Your Presence

Reality – THIS reality in which YOU live – is more beautiful
than the dream, I am content, it would seem you can work
wonders with your presence, when you are there, the sun
comes out, when you speak, you open my heart, when you
pronounce, my mind wakes up, with your sonorous voice
in my ears, I understand the meaning of living this life

Thank you for teaching me to trust by being trustworthy
and holding my hand when my fears held me over the
abyss, thank you for turning back as I fell trying to follow

Each of us are flowers in the garden of life we bloom,
We all bring a different light to brighten the daily gloom.
We all posess great potential to inspire our fellow man,
To offer peace and love is a choice we all should plan.
We can each bring joy to a life filled with sadness,
Just through a soft touch or word spoken in gladness.
We can also bring peace to those with a troubled mind,

The light...

Tearing, ripping, gnawing at my reality,
Gone, the happy filters of my dream world,
Reality imploding upon it's own lies,
My dreams vanished in puddles of blood,
I cannot see a sense to it anymore,
What sin did I commit to deserve this pain?
Once more chance has denied me love,
And in the depths of my pain hunger burns,
The love I crave so deeply evades me,
Yet time and again I make the same mistake,
Just another mark of death upon my soul,
But my heart shall not admit defeat,
For the price of love is worth all that I am,
And deep within this dreamers heart,

The Dragon's wrath
It burns my soul
It takes my breath away
And in its shadow

Dual Personality

Sometimes I try to concentrate.
My mind decides to deviate
and gaily goes its sweet way
Against my will I have to say.

Although I love to fantasise
I often find to my surprise.
My mind is playing tricks on me.
Accepting as reality.

Strange things which cannot possibly
exist outside of fantasy.
Perhaps my mind is free to go
to places that I cannot know.

Bound by my frame of reference.
To where there is no difference.
Reality and fantasy
can coexist quite happily.

Am I my mind? Is my mind me?
It seems to me quite possibly.
My mind does not depend on me.
An independent entity

which is quite free to come and go.
I am convinced it must be so.
Although I know I’m always me.
My mind remains a mystery.

Am I my mind? Is my mind me?
I ponder on it frequently.
It seems to work efficiently
but how it does still baffles me.

Burning World...

As the demons of ignorance run amock,
Those who would put actions above thought.
Those who think of self before the hurt of others,
No effort put into improving what has gone before.
Only the gathering of meaningless posessions,
The world we know crumbles around us, yet we allow it.
The goodness of life burns while evil grows stronger,
The lessons of the past undone in mere moments.
To be replaced by empty hearts and empty minds,

Darling part of my life it wasnt very pretty. see, I was born and raised
In the slums of the city.it was a 1 room shack and slept 10 other children
Beside me.we hardly had enough food or room to sleep. it was hard times. i
Needed some thing to ease my troubled mind.
Listen, my father didnt know the meaning of work. he disrespected mama and
Treated us like dirt.i left home seeking a job that I never did find.depressed
And down hearted I took to cloud nine.
