For The Friend From Strange Land....
Dearest Rodd...
Dedicated to you! ! !
Telling you 'thankyou'...in your style...
Hope you like this :)
******************************
The friend from strange land
This ones for you
My way to express
My love for you.
Though we vary hugely
In distance, in time
Me an orange juice
While you an old wine.
But fates conspiracies
Some wicked, some sweet
This ones surely a magic
Your friendships my biggest greed.
Your words, your verses
Friend, I'm a huge fan
Your philosophies, your thoughts
You're my old wise man.
Whenever I find you
Waiting in my inbox
My smile go wide
Man! You seriously rock.
For all the considetation
Encouragement and guidance
I thank you deep heartly
Salute your power of tolerance.
(lol...must have been pretty difficult to toletate me)
Keeping all odds aside
The gaps, the time.
The fresh juice and the ancient wine
A combination so fine! ! !

Orange juice
Orange juice mom says drink
When i am sick
It can make me thick
Orange juice i have to pick
licking mom says no
Drinking i have to do
Hate orange juice, mom says i know
Vitamin C it has
And i need to take
for my own sake
Healthy it can make me
Power it can give me
Orange juice
Is all i need
When i am in lead
With the kids at the lake.! :)

Thank You For The Thought
THIS POEM IS DEDICATED TO MY 'DJ' BEST FRIEND
Thank you my friend for the text,
For asking me how I am today,
For telling me how things are there,
Thank you for the thought, my friend.
Thank you my friend for the text,
For asking about my plans for the occasion;
For asking for a little of my time so you can call,
My friend, Thank you for the thought.
Thank you my friend for the call,
For finding time to call me up;
For spending money to find out how I am,
Thank you for the thought my friend.
Thank you my friend for the forward mails
You so untiringly send when you think
They can make me smile and say a little prayer;
Thank you for the thought my friend.
Thank you my friend for the friendship,
For the patience to listen when I whine,
For the tolerance to my shortcomings,
For reminding me to always take care of myself,
Thank you for the thought my friend.

Orange juice kiss
A circle of dried, sweet orange juice
Finger to mouth, the taste memories seduce
Memories of that sweet orange juice kiss
Thoughts race to the past and days of bliss
The giggling young angel standing at the bedside
The past and the present, emotions collide
Those glorious hours playing in the park
Warm sunny days before the onset of dark
When long summer day’s end and it’s time to rest
Sweet angel climbs up and lays head on my chest
If there’s one memory that brings me this bliss
It’s the memory of that sweet orange juice kiss

My dearest friends..when i am gone..1949..?
My dearest friends 1949.........when i am gone
As my eyes stretch and dip into the distant, I do clearly see
The many shadows silently and surely fast approaching me.
To those dearest friend i leave behind I want you to know
You were the best of blessing from Heaven above and more.
You've always shared my every single deepest thoughts,
And in my struggle confusion its just you I finally did, sought.
Yes... now i am old and wise to words that means little to me
As the cold biting winds carelessly blow right through me.
And someday soon in the mist of the fast moving time
They surely will boldy ask you if you knew the long gone me
Please smile and say that you were the greatest friend of mine
I can see and feel the dark shadows now fast enveloping me
As insensitive words, mails were frequently tossed around me
And the sadness cannot be lifted from my tired and ageing eyes
Though my days are numbered I have still not stopped the cries
I want you to know you've shared my confused saddest hours
Have been the steadfast loyal and the most strongest power
Lifted me high when i was lost alone. stumbling, nowhere to go
You helped me travel this far and i surely did calmly make it so
Please remember that you were a greatest friend of mine
You filled the journey with a radiance that was ever so fine
Soon the final curtain will fall before my very weary eyes
Remember you were a loyal friend who made me smile and rise!

Odds And Ends (1)
by Bob Dylan
I plan it all and I take my place
You break your promise all over the place
You promised to love me, but what do I see
Just you comin' and spillin' juice over me
Odds and ends, odds and ends
Lost time is not found again
Now, you take your file and you bend my head
I never can remember anything that you said
You promised to love me, but what do I know
You're always spillin' juice on me like you got someplace to go
Odds and ends, odds and ends
Lost time is not found again
Now, I've had enough, my box is clean
You know what I'm sayin' and you know what I mean
From now on you'd best get on someone else
While you're doin' it, keep that juice to yourself
Odds and ends, odds and ends
Lost time is not found again

Wine (Love Poem)
Wine is for laughing
Wine is for talking all night
Wine is for living life out loud
Wine is for making us beautiful
Wine is for all-night conversations
Wine is for getting together again
Wine is for ‘never again’ tomorrow
Wine is for sleeping like a baby
Wine is for telling the truth
Wine is food for love
Wine is friendship
Wine is fresh

Sweet Sugar
(over importance of money)
Ive no time for boring things
Theres no religion
That can make my heart sing, no
They call me up
Say: hey come on down
Weve got credit salvation
All over town
And I can see it everywhere I go
I can hear it on my radio
They keep telling me its alright
But theres one thing
I dont need tonight
Is their sweet sugar, poison wine
I dont need these things
To make me feel fine
Sweet sugar, poison wine
Just need your love girl, every time
We dont need these
Pointless things
We just need to mend
Our broken wings
Take a look, a look
Whats going down
Weve gotta stop
Before we hit the ground
Yeah, we can have it
Dont you know
Take part in their tv show
Theyll keep telling us its alright
But theres one thing
I dont need tonight
You cant fool me
Its a waste of time
Youre selling tears
Down the credit card line, yeah
But giving up is not
Their frame of mind
Theyll find a way
To break us in time
Yeah, I can meet you
Everywhere I go
And I can hear you on my radio
You keep telling me its alright
But theres one thing
I dont need tonight
Is your sweet sugar, poison wine
I dont need these things
To make me feel fine
Sweet sugar, poison wine
I just need your love girl, every time
Sweet sugar, poison wine
I dont need these things
To make me feel fine
Sweet sugar, poison wine
Just gimme your love girl
Gimme your love, gimme your love
Sweet sugar, poison wine
I need your love girl
Yeah, all the time
Sweet sugar, poison wine
I just need you girl, everytime

Mr Hypocrite
Mr Hypocrite!
I cannot be your your friend!
I cannot wine nor dine with thee!
I will not be your friend!
Oh mr hypocritic clergy man!
I will not be your friend!
I will not wine nor dine with you!
I will not be your friend I say!
The last time i turned my back on you!
You stuck a knife in it!
The last time I put my trust in you!
You took me for a fool!
The Last time i gave my love to you!
You broke it like an egg!
Oh Mr hypocritic man I say!
I will not be your friend!
I will not Sit and eat with you!
I will not be your friend!

Strange Magic
Youre sailing softly through the sun
In a broken stone age dawn.
You fly so high.
I get a strange magic,
Oh, what a strange magic,
Oh, its a strange magic.
Got a strange magic,
Got a strange magic.
Youre walking meadows in my mind,
Making waves across my time,
Oh no, oh no.
I get a strange magic,
Oh, what a strange magic,
Oh, its a strange magic.
Got a strange magic,
Got a strange magic.
Oh, Im never gonna be the same again,
Now Ive seen the way its got to end,
Sweet dream, sweet dream.
Strange magic,
Oh, what a strange magic,
Oh, its a strange magic.
Got a strange magic,
Got a strange magic.
Its magic, its magic, its magic.
Strange magic,
Oh, what a strange magic,
Oh, its a strange magic.
Got a strange magic.
Strange magic strange magic
Oh, what a strange magic strange magic
Oh, its a strange magic.
Got a strange magic.
Strange magic strange magic
Oh, what a strange magic strange magic
Oh, its a strange magic.
Got a strange magic,
Got a strange magic,
You know I got a strange magic,
Yeah, I got a strange magic,
Oo-o-o-oo, strange magic. (fade)

Eyes Lassos, Too, Are Strained…
The sinful night melts in the sky,
Force bears a deep passion,
Juice is got by squeezing grapes;
Such fall causes ascension.
Then the juice turns into wine,
Into the wine – the source of passion,
And in the end, that very force
Creates love and affection.
Later, hunted by that intrigue,
The willful heirs are brought to birth,
And eyes lassos, too, are strained…
They, too, stand firmly on the earth…

Great Friendship
Did Anyone Ever Tell You
How Important You Make Others Feel,
Somebody out here is smiling
About friendship that is so real.
Did Anyone Ever Tell You that
Many Times When they were sad,
Your lovely voice made them smile a bit
In fact, It made me so happy.
Each time you send something
Sharing whatever you have,
There are No Words to Thank You
But Somebody thinks you're a great friend.
Did Anyone Ever Tell You
Just How Much They Love You
Well, My Dearest Friend
Today I am Telling You that
I love you so much.
You're a great friend,
My true friend,
No words can described them
How great you are.

Wine Story
An Abridged Story of Wine
The bottom of the nave used to be a lake's bed, but one night,
when moon was white as search light and the sky maroon,
the lake vanished. Dead fish and toenail clippings at the bottom,
but the soil was rich, and the people who used to fish for a living,
planted vine which bore healthy grapes, but grapes fermented
and wine was discovered. A drink that made them merry, they
sang, slapped flat stones together and made music.
But if drinking too much they ended fighting and used stones as
missiles, and given to arguing about the quality of snow that fell
the year before. In clay pots they sold red wine and became rich,
till Moslems came, forbad the making of wine, they planted pale
yellow orange trees instead. But the juice of sweet blue grapes
has an unstoppable allure it fills heart with music, the production
was moved to hidden dells in Alentejo. When Arabs, defeated by
Christian hordes, fled; Iberia had abundance of red wine but also
sugary orange juice.

Your Love Has Got A Handle On My Mind
Written by: lenny kravitz
Hey baby
There's something on my mind
Got to tell you
I never thought i'd find
Love that is simple and so kind
Love that is caring so divine
Your love has got a handle on my mind
Sweet as cherry
Fine like wine
Gonna love you 'till the end of time
Hey baby come put your arms in mine
Let's make love
'cause i need to take that ride
I'm on top of the world
'cause you're my baby and i'm your girl.
Your love has got a handle on my mind
Sweet as cherry
Fine like wine
Gonna love you 'till the end of time
Put you sweet lips over mine
And open wide
When we're together i just can't hide
'cause we've got a beautiful vibration
And we've got a beautiful situation
Your love has got a handle on my mind
Sweet as cherry
Fine like wine
Gonna love you 'till the end of time

Someday
someday
i like to taste again the glass of orange juice that
you gave me
on that Sunday afternoon
when we were left alone
in the house
of your aunt.
it was so sweet &
so refreshing..
.there is no other glass of orange juice like that
in my lifetime

I Ask You Friend
i ask you my friend
to take leave and give yourself a chance
take leave of that self
caused, self inflicted pains
to rise up from such
a depression
use your hands as lever
to move & take this
world back to its orbit
give yourself a chance to choose
love and happiness
the good and the
beautiful
surely my friend there are more things
to do in this life: in your backyard the flowers
are waiting to be watered
your roof needs some repairs
your faucets leak and need some
immediate attention for sealing
surely my friend fears are unfounded and
if there be foundations, there is a need now
to shatter them
surely my friend there are more important
feelings than fear and surrender
triumph waits patiently
and hope look
at you from
a distance
surely my friend, you must see how this house
must stand again you are the pillar that we lost
and all of us are waiting.
i ask you my friend to be the rebuilder
of all our dreams.
