A Worn-out Repertoire
Tired of hearing
the monologue of my head;
consuming every thought,
corroding every memory,
repressing every chance
of hearing another melody,
uttering another name.
Your name:
a repeating monologue
I could not replace.

In the courtroom, it's where a lawyer really becomes an actor. There's a very fine line between delivering a monologue in a play and delivering a monologue to a jury. I've always felt that way - I've been in a lot of courtrooms. The best lawyers are really theatrical.

I Like It Here (part Two)
i like it here
i speak my lines i deliver them and there is no one to listen
how do i know you listening?
but even if i know you are there
it does not really matter
i am here only to speak
and i do not want to hear you talking back
i like it here
this place is simply perfect
for my circumlocution
my monologue
the way i speak to the moon
when the stars are so silent and unminding
the way i talk to the river when it simply passes by its banks
the way i talk to a stone, a tree, a pole, a cloud,
the way i talk to a glass one day whose water i have all drank
the way i talk to a horse, a dog, a cat,
or even to a pillow all wet with my tears.
i like this monologue.
i burst and then i live anew
for another day
tomorrow.
yes, i like it too
talking to your picture that i keep many years ago.
black and white and scented
with moth balls.

Jealous Blood
Standing on a hump,
a chilled remorselessness
of a shadow trauma climbs out of a sealed
grotto of infinity
like a vas deferens, spilling fiddled lies.
You grope for your identity in griping
acceptance. From the umbilical cord
the pink flesh brandishes a monster.
You forget the vowels in a solo monologue
in a tormented accent, muffled
in bleeding throat. Take my ears
for cosmetic therapy, which killed my hearing.
Between blindness and tidy rocks
I am walking discreetly to count the
digs of mysterious armless truths:
disappeared in the pages of history.

Wondrous Stories
I awoke this morning
Love laid me down by a river.
Drifting I turned on upstream
Bound for my forgiver.
In the giving of my eyes to see your face.
Sound did silence me
Leaving no trace.
I beg to leave, to hear your wonderous stories.
Beg to hear your wonderous stories.
He spoke of lands not far
Or lands they were in his mind.
Of fusion captured high
Where reason captured his time.
In no time at all he took me to the gate.
In haste I quickly checked the time.
If I was late I had to leave to hear your wonderous stories.
Had to hear your wonderous stories.
Hearing
Hearing
Hearing your wonderous stories.
Hearing your wonderous stories.
It is no lie I can see deeply into the future.
Imagine everything
Youre close
And were you there to stand
So cautiously at first and then so high.
As he spoke my spirit climbed into the sky.
I bid it to return
To hear your wonderous stories.
Return to hear your wonderous stories.

Far More Effective
The lies and dirt
And hearing things untrue.
The gossip and innuendos...
Done by those with limited minds too!
There is nothing else I would rather do,
Than to pull these thoughts
Out of my memory...
With the pain I felt!
And the scars that healed with much attitude!
It hurts...
To know others find feelings of mine,
Worthless.
It hurts...
When lies and dirt
And hearing things untrue said
To ruin my happiness...
And to mess up my head!
It hurts!
But not as much as being on the other end
Of retaliation!
Even forgiveness doesn't seem to control it,
When that times comes...
To payback what others have done!
I am not of the 'turn-the-other-cheek' kind!
I pray everyday that God removes the players...
And the bitterness I've been holding for years,
In my mind for some time!
Doesn't make sense repeating the ignorance.
Especially since those deeds done
Have already been repaid with my approval and delight...
By my Father!
And I thank God throughout every hour,
He has allowed me to overcome my taste for retribution!
Knowing that a 'higher power' does that
Much better than I can!
And far more effective.

Liquid Sky
I aint no romeo. Im just the man for you.
Holding out as secrets travel, they kind of get to you.
Everybody says that it couldve been something.
Never was a smart kid, never knew a good thing.
Always hearing voices swim ... in your liquid sky.
Liquid sky ... always hearing voices, like no more choices in disguise.
I aint no sacred idol or a saint pretending.
Ill build you up. Ill tear you down. turn you wrong side in.
What am I afraid of? everyones listening.
Standing on my soapbox, lost the beginning.
Always hearing voices ... swim ... in your liquid sky.
Liquid sky ... Im always hearing voices, like no more choices, like a lie.
Its just, its just liquid sky.
Im always hearing voices like electric shock waves in disguise.
I dont know what this means. Ill leave it for your interpretation. its just me at the edge ...
Everybody says that it could have been something.
Never was a smart kid, never knew a good thing.
Always hearing voices ... swim in your liquid sky.
Liquid sky ... Im always hearing voices, like no more choices, like a lie.
Its just, its just liquid sky. Im always hearing voices like electric shock waves in disguise.
Always hearing voices swim ...

To Young
i'm so sick of hearing
i'm to young
i can't love and hate and
feel anything
i'm so sick of hearing
i'm to young
to do what i do
or say what i say
i'm so sick of hearing
i'm to young
to know whats wrong or right
to be on my own
i'm so sick of hearing
i'm to young
to be in love
to have been through pain
i'm so sick of hearing..
i'm to young

It's not really that I've been an advocate for hearing aids for a long time, it's just that I've been losing my hearing for a long time! So it's actually very important for me because I'm actually hearing impaired and I simply want to hear better!

Whipped
Is there anything that can help me let go
I’m tired of crying down this road
I’m young should I feel this old
I’m tired of being split
I’m tired of feeling whipped
I’m tired of not knowing what’s right
I’m tired of looking for this light
I’m tired of living wrong
I’m tired of crying to this repeating sad song
I’m tired of wrong feeling so right
I’m tired of fighting with all my might
I’m tired of hoping friends will be by my side
I’m tired of my feelings I hide
I’m tired of no one picking up the phone
I’m tired of being home
I’m tired of the sun
I’m tired of the moon
I’m tired of thinking what to do
I’m tired of you
All I ever think of is hope
And all I ever heard is have faith
I feel fragile like an old piece of rope
And know I did nothing but disgrace
I hoped to be a good man
I hoped to have a plan
I hoped to be the one
I hoped to have some fun
I hoped life was easer than they say
I hoped home was where I lay
I hoped I always knew right
I hoped I would always fight
I hoped me was the one you see
I hoped true love would always be
I hoped I didn’t need to rest
I hoped life meant happiness
Hope and faith are strong words
They fly away easy like birds
Does one ever know where they stand?
Its harder than I thought to be a man
I remember being young and free
I remember trying to be me
I remember when I first fell in love
I remember hearing the sound of a dove
I remember being young wishing I was old
I remember trying to live out side the mold
I remember when I would dream
I remember when it was all about me
I remember when I wanted to be where I am
I remember that meant I needed to be man
I remember when life was fun
I remember shooting out like a gun
I remember love was a rush
I remember the first time I was crushed
I remember doing and not thinking
I remember doing nothing but drinking
I remember trying to make my tears dry
I remember the feeling of telling a lie
I remember when the world was at my feet
I remember the feeling of being beat
I remember being ashamed of who I am
I remember at one time I knew where I stand
Memory is a gift or is it a curse
It showed you at your best and at your worse
Time is something that should be taken slowly
I don’t want to be old and lonely
I know not to always follow my gut
I know ill always be in this rut
I know tomorrow will come
I know yesterday is gone
I know I will run
I know I am wrong
I know ill live
I know ill die
I know not to ask why

Pop
Sick and tired of hearing all these people talk about
"What's the deal with this pop life and when's it gonna fade out?"
I think you've got to realize what we're doing is not a trend
We got the gift of melody
We're gonna bring it 'til the end
Now
Why you wanna try and classify the type of things we do
We're just doing what we like

Got Deaf.....
She got deaf after hearing that she lost
her child in bomb blast.....
She was shocked & couldn't believe what
happened.
She was not able to see her child in pieces.
She cried to her peak & tried to kill herself.
She got deaf after hearing that she lost
her child in bomb blast.....
She cursed the person who planed bomb blast.
She begged god to get her child back to her.
She just wondered how her dreams got shattered.
She got deaf after hearing that she lost
her child in bomb blast.....
She couldn't even get her child whole body.
She was just trying to search him in the stars.
She just thought that maybe it's an horrible dream.
She got deaf after hearing that she lost
her child in bomb blast.....

Ive Been Hearing Things About You
Have I gone crazy
Is there someone new
Something strange is going on
Between me and you
But tell me baby
Tell me its not true
cause Ive been hearing things about you
Are you unhappy
Are you lonely too
Wont you tell me face to face
What youre gonna do
Well I still love you
But Im nobodys fool
Ive been hearing things about you
Yeah I heard Ive been dancin
When youre out there runnin round
And I heard youve been seein
Some stranger you have found
And I heard youve been thinkin
About tellin me were through
Yeah Ive been hearing things about you
Yeah I heard youve been thinkin
About tellin me were through
Ive been hearing things, oh I aint naming names
Ive been hearing things about you

Eh? !
Going deaf
is such a curse.
Yet my listening's better -
'cos my hearing is worse.
Will it improve
my writing verse
if my listening's better
though my hearing is worse?
But, on the bright side - I'm
truth's creditor, not debtor:
my hearing's worse
but my listening is better...
