America

Freedoms gravity dressed for the oppressed,
Long sailed to liberty’s harbour,
This land drinks the stream of new lifers,
So many souls on the path of opportune.

Since the constitution, amendments,
Washington, Lincoln’n’Kennedy
Forged hope to turn to reality the
Magnet that bonds a cosmopolitan nation.
.

Doughnuts’n’flapjacks coffee in the morn’,
The Irish policeman paces the square of time,
As the street of walls mints out money
To build route sixty-six to way out west.

The shining star of Hollywood and vine is
Far out shone by Capital hill,
As the plague of apartheid forever sealed
In darkened cage by a humanitarian bill.

Thankyou Mr Bell for the telephone,
Mr Ford to ring for expertise on
The production line to use for many things,
Now jalopies roll by the million for the working man.

Thankyou Mr Singer for sewing up our clothes,
Powered by Mr Edison, Wright Bros are waiting
To fly the world around itself, if only they could see
The stars and stripes waving from the moon.

Gates are open for helping lots in need,
In this twenty first century keep up your wonder boom,
This land drinks the stream of new lifers,
So many soles on the path of opportune.

Thankyou our Lord for sending Mr Obama
Who's sowing seeds of peace and wisdom,
Across the U-S of A and faraway lands
If every soul listens would'nt that be GRAND

Sunshine On Leith

My heart was broken, my heart was broken
Sorrow sorrow sorrow sorrow
My heart was broken, my heart was broken
You saw it, you claimed it
You touched it, you saved it
My tears are drying, my tears are drying
Thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou
My tears are drying, my tears are drying
Your beauty and kindness
Made tears clear my blindness
While Im worth my room on this earth
I will be with you
While the chief, puts sunshine on leith
Ill thank him for his work
And your birth and my birth.

I Want To Say Thanks For My Mother

I want to say Thanks for my Mother,

To me she taught how to Love one another;

With only one hand, to do the work she had to do,

But; she worked as if it was more hands than two.

She took us each Sunday to church and Sunday school,

And really cared to teach us children, the golden Rule;

That we need to Love God, and obey and Trust Him too,

Yes, if only she were here right now, I'd say to her thankyou.

My Mother taught us girls to learn, how to be truthful, also,

And how to read and also to Pray, and to others love to show;

She also taught us how to cook, to sew and knit as well,

These things is a lot for one hand lady, is what I can tell.

She was a foster Mother to many a child and baby, it's true,

Some with health problems, and that couldn't say thankyou;

Some had other difficulties, some were very bad as well,

But Mum certainly showed she loved them, oh yes! We could tell.

So Mum if you could have been here today, and read this now,

It tells you thanks for everything, I love you any how;

Sometimes we were naughty, played up when you were tired too,

So! Mum, I'm sorry for those times, and Mum I say Thankyou.

Am I?

Am I doing right?
Am I doing wrong?
What is the reason for this earth?
What is the importance of this life?
To whom do I belong?
Do I have any worth?
What is the solution to my strife?
How do I rid myself of my sin?

To these Questions,
Will I give,
The answer and reason,
For which to live?

Yes.
Yes I will.

Through God,
Will I,
My freedom win?

Yes.
Yes I will.

For God sent his only Son,
Through Him is my freedom,
It is won!

That only Son,
Jesus died,
On that cross,
Crucified.

He was nailed to a tree,
For you,
And for me,
At Calvary.

Now every sin,
And every transgression,
Has been forgiven.

A Cristian walk,
Now am I living

The only thing now left to do,

Is to humble your heart,
Bend your knees,
And bow your head
In succession-

And along with me,
Give this confession-

' Dear God, thankyou for sending your Son to earth,
Born in a manger, and of virgin birth,
For there was no room in the inn.

Thankyou for this undeserved love which I am gifted,
And by which the burden of sin is lifted.

Thankyou that Jesus was raised on the third day,
And that I, too, have been raised.

Truly, God is worthy to be praised!

Thankyou for your only Son,
Through whom the penalty of sin is paid-

Through Him,
My freedom made.

I have sinned,
And I am sincerely sorry.

I pray that You would come into my heart,
With all your strength, love, mercy, and glory.

Your servant and friend,
Now forever I shall be-

Because my sins are on nails of three-
Forever forgiven,
Hanging dead-
Crucified at Calvary.'

My faith in God,
It will rest-

Standing firm when it is put to the test.

My faith-
Yes,
It shall previal!

Satan's attacks
And temptations
Are of no avail!

Even if it should mean death,
My trust in God I will not deny!

For my name is written
In the Lamb's Book of Life.

Because of Jesus,
I'll go to Heaven high-

For God's Child,
Now-
Am I.

A Sunday Prayer of Thanks

Dear Father in Heaven, today I'm not going to ask anything of you.
I want to praise you Lord and give thanks for all that you do.

As of late Father I've asked you for many blessings and you have granted many of them Father. You helped my daughter find her way and open a wonderful art shop, oh Lord I thank you. You kept my children out of harms way Lord and showed my grandson the error of his ways bringing him back on track Lord, I thank you. You granted my grandson, my daughter and myself a trip to Nova Scotia this year Lord, I thank you Father. You made sure my mother isn't suffering with her leg Father. You saw to it that David Harris came home from the hospital and is recovering nicely, I thank you Father. You took care of some issues for my friends Shelley and her new husband Michael Lord, I thank you.

Father God, I'm sure I've missed some, but you know what they are and that I want to thank you on their behalf.
Father God, thankyou for all the wonderful things you do and most of all Father, thankyou for your precious son 'Jesus'.

Things shake me up and down
And throughout all of my temptation you coe over unanounced
And remove all of my dirty miseries
That is why I am gonna say thankyou very much

During the sunrise you are my sunny wave
Duringthe hotter middday you are my shadow

I'm going to take your hand now Suicide.
Please please lead me to freedom.
Release me from my fears.
Please no more tears.

Today I'm leaving this world,
Suicide has shown me the way.
Told me sadness I need not bear.
Dont need to be a burden no more.

Suicide told me go on,
Go on take them pills,
|You'll soon be free.

Now I'm on my way with suicide
The pills taking over me
Sleepiness is at hand.
The peace and tranquility

You suicide are my best friend,

Stranded At The Moonbase

A long way up in light-years,
Just a pinpoint in space,
In a century of planetary storms,
Stranded at the moonbase,
The air is getting low.
The air is getting low.
Looking out at the roof-window,
I've seen many strange things,
From shooting stars to Stars 'n' Stripes
Thought I'd caught a glimpse of golden wings.
The air is getting low,
The air is getting low,
The air is getting low,
The air is getting low.
I got the vision of a big white dove.
I've heard the creaking of the pearly gates above.
I'm wond'ring why the big white dove
Is keeping me waiting, keeping me waiting,
Keeping me waiting, keeping me waiting,
Keeping me waiting, keeping me waiting.
Looking way down below me,
The worlds are all awhirl-whirly.
Won't you come along beside?
This place waits for company.
The air is getting low.
The air is getting low.
I leave my limbs behind me.
As I'm being lifted
Out into the, into the
Spiritual boom-boom abyss.
The air is getting low.
The air is getting low.
The air is getting low.
The air is getting low.
I got the vision of a big white dove.
I've heard the creaking of the pearly gates above.
I'm wond'ring why the big white dove
Is keeping me waiting, keeping me waiting,
Keeping me waiting, keeping me waiting,
Keeping me waiting, keeping me waiting.

The Lasso Of Love

Love walks behind us every day until we find someone,
Then throws its lasso right away so that the spell's begun!
That's why we linger for a while when really we could leave!
And yet we're captured by a smile with scarcely time to breathe!
Our eyes are drawn as though transfixed, now focussed on one face!
At first we stare with feelings mixed... then all falls into place!
Too late! It's happened! There it is: it started with a sigh...
The guy's now pining for a kiss before he says goodbye!
Her eyes are twinkling, yes, they are! Love's lasso then pulls tight!
So that's how come they can't go far! That's why they're so polite!
It's 'Thankyou! ' this and 'Thankyou! ' that and smiles from ear-to-ear!
He's working hard with all the chat! Yes, something's going on here!
Good God! He's even asked her out! Good God! The girl said, 'Yes! '
Only love could bring this about, that lasso sure can bless!

History In The Making

history was in the making on this very day
where Barack Obama became the 44th president of the u.s.a.
for two years he campaigned across this nation of ours
and brought to light, graft and political power.

he brought to light that it was 'time for change'
and this country will never be the same.
he tore down the walls of discrimination
and oppression in this land
and told america it was time to take a stand.
he showed the people that freedom can ring
and made this nation stand up and sing.

no other inauguration in the history of man
could compare to this in our promised land.
the world had been watching every move we make
of that there is no mistake.
and the only thing that this world could see
'was abe lincoln sitting in his chair'
happy faces every where.

the dreams of simple men this day came to life
when the first black president
stood there with his wife.
Lincoln, Kennedy, King, to name just a few
have finally gotten to see their dreams come true.
equality is what we sought
and for equality is what we fought.
this was the dream of this nation
this dream is our salvation
so america we stand with pride
for in this land freedom rides.

Our Constitution’s Birthday

Our Constitution’s Birthday
(September 17,2008)

In the year, Seventeen eighty-seven
Those thirty-nine, changed our History
They signed that piece of parchment
The Laws of, the Land of the Free.

In more than two hundred twenty years
It has gone through a few changes
That’s not, an easy thing to get done
For, all of our lives, it rearranges.

The First through Tenth Amendments
Are known as our Bill of Rights
And many times, they were in danger
But, the People, usually won those fights.

Sometimes, those people in power
Try to change them, for their gain
Sometimes they will just ignore them
Like we’ve seen, time and again.

They are our only, real protection
With a high and terrible price to pay
If we don’t keep fighting for them
There’s some, would take them all away.

Other Amendments, Thirteen and Fifteen
Abolished Racial Suffrage and Slavery
Supposed to give promised Rights
To all of those promised, Liberty.

The Sixteenth, allowed for Income Tax
And as we know, it has many a flaw
Some say, that it was never Ratified
That, it was never made, a Legal Law.

The Eighteenth, Prohibition of Alcohol
Which was, another legal blunder
With organized crime borne of it
And, the Rule of Law torn, asunder.

The Nineteenth, said Women could Vote
After a very long, contentious fight
Just look at what those Ladies have done
Since, they got their, American Right.

Then, a Repeal of Prohibition
Came with the Twenty-first
In most places, booze flowed freely
To quench America’s, hearty thirst.

The Twenty-second said, Two Terms
Was, all a President could serve
But, as we know, for some, one
Was one more, than they deserved.

The Twenty-sixth said we could Vote
When reaching Eighteen years of age
Since they could fight and die for us
Every time, we had a War to wage.

Those great words of our Constitution
Have served our Country long, and well
Will they withstand the test of time
Or will History show, our Nation, fell?

If we don’t protect them with our life
If we bow to those powers that, be
If we let them twist those words around
One sad day, we’ll be no longer, Free.

We can’t let our precious Bill of Rights
Fail, to protect us all, as they must do
We can’t let one man, or group of men
Twist them into something, they construe.

Though, our Constitution is not perfect
Our Founding Fathers knew, this so
And, “In God We Trust”, is not enough
Our Freedom depends, on where, we go.

We must each, defend those Freedoms
From outside foes, and those, within
It’s, We, the People, wield the power
To lose this battle, which, we must, win.

So, On this Constitution Day
Let’s each, pay the price we owe
To uphold those words of Wisdom
Penned upon that parchment, long ago.

Most Beautiful Woman In The World

She is the most beautiful woman in the world.
Yet! She doesn’t have fancy clothes, or makeup.
She doesn’t even have a first name, nor does she speak.
But people come from all over the world just to see
Our beautiful MISS LIBERTY.

She sits in our harbor and greets all human race
From the air, land, or from the sea
She has become a part of me.
She fills every heart with a warm glow
And day to day she puts on a show.

She stands on a mound with her arm held high
Holding freedoms torch to the sky.
Her robe is the robe of justice
And she wears it quite well
Look at her closely and you can tell.

Freedom is not really free - for you may
Have to fight for liberty
Just open your eyes and look around
Communist nations have fallen to the ground
Arab countries are fighting for their rights
And it is a long and perilous flight
But freedoms bell will forever ring
it is the one and only lasting thing.

The sunlight of God

The sunlight of Gods love,

Oh such strength, from above;

Taking care of each daughter and son,

Thankyou Lord, for the care given under the Sun.

The sunlight of God, the immeasurable love,

He gives and gives, and sends peace like a dove;

Peace that passeth all understanding,

Thanks to You, for not letting me get demanding.

The sunlight of God, You shine Your light,

Helping us to see, our wrongs, and make them right;

Not allowing us to grow away from You,

Thank You Lord, you help me learn too.

The sunlight of God, is where I will live,

When my life's work is ended, a home He'll give;

I long to be living in God's presence one day,

Thank you Lord, for strength in me, is what I say.

Shaking Through

Could it be that one small voice doesnt count in the world?
Yellow like a geisha gown, denial all the way
Could this by three be turned? honor marches on.
Yellow like a geisha gown, denial all the way
Shaking through, opportune. shaking through, opportune.
Are we grown way too far?
Taking after rain
Yellow like a geisha gown, denial all the way
Shaking through, opportune. shaking through, opportune.
In my life.
Is that a steal?

Yellow like a geisha gown, denial all the way
Shaking through, opportune. shaking through, opportune.

True Liberty

The day in which one celebrates, Independence of a union of states,
Independence from powers outside; freedom that was once denied,
The freest nation in this world, a point that others sometimes herald,
Causing many who are weary in heart, to come here for a fresh start.

A day of real joyous celebration, all across this now powerful nation,
As our voices together are raised, with full hearts a nation is praised,
Festive fireworks are always planned, in many cities across this land,
Celebrating what many of us see, as the greatest nation in all history.

Liberty we celebrate by proclamation, extends to all within this nation,
However that liberty extends only, to the borders of this dear country,
Beyond the borders and the sea, the nation’s people may not be free,
When many travel to other lands, freedoms turn into other’s demands.

Demands which turn into bondage, leaving this land of great privilege,
Privileges that others only dream of, as they look to this land we love,
A land that is so blessed by God, many agree, on this day with a nod,
But, forgetting Him most of the year; living so privileged, without fear.

There’s a freedom many don’t know, as their freedoms for them grow,
Liberty, from the bondage of sin, that captivates our land from within,
That freedom which we celebrate, doesn’t free men from Satan’s hate,
As the Devil leads a war against God, all across this land that we trod.

Freedom from such an evil foe, comes only when the Savior we know,
Who left all the Glory of Eternity, coming to earth to set captives free,
The only true freedom on this earth, comes to man, by a spiritual birth,
Through the Liberty in Jesus Christ, when in Him they receive New Life.

Orange and yellow and purple and green
The lights of the city at night set the scene
Stumble through the bars of forget-me-not lane
Sparkle through the glitter but dont show the pain
In hollywood
Underneath a golden palm tree
Hollywood
Come to the party the drinks are on me
For free
Heartbeats echo through a cavern of love
Come to the tavern Ill meet you up above
Soaring through the heavens, what a fabulous ride
But everybodys heading for the same place to hide
In hollywood
Underneath a golden palm tree

Come to the party the drinks are on me

Never Forget

When the rain falls
I watch the grey clouds
When my friend smiles
I look for sadness
When I watch a romance movie
I watch the tears that fall
Why can't I see the good?

When I look at the beauty around me
I always look for a flaw
When someone is nice to me
I wonder what their motive is
When something good happens
I wait for something bad
Then you came along...

You showed me what it was to cry
You showed me what it was to laugh
You showed me what it was to feel
You showed me what it was to love
You showed me what it was to be loved...

Now you are here
I can't lose you
You are my light
My star, my rock
If you were to leave me
I would be empty again!

I am worried that when you leave me
I will forget to feel
SO please don't go away
For you are my strength
My happiness, my love
You are my friend
And always will be!

Thankyou for being here
When I need you most
And thankyou for trusting me
When I did't trust myself
I love you
Always have, always will...

Never forget that...

Long Goodbye

You are always there for me.
When things are tough
When things are rough.
You always have that hidden smile
You can always see it a mile.
You can make me laugh
When all i want to do is cry
You make me change my mind
When all i want to do is die.
You carry my weight, on your shoulders.
You hold me, in your arms
You remember the good times,
You remember the bad times.
You smile at the good ones
Cry at the bad ones.
You are always there for me.
When i'm down,
You help me up
When i'm a fool,
you make up for it
When i'm sorry
You except my apology,
When everything in my world is crashing down, when there is nothing left around, when i can't hear a sound, your there for me.
When all i want to do is cry, when all i want to do is die, when all i want to do is fly, you hold me down to earth.
Thankyou, for smiling those gray clouds away
Thankyou for laughing my pain away
Thankyou for holding me close
Thankyou for choosing me of all people
Thankyou for excepting me
Thankyou for allowing me to be me
Thankyou for letting me cry on your shoulder.
Thankyou for being my bolder to life. Where u can roll away my problams or perhaps smoosh them.
Thankyou for making me laugh, even just for a little while.
Thankyou for being you.
I love who you are.
I love your face, i love your smile
I love your eyes i see awhile
I love your smell, i love your color
I love your toes, i love your fingers.
I love your heart, i love your chest
I love your legs, i love your arms.
I love your soul, so pure and white
I love your feathers and crown that shine bright.
I love your innocence, i love your happiness
I love your laugh, i love your cry
I love how, you don't want me to die
I love how you care, i love how you hold me
I love your infedelity. I love your inner-self most being
I love who you are. I love how you are.
I love how you act. I love you.
I love you. Yourself, your whole.
I hated the way you treated me.
I hated being ignored
I hated being pushed away
I hated being treated that way
I hated feeling liek i don't belong
I hated that stupid love song
I hated it when u acted,
As though i wasn't your love.
I hated when we didn't flirt.
I hated when we didn't smile
I hated when we faught
I hated it when we were going out at times.
I hated it when i felt sad.
I hated it when you were mad
I hated it when i was mad
I hated it.. i hated it. i hated it.
I love it now.
I love how you treat me
As though we're going out
When we're not
I hated when once you had me
You thought u didn't have to act as though you wanted me, .
I love it now, how you act as though i'm all you want at times.
I hate showing the way i feel.
I hate being sad or crying.
I hate the way i treated you
I hate the way i was mean to you
I hate the way i've been treated int he past by many people
I hate the way i was so cruel to you.
I hated it.
I hate the way where i subdo-ed and cut myself
I hate the way i did it three times.
I hate the way it bled so much
I hate the way its going to leave scars
I hate the way it made me feel
I love the way it released the pain
I hate the way i had to use that method
I hate the way i broke a promise
I hate the way i broke alot.
I hate the way i miss it all
I hate the way it all went by so fast
I love the way some things happened the way they did
I love the way how i got to be so close to you
I love the way i learned how to love
I love the way i could love you
I love the way we spent all that time together.
I hate the way i miss you.
I hate the way i get jealous
I hate the way we don't talk
I hate the way i feel hatred and disgust
I hate the way that i left those memories in the dust.
I love the way you are.
I love who you are.
I love how we planned to go to the Hyatt
and i love how... you might take me
I wish i could go there now
into the future and be with you then
i wish i could make my wishes come true
but i stopped wishing upon the stars.

I'm sorry for everything i thought was right.
I'm sorry fighting with you every single night.
I'm sorry for crying
I'm sorry for dying
I'm sorry for making you sad
I'm sorry for making you mad
I'm sorry for creating this pain
I'm sorry for being insane
I'm sorry for making a mess
I'm sorry i'm making this confess
I'm sorry i was mean to you
I'm sorry i yelled at you
I'm sorry i ever got mad at you
I'm sorry i cryed on you
I'm sorry i scared you.
I'm sorry i loved you
I'm sorry for regreting the love i gave you
I'm sorry for treating you those ways
I'm sorry for calling you gay
I'm sorry for calling your dumb
I'm sorry my mistake was becomming numb
I'm sorry for making all those mistakes
I'm sorry for putting your feelings at steak
I'm sorry for calling you stupid
I'm sorry for being rude
I'm sorry foir being crued
I'm sorry for being me.
I'm sorry for all these sorry's
I'm sorry for being annoying
I'm sorry for my life
I'm sorry for my feelings towards you
i'm sorry for the pain i put you through
I'm sorry for being the worst girlfriend
I'm sorry for barely being a friend.
I'm sorry for smiling
I'm sorry for crying
I'm sorry for laughing
I'm sorry for my anger
I'm sorry i ever met you, for putting you through all that pain.
I'm sorry i ever kissed you, for making you go through all that trouble.
I'm sorry for being me.
I'm sorry for missing you
I'm sorry for all the things i said, every little bit, i wish i was dead.
I'm sorry for cutting myself, slitting my wrist.
I'm sorry for lying to you. Saying it was my cat on my arm.
I'm sorry i can't help you right now.
I'm sorry i can't help myself right now
I'm sorry for thinking when i was crying, that i should just jump off the roof or fall off a cliff.
I'm sorry for my dirty thoughts.
I'm sorry for my hatred meanings
I'm sorry for ignoring you.
I'm sorry for the pain i put you through.
I'm sorry for making you cry
I'm sorry for breaking up with you.
I'm sorry for being who i am again.
I'm sorry i wish i could die
I'm sorry for wishing i could get hurt
I'm sorry for wishing she'd say no to you.
I'm sorry for being selfish
I'm sorry for carrying this weight
I'm sorry for bearing you this burden
I'm sorry for not wanting to talk to you
I'm sorry for always been mad at you.
I'm sorry i was ever mean to you, for pointing out your mistakes.
I'm sorry.. I'm sorry. I'm sorry..
Please forgive me.

National Anniversay Ode

Ho! for the day in the whole year the brightest!
Long may it live in the heart of the nation!
Long may it be ere the names are forgotten
That boldly were signed to the grand declaration!
Shout, sons of liberty! shout for the one land free
Under the sun!
On this thrice blessèd day its bonds were struck away,
Its thongs undone!

Ho! for our banner, the emblem of freedom!
What can arouse a true hero's devotion-
What like the Stars and Stripes, floating above us?
Queen of all lands, and the peer of the ocean.
Oh! it is fair to see, oh! it is dear to me,
Flag of the brave!
Time's wheel shall cease to move, true hearts shall cease to love,
Ere it cease to wave.

But there's a blemish now staining our banner!
The bright stars are dimmed, and the fair stripes are spotted,
With the tears of the drunkard's wife, mother, and children,
With hot tears of shame is our flag blurred and blotted.
Victims of tyranny, strike till our land is free
From King Alcohol;
Strike down his whelps of sin, rum, brandy, beer, and gin
Strangle them all.

Up to the contest, and wipe out this blemish!
Columbia's son, and Columbia's daughter,
God speed the day when the one 'Land of Freedom'
Shall add to its title the 'Land of Cold Water'!
Three cheers for Columbia, and this, her natal day!
God bless the right,
And guard from a traitor's hand, this our beloved land,
And the Red, Blue, and White!

July 4th, 1871.
