reject rein tight
upon emotions sybilline.
Cyclone eye churns Yang and Yin
while wings gain height wild winds unite,
tension rises, satellite
impressions signal ‘hurry…kin’.

Romantic sings life’s violin
which time-tunes runes to candlelight
as spirit moth finds wings for flight
beyond beyond to ponder, win
new which from old unfolds, gold tin
transforms as thought, deed, reunite.
Prismatic spirit earns insight, -
rebirth on Earth which knows no sin.

Cupid’s arrows javelin
enchantment meant to expedite
attachment which through thick and thin
encouraged is by Aphrodite
who web casts while forecasting him
and her stay playful, - wayward bite
love, urchin, leaves on cheek and chin,
rewards self-righteous with their plight.

Oppositions melt then twin -
Spring springs from Winter, day from night, -
as symbiotic parasite
[r]evolves around a second skin
dissolves again to re-begin
to redivide as surface tight
an oscillation patterned quite,
wizard which might make Merlin.

Theme’s variations, schemes akin,
vibrate, surge, splurge, converge, invite,
emerge to soar as karmic kite
flies options fresh, meets challenge in
tempo gamma-globulin
produces rendering airtight,
immune from falsehood, empty [w]rite,
spins masculine from feminine.

Wings breast test air where streams within
streams conscious dream unconscious write -
how best to tint, imprint, excite,
imagination. Catherine
wheels pyrotechnic paladin
pinpoints - firefly infinite -
fractal patterns which recite
kaleidoscopic origins.

Whirlpool waves through thick and thin
can colour Chance, once left, to right
all former spectrum oversight,
advance as if from trampoline
they sprung to string joy’s mandolin
combining hues which spring from white,
effervescence tints spotlight,
blends gold, bold orange, - out and in

turquoise, yellow, pink, begin
an iridescent dance delight
inspired by sapphire, chrysolite,
red ruby, purple tourmaline,
all save its own achromatin
as alpha-actin appetite
sustaining rhythm’s forward flight
taps into its adrenalin.

All stems from nothing, down turns up,
gain’s drained from spill to fill life's cup.
Yarn's thread is sped, spun patchwork quilt
where wings of light sprung free from guilt.

Future Land

Its a nightmare leading out of the dark
Tears running out of my eyes
Wake up and bring the truth into your life
I cant stand it anymore
All those nightmares - endless despair
Walk away from this dream
Show me the way out of the darkness
Into a land of light
See the world with different eyes
Theres something true in this life
And I start getting closer
Youd better not fall behind
Dont take me to tomorrow
Dont take me to the future land
Dont take me to tomorrow
Dont take me to the future land
And now Ive had enough of this ride
Just let me out of this game
So many reasons to step out and pay
Everyday its the same
No more hiding - deep inside me
The pictures start to be real
Youd better listen to your heartbeat again
I know I wanna be free
See the world with different eyes
Theres something true in this life
And I start getting closer
Youd better not fall behind
Dont take me to tomorrow (oh, no)
Dont take me to the future land (no lying - anymore)
Dont take me to tomorrow(mmmh, I)
Dont wanna see the future land
Dont take me to tomorrow (into the land of light)
Dont take me to the future land
Dont trade your life for sorrow (reach out for the paradise)
Stop longing for the future land
So many feelings deep in your heart
Dont you believe in this dream
So dont hide them deep inside you
Let them out this time, yeah
Dont take me to tomorrow (no lying anymore)
Dont take me to the future land (oh no)
Dont take me to tomorrow (dont take me away)
Dont take me to the future land (without day or night)
Dont trade your life for sorrow (oh no)
Stop longing for the future land (for the land of light)

Wake up and bring the truth into your life

Rain

Here I am, on the lam ready to go
Brighter days have hurried me along, nobody's wrong
Love stays the same a heart's not to blame nothing is over
Now it don't worry me at all there's just got to be
Some kind of overflow nobody falls
People, we cry, when wells go dry it threatens tomorrow
Try and find some ways to ease the fright burn into the night
But maybe a little rain would soothe the pain and drown our sorrows
And looking straight at all that lives again
Until we get our fill of overflows, nobody knows
In search of love, the seasons above have taken to wander
Unlike the ones we used to know, where did they go?
Well, here I am, on the lam, low overflow
Brighter days have hurried me along
To see the rain come shinning through, nobody's blue
Oh seagull, tis an hour of plight
Energy from your wing helps bring the rain
Call on your brotherhood of flight and let it rain all nights
Oh sky lookin clear and bright, Moon, with your own true light
Turn the tides and rain all night, Turn the tides and rain all night
