I was the first spokesperson for the Better Hearing Institute in Washington. And that's the message we tried to send out - there is hearing help out there, and the technology and options are amazing.

Wondrous Stories
I awoke this morning
Love laid me down by a river.
Drifting I turned on upstream
Bound for my forgiver.
In the giving of my eyes to see your face.
Sound did silence me
Leaving no trace.
I beg to leave, to hear your wonderous stories.
Beg to hear your wonderous stories.
He spoke of lands not far
Or lands they were in his mind.
Of fusion captured high
Where reason captured his time.
In no time at all he took me to the gate.
In haste I quickly checked the time.
If I was late I had to leave to hear your wonderous stories.
Had to hear your wonderous stories.
Hearing
Hearing
Hearing your wonderous stories.
Hearing your wonderous stories.
It is no lie I can see deeply into the future.
Imagine everything
Youre close
And were you there to stand
So cautiously at first and then so high.
As he spoke my spirit climbed into the sky.
I bid it to return
To hear your wonderous stories.
Return to hear your wonderous stories.

Send A Message
In a line of fire I stand and wait for you, I cant hold out for too long
Searchin every part of me for a sign, Im in the middle of a storm
I keep hopin, keep on dreamin, somehow youll get through to me
So I reach across the silence, in the air, I keep hopin for a sound
Just a word or two is all I need, how can I bring you back around
Can you hear me, can I touch you, show me the way to your heart
Chorus:
Send a message - send me a message tonight
Send a message - in my dreams you are never out of sight
Send a message - let me stand in your light, just send me a message
In my dark and lonely night I look for you, wont you save me from myself
When my senses melt away you will be here and I wont need nobody else
I cant hold back, I wont fight it, roll back this stone from my heart
Send a message - send me a message tonight
Send a message - in my dreams you are never out of sight
Send a message - let me stand in your light, just send me a message
Everything you are (everything you are)
Means everything to me (means everything to me)
I will wait for you (I will wait)
Time is all we need (is all)
(guitar solo)
I keep hopin, keep on dreamin, somehow youll get through to me
Send a message - send me a message tonight
Send a message - in my dreams you are never out of sight
Send a message - let me stand in your light, just send me a message
(send a, send a, send a, send a, send a, send a) Im ready, I am ready
Send a, send a
Send me a, me a
Send a, send a...

Liquid Sky
I aint no romeo. Im just the man for you.
Holding out as secrets travel, they kind of get to you.
Everybody says that it couldve been something.
Never was a smart kid, never knew a good thing.
Always hearing voices swim ... in your liquid sky.
Liquid sky ... always hearing voices, like no more choices in disguise.
I aint no sacred idol or a saint pretending.
Ill build you up. Ill tear you down. turn you wrong side in.
What am I afraid of? everyones listening.
Standing on my soapbox, lost the beginning.
Always hearing voices ... swim ... in your liquid sky.
Liquid sky ... Im always hearing voices, like no more choices, like a lie.
Its just, its just liquid sky.
Im always hearing voices like electric shock waves in disguise.
I dont know what this means. Ill leave it for your interpretation. its just me at the edge ...
Everybody says that it could have been something.
Never was a smart kid, never knew a good thing.
Always hearing voices ... swim in your liquid sky.
Liquid sky ... Im always hearing voices, like no more choices, like a lie.
Its just, its just liquid sky. Im always hearing voices like electric shock waves in disguise.
Always hearing voices swim ...

To Young
i'm so sick of hearing
i'm to young
i can't love and hate and
feel anything
i'm so sick of hearing
i'm to young
to do what i do
or say what i say
i'm so sick of hearing
i'm to young
to know whats wrong or right
to be on my own
i'm so sick of hearing
i'm to young
to be in love
to have been through pain
i'm so sick of hearing..
i'm to young

It's not really that I've been an advocate for hearing aids for a long time, it's just that I've been losing my hearing for a long time! So it's actually very important for me because I'm actually hearing impaired and I simply want to hear better!

Here Comes The Breeze
*here comes the breeze, come on, blow me up
*planting the seed, come on sow me up
*feel in the feeling, making our way through the storm
*weve been deceiving, making our way through the storm
*all we needs a little more to
Send a little message to ya, gonna get out our heads
Send a little message to ya, gonna get out our heads
*here comes the air, come on, blow me up
*harness the fair, come on, grow me up
Staring at nothing cos I cant make out what it is
Searching for something I just dont know what it is
All we needs a litle water
Send a little message to ya, gonna get out our heads
Send a little message to ya, gonna get out our heads
Come on in, come in on and lay me down
And relax cos the world will collapse with you
Turn your red light in to blue
Why do you keep running around like that
Sit back cos this is gonna take a while
Theres no shame in going out of style
Why do you keep running around like that
Send a little message to ya, gonna get out our heads
Send a little message to ya, gonna get out our heads
Send a little message to ya, gonna get out our heads
Send a little message to ya, gonna get out our heads

Ive Been Hearing Things About You
Have I gone crazy
Is there someone new
Something strange is going on
Between me and you
But tell me baby
Tell me its not true
cause Ive been hearing things about you
Are you unhappy
Are you lonely too
Wont you tell me face to face
What youre gonna do
Well I still love you
But Im nobodys fool
Ive been hearing things about you
Yeah I heard Ive been dancin
When youre out there runnin round
And I heard youve been seein
Some stranger you have found
And I heard youve been thinkin
About tellin me were through
Yeah Ive been hearing things about you
Yeah I heard youve been thinkin
About tellin me were through
Ive been hearing things, oh I aint naming names
Ive been hearing things about you

Eh? !
Going deaf
is such a curse.
Yet my listening's better -
'cos my hearing is worse.
Will it improve
my writing verse
if my listening's better
though my hearing is worse?
But, on the bright side - I'm
truth's creditor, not debtor:
my hearing's worse
but my listening is better...

Message In Bottle
Just a castaway
An island lost at sea
Another lonely day
No-one here but me
More loneliness
Than any man could bear
Rescue me before I fall into despair
Ill send an sos to the world
Ill send an sos to the world
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle
Message in a bottle
A year has passed since I wrote my note
But I should have known this right from the start
Only hope can keep me together
Love can mend your life
But love can break your heart
Ill send an sos to the world
Ill send an sos to the world
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle
Message in a bottle
Ooh... message in a bottle
Message in a bottle
Walked out this morning
Dont believe what I saw
A hundred billion bottles
Washed up on the shore
Seems Im not alone in being alone
A hundred billion castaways
Looking for a home
Ill send an sos to the world
Ill send an sos to the world
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my

Options
Options, options, options,
ever too many choices.
Purple, Black, Blue or Green,
so many whispering voices;
Clint Eastwood, Kirk Douglas, Charly Sheen.
Options, options, options,
your thoughts bubbling away.
No time to choose but Delay:
'Sticks and stones can't break my bones,
but Options they can kill you still!

I'm sick of you
Can’t you tell I’m sick of you?
If you can’t let me make it straight,
I’m sick of having this debate,
I’m sick of being the friend you come to when you’re bored,
And I’m sick of my words being ignored,
I’m sick of listening to you telling me what to do,
I’m sick of having to do chores for you,
I quit,
I’m sick of hearing you flirt with my brother,
Why don’t you go find another?
I’m sick of hearing what you and your friends are doing,
But never hearing “you’re going”,
I’m sick of not being good enough,
Sorry we don’t like the same stuff,
I sick of you caring what people think of me,
It’s me, and I don’t agree,
I am who I am like it or leave it,
So I will go, but I must admit,
I am a screw up, not the best at being a friend,
But I don’t talk crap, don’t pretend,
I don’t use, lie, or fake,
So as I said, this is me,
Like it or leave it,
I am done.

The thing about hearing loss is that no one can see it. Most people are so impatient; they just assume that the person with hearing loss is being rude, or slow-witted.

Ego to be groomed
Hearing that someone spoke well of you,
Don't get intoxicated. It might be intentional.
Hearing that someone spoke ill of you,
Don't get infuriated. It might be false.
