Chance Interruption Chants Current Version
Think how initial trains of thought
may be derailed from one-track aim
by some coincidence and brought
to change conclusions. Thus the same
words won't be written, inklings caught,
cards drawn, refused, and thus life's game
crests forward causal waves that court
adjusted emphasis, acclaim.
Missed punctuation may abort
sense, pride sap, map ride, conquer shame.
Experiments dismissed, rewrought,
gave penicillin claim to fame.
Confronted with life's puzzle we
prepare discontinuity.
Think how initial chains of thought
may be diverted from first frame,
cue to new wavelengths taut,
intense sensations to proclaim
as apt path once thought peril fraught,
as Cause/Effect combine to tame
priorities before unsought.
Anticipations, altered, claim
ideas, inventions, few had bought
into - unproven, far from plain.
Reviews retool, reschool, distort
conventional wisdom as, at sea,
man turns to new technology.
Think how initial reins of thought
may be unbridled, left free reign
to prosper, fail, find long and short
of questions on whatever plane.
Through history wars mankind fought
have stimulated minds, became
source impetus, core juggernaut
to catalyze creative flame,
find focus, fresh approach some sought,
through varied motives greed for gain,
safe haven offering support,
perch, rebirth, berth search to attain
inner peace, discover key
encouraging serenity.

FRIEND FIEND SHIP
Far past, false future, seem the same
Representing in life's game
Indifference, too hard to tame,
External trappings frame by frame
Now here, now there. Prepare, fair dame,
Death which life swallows, trace of name
Sudden fades. Life's rush-hour train
Heeds none, - pain, fun, - nor sin, nor blame,
Ideals of virtue went and came.
Plastic mirage few retain:
For some short space we stake our claim
In search for perch - yet joy and bane
Exist outside man's plans too lame,
Nor can they last. Life's candle flame?
Dream guttered soon for John and Jane.

Hello Goodbye AP
HELLO GOODBYE A.P.
Has 'Chance' ever sought to undo
Events it engenders, whose aim
Links Cause and Effect, threads into
Life's wonder it treads till Time's claim
Opens onto dark void to ensue -
Goodbye to AP's passing fame!
Has maid caught swain’s thought to braid two
Ever one? What begun with acclaim
Leads to au revoir as all view
Lifted hand for departure, proclaim
Once need not be forever - 'tis true.
'Goodbye to AP! ' calls her name!
Has the rainbow bewitched him? Arched cue
Energizing emotions which flame
Like love's blaze to amaze through and through,
Light waves, soaring, stay never the same,
Ochre, green, turn, deep scarlet, bright blue.
Goodbye to AP features game!
His soul-song soft-strong would pursue
Elsewhere echoes profound, to our shame,
Laughter twinning Yin, Yang, spinning through
Lasting memories all should reframe,
Opportunities none should subdue.
Goodbye to AP she'd exclaim!
Heart explores other skies bright and blue,
Eliminates obstacles lame,
Like a spark which the dark lit - it knew
Lately motivations none may tame.
Overdue, old page turns towards new,
Goodbye to AP's rhyming flame!
Hence! calls finger, don’t linger, renew
Emotions whose motions enflame,
Late seems better than never to brew
Leaving potion, heed siren's refrain
Options nascent foreseen in its train:
Goodbye APing crew and Adieu!

Silent Eloquence for M lady Dee Daffodil
They say dead men do not tell tales.
This once was true but not today
Forensic science rarely fails.
Technology has shown the way.
We re-examine evidence
long thought to be of little use.
Our scrutiny is so intense,
that criminals are bound to lose.
Although they think they’re free and clear.
No one can tie them to their crime,
we’re dogged and we persevere.
We do not rush, we take our time.
Some criminals who still walk free
will soon discover that we can
prove their guilt indisputably.
In variably we get our man.
We have the latest gadgetry
we can recover D.N.A
from tiny fragments easily.
Eventually then you will pay.
The full price for your evil deed
although you think you’ve got away.
We will persist til we succeed.
We’re on your track and there we’ll stay.
We’ll forge a chain of evidence
that proves your guilt beyond all doubt
Then you will pay for your offence.
As in due course you will find out.
When you are brought before the court
No doubt you will plead not guilty.
You aren’t as clever as you thought.
You thought you’d got away Scott free.
Although Dame Justice may be blind.
She is prepared to listen to
any evidence we can find.
That pins the blame squarely on you..
Dead men can speak eloquently
and do when we investigate
assisted by technology
You can’t escape it is too late.

Please Be Quiet
He spoke and spoke so many words
and she just silently thought.
He had an opinion on everything.
She listened and then she sought
silence again, just said Amen
to all those words he said,
Soon thoughts came to her head.
She thought about life.
She thought about love.
She thought about
all he was speaking of.
She thought about nights
where silence prevailed.
She thought about days
where the speaking assailed
her ears.
She'd been thinking and thinking
for too many years.
The quietness was peaceful
but now brought her to tears.
For she missed the sound
of all his words.
She missed everything he said.
He was gone and all was quiet
for all his words were dead.
The thoughts were still there.
The words were not.
And what was it he said?
She forgot.

Lost for Words
LOST FOR WORDS
The art of writing's such a sport
with styles of every kind and sort
that not to try would be a tort.
Synaptic leaps can keep, support,
ideas which interlink, report
mind melodies naught need contort
as eyes observant insight court:
imagination is my forte - right!
As interlocking lines of thought
are threaded neatly, tautly brought
to heel, reined in, discreetly taught
to underscore ideas, here’s sought
communication vectors caught
in lightning thought wave flashes short,
coherent, to the point! ... Now ought
I not recall the subject about which I meant to write?

I Never Thought Of This Poem
I never thought of this poem
It strolled into me, vividly
Forcing and obliging me
It urged me on despite resistance
I never thought of this poem
I never thought of this poem
It possessed and subdued me
It never left me alone, in peace
I could no longer resist its force
I never thought of this poem
I never thought of this poem
I gave in to it, to its wishes
I wrote it, I read it
It came out of me, liberating me
I never thought of this poem!

Let Our Love Be As It Ought (Villanelle)
Let our love be as it ought
while you are true to me,
with something special in every thought
as something valuable that we have brought
that goes much further than just charity.
Let our love be as it ought
simple, sincere as if its joy cannot be bought
as it is present with us daily
with something special in every thought
that comes by itself out of the blue unsought
as a gift from the divine without iniquity.
Let our love be as it ought
like a pool of cool water in the drought,
that more than quenches and sets the spirit free
with something special in every thought
as if we found something we have constantly sought,
in the way that by God it is set to be.
Let our love be as it ought
with something special in every thought.

Thoughts
Mind is pre occupied with thought
No win even after battles fought,
No results even after lessons taught,
No peace despite comforts bought,
Is that we have gone so much insane,
Our prestige at low and efforts in vane,
Roads all clear and deserted lane,
Sky too calm but only noise of plane,
Nothing will improve or find change,
Look even shabby even you arrange,
Does not require outward finish,
It is sign of doom’s day and perishes,
Reforms in thoughts and sincere action,
Will bring all change without any question,
World at large will have joy and benefit,
Simple thought and no brake or limit,
What I am searching in selfish world,
What I look around and develop feet cold,
Do I lack vision or ideas bold?
Do I stand on slippery land and not properly hold?
It is senseless thought war only in mind,
Never parallel in history you find,
Mind vicious and no place for views kind,
All ready to give you push from behind,
Who should I trust and whom to avoid?
Find no excuse or reason solid,
Will have to use mind and common sense,
Must leave behind thoughts and tense,
I failed to distinguish what is wrong or right,
Unnecessary quarrel and useless fight,
Peace will elude and goal not in sight,
Will emerge end of tunnel with bright light

Claim To Fame
What gives you this crazy thought
That you can talk to my woman
Whats your claim to fame
What gives you half a mind
To even think her name
Whats your claim to fame?
Whats your name?
Gonna give you just one more chance
To make amends to my woman
You got yourself to blame
Only thing thats left to do
Is to think real hard about what youre gonna do
About your crazy game
Whats your name?
Whats your name?
Who the hell do you think you are?
Whats your game?
Are you some top of the pops star?
What gives you this crazy thought
That you think you can talk to my woman
Whats your claim to fame?
What gives you half a mind
To even think her name
Whats your claim to fame?

Rondo Mirror
When tidal waves of Time mock Fame,
have waved goodbye to humankind,
what which remains may, deep in rime,
deep-frozen stay until Change find
strange species with an unknown name,
whose mores no human finds sublime,
set out, new universes tame.
Alternative galactic clime
through nova warming – fun to blame -
could broil life first, then through enzyme
bacterial pride's self-acclaim
convert to carbon, methane, slime,
a vision choice, or hell-fire flame
devour the oddest pantomime
star systems witnessed, ‘sense’ proclaim.
A strange physique, another mind,
may race, chase universal prime,
act out perceived need, trace seed chain,
from ocean brine could start the grind
of evolution once again.
Survival’s rules and Nature’s game,
to change stay subject, rise or wane
as specificities within
a given eco-system kin
divide from kith through chance dance train
which tunnels out where Time once in
might delve and dig in search as sane
for A to B too toxic must remain.
'Above', 'Below' are judgements vain,
when all's one, one all must contain.
There seems no reason to explain
that rigid rules in one place gain
no standing elsewhere - truth's refrain
sounds normal here, there cries 'refrain! '
Life's laws, whatever form or frame,
appear designed to change sustain:
tenacity's successful climb
prepares ambitions which may bind
transient sentience to time -
tied to tide system whence it came.
The wheel turns, yet things much the same
remain as ever, as the blind
and seething masses, biding time,
exploited still, will try to find
answers until fresh tidal time-frame
mocks race, trace, shocks, restocks again...
Oscillating waves of Time,
wave goodbye, scarce seek behind
veil past - ancestors maritime -
and future for wings redesigned
by evolution's coded aim,
from start to coda, which no dime
could care for causal counterclaim.
From chaos patterns recombine,
an intricate design begin,
here where, there, others ended in
ice, fire, fire, ice, hope aim, scope maim,
some may celestial choir proclaim
as evidence of super brain.
Equality may some acclaim
as proof superior, maintain
win leads to loss, as loss to win
its opposite must undermine
to complement wheel waiting game
that sooner, later, Chronos will unwind.
Alternative galactic clime
through dwarf–star cooling frieze quitclaim
could freeze life first, then life-clock chime
again, again, from wild to tame,
from tame to wild as cyclic mime
vibrates, expands, contracts, the same
remaining never, - pantomime
played out repeating rondo spin
exploring waft weave out and in...

A school life
The weather can be totally unpredictable
The human tendency like it is not at all acceptable
The rain is our main source of inspiration
We welcome it in its complete duration
There is tremendous change with the arrival of season
Initial days are quite enjoyed with good reasons
The children too like their initial school days
The parent to find good hope with rays
The school transform the character of child
They learn the basic elements and remain mild
They have innocence but do not act as fool
They learn a lot so long as they remain in school
It is lot more to gain and act
This is most unforgettable fact
It is always remembered in spare days
As it has taught us in many ways
There is enough time to focus on future
The last year shapes destiny and makes it sure
The time is approaching near to give farewell
Everybody is in fine mood to remember it well
The last moments are full of joy
They make it memorable and enjoy
The time and tide waits for none
The saying is well remembered by everyone
The school days are not forever
It has brief spell but to be spent there however
The long association makes them little upset
But the day for for departure is already set
It is natural to feel pain in separation
Everybody become so much emotional
So many incidences emerge in memory lane
As they have decided to leave the school by bus or plane
It may be altogether new experience
Now they have responsibility and enough sense
They may remain busy after leaving the busy life
The teacher has always remained them about edge of knife
They are needing good advice and direction
Whole future depends upon their action
The school platform has limited role
They may have to adjust with different poles
As the days are nearing to depart
They slowly gather to celebrate it in part
They may freely move and try to find
They will be out soon for the new world to find
It may be worrying them a lot
They fear fear and would not want to be caught
The life has become full of ups and down
Now they have to share the burden and own
Time may come soon to be separated
It will become past to be only related
It will remain as lost memory in one corner
They part of new life later or sooner
The path lay wide open to march
No one may lead you with torch
You were ably guided here by teacher
There you will be with respectable sirs

Frustrated Ambition.
Frustrated ambition.
I can remember vividly
The first person that I chose to kill.
Although selected randomly.
It somehow made me feel fulfilled.
No longer a non entity.
Overlooked by everyone.
It proved my capability
To make my name and be someone.
I thought about it constantly.
I knew that I must kill again
I felt a growing certainty
my only thought was to regain.
The rush of the adrenaline
The sense of power which it brought.
As if the whole wide world was mine.
That was the feeling which I sought.
Though when my second victim died
My pleasure was not so intense
and I was left unsatisfied
Which did not seem to make much sense.
When I killed victim number three
There was no rushed adrenaline.
Which only served to convince me
That killing had become routine.
I had not yet achieved my aim.
Although killing had lost its thrill.
The only way I would gain fame
Was by continuing to kill.
I will defy the threatened rain
To add another to my score
Tonight I mean to kill again
and claim my victim number four.
Though others have killed many more
To earn their place in history.
I aim to beat the highest score.
I’m sure I will eventually.
Because I’ve only just begun
I study the case histories.
Familiar with everyone
I find that this inspires me.
To choose my victims carefully
and not at random as before
and change my M.O frequently
Whilst I am racking up my score.
Six years have passed my final score
I don’t believe can be surpassed.
by anyone who’s gone before.
Perhaps the time has come at last
For me to claim the fame that’s due.
Because I have successfully
Achieved what I set out to do.
By confessing publically.
The best laid plans can go awry.
The powers that be were satisfied
My story was a fantasy.
And so they had me certified.
No access to publicity
I never got the chance to boast.
Perhaps a fitting penalty
Organised by a vengeful ghost.
They keep me safely locked away
With no access to the outside.
Though I am certain that one day
All my claims will be verified.
Some one will find my record book
Containing records of my kills.
But when I tell them where to look
They do not listen: no one will.

Thought
Thought, I love thought.
But not the juggling and twisting of already existent ideas
I despise that self-important game.
Thought is the welling up of unknown life into consciousness,
Thought is the testing of statements on the touchstone of consciousness,
Thought is gazing onto the face of life, and reading what can be read,
Thought is pondering over experience, and coming to conclusion.
Thought is not a trick, or an exercise, or a set of dodges,
Thought is a man in his wholeness, wholly attending.

Centred experimental form
Centred
The silence of the night profound.
Unbroken by the slightest sound.
Envelopes me.
Serenity envelopes me
From earthly worries I am free
Just for a while.
I can enjoy just for a while
a complete change from my life style.
No need to rush.
I am content no need to rush.
Sit quietly amidst the hush.
I still my mind.
Effortlessly I still my mind
and meditate until I find
my inner core.
When I have reached my inner core
I need not struggle any more.
I am at peace.
I realise I am at peace
when all my errant thought trains cease.
I can just be.
I understand I can just be
if only temporarily.
Then I must go.
An hour or two then I must go
back to the noisy world I know.
Reluctantly.
Surrendering reluctantly
the only time that I am free
to be just me.

The Thought I Cannot Complete
The thought I cannot complete,
This is the thought I cannot complete,
The thought of the life I lead,
The thought of the wonderful world I live in.
Thinking am I worth living in this precious world which we destroy for our survival,
Are we born to rule on this earth or are we born to serve on this earth.
Are we born to control the nature we cannot conserve, is this really the free world they claim to be, are we yet understanding the meaning of life.
This is the thought I cannot complete,
They say the brain is intellectual yet others believe money is power and so we claim to live in the free world we cannot afford.
I used to think religion is an individual belief though now I got caught in the world where i'm forced to believe even the fabricate religion yet I stand none credulous.
Does resurrection exist nor heaven and hell we told we will reach according to our good and evil deeds, or will I perish so the young soul shall be born,
This are the thoughts I cannot complete.

Without a Hint of Wisdom
Caught up in the 'what ifs' and 'whys'.
And not seeing eye to eye with a reality
That has longed called for their attention!
No one wants to mention that.
They would rather play cat and mouse games.
And play tag with an upcoming disaster!
This will be their glory!
And their claim to fame.
This they play...
Is the ignorant game,
Played their way!
Caught up in the 'what ifs' and 'whys',
Have been those who chose to lie all their lives.
Storytelling their way to prescribed drugs!
And many find them pleasant to be around.
It then becomes no secret kept as to 'why'.
This they play...
Is the ignorant game,
Played their way!
When they are seen caught up,
In the 'what ifs and 'whys' of life.
It becomes clearly understood without question,
They have been detached much longer...
Than they were thought to be deranged!
And 'this' those who know,
Have found attractive to show...
As a destination.
To astound the nonbelievers!
This they play...
Is the ignorant game,
Played their way!
For lives that stay tricked,
Without a hint of wisdom...
Exiting from their lips!

Two Fortune Tellers Said
When Vera and I first met,
a second marriage
was the last thing on her mind.
Her first husband had not long run off
with a fourteen year old
and left this world in a suicide pact.
Some years earlier,
a Fortuneteller had told her
she would never end her days with him.
She would meet a tall dark person
sooner than she thought.
She shrugged off the suggestion,
as she never wanted to marry again.
With a failed marriage
that only brought her grief.
She was not going to take the chance again.
Once was enough.
She could never trust
anyone again.
Years earlier in my life
a Fortuneteller told me
I would settle down
with someone with the initial D.
My way of thinking that was a Christian name
like Dorothy or Diane,
but not a surname.
When her husband died
being a friend I attended his funeral,
never dreaming that one day
his widow would
eventually become my wife.
After all her name began
with a V and not a D.
Then a group of his friends
met one night in a coffee bar.
Someone suggested one of us
take her out for an evening.
As there were no takers,
so I volunteered.
However, I joke about it now.
We went out together
time and time again.
When I asked her to marry me,
she wasn’t really sure.
Memories of her previous marriage
kept plaguing her,
but eventually she said yes.
After we were married,
she could not totally trust.
Even though she was reassured
that I was not like her first husband
and wouldn’t cheat on her.
That I wasn’t like that.
Almost two years passed
before trust slowly returned.
It was then she realised
that I was the one
the Fortuneteller had told her about.
You cannot get much taller than six foot three.
As for me and the initial D.
Vera’s married surname
began with the initial D.
Here we are through troubles thick and thin
fast approaching
our 38th Wedding Anniversary.
We’ve hardly been parted
within those years.
Not because of distrust,
but because of love.
We get lonely
whenever we are apart.
Now as for fortune-tellers,
I’m not sure what to believe.
It would seem a coincidence
that two different people
would predict our lives together.
This is true and I wonder
was it just a lucky guess,
or is there more to it.
I’ll let you decide.
