Voices
The voices in my head is telling me not to let you go,
You had lay me down to sleep,
You walk pass by me in dreams,
You had made me happy,
You took care of me,
The voices are telling me to let you stay,
The voices in my heart is telling me to open up,
My soul tells me not to open up,
The voices are everywhere in my body,
My head, my soul, and my heart,
My body is numb,
You have took what was once given,
You have made your mistakes by letting me go,
I was once happy with you,
The voices are telling me to hold on to you,
But I have took what was once you had given to me and that was trust,
You have betrayed my trust,
Betrayed your friends,
The voices are telling me to help you,
But I choose not to.

The Voices Are Back
He saw flames in the department store
He tried to get the people to the safety of the door
There was no fire the voices were telling him what to do
You could see from his face he needs someone
To help pull him through
The voices are back theyre telling him what to do
The voices are back theyre telling him what to do
Ripping through the fabric between his world and the real
Hes trying to protect you but
The knife will know that your flesh meets steel
Took him to an institution
And they helped the voices go away
But he didnt have the right set of papers
So they put this boy in jail
The voices are back theyre telling him what to do
The voices are back theyre telling him what to do
Six weeks turned to twelve
He was locked up for twenty-three hours a day
The warden found him in his cell
His only crime was that he was ill
The voices are back theyre telling him what to do
The voices are back theyre telling him what to do

One More Try
There was nothing missing, it was just a case of foolishness
Girl, I mustve been crazy
Something I would just as soon forget
I can only say Im sorry and leave it up to you to say the rest
Chorus
If you want to go, girl, I wont stand in your way
But Ill stand by you if you decide you want to stay
Baby, dont you see
Doesnt have to be forever or goodbye
All Im asking for is one more try
Im the one who hurt you, still I know the pain youre going through
And even if you show forgiveness, there may be too much damage to undo
I hear these voices telling me not to give up on you
Chorus
My heart and soul are searching
Trying to find a way
To bring your love back to me
Still I hear these voices telling me not to give up on you

Many Voices...
there are many voices
not just two, you keep telling me,
one voice says 'Enough'
the second one says 'Move'
and there are other voices
which i refuse to hear
because i am tired
and there is one that
solely comforts me
'Don't mind! '
sleepy, tender, independent,
mine.

On a beach

Nine tribesmen stand alone
Waiting for a distant call
Waiting for the world to answer

They began to sing a new song

Old Black Joe
1 Gone are the days when my heart was young and gay,
2 Gone are my friends from the cotton fields away,
3 Gone from the earth to a better land I know,
4 I hear their gentle voices calling 'Old Black Joe.'
5 [Chorus] I'm coming, I'm coming, for my head is bending low:
6 I hear those gentle voices calling, 'Old Black Joe.'
7 [Solo] Why do I weep when my heart should feel no pain
8 Why do I sigh that my friends come not again,
9 Grieving for forms Now departed long a go?
10 I hear their gentle voices calling 'Old Black Joe.'
11 [Chorus] I'm coming, I'm coming, for my head is bending low:
12 I hear those gentle voices calling, 'Old Black Joe.'
13 [Solo] Where are the hearts once so happy and so free?
14 The children so dear that I held upon my knee,
15 Gone to the shore where my soul has longed to go.
16 I hear their gentle voices calling 'Old Black Joe.'
17 [Chorus] I'm coming, I'm coming, for my head is bending low:
18 I hear those gentle voices calling, 'Old Black Joe.'

Chant To The Sun
voices of men
like wailing of the rivers
like riding wild horses
and catching wolves
voices of men
strong and determined
for freedom
under the ruling sun
voices of men
cascading like the Niagara
falls
voices of men so alive
muscles of their arms
shining like metals
to the moon
voices of men
friends of nature
chanting
for more love
life
peace and
harmony

Voices Cryin Out
Voices cryin out, voices cryin out
Voices cryin out in the night hear them call
Voices cryin out hear them call
Its a night
Like no other night
Its a day
Almost turning grey
Its a heart
Like a broken heart
Its a wheel
At the end of day
Its the plight
Of a boy whos scared
Of the waves rushing out
And the wind in the air
Its the sight
Of one longing to taste
Of life
Voices crying out in the night hear them call
Voices from some foreign shore
Visions that seem an incredible dream
Echoing for more
Voices crying out in the night hear them call
Voices crying out hear them call
Its a song
Of a love unsung
Its the pain
Of just being young
Its a cry
Of a voice unheard
Of a face
Speaking silent words
Its the hope
That the time goes by
Take you upon a wing
Teach your soul to fly
Its a wish
That youll live your experience life
Voices crying out in the night hear them call
Voices from some foreign shore
Vision that seem an incredible dream
Echoing for more
Voices crying out in the night hear them call
Voices crying out hear them call
Oh do you know how it feels to be free
Walking your path of life
Embracing destiny one day at a time
Voices cryin out...oh cant you hear them
Voices cryin out...listen please, listen to the future
Voices cryin out...millions and millions and millions of voices
Voices cryin out...oh oh oh oh
Voices crying out in the night hear them call
Voices from some foreign shore
Vision that seem an incredible dream
Echoing for more
Voices crying out in the night hear them call
Voices crying out hear them call
Voices crying out in the night hear them call
Voices from some foreign shore
Vision that seem an incredible dream
Echoing for more
Voices cryin out
Voices cryin out
Voices cryin out...

Looting
You believe in the looting of few,
The voice of love betrays nobody.
If telling and doing is about
Then why do you achieve like a speech?
You are still, and motionless is another,
For both believe in manly affairs.
The stride of a life is the stride of living,
Many dyes of pain, many are in pleasure.
The voices loudly echo when they follow
Other voices, instead whispering is about.

Even With All The Small Stuff
They say don't sweat the small stuff.
I try not to, but some times I still do.
They keep adding up as I keep telling the voices in my head just shut up.
Hateful thoughts becomes a common occurrence as anger builds.
You must treat it like a balloon and let the air out very slowly or it will fly off in a uncontrollable way.
Or explode all of a sudden.
To little to late.
A very common mistake.
That imprisons so many.
But I keep telling myself that will never be.
Because I won't go off unless it is to defend myself or loved ones from mortal danger.

Voices From The Grave
Mesmerizing sounds I hear telling me to kill
Telling me submit to the power
Demonic overtones I fear stealing my freewill
I am now the man of the hour
Controlling all my thoughts now I don't know
Right from wrong there is no hope for escape
Stung by wicked words as the silence
Speaks to me there is no hope for escape
CHORUS
Voices from the grave
Telling me to sin
My soul is what they crave
Killing me within
Disembodied spirits near pervading through my soul
Getting harder to live in this Hell
Angry voices loud and clear now they take control
Now they leave me just an empty shell
Controlling all my thoughts now I don't know
Right from wrong there is no hope for escape
Stung by wicked words as the silence
Speaks to me there is no hope for escape
CHORUS
Voices from the grave
Telling me to sin
My soul is what they crave
Killing me within
Nothing to do but heed to their world
And live to their every command
All of my thoughts are sacrificial
And used for their violent plans
Mustering strenght to fight the attack
Released from a hypnotic state
I drop to my knees and pray to the Lord
To save me from my evil fate
Screaming in pain I'm thrown to the floor
And grabbed by their arms of control
The powers of evil the powers of good
Are fighting for my weakened soul
A winner emerges darkness prevails
No future's in sight for me
Can't take the pain darkness delivers
Dying will set me free
Clenching the gun sweating in fear
Knowing the end is surely near
Pulling the trigger launching death
Evil inside me gasping breath
Lifeless pile dead and gone
Evil around me still lives on
Lesson in life the road is paved
Follow God and you'll be saved
Beware of voices from the grave

I Have A Voice Of My Own
I HAVE A VOICE OF MY OWN
I have a voice of my own
It is a small quiet voice
It does not know violent metaphor
And it cannot surprise very much
It is a small quiet voice
And a quite simple one
It loves to think it tells the truth of my soul
But no doubt it has its own forms of ironies and deceptions-
There are other voices much greater than it
Stronger voices and more poetic voices
And voices which rightfully more appeal to others
But my voice is my voice
And it is the one
I am trying to
speak to you with now.

The Only Voices I hear Are On The Inside
I was born not being able to hear
Born not hearing my mother tell me I'm dear
Born never listening to anyone who spoke to me
Born not enjoying music
Born without the ability to gauge sound, unable to hear the clock tick
But since the day I was born
Since before I could talk, I could scorn
There was one thing I always did hate
And that was the thing deepest inside of me,
The thing for which I cursed fate
Worse than deafness or being unable to see
Since the day I was born I heard voices
Not when loved ones talked, but voices that weren't my choice
To hear, voices that were inside my head
Voices that nobody else heard, but I didn't know if they were lying
Because my hearing has always been dead
I'd hear screeching or dying
When none was there
Those voices they'd tell me what to do and how could I deny them?
They were, they are, and they will be the only ones who care
Because they're the only one that speak to me, I can't find the sin
That I committed to be born like this, to be born broken
I've heard more conversations than any other man
And yet I've never heard man utter a word, through my whole lifespan
The only voices I hear are on the inside
And it's the greatest torment that I hide
They'll just tell me I'm crazy, well in writing
But these voices, they accept me, they sing
These voices they know because they've talked to me
These voices are the only I've ever known the
The first voices I've ever heard
Like a mother, I've never listened to a singing bird
But I've listened to a cacophonous symphony of arguing inside my head
These voices are like the woman I did not choose, but wed
I can't separate myself from them
The only time I hear anything, it's torment to condemn
Me, it's funny that I could never speak to anyone but myself
But I guess I've never, ever, been lonely... not ever.
I
Have
Never
Been
Alone
W ho could save me from myselves?

New York
In New York freedom looks like
Too many choices
In New York I found a friend
To drown out the other voices
Voices on a cell phone
Voices from home
Voices of the hard sell
Voices down a stairwell
In New York
Just got a place in New York
In New York summers get hot
Well into the hundreds
You can walk around the block
Without a change of clothing
Hot as a hair dryer in your face
Hot as a handbag and a can of mace
New York
I just got a place in New York
New York

I'm Free
I was stranded in the dark
trying to find an open door
so alone
Chains were wrapped around my heart
didn't know what love was for
no more
heard these voices in my head
telling me you'll never escape
no you can't get away
When the spirit in me said
your love could show me the way
my whole life changed on that day
Now I'm walking in the light
all aglow
all I see is sunshine in my eyes
skies of blue

I'm Going To Be Alright (feat. 50 Cent)
It's funny cause for a while
I walked around with a smile but
Deep inside I could hear voices telling me this ain't right
Don't you know it's not for you
I always knew what I had to do
But it's hard to get away
Because I love you I just tried to stay
1 - I used to say I couldn't do it, but I did it
After telling everybody that I wasn't with it
Though it brings tears to my eyes, I can feel it
And I know inside I'm gonna be alright
Repeat 1
Friends of mine say to me
They say you got control over me
You're not alone, I played a part
I saw the way you were from the start
Could I expect so much from you
You had a girl when I first met you
Did the best that you could do
Now I realize I can't change you
Repeat 1 (2x)
Said I wouldn't walk away
Somedays I want to stay
But leaving you is what I need to do to be okay
Never thought it would be true
Me livin' without you
But now it's time for me to make a move
Repeat 1 till end

Voices Inherit The Wind
The lingering shadows of those
who are gone from our grasp
bring comfort to those
who had to say behind.
Their voices inherit the wind
on cold and lonely nights.
Their voices can be heard
telling us everything is all right
when the shadows of loneliness
fall across our sight.
Our weeping call to come back
is answered in the wind
and the shaking branches
touched by a breeze.
Candles were lit to show us the way
when the clouds of darkness surround
and the voices inheriting the wind compound.
We walk with eyes blinded
into an eternal light
to be consumed within.
No one knows our boundaries
when angels take flight
and we only go when we are ready
to face the eternal night.
Those we left have no fear
we maybe gone, but we are still here.
Our voices inherit the wind on dark blustery nights.
We are those fleeting shadows
you catch from the corner of your eye.
We seek not to alarm you,
just to guide you along,
we are your past nudging you
into the future where you belong.

Escaping Childhood
Another scream, finds my ears
Thundering booms, as doors are slammed
'Welcome to the mad house'
I say, silently
As not to wake, the voices inside
I lay still, in hope, the voices
Won't find me
A tear of regret
Relentlessly, falls from my cheek
As I long for, the good ole days
The sound of my single tear
Hitting my pillow
Wake the voices
My soul, tries to escape
This maze in my mind
To many voices to evade
I lose myself to the voices
Again
I can see
But I have no say
My life is not my own
I'm trapped
Behind a wall of hurt and pain
Still, the voices are in control
I beg for relief
But they laugh
And mock me
Unable to stop them
I surrender, completely
They win, again
As I lose
Never, do I wish
I was someone else
All I wish, is to be myself

Voices in my headSHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP! ! !
SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP! ! !
Voices are every where in my head.
They follow me everywhere, like the black cloud that rains.
The voices in my head constantly scratch at my brain.
With in the mist of the rain.
But the living gets painful and harder every single day.
I feel ashamed to admit that i don't want to live,
I don't know how much more i can take or give.
While the voices makes me emotionally sick.
The hold they have on me is so tight and thick,
Voices of bastards who hurt me.
The asswholes that abused me.
The depression they left in my life.
As the voices I try to fight.
I battle in the day i battle in the night
I try and compose myself, let them belive that i'm fine
But happiness is non-existant in this world of mine
When i hear the voices i feel i'm going insane,
As they constantly scratch away at my brain.
All they want to do is hurt me even more.
Brining me to the shore.
They want to bring me to an end
