Aura of Felicity

He meets by chance he’ll ever bless
a maiden, and some hidden hand
unveils an inner loveliness
too few take time to understand.
Time stands stock still, clock can't progress,
as second sight's embracing strand
second-thoughts disbands - caress
sends shivers through pores which expand.

His promise, through her presence, grows
to match the merits in her eyes,
to blushing envy turns flush rose
acknowledging true Paradise.
They flow together, former woes -
in ways no verse may summarize -
replaced by links no blinds can close
metamorphosis supplies.

Thought trains awake dreams skeins asleep,
her aura haunts him day and night,
one image still will senses sweep
with wonder, worship, and delight.
Warm aura rippling, rich and deep,
excites, incites to more insight,
love's neurones bridge synaptic leap
like salmon fording stream, scales bright.

Drawn by strong dreams nightlong he longs –
most humble where he most aspires –
to offer sacred, secret songs
to her he honours and desires
where 'we belong' may know no wrongs,
all echoes joy's celestial choirs,
where happiness itself prolongs,
no guarantees, no pleas requires.

Her graces make him rich. He’d ask
no golden ring engraven while
he may not prove himself to task
the equal of that precious smile.
Meanwhile would pleasure find and bask
in soft reflection, reconcile
hopes, fears, fears, hopes, and, shedding mask,
beguiled by feelings versatile.

He aims to catch flame's eye, perform
some labour, famed reward immense,
anticipates ways to transform
bright bloom in new-born innocence
to future shared, trust crystal clear.
Hope holds key to true happiness.
He trembles, mixing joy and fear,
would stand beside her, nothing less...

Light Strikes - 0384

Light strikes, by chance, one must confess,
A damsel, and some hidden hand
Unveils a latent loveliness
Revealed: emotions understand.
Enlightenment all floods, and grows,
Now matches merits in all eyes,
Crimson blushing turns the rose,
Envying lost Paradise.

And she who's key to happiness,
Life's flower, fairest in the land,
Is strong beside her and we guess
Can grow as straight, - joy by joy fanned
Encircles both, needs no disguise.

Lord! When she smiles he's rich, won't ask
A golden ring engraven while
Unable to prove to the task
Responsive, equal to the trial.
Eyes sapphire lit he catches to
Name some labour, share some sense,
Creating with her something new
Extending mutual confidence.

And by her side, still hand in hand,
Lost in inner reverie,
Is true reflection who Time's sand
Can't halt because Eternity
Exists for all her smile have scanned.

Lost! For, for HER, he cannot sleep,
As soft voice haunts throughout the night,
Unman's his heart, his senses sweep,
Real charm to worship with delight.
Entranced, both day and night he longs,
New humble where he most aspires,
Creating these acrostic songs,
Expectant dreams on deep desires.

A smile beside her complements
Life's picture, growing fine and fair,
In joyful playfulness, - no care
Can alter Nature's gifts and scents,
Enchanting all the elements.

Life until now has timed away
Avoiding naught, yet finding peace
Unduly difficult, yet may
Respond discovering release
Exchanging glances as souls meet
Never to separate again,
Chance encounter? Time may greet
Experience which will not wane.

And by her side evolving elf
Listens, learns, and longs to be
Identified as in herself
Complete, responsive, harmony
Expressing authenticity.

Seven Days

She was so young and so afraid
Of a world she could not understand
For seven days I held her close
Like a child in the palm of my hand
There were
Seven tears
To wipe away
Seven fears
To keep at bay
Seven words
For me to say
In seven days
The strands of wisdom twist and curl
Soft flame in the warmth of my heart
Oh essential words that lightly fall
Like snow thru the mist of her thought
The gentle rain of innocence
That flows from her ebony eyes
Another secret moment shared
To be part of the rest of our lives
There were
Seven dreams
To live for real
Seven streams
Of hope revealed
Seven ways
Of love to feel
In seven days
We are the only ones who know
Her smile was poetry
Her soul she showed it to me
The dawning of the seventh day
Saw her shine like the radiant skies
I knew that she would leave me then
Bright hope in her ebony eyes
(and now) I watch her dance before the world
Soft flame in the movements she makes
And all those secret moments shared
Stay warm in my thoughts everyday
Remembering
Seven tears
Wiped away
Seven fears
Kept at bay
Seven words
You heard me say
Seven dreams
To live and play
Seven streams
Of hope revealed
Seven waves
Of love we feel
Seven days
Memory of seven days

Providential Piece

Song of my soul, soul of song,
long to belong to true beau,
strong where most, weak, string along,
short to wrong conquer and, oh!

Hope for new scope, scope for hope,
never a bye line to toe,
rope with no strings, wings which cope
with winds of change strange, far range, so
dawn of my dawn she became,
fame of shared flame through time's flow,
drawn thorn as newborn glows game's aim,
name of my name who'll rhymes sow.

Bride to abide through the years,
tears clears, cheers as fearful fears go,
far and wide side by side soon appears
for hope nears when heart steers Cupid's bow.

Light of my light shines fair muse
whose views offer cues to bestow
bright blessings no wight could confuse,
clues choose to ignore or loose, glow
fires faith which aspires through tuned lyre
to translate runes ballooning to show
desires which inspire more desire,
enthuse, offer boon zephyr blow.

Waft of my weave I believe
receiving achieves to and fro
unsparing free sharing, two cleave
to each other, discover plateau
untouched and unsmutched for none grieve,
minds leave much behind more to know,
much more as two cores interleave
than first found as obbligato.

Flight through insight to delight
metamorphosis few undergo,
bright star once afar turning night
into day which all pray apropos.

HEART which HE ARTfully writes,
SHE ALl HEALS to unseal joy's chateau,
rite rightfully cited incites
an urge to merge, surge, long ago
foreseen to be queen, reconcile
surface smile with sacred undertow,
rile, bile, soothing to guileless beguile
while sentiments soft overflow.

Find mind behind features sublime
refusing narrow status quo
refusing to mime p[h]antomime,
all acknowledge respect none forego.

Links my pen inks trace their source,
course, and force, as above and below
in story on[e] glory discourse,
never coarse, no remorse ever know.
Dawn of my dawn she'll remain,
never wane, prove joys vain - sun and snow
come and go, she alone, once again
it is plain, easing pain, wards off woe.

Providential piece could reel out
more praise to the envy of time,
but you, reader, must out and about,
go in peace, we'll release you from rhyme.

Plateau - 1864

Could ever Eden's garden bright
be sacrificed to futile fight
when teeming dreams continue to
rhyme sunshine beams to future true?
Illusion may prove idyll blessed
by horse and carriage marriage dressed
where night is day and day through night
prolongs shared happiness' delight.

No way is truly lost, no flight
from fancy to fact fiction's blight,
no bark, no bite, and no denial,
no cruelty, one-sided trial,
no tarnish - wishing star at best
for future stars at love's behest.
No carelessness, for true insight
distinguishes 'twixt wrong and right.

Shared memories spell magic quite
enheartening, self-sustaining, might
dissolve fears with alacrity
show there's no cause - fatality
lies outside shared experience,
while slow decline at soul's expense
is out of court. Love must be right
must sweep suspicion out of sight.

Best is a plateau pearly white,
envelops life in peerless light,
If you discover - much ado -
I'm not the one, to self stay true,
let old affection guarantee
that love despises locks - float free,
and through that freedom find despite
doubts past, at last innate birthright.

Hieroglyphic Beguile Meant

HIEROGLYPHIC BEGUILE...MEANT

I sought inspiring way to play “beguile”
blood's flood rush-blushing flush, then hibernate,
lush, hid ‘mid hieroglyphics of soft smile.
It dawned that very few can reconcile
emotions' brakes while breaking conscious state,
to draw more definitions for “beguile”.
Most, blind behind closed minds, can’t conjugate
dimensions manifold, unfold, translate,
decypher hieroglyphics of soft smile.

It takes so many lifetimes to compile
right signals light, bright eyes communicate
decoding definitions for “beguile”
into word worlds both varied, versatile,
deep, difficult to truly contemplate -
expanding hieroglyphics of soft smile.
Content observing content, context, style,
expressive inner eyes deliberate,
a worthwhile definition for “beguile”,
hidden in hieroglyphics of soft smile.

There are two definitions for “beguile”
one shares, one snares love, fair disguising hate -
what’s truth mid hieroglyphics of Your smile?
What if snare scare replaced rare care to dial
confusion more than loving fusion’s state,
refusal, ersatz aura ringed by rile?
What if those hieroglyphics hid heart vile,
whose slyness surface smiles would compensate
with blushing rushes should “beguile” prove guile.

What would remain of love’s fair sceptered isle?
Who could clear conscience e’er exonerate
from name of blame whose fame would flame defile,
mark Lethe dark, where no stark hopes beguile
lost soul, shade forfeit, damned, banned, intestate
parody pornographic, mercantile.

True torment, false beguilement takes to trial,
ensures despair, bare cell disconsolate,
Cupid's gilt arrows dipped in venom vile -
envy, greed, to feed perversions' weight
with appetites that needs exaggerate,
deform, intentions turned from narrow, straight,
to swift descent from paradise exile,
sharp fall before dupe hieroglyphic smile! ...

Yet trust MUST win the way to reconcile
both scope and hope with love emancipate –
there lies no lies, true rune tune of soft smile.
Then strife of daily life would prove worthwhile
spell doubt dispels, none underestimate
beguilement hieroglyphic of soft smile
when motivated by no ego's wile,
integrity as emblem steers love's ship of state.

Which sense should tale gasp ending prehensile,
grasp content, context, semi-formal style,
what meanings through synaptic condensate?
Effective definition for “beguile”,
thought sought through hieroglyphics of soft smile
far from brash crowds, cash conscious, rash, who rate
worth on this earth as status, alternate
between truth, false, fact, fiction, lacking style.

Meanwhile, excitement rises as rhymes close,
beguilement through poetic prose shows, flows.

400 ~ Bloom

Just begins to bud,
a rose,
holding hopes and fears
behind
black-red, velvet-soft petals.

Startled by a bright, new world,
it opens,
revealing petals of humility.
Blushing, growing,
opening as it becomes
accustomed
to beauty in light.

Proud color spreads wide across,
full bloom,
not as dark as at first,
glowing
from light that has filled it.

This rose can never die.
As love,
It can lose color, wilt, fade,
but in the mind,
the rose
will forever be in bright, full bloom.

This rose stands a symbol,
to time.
What has occurred to arrive at
now?
All the bloomings have led to one bright bloom,
this rose.

As someone has made me bloom,
she is
beauty and
light. Changing
my colors, releasing
my fears,
I owe her much, love
will never die, like
the glowing bloom of this,
a rose.

The Angel In The House. Book I. Canto III.

Preludes

I The Lover
He meets, by heavenly chance express,
The destined maid; some hidden hand
Unveils to him that loveliness
Which others cannot understand.
His merits in her presence grow,
To match the promise in her eyes,
And round her happy footsteps blow
The authentic airs of Paradise.
For joy of her he cannot sleep;
Her beauty haunts him all the night;
It melts his heart, it makes him weep
For wonder, worship, and delight.
O, paradox of love, he longs,
Most humble when he most aspires,
To suffer scorn and cruel wrongs
From her he honours and desires.
Her graces make him rich, and ask
No guerdon; this imperial style
Affronts him; he disdains to bask,
The pensioner of her priceless smile.
He prays for some hard thing to do,
Some work of fame and labour immense,
To stretch the languid bulk and thew
Of love's fresh-born magnipotence.
No smallest boon were bought too dear,
Though barter'd for his love-sick life;
Yet trusts he, with undaunted cheer,
To vanquish heaven, and call her Wife.
He notes how queens of sweetness still
Neglect their crowns, and stoop to mate;
How, self-consign'd with lavish will,
They ask but love proportionate;
How swift pursuit by small degrees,
Love's tactic, works like miracle;
How valour, clothed in courtesies,
Brings down the haughtiest citadel;
And therefore, though he merits not
To kiss the braid upon her skirt,
His hope, discouraged ne'er a jot,
Out-soars all possible desert.

II Love a Virtue
Strong passions mean weak will, and he
Who truly knows the strength and bliss
Which are in love, will own with me
No passion but a virtue 'tis.
Few hear my word; it soars above
The subtlest senses of the swarm
Of wretched things which know not love,
Their Psyche still a wingless worm.
Ice-cold seems heaven's noble glow
To spirits whose vital heat is hell;
And to corrupt hearts even so
The songs I sing, the tale I tell.
These cannot see the robes of white
In which I sing of love. Alack,
But darkness shows in heavenly light,
Though whiteness, in the dark, is black!

III Unthrift
Ah, wasteful woman, she who may
On her sweet self set her own price,
Knowing man cannot choose but pay,
How has she cheapen'd paradise;
How given for nought her priceless gift,
How spoil'd the bread and spill'd the wine,
Which, spent with due, respective thrift,
Had made brutes men, and men divine.

IV The Attainment
You love? That's high as you shall go;
For 'tis as true as Gospel text,
Not noble then is never so,
Either in this world or the next.

Honoria.

I
Grown weary with a week's exile
From those fair friends, I rode to see
The church-restorings; lounged awhile,
And met the Dean; was ask'd to tea,
And found their cousin, Frederick Graham,
At Honor's side. Was I concern'd,
If, when she sang, his colour came,
That mine, as with a buffet, burn'd?
A man to please a girl! thought I,
Retorting his forced smiles, the shrouds
Of wrath, so hid as she was by,
Sweet moon between her lighted clouds!

II
Whether this Cousin was the cause
I know not, but I seem'd to see,
The first time then, how fair she was,
How much the fairest of the three.
Each stopp'd to let the other go;
But, time-bound, he arose the first.
Stay'd he in Sarum long? If so
I hoped to see him at the Hurst.
No: he had call'd here, on his way
To Portsmouth, where the ‘Arrogant,’
His ship, was; he should leave next day,
For two years' cruise in the Levant.

II
Had love in her yet struck its germs?
I watch'd. Her farewell show'd me plain
She loved, on the majestic terms
That she should not be loved again.
And so her cousin, parting, felt.
Hope in his voice and eye was dead.
Compassion did my malice melt;
Then went I home to a restless bed.
I, who admired her too, could see
His infinite remorse at this
Great mystery, that she should be
So beautiful, yet not be his,
And, pitying, long'd to plead his part;
But scarce could tell, so strange my whim,
Whether the weight upon my heart
Was sorrow for myself or him.

IV
She was all mildness; yet 'twas writ
In all her grace, most legibly,
‘He that's for heaven itself unfit,
‘Let him not hope to merit me.’
And such a challenge, quite apart
From thoughts of love, humbled, and thus
To sweet repentance moved my heart,
And made me more magnanimous,
And led me to review my life,
Inquiring where in aught the least,
If question were of her for wife,
Ill might be mended, hope increas'd.
Not that I soar'd so far above
Myself, as this great hope to dare;
And yet I well foresaw that love
Might hope where reason must despair;
And, half-resenting the sweet pride
Which would not ask me to admire,
‘Oh,’ to my secret heart I sigh'd,
‘That I were worthy to desire!’

V
As drowsiness my brain reliev'd,
A shrill defiance of all to arms,
Shriek'd by the stable-cock, receiv'd
An angry answer from three farms.
And, then, I dream'd that I, her knight,
A clarion's haughty pathos heard,
And rode securely to the fight,
Cased in the scarf she had conferr'd;
And there, the bristling lists behind,
Saw many, and vanquish'd all I saw
Of her unnumber'd cousin-kind,
In Navy, Army, Church, and Law;
Smitten, the warriors somehow turn'd
To Sarum choristers, whose song,
Mix'd with celestial sorrow, yearn'd
With joy no memory can prolong;
And phantasms as absurd and sweet
Merged each in each in endless chace,
And everywhere I seem'd to meet
The haunting fairness of her face.

Love in all its Glory

Within the petals of the rose
Captured in the fragrance of the orchid
Nurtured by the holy water of love
Drenched in the sunlight of your being
My love is kept safe in the woman
That is you

Within your eyes there is a flame
Born of passion, fuelled by a sacred trust
A woman beyond Michael Angelo’s imagination
Beyond the dreams of first love.

Your face worthy of every love poem ever written
With a smile that my dreams can,
Play over and over again in a world,
That only you and I know

Where we can walk, hand in hand
Through dreams that have not yet spoken
Down paths where our emotions merge
Where two hearts beat as one
In this glorious thing we call love

Here our souls can lay down together
Away from this troubled world
To make love, for angels to envy
Where your kisses heal the man that is me
To bring me back from the abyss

To see the sunrise through your eyes
Hand in hand with my one true love
And when we are three
I pray that our child will grow
To find love and happiness
Just like you and me

Sundog Cataract

What seems sundog high by spry cataract
deserves a deeper look. Another light
reveals imagination's flow intact
Speed current echoes time's trip, clouds take flight
Waterfalls with dreams may interact
catalyze sense streams to spring insight
stimulate synaptic leaps spray backed
enhancing surf spill spells, responses bright
show space where cataract wraith-wracked
blinded with self-denial dark. Winged white
eddies fantastic, swirl-whirl, fears backtracked
ring confidence to share, bring twinned delight
Time riffles rift, strange spume fast sprays, gifts room
Rhyme ripples swift, change dooms past's plays, lifts gloom

Catalyzes stream sense, springs insight.
One's neverneverland? Blend nuance backed?
Revealed enchantment spills surf's answers bright
Revealing zones where mist before seemed wracked
In doubt and self-denial. Surf's wings white,
Eddies fantastical, swirl-whirl fears backtracked,
Ripple confidence, key shared delight.
Answers riffle home, fresh foam may flow
Splicing known once sown with what tomorrows show

Bridge over Troubled Waters - Acrostic Sonnet

Bridge of colours spans the years
Responding to shared tune on cue
In light and laughter keys into
Dreams' hopes for scope. Grey disappears.
Glow grows, tomorrows free from fears
Extend through unveiled planes that few
Or none else know. Constraints melt too!
Voyage duet hearts' wonder hears,
Echoes return to welcome ears
Responding with joy overdue.
TROUbadour threads song sincere,
BLED heart's quite healed, bright crystal clear.
WAs wait worthwhile? Touchée? Emue?
TERSe verse here ends with thoughts of you.

From Cataract to Enhanced Perceptions through Cataract

May what to some sunset on cataract
Appears at first sight, seen in other light
Unveils anticipation not the act -
Draws sunrise, current's flow, woe's clouds in flight.
Each waterfall dreams stimulates, intact
Catalyzes stream sense, springs insight.
One's neverneverland? Blend nuance backed?
Revealed enchantment spills surf's answers bright
Revealing zones where mist before seemed wracked

Sundog Cataract

What seems sundog high by spry cataract
deserves a deeper look. Another light
reveals imagination's flow intact.
Speed current echoes time's trip, clouds take flight.
Waterfalls with dreams may interact,
catalyze sense streams to spring insight,
stimulate synaptic leaps spray backed,
enhancing surf spill spells, responses bright,
show space where cataract wraith-wracked
blinded with self-denial dark. Winged white
eddies fantastic, swirl-whirl, fears backtracked,
ring confidence to share, bring twinned delight.
Time riffles rift, strange spume fast sprays, gifts room,
Rhyme ripples swift, change dooms past's plays, lifts gloom.

Are You Really a True Romantic?

I wonder, where have all the True Romantics gone? ... there are, but few
still flowering... still spinning dreams, still weaving words of love so true.
For, when l read a book, or watch a movie... perhaps, read a line
or two of poetry... l know that, somewhere in there, l will find
some bitter, shadowy undertone... perhaps, to spice some ailing plot?
True feelings, it may well reflect...
but True Romantic? ...
l think not.

The True Romantic is a gentle soul... a Literary Unicorn,
existing in a Golden Land, from where the sweet, soft dreams are born;
all spun from strands of pure romance... this bright-eyed hope of love, so fair;
no shadows here, to spoil the magic woven from the heart, with care.
The Unicorn is, but a dream... in myth, beyond our sight... far lost;
but, lose the True Romantic... lose the dream;
is this, then worth the cost?

Perhaps, it is that we have wandered from the path, in modern days;
perhaps, it is not now correct... politically, to trace the ways
the great Romantics, down the ages weaved their bright and shining dreams,
yet, there was sadness... there was yearning in their works...
but, now.... it seems
that all emotions... good or bad, must be displayed... the darker side;
the negativity of love... when lost, betrayed...
or just, denied.

So, is this some analysis... some facet of psychology
the author feels a need to show?
for it is not quite poetry,
or writing in the manner of the True Romantic... can't they see
the True Romantic's dream just cannot mix with grim reality?
As different as chalk and cheese; a world apart... a different thing
from the tapestry of dreaming that the True Romantic spins.

It is certain, that this rhyme will ruffle feathers far and wide...
but, the words therein contain the truth... it cannot be denied.
When seeking out the True Romantic's world, so many paths unfold
a promise of this Golden Land; yet seven in ten are dead and cold;
leading nowhere, but, to broken hearts... and sweet dreams, cruelly blighted...
the True Romantics work must leave imaginations
quite delighted.

Perhaps the authors of today, beset by cultural platitudes;
the realists... the avant garde... the modernistic attitudes,
have somehow, lost their bright-eyed innocence...
the touchstone of Romance;
if, this is so; then sad to say... they really do not stand a chance
of ever really dreaming Golden dreams... as True Romantics do...
Will the tiny flame still flicker in the dark?
l do hope so.

Door To My Happiness

You are the only one who holds the key to opening the door to my happiness. Each time you unlock my door, you make me come alive and make one exist in time. One precious turn of a key and you make me feel what it is to be happy and to be at peace with myself. On every level you know how to get to the heart of my happiness. Your unselfish ways to make me loved and understood are sometimes more than I can bear, as I have never known this kind of happiness ever before.

What can I say that will ever let you know how happy you make me feel? What word, which phrase will let you know that without you in my life, I would never know what true happiness could ever be? It is not enough to share this happiness, it has to be cherished with a guilty pleasure.

You bring the best out of me every time you unlock the door to my happiness. Colors swirl about me: bright yellows, greens, and oranges...music and song fill within my heart and soul...knowing you are the only one who can unlock the door to my happiness.

Offspring - 0242 - Current Version of Once

True offspring of pure poet's pen
As unclaimed orphans wait till when
Life's links are stimulated, trace
Each ph[r]ase in roundelay's embrace.
Once catalyzed, and only then,
Find we without tri[s]te mise en scène,
Purity Time can't deface,
A note in tune with Time and Space.
Reality? Hallucinogen?
As senses swirl clock seems suspen.

Drawn in, laid out, both breath and verse,
Impact intense all should rehearse,
Subject of, to, experience?
Echo imagination, sense?
Reflection fair? rhyme? prose perverse?
Epic dramatic, haiku terse?
Flow grows at nobody's expense,
Links old to new with no pretence,
Extending themes, dreams universe
Creative. Centuries traverse
To future from the present tense,
Sustains ideas, ideals immense.

Underwriting bards of old
Pure poetry need ne'er grow cold,
Of course, new meanings may appear,
Need reference points, text should stay clear
Providing into story told
Outstanding insight all behold
Excluding copies insincere
That plagiary posts to pay small beer.
Refusing censor's stranglehold,
Your poet chimes rhymes manifold.

The Eyes Of A Child

(graham russell and ron bloom)
When you look to the past for lifes long hidden meaning
For the dreams and the plans made in your youth
Does the thrill to achieve match the warm hidden feeling
That lies so still and lives in you
In the eyes of a child there is joy, there is laughter
There is hope, there is trust, a chance to shape the future
For the lessons of life there is no better teacher
Than the look in the eyes of a child
Youve found the place to walk the path youve chosen
Youll never miss the world youve left behind
When life gives life, its happiness unbroken
When you give love, its love youll find
In the eyes of a child there is joy, there is laughter
There is hope, there is trust, a chance to shape the future
For the lessons of life there is no better teacher
Than the look in the eyes of a child
In the eyes of a child there is joy, there is laughter
There is hope, there is trust, a chance to shape the future
For the lessons of life there is no better teacher
Than the look in the eyes of a child
In the eyes of a child there is joy, there is laughter
There is hope, there is trust, a chance to shape the future
For the lessons of life there is no better teacher
Than the look in the eyes of a child

Love Sonnet LIV

What have you more than I, who crave you so?
Have I not hands and feet and thoughts to tell?
All my sweet senses and fine dreams that swell
Rich with contentments that the star-winds blow?
Yet do I need you everywhere I go,
As if you held me in some stinging spell;
And nothing living but yourself could quell
The conscious longings that tumultuous flow.

I am myself; and yet I cannot move
Hand, foot or eye but I am drawn to you.
I want you all—dreams, kisses, thoughts and eyes.
Dearest, it seems, my very wants would prove
I am yourself, dreaming we measure two;
And lack myself, that which yourself supplies.

11 Star

STAR:
'FOLLOW THE SAME STAR'
The truth we see;
How small a part
Of that lovely light
Ever reaches our heart?
If you're looking for the light,
There is a star shining bright,
A dawn to this dark night,
A candle burning bright.

Long ago, a star
Sent forth its light from afar.
And now, no matter how far,
We will follow the same star.
Lost sailors used stars
To calculate their course
Whenever the wind and waves took
Them with their force.

Let truth transform you;
It will make your heart and mind new.
If you're not faithful, your heart's in denial;
Take it from me - it's worth your while.
So forget this world with all its cares,
For troubled dreams turn into nightmares.
You have to leave this world behind
If you want to keep what you find.

The stars haven't always been there,
But the love of our Lord is everywhere.
The devil appears as an angel of light;
He does his best work in the night.
One day you'll leave this world of ours,
Taking your place among the stars.
Shine bright with light, my star;
Show the world who you are.

'SHARE THE SAME STAR'
I'm looking at this star tonight,
But will my wish come true?
I can't help wondering,
If you can see the same star too?
Do you see what I see,
As we stand in its light?
Does darkness overwhelm you,
When you look up there tonight?

I am dreaming in the darkness,
About this star that shines above.
I hope that you'll find me,
Looking for true love.
I've wished upon this special star
For my whole life, it seems.
I close my eyes and make a wish
For all my hopes and dreams.

One day, I got my wish;
I finally met you.
You're that special someone,
Who made my dreams come true.
They say you should never tell
What you wish for, it's true,
But I want the whole world to know
That my wish was for you.

Though there are miles between us,
I know our hearts will meet.
At the point this star begins,
The two will have one beat.
Whenever we are apart,
I find that same bright star.
It makes me feel close to your heart,
No matter where you are.

'WISH ON A STAR'
As I wait here, wondering where you are,
I lie in loneliness and look up at the stars.
Soaring on through space like a shooting star,
Still searching - wondering who you are.

As far as you can see into eternity,
Each one is a wish that with you I'll be.
Stare at the sky, on a silent night;
Count the crystal sea of stars, blazing bright.

Staying by your side wherever you may go,
I have to tell you now - I just want you to know
That even as the stars keep shining in the sky,
My love for you will burn forever and never die.

There's just something beautiful about when angels pray;
A star shines brighter in the night than the light of day.
You can't lift a candle to show lost souls the way
Without feeling the warmth of that radiant ray.

'SHINE BRIGHT WITH LIGHT'
Up in heaven, the angels cry;
Another star falls from the sky.
A falling star - a fading light,
And soon it shall pass from our sight.

When the world starts falling apart,
The hope of heaven is hidden in my heart.
I'll make the world a brighter place,
Like the light of a star in space.

Someday, we'll be just like the angels are;
Like the steady light of a distant star.
Someday soon, we'll shine like them,
Radiant as the rarest, glowing gem.

Sing to the stars - sing to the sea;
Let your song echo for eternity.
Truth our hearts alone can see,
A reflection of reality.

'EACH NIGHT I PRAY'
Walking outside, I lift my eyes
To a symphony in the skies.
You are my star - you shine so bright;
When it is dark, you are my light.

Everyday, I'm so grateful
For your warm and glowing light.
Thank you for being so faithful;
You make my whole world bright.

Just like a star, you're so far away.
I think of you - each night I pray,
But I know there's no way
For you to hear the words I say.

I see you in the sky at night,
But I can't touch the star in sight.
I guess I will always be
A friend you will never see.

'WISH YOU WERE HERE'
One night I was out wandering,
Feeling lost and alone.
I looked up into the heavens,
And there a bright star shone.

I picked one to wish on
From every star above.
I closed my eyes and made a wish
To send you all my love.

So look up in the sky tonight
And find that star;
It will shine bright with light,
However near or far.

And when you see our star,
My wish will come to you;
Stars were made to wish upon;
Sometimes wishes come true.

'I SAW THE LIGHT'
I saw a bright ray today
That led me out of darkness.
A little light so far away
In an endless sea of emptiness.

It burned like a shooting star,
In the distance, so very far.
I think it’s getting clearer;
Now it's coming nearer.

A light just as bright as the sun
And almost as distant;
It wasn’t the only one;
You couldn't have missed it.

When I'm lost in the dark and I can't see,0
I just look for the light.
I have hope when it shines on me,
Everything will be bright.

'YOU ARE MY LIGHT'
I looked up at the stars last night,
Just thinking about you,
And wondering what I could do
To make our dreams come true.

Together, we’ll shine like the sun;
Two candles burn brighter than one.
We'll dance just like the stars in space,
Together forever in an endless embrace.

Wherever you go, I will follow;
And it doesn't matter how far.
Without you, my heart feels hollow;
I just want to be where you are.

You shine just like a star so bright;
I'd be lost without your light.
Hand in hand, we'll stand together;
I promise to be there forever.

'A STAR IS BORN'
Every star is destined by fate
To live and then to die.
It glows with light - it just can't wait,
Shooting across the sky.

For a moment, it is there,
Burning bright up in the air.
It falls gently onto the ground,
Without making a sound.

Like a falling star,
Glowing bright with glory,
I'm just another ending
To someone else's story.

Just a dropp of rain in the desert,
Just a grain of sand in the sea;
What have I done that won’t be forgotten?
Will anyone remember me?

'SHINE LIKE A STAR'
I look up at the sky;
It hurts so much saying goodbye.
Every time I think of you,
It makes me want to cry.

Hope is not hope if you can see;
Is there a star that shines for me?
Like a star, you showed me the way;
You led me with your light each day.

I'll say a prayer for you;
I'll make a wish and I hope it comes true.
Put your faith in what you can't see;
I wish you could be here with me.

Sometimes I wish I could be
A star to shine for all to see.
I know the light is not my own;
I could never do it alone.

'YOU ARE MY STAR'
You are my star,
So bright up above;
I can't forget it;
It's you I love.

My star will shine
So bright and true.
It's a light in the night
Made just for you.

When you are lost,
Wherever you may be,
Look for the light,
For it will set you free.

Don't hide your light,
Wherever you are;
Let it burn bright,
Just like a star.

'A SEA OF STARS'
A life is lost;
What can we say?
A bright light burns,
Then it fades away.

And at the sight,
They stop and stare
On this dark night,
But they don't care.

It came and went;
I'm not sure what it meant.
A star fell from the sky,
And I want to know why.

Just for you,
This star fell;
You have one wish,
So use it well.

Polyacrostic Palimpsest - A Tribute

As tribute paid to time may this come clear
Uniformly in unsought surprise
Pen on paper no pattern spots, these ties
Interactive spinning tight, austere.
A pleasure hand has threaded bright idea
in thoughts using inset input, tries
Simple play pieces, satisfies soul's sighs, -
A startling insight art alone supplies.
None thread and read in one light verse sincere.
Nature set I in merry manner here
Expectant as these rhymed line flows appear.

A tribute I lay at your door and pray
United we find ways to understand, -
Pen and ink unlimited expand
Interactively in every way.
A great need appears to grow each day
In a soul who uses words at hand,
Simply puts pieces in a jigsaw band,
And, yet, will, in the end, find truth's bright ray.
No other may as much as this display
Noble mind. I in these lines here stand
Expectant as I wait your smile today.
