The' IN 'place for M lady Marcy
A string quartet plays melodies
beneath the shade of potted palms
like resurrected memories
Which added quaintness to the charms
of London’s latest rendezvous
The place to see an be seen
by those in search of somewhere to
be players on the latest scene.
It looked as though no time had passed
since Edward occupied the throne.
As if transported from the past
it had a glamour of its own.
Recalling a more gracious age
when everybody knew their place
Providing posers with a stage
on which to preen and show their face.
Though it looks old it was brand new.
Instructed to spare no expense
Its decorator knew how to
create an air of opulence.
Designed to let nonentities
blessed with more wealth than common sense
pretend to be celebrities
and to display their affluence.
The venture was a great success
it was the only place to be.
Demand grew greater never less.
Which only proved one thing to me.
That Barnum’s dictum was correct.
There are new mugs born every day
ready and willing to accept.
To cut a dash you have to pay.

Overture -- Cotton Avenue
A red sun came rolling down a grey sky
And the frogs and dogs and night birds then
Started up singing sweet country lullaby
You see that patch of city lights-
Somewhere in there's Cotton Avenue-
That's where I'm going to take myself tonight
With a spit shine on my dancing shoes
If you got a place like that to go
You just have to go there
If you got no place special
Well then, you just go no place special
I guess it's just the summer in the young blood
Ripe and juicy in the young blood
Teasing to go down to ...
Cotton Avenue
To hear the shiny shiny music
See all the shiny people dancing to it
Anytime you go to ...
Cotton Avenue
If you got a place like that to go
You know you got to go there
If you got no place special
Well then, you just go no place special
You see that summer storm brewing in the southern sky
By the time it hits here I'll be dancing high and dry
To rhythm and blues
On Cotton Avenue
Poor boys'll be hanging around outside in the street
They got all the latest words
They're dancing to the latest beat
While they're hustling and sizing you
On Cotton Avenue
If you got a place like that to go
You just have to go there
If you've got no place special
Well my dear
You just so no place ... special

Spaceman
Starry night bring me down
til I realize the moon
It seems so distant yet I felt it pass
Right through
So I see what I see
A new world is over me
So Ill reach up to the sky
And pretend that Im a
Spaceman, in another place and time
I guess Im lookin for a brand new
Place, is there a better life for me
Subtle wind blow me gone
Let me rest upon your move
I trust Ill end up sleeping
Cradled in my doom
So I feel what I feel
I cant grasp what is not real
So Ill get myself real high
And imagine Im a
Spaceman, in another place and time
I guess Im lookin for a brand new
Place, is there a better life for me
I remember in my mind
They say Im a daydreamin
Is it all that it seems
Or am I all the things Im looking for, yea
So I see what I see, a new world is over me
And Ill reach up to the sky
And pretend that Im a spaceman
In another place and time
I guess Im lookin for a brand new place
I remember living in a different life
Is there a better life for me

Definition of happiness
ITS A place we have all been to:
a place were difficulties are forgotten
were only joyful events are certain
its a place you cant go to everyday
when you get there not long enough you can stay
a place safe and secure
a shield that deflects any bad thing that could accrue
a place were poise and pride are not neglected
a place were negative thoughts, ideas are not selected
a place far away from here
a place that does not recognize fear
a place that needs along time to get to
yet you arrive and forget any negative thing you have been through
a place that effects so deep
a place were you cant fall asleep
a place that does not exist
yet we have all been there I still insist
a place that’s not defined as a dream or a fantasy
a place that is only called happiness and ecstasy
Yet it is the most beautiful place
where sound of laughter and shape of smile race
on ones face like it would be in grace

Meet Me At No Special Place
(and Ill be there at no particular time)
(pyle/robinson/terker)
Baby, we two cant get along,
Im never right, youre never wrong.
So meet me at no special place,
And Ill be there at no particular time.
Baby, it just aint common sense
Mixin up love with arguments.
So meet me at no special place,
And Ill be there at no particular time.
Im all fed up on stormy weather,
Im going where its june.
Heres hopin I see you never
cause if I do, that will be too soon.
Now that Ive put my heart on ice,
Missing you will seem paradise.
So meet me at no special place,
And Ill be there at no particular time.
~interlude~
Youd better bring along your glasses
In case Im hard to find,
Youll wish you could see before you
As clearly as you can see behind.
You can turn back in retropect
Of the times you stuck out your neck.
So meet me at no special place,
And Ill be there at no particular time.
All we do is make up
Then quarrel all over again,
But this is it ~ the breakup
From now on, you knew me when...
So meet me at no special place,
And Ill be there at no particular time!

Christmas Manger
it is said that this night was the most beautiful night.
every star in the sky was shining very bright
there was not a cloud in the sky as far as the eye could see.
yet! it was foretold to kings of three different nations.
that a woman was about to give birth
to a child which would save this earth.
they packed up everything that they would need
and traveled on this beautiful night
to see this most glorious sight.
when they saw this child with eyes so blue
they knew that this was true.
for this child had such piercing eyes
that it saw through them and touched the sky.
his eyes gave the kings such tranquility
and a flaming desire in their souls
that this child they wanted to hold.
as they passed him from one to another
they looked upon the blessed mary and joseph
kneeling in the hay.
that they all began to pray.
they blessed this child with more than gold
for throughout the world this story would be told.
and even till this very day
we thank god in every way, for this beautiful
child who was born that night.
to give all of mankind a belief greater than they
and to wash away-the sins that we are born with at birth.
they say that the location of the manger was never found
that with time it was torn to the ground.
yet! people come from all over the world
in search of that sacred place.
so that they may feel his grace.
they feel his presence and know he's there
to erase all their fears.
yet the search should not be on the ground
but thru his love found all around.
give of yourself all that you can
and he will give you the helping hand.

We Can't Rewind
You're just a face in the crowd
A tiny hole in the cloud
You're trying to find your way in
To let your soul shine back out
We're just a twist in a seam
A splash of paint on a screen
We're making all kinds of shapes
Somehow we can straighten out the bends
This is our time, we can't rewind,
Our place to shine out, and we can live it anyway
This is our time to feel sublime,
Our place to shine now, and we can do it anyway
We can't rewind
Do you think we can change?
A different colour and shade?
I guess a new kind of thing
Somehow we can straighten out the bends
This is our time, we can't rewind,
Our place to shine out, and we can live it anyway
This is our time to feel sublime,
A place to shine now, and we can do it anyway
Oh yes, we can do it our way then
Stop taking me for a fool now
I've got this feeling inside me
But I guess you knew
We can work it out
We can find some place new
We can't rewind
We can't rewind
You're just a face in a crowd
A tiny hole in the cloud
This is our time, we can't rewind,
Our place to shine out, and we can live it anyway
This is our time to feel sublime,
A place to shine now, and we can do it anyway
This is our time, we can't rewind,
A place to shine out, and we can live it anyway
This is our time to feel sublime,
A place to shine now, and we can do it anyway

Your Wild Flower Of Mountain
Once upon a time was a wild flower,
Living in the mountains nearest sky and stars,
Other side of world was a young man living,
Seeking for the happiness of his life.
He was searching a wild flower,
A masterpiece of nature that fearless grew up,
A unique flower that lives lonely,
In a cold fresh breeze of mountain wind.
Seeking and seeking, finally you found her,
After a hard climbing on the rocks,
She was up on the peak of mountain,
In a wild rocky place.
You were astonished by her beauty,
You couldn't stop to stare at her,
She showed to you like an actress,
After curtains get opened on the stage.
She looked so strong to you, so pretty,
But also so charming and so delicate,
She knew you'll come and care for her,
All her life she was waiting for you.
Was enough only her petals to touch,
And she blossomed like a glowing smile,
Your face became so thrill and happy,
She was everything you ever wanted.
But hurry up, time is running,
Unfortunatelly never stops,
You have such precious moments with your wild flower to spend,
You waited for her so long and life never waits.
You took your gracious wild flower,
And nurtured her with love and faith,
Even you knew will last only a moment,
You gave her moments that she'll never forget.
But day to say good bye has come,
Sitting in your arms she closed her eyes and passed away,
Your face was last thing she wanted to see,
Before she got the last breath passing to eternity.
Don't waste your time, be with your loved one,
She is so special and so worthy in this shortless life,
Give to your wild flower of mountain your great love,
Don't wait for destiny from you to steal it.

My Past Life
When you look down upon my face;
And you see the sadness and also the disgrace,
Please remember, they were not always there;
But think of me in your thoughts and your prayer.
As it was not really that long ago;
When happiness and joy in my face did show,
When love and peace had also occupied my heart;
But then from me, those emotions did part.
A smile and a laugh was the first to leave;
Then next were my dreams and the need to believe,
My feelings and words of compassion would disappear;
Then stronger grew my hate, and also my fear.
The world that I knew it was no longer my friend;
The hope that I had I would no longer send,
My life and my home it became a different place;
And it is all there when you look down, upon my face.

A Literary Giant
He wore a grey overcoat,
A black fur cap with earflaps,
Felt boots and galoshes,
Addressing a large crowd
Of young writers in Flint,
Michigan, declaring
With a thick Russian accent:
'You, my American comrades,
What do you know about
Chekhov or Dostoyesvsky?
You who grew up with your
Abercrombie & Fitch,
Victoria's Secret Bras and
Fake Hollywood Orgasms,
And your thousand channels
Of mindless rubbish-
What do you know about
Passion and soul? '
And he looked around him,
Seeing the vacant smiles
Of his young audience,
Where some guy shouted:
'Peace out, dude, it's all good! '
And he looked straight into
His eyes, saying:
'See what I mean! This whole
Place is a joke and this
University is a joke! '
And then he said in Russian:
'Chyort poberi! ' leaving the stage
With his latest book under
His arm entitled
'Love in the Time of Futility, '
Which has won him
The Nobel Prize in Literature…
And he never set his foot
In that godforsaken place
Ever again.

Caught By The Hand
There is a place I have come to know
Where grief and anger tend to grow
I know well how to reach this place
While venturing though, I leave no trace
But many before me too have found
This path I walk, and in it drowned
For this path is rather misleading
One wrong turn, it's death you're meeting
But as I ventured along the way
Night crawled in and gone was day
I couldn't see and quickly tripped
As I sank, my hand was gripped
The grip grew stronger and before I knew
I was out of that pit, they pulled me through
But before I could turn to see their face
They were already gone; they left no trace
From that day on, I followed the trail
Safe and secure, I would not again fail
I gave an example, I led the way
A brand new me was born that day

The Gay Spirit Inside
He was born gay, and tried to hide his ways
Born with everything of a man
But with a woman’s gentle hand.
Raised in a gang infested area and being
Different Was even more scarier.
So to survive he had to show he was a macho man
So he made his football plans.
Not realizing that now he could see
That he would change drastically.
Seeing his fellow players in the nude
Made him depressed and he started to brood.
He longed to scream out loud
That he was gay and very proud.
But he knew that it could affect his family too
So he didn’t know what he should do.
His anger made him as strong as can be
He tackled players like you would never see.
Avoiding the female race, he would say
That football was first place.
He became a professional player, and with it
He gained fame and wealth
But deep inside it affected his health.
So after he turned twenty eight
He decided it could not wait.
He called a press conference and said he had
Something of importance to say.
“ I’ve been hiding this for many a year
Now it’s time that with you I share”
“I AM GAY”
When he saw the publics reaction, and all the clapping.
He knew that his soul was finally free and
No longer had to live in misery.
SEXUAL PREFERENCE HAS NOTHING TO DO
WITH WHAT’S INSIDE OF YOU.

Four Hundred
Sometimes the whole world spins out of control
While sometimes everything seems to makes sense.
But sense is just man’s perception of sanity.
Sometimes life’s simplicities are deceivingly so.
Sometimes complication fades away into the night,
A time of solitude and unawareness.
Sometimes the night’s a place of all-knowing,
The answer to Alexander’s knot.
Sometimes we can’t save ourselves,
Sometimes we need a golden angle.
An angel to fly down from the heavens and cast a shadow of forgiveness.
Sometimes angels don't have time to save humanity,
Sometimes humanity can’t be saved.
Sometimes pain doesn’t lead to perfection just more pain.
Sometimes practice doesn’t make perfection just mediocrity.
Sometimes what we want more then anything
Is the one thing we can’t have.
Sometimes the slightest ray of hope becomes
A moment of certainty.
Sometimes we wake up and realize that it’s all a dream,
The prospect of impossibility rears once more.
Sometimes we realize we were never asleep.
Sometimes the possibility of salvation
Is enough to make those most sane to ask questions,
Questions of conditional importance
Sometimes time stops,
Stops without a whisper,
Without warning or heed.
Sometimes we aren’t ready for reality to reset.
Sometimes dreams are just dreams
But sometimes they are gateways,
Gateways to our desires,
Desires hidden beneath denial and sanity.
Sometimes it would be easier to lose sanity,
Familiar vexations thwart at the past
While world renowned dangers smile at the future.
Who knew xanthic locks could drive dedication
While swarthy musing could raise boredom.
Who knew light would shower succession
While the kings throne shows naught.
Who knew everything must run its course,
Finish forever and today.
Everything must end but so soon?
As we find peace time dictates our futures,
Reminds us of our pasts,
Shows us were we’ve been.
Time isn’t a kind man,
A compassionate man,
Nor is he a forgiving man.
He shows us fixation but not change.
Never change.
We see the paths we’ve tread
But never where they lead.
Greater dementia in the corn maze is welcomed.
A battle with ones own sanity
Proves to be greater then that of the sword,
Greater then that of the hammer,
And certainly greater then that of the suitor
Though certainly not diverse.
The gift of capability will not be passed,
Neither shared nor spoken.
Inevitable rain will fall,
Fall from a cloud of relief,
And remembrance of that great and fierce.
Fall from midnight ramblings too senseless to speak
And unfinished vows scripted before reflected
Tributes to almost;
Almost a life time of awkwardness,
Almost worlds apart,
Almost side by side.
Sometime we just don’t run fast enough.

You are one
You are the only one
The place can be taken by none
You are the master and slave
Suffer the fate if your mistakes are grave
Choose the right course
Lead it along of course
Success or failure not for sure
You will build own future
Who else can push you back?
Until you are crazy and crack
It is always of our doing
No one can deny us anything or bring
You entered my life like a warrior
I was stunned to see you while at corridor
You were all for high acclaim
I wished you sincerely and claimed
You saw in me a catch prize
I was in the entire mood to oblige
It was beginning on the new page
I was drawn in the game on stage
I knew it was going to be different act
I was not to be given any liberty in fact
It was meant to be tied in one place
I got to bear it either with smile or sullen face
The idea of falling in love was entirely mine
It was all set and going to be very fine
I had dreamed of golden sun with full shine
I could not bear grim face but sweet smile
The world has changed a lot with new concept
They have made enough of changes and not slept
It is constantly changing to new demand
Man and woman have become identity and brand
What happens if one of the characters turns hostile?
The life ship goes turtle and aground meanwhile
The ups and down puzzles the duo with lots of concern
Everything is going to be different in turn
I am person of high stubborn nature
I can bear the burdens of the future
It is not of our doing so got to be faced
The fault can never be ascertained or traced
One gets discouraged if faced with such situation
No one would want it for ever with continuation
Some thing has to be done for its elimination
The life as such has to be pulled on without any alienation
Not all the cases may stage upset
Everything thing will go out of tune and offbeat
It must be tackled with great care and equal treatment
It must be seen that it is not assuming difficult moment
I loved the way it turned out later
Everything now seems to be better
I lost no hope for better tomorrow
I kept moving ahead by keeping low

Female, me, male, ale, fame, meal, feel, fee, am, lame, eel, leaf;

However, for the past seven years, i have been watching you.

Psalm 40
I waited patiently upon the Lord
That He may hear my cry
Surrounded by darkness on every side
In this place I will surely die
Where is this place I thought I knew
Its dark, its dimply lit
I looked around and all I could see
Was the bottom of the bottomless pit
I looked up and could see no light
And cried out ' O God help me.'
And in an instant His hand came down
And before I knew it I was free
I was out of the pit and standing on the Rock
I could feel the sun on my face
My heart was warm, there was a song on my lips
I was engulfed in a warm embrace
And now I delight to do your will
Your law is written on my heart
Neither death nor life or anything
Shall ever keep us apart

Terror in the fields
I often dreamt there was a beast.
A beast lurking in the feild.
A human beast that didnt no how to be humane.
The only thing this beast knew was power of one thing.
The power of rape was what he knew.
As I played in the field.
My little playing place.
He was watching my every move.
Yes this is the perfect one shes all alone.
As I ran passed the trees.
He pounced on me.
Shut it or I'll kill you was what he said.
In that split second he raped me.
And I couldnt do a thing.
All I could do was lie there frozen to the spot.
I couldnt shout or scream.
I couldnt wriggle free.
Cos this wasnt the first time.
Now I cant play in my once happy place.
Its not the same its no longer safe.

Goodbye To You
Of all the things I believe in
I just want to get it over with
tears from behind my eyes
but I do not cry
Counting the days that past me by
I've been searching deep down in my soul
Words that I'm hearing are starting to get old
Looks like I'm starting all over again
The last three years were just pretend and I say
Goodbye to you
Goodbye to everything I thought I knew
You were the one I love
The one thing that I tried to hold on to
I still get lost in your eyes
And it seems like I can't live a day without you
Closing my eyes till you chase my thoughts away
To a place where I am blinded by the light but it's not right
Goodbye to you
Goodbye to everything I thought I knew
You were the one I loved
The one thing that I tried to hold on to
Ohhh yeah
It hurts to want everything and nothing at the same time
I want whats yours and I want whats mine
I want you but I'm not giving in this time
Goodbye to you
Goodbye to everything I thought I knew
You were the one I loved
The one thing that I tried to hold on to
The one thing that I tried to hold on to
Goodbye to you
Goodbye to everything I thought I knew
You were the one I loved
The one thing that I tried to hold on to
We the stars fall and I lie awake
Your my shooting star

Open Your Eyes
Youve got a great imagination
You carry on in the same old way
No lessons learned from yesterday
Talk of changes lost in pages of paperwork
I believe it...
How can we refuse to see
Ive received it...
What could be our final destiny
I believe that...
Still we go on from day to day
Knowing what could be true
Wish I knew
Wish I knew
Wish I knew
Open your eyes and discover
Youre not the only one
In disguise
Do you wonder
When the change is gonna come?
Open your eyes
Youve got a great imagination
We cast the world, we set the stage
For what could be the darkest age
Short exchanges
From perfect strangers
Well never know
But wish we knew
I believe it...
Its time to face reality
Ive received it...
Questioning the powers that be
I believe it...
Are we too confused to see?
Wish I knew
Wish I knew
Wish I knew
Wish I knew
Open your eyes and discover
Youre not the only one
In disguise
Do you wonder
When the change is gonna come?
Open your eyes
Youve got a great imagination
Open your eyes
Show it
Show it
[gtr]
Wish we knew
I believe it...
Its time to face reality
Ive received it...
Things arent what they used to be
I believe it...
What I see in you, you see in me
Wish I knew
Wish I knew
Wish I knew
Wish I knew
Open your eyes and discover
Youre not the only one
In disguise
Do you wonder
When the change is gonna come?
Change is gonna come
Change is gonna come
Change is gonna come
Youve got a great imagination
Change is gonna come
Change is gonna come
Change is gonna come
Youve got a sweet imagination
Change is gonna come
Open your eyes
Change is gonna come
Open your eyes
Change is gonna come
Youve got a deep imagination coming
Show it
Show it
Show it
Show it
Show it
Show it
