A Man Of Many Parts

It was a man of many parts,
Who in his coffer mind
Had stored the Classics and the Arts
And Sciences combined;
The purest gems of poesy
Came flashing from his pen--
The wholesome truths of History
He gave his fellow men.

He knew the stars from 'Dog' to Mars;
And he could tell you, too,
Their distances--as though the cars
Had often checked him through--
And time 'twould take to reach the sun,
Or by the 'Milky Way,'
Drop in upon the moon, or run
The homeward trip, or stay.

With Logic at his fingers' ends,
Theology in mind,
He often entertained his friends
Until they died resigned;
And with inquiring mind intent
Upon Alchemic arts
A dynamite experiment--
. . . . . . .
A man of many parts!

Lost Friends

In youth I moved from place to place
And left my friends at each behind,
And when I think of each lost face,
My thoughts to distant parts retrace,
Where, if I went, I know I'd find,
Each face would now with age be lined.

And when I think of those lost friends,
To me they are all fixed in time,
My mind, for them does time suspend,
No ravages of time offend;
They still to me are in their prime;
That hill of age they've yet to climb.

And if sometimes these friends so few
Do think of me in parts far flung;
If they still see me as they knew
Me when we said that last adieu;
This memory to which they've clung,
In this at least, I'm ever young.

Lines And Tied Ends

Lines they say
Go on for, forever and a day
When I was but a youth I would say ok
But not today
For an expression comes to mind... how fey
For with this expression I must inveigh
For I have heard 'This is the end of the line'
But this defies logic and math
Maybe the end of a path
But not a line
Interesting it would take some time
To understand this, so I use this concept in a rhyme
This rhyme baleful in nature and maybe vile
Ugly like bile
Yet I need to tell
This story to stay well
The ends are tied, they are done, the ends are tied
Those parts of me have already partialy died
This is the end of the line, it will end
This is all there is
It's over my dear, my heart it seems, I will have to mend
Though the end is not mine
Though it seems
It is from you, you will cause it, no matter how fine
You will be the one to say the word 'no'
And then after that answer
I will never be the same, I'll die suddenly as if from a once dormant cancer
I promise you this end will be the halcyon end, the sleep i desired

We be Dragon's...

Liberty comes when the mind is free,
From the daily grind of reality.
Minds shall soar to heights anew,
This is where we live both me and you.

Reality for us cannot comprehend,
Impossible is possible until the end.
Knowledge is meaningless when few can see,
Yet all could behold if they set the mind free.

For we are in the books and live in the arts,
In the buildings the pictures and other parts.
Search within your heart where burns a fire,
For we be the dragon's of your heart's desire...

Spread the love... The peace will follow...

Bushido

[Bushido]

1._ Justice
Apply justice, when time is right.
Crooked, unfair actions to denounce,
Be ready to accurately strike.
Before action be wise, on balance.
-

2._ Courage
Courage is virtuous on righteousness,
a sacrifice to unworthiness is odd,
defend correct values with ableness,
admitting mistakes with mind bold.
-

3._ Benevolence
Love, affection, sympathy for another,
combined with an excellence of mind,
highest soul's attributes and character,
are Princely, manly virtues and kind.
-

4._ Politeness
Politeness, courtesy, excellent manners,
abide in a man's soul. But a poor virtue,
when actuated by fear or to elude others.
It must stem Sympathy towards truth.
-

5._ Veracity
Truth is a manly act, falsity dishonors,
lying is a cowardly act and unworthy,
A man's word is enough to guarantee honors,
as veracity is analogous to worthy.
-

6._ Honor
An honorable person acts humbly in manners.
Lack of honor, disrespectfully expands.
Qualities of honor, are the Bushido banners,
and a valid cure to soul's and mind's scars.
-

7._ Loyalty
A man must know to be loyal to his family,
teachers, fellow men, arts and sciences.
Never forget who lifted him to act aptly,
when qualities are applied on issuances.

Facing facets of timely reminders.

I wound my way through the maze of me
unaware of the unseen company

Walking in parallels, they turned as did I
Appeared and then vanished in the blink of a why.

The man and the boy and the being without
as one, on a quest, on a question of doubt

Never finding the truths, for the truths are well masked
Insufficient heed paid, to the questions we asked.

Still I knew they were there
Still I knew they were me
Still I knew if we met
We would never agree.

For, for all they have learned
stored behind the brick wall
of the mind’s ebbing tide,
there’s more
we can't recall.

Moody

Have you seen
When he makes
Love to you…

Sometimes,
You want to be
Touched all over

Sometimes,
Only the upper

Sometimes,
Only the lower

Sometimes,
All the parts

Sometimes,
Just bits and
Parts…

Why does
Your mind
Make you so

Dancehall

You could lose your mind
easier than you would like to think
your best friend could up and leave you
playing tricks and cold deceive you
standing there people stare
let down by your own mind
Day of appreciation
for ways your mind has not yet let you down
the truth is that we will all go
maybe five minutes after the show
you know you are a shooting star
a blazing flash then gone
Are we advancing
or a collapsing visionary
are we really here
are we imaginary
as my thoughts separates
into the many frayed parts
torn shattered bits
my mind falling apart
Are we advancing
or a collapsing visionary
are we really here
are we imaginary
as my thoughts separates
into the many frayed parts
torn shattered bits
my mind falling apart
What if there was such a thing
what if theres such a thing as dependence day
there's no self congratulation
just a day of appreciation
quietly humbly
for things that have not gone wrong
Imagine the frustration
of losing bearing of the simplest thing
so come with your best
and do your worst before
you cant remember what you came for
Are we advancing
or a collapsing visionary
are we really here
are we imaginary
as my thoughts separates
into the many frayed parts
torn shattered bits
my mind falling apart
Blazing out the mains
hungry flames consume all that I see
Are we advancing
or a collapsing visionary
are we really here
are we imaginary
as my thoughts separates
into the many frayed parts
torn shattered bits
my mind falling apart

I Cant Read You

Im never shy but this is different
I cant explain the way Im feeling tonight
Im losing control of my heart
Tell me what can I do to make you happy
Nothing I ever say seems to come out right
Im losing control of my heart
And I wish that I could be
Another better part of me
Cant hear what your thinking
Maybe if I just let go
Youd open up your heart
But I cant read you
I wish I knew whats going through your mind
Cant touch you, your heart defending I get left behind
I cant reach you
I wish I knew whats going through your mind
Cant touch you, your heart protecting I get left behind
No no no no no
No no no no no
I like you so much Im acting stupid
I cant play the game Im all intense and alive
Im losing control of my heart
Im not supposed to be this nervous
I should play my hand all cool and calm
I cant breathe
Im losing control of my heart
And I wish that you could see
The other better parts of me
Feel this fire Im feeling
Then youd see me in control
And baby then youd know
But I cant read you
I wish I knew whats going through your mind
Cant touch you, your heart defending I get left behind
I cant reach you
I wish I knew whats going through your mind
Cant touch you, your heart protecting I get left behind

Art For Arts Sake

Gimme your body
Gimme your mind
Open your heart
Pull down the blind
Gimme your love gimme it all
Gimme in the kitchen gimme in the hall
Art for arts sake
Money for gods sake
Art for arts sake
Money for gods sake
Gimme the readys
Gimme the cash
Gimme a bullet
Gimme a smash
Gimme a silver gimme a gold
Make it a million for when I get old
Art for arts sake
Money for gods sake
Art for arts sake
Money for gods sake
Money talks so listen to it
Money talks to me
Anyone can understand it
Money cant be beat oh no
When you get down, down to the root
Dont give a damn dont give a hoot
Still gotta keep makin the loot
Chauffeur driven
Gotta make her quick as you can
Give her lovin make you a man
Get her in the palm of your hand
Bread from heaven
Gimme a country
Where I can be free
Dont need the unions
Strangling me
Keep me in exile the rest of my days
Burn me in hell but as long as it pays
Art for arts sake
Money for gods sake
Art for arts sake
Money for gods sake
Art for arts sake
Money for gods sake

A Song for the Arts

What ever happened to the ARTS?
hurrah for thunder
The illuminates of time preserved teachings
spanning from the aesthetic arts
to the esoteric and philosophical arts.

Historians take pride in moribund conventions
with the aid of a pen, they live in several millennia ago.
They take pride in the classics and internal relations
they are the key to the future.

Linguists take pride in language
they unravel the mysteries of syntax
they drown in the realm of morphology
they are crowned with phonology
and they are talented with semantics.

Musicologists take pride in musical aestheticism
they unravel the mysteries of dance
they take pride in the act of directing
they are the enchantress of the arts.

Thespians take pride in the theatre
they live a live of more than a hundred people
they anticipate the study and criticism of drama
they wallow in the art of direction and dancing
they are the voice of art.

The fine artist has ink running though his veins
has impressionism to give him confidence
the brush to give him style
the clay to give him muse
the cloth to give him money.

The philosophers are logical
they are analytical and metaphysical
they are ethical and factual
they are mathematical and pragmatic
they are intelligentsia.

The grammarians are barbarians
they trade on words and play on words
they are superficially intelligent and
pragmatically conscious. They know the
semantics of life and understand
the phonology of cosmic vibrations
they are endowed with creativity
they are imbibed by the conscience of fair play
their brainwaves are always at a high beta and
their mind is on a linguistic frequency always.

Finally goes the literans
the mad men of abstract knowledge
the illuminates of the unknown
the pride of classical antiquity
the fluidity of all the arts put in one
the spontaneous overflow of powerful emotions
they are blessed with history, grammar, philosophy, theatre,
music, language
they are the root of art.

long live the arts and humanities...

the Self

the self is a mountain
you can go exploring
some parts are not reachable
and some parts so riveting
you just wish to sing them songs
some parts are caves you can shout
and hear your own echoes
some parts are a make belief
haunted house you can frighten yourself with
some parts are chambers of
mysteries you can get lost on your own

Cant Get Her Out

I cant get her out
I cant get her out of my mind
I cant get her out
I cant get her out of my mind
Everybodyd try to tell
But no I wouldnt listen
Id go ahead, put my arm around her
I had to squeeze her, I had to kiss her
Now I cant get her out
I cant get her out of my mind
Oh I cant get her out
I cant get her out of my mind
If I said go out shed daydream
Didnt mean a thing to me
Its the kind of thing I thought might never happen
You see I thought I was invincible, I couldnt see why
You cant get her out
I cant get her out of my mind
No cant get her out
I cant get her out of my mind
Its the kind of thing boy, you think could never happen
My friends would say, stay way from her
I said, boy, have you kissed it? boy, have you seen her?
I could let her hear their words
No I cant get her out
I cant get her out of my mind
Cant get her out
I cant get her out of my mind
I cant get her out
I cant get her out of my mind
I cant get her out
Cant get her out of my mind

Mutual Itch One Lonely Night

this mutual each we have
one lonely night
when the moon sails in the
black sky
and the stars are too near
like lilies to the sailboat
on the placid lake,

i scratch my itch
you scratch yours
but what about our backs
those parts that i cannot reach
and you cannot reach
too

we follow the natural law
i'll scratch your back
and you scratch mine
no more no less

we are just
but friends,

tonight

Brokenhearted Melody

I knew a woman
Treated me kind
Gave her all my dreams
Though she didn't know
Or if she did, she didn't say

I knew a woman
Mysterious and fine
Gaver her all my love
Seemed like, in a nick of time
But she didn't stay, didn't stay

I knew a woman
Soft and gentle
Stayed on my mind, on my mind
No need for sympathy
Maybe another day

I knew a woman
I never could let go
She was in my heart
No matter where I'd go
Come what may, come what may

I knew a woman
Think of her all the time
She couldn't feel my love
She's gone, no worries
Don't remind, Don't remind

Got to go now
Running out of time, runnin' out of time
A memory in my heart and mind
Would have loved her
For all time, for all time, don't remind

One day a sweet angel's going to find me
Rest this weary heart of mine
Going to love me for all time
Everything's going to somehow work out fine
Hope I've still got time, pray I've still got time

The Moon Within Me

there it was..the moon
lying in the shallow rain water
a shaky moon..never
very sure of itself

what would happen to this moon....
i thought.....tomorrow
when the sun would drink off this shallow
what would happen to this moon tomorrow

ooh.....silly fellow
the moon would be safe up above..actually...
actually that was'nt the question in my mind
it was the astonishment that the scene left behind

the milky white moon was milky white
even when lying in that dirty shallow state
like i soppose the ' GOD ' in me....even
even inspite of the dirty shallow within me

Don't Tell Me Mind Is Going Away

DON'T TELL ME MIND IS GOING AWAY

Don't tell me mind is going away
I know it is here and I want it to stay
If it somehow leaves me by surprise
I rather wish I'd completely died.

Don't tell me mind is going away
I want it to carry me to the grave
We'll lie down there together and sleep
I and my mind in unrivaled peace

Out Of My Mind (live)

Atlanta, Georgia, 4/2/94) ("Not For You" B-side)
Out of my mind, yeah... (2x)
All of the time, yeah...
Wish you could help me mister
Wish you could lift me up
Wish you could pack my parachute mister
Wish you could pull me up
Oh, the winds of change, I'm stuck beneath the rain...
Oh, I wish you could help me up, yeah...
Out of my mind...
Out of my mind, yeah...
Oh, once inside, I'm out of my mind...out...
Out of my mind...
Out of my mind, yeah...
Oh, once inside, I'm out of my mind...
Wish you could help me, give me a pill
A-just a little drink that I could swill
A little something, anything, anything, I'll try all...
I ain't got nowhere to go from here
I'm just about this far from drowning in my very own tears
Out of my mind, yeah...
Out of my mind...
Oh, once inside, I'm out of my mind, yeah...
Out of my mind, yeah...
Out of my mind...
I don't feel so hot...
Out of my mind...
Where do I go? Where do I stay?
I got no place to lay in the hay
Where do I go to soothe my head?
Guess I'll turn on music instead
Where do I see? Where do I shine?
No one wants to take my mind...
Where do I go? How do I feel?
Guess I'll waste away in here
Out of my mind... (11x)
Out of my mind every single time

Valleys Of The Mind

Search the dark channels of your mind
Where anything you seek you shall find.
Hidden feelings and thoughts
that you felt had been erased
Is now in another place.

A picture frame of everything that
you’ve been through- is stored in there too.
Your mind is a library of knowledge
Where everything is stored for future use.
It holds your hopes, your dreams, your ups and downs
This is where it’ll all be found.

Loves you’ve lost, and loves you’ve gained
No two are ever the same.
Take a ride through your mind
Of different places and different times.
Then there are times when you can peek
Outside of your mind, and have your life become defined.

The valleys of the mind is a complex thing
But with each turn a memory it brings.
When you take a vacation from the
Stresses of the times, it’s because
You’ve had it in your mind

The Multiverse

An eternal mystery
Has been discovered
It is now reality
Never say never
I've been working hard
Down in my basement
I don't know where I am
Where I've been sent
Now if I get it right
I'm trapped in the other side
Esoteric questions
Have been answered
What really matters
Is the anti-matter
Now am I lost in time?
Or caught in the other side
In parts or whole
I'm in this hole
Will I spend my life?
Locked in the other side
The Multiverse
I've moved the time from space
Based on action
I've made only one mistake
I tried it on
If I get it right
I'm trapped in this other side
In parts or whole
I'm all alone
Am I lost in time?
Or caught in this other side
It's in my head
I might be dead
Am I losing my mind?
Locked in this other side
I am losing my mind
Forever, this other side
The Multiverse
