Junior houseman for friend Thad
Can’t find a pulse the young doc said.
I think that means that you are dead.
This goes against all common sense.
I blame his inexperience
I had to strongly remonstrate,
which he did not appreciate.
You have no pulse you must be dead.
That’s what my old professor said.
A nursing sister standing by
just shook her head and heaved a sigh.
I sent the young fool on his way.
That’s why I am still here today.
I had no pulse in my false arm
I saw no reason for alarm.
I know that in my other wrist
I have a pulse that can’t be missed.

Pulse
Step by step by step by step by
Steps grow longer
til its just like stepping in another world
Feel that pulse that pulse that pulse
That pulse go stronger
Like a breath line coming from another world
Dont want to leave my old world but I cant deny
What it is that draws me on
Like a magnet pulling from another world
Dont know what Ill find in the new world
But Im not afraid of the sound that calls me on
Like a siren singing in another world
Here comes a change, and another change,
And another change
And another wave of change
Like a heartbeat pumping from another world

Rhythmistic Pulse
One, two, three...
Rhythmistic pulse.
Rhythmistic pulse.
Rhythmistic pulse.
Rhythmistic pulse.
Rhythmistic people...
Feel within a flow of a beat,
With a rhythm pulsed.
With a rhythm pulsed.
Rhythmistic people...
Find it easy patting their feet,
With a rhythm pulsed.
With a rhythm pulsed.
And...
Harmonizing with a life that's reached,
For the sounds of nature.
With a rhythm pulsed.
Rhythmistic people...
Feel within a flow of a beat,
With a rhythm pulsed.
With a rhythm pulsed.
And...
Harmonizing with a life that's reached,
For the sounds of nature.
One, two, three...
Rhythmistic pulse.
Rhythmistic pulse.
And...
Harmonizing with a life that's reached,
For the sounds of nature.
With a rhythm pulsed.
And...
Harmonizing with a life that's reached,
For the sounds of nature.
One, two, three...
Rhythmistic pulse.
Rhythmistic pulse.
Rhythmistic pulse.
Rhythmistic,
One, two, three...
Rhythmistic pulse.
Rhythmistic pulse.
Rhythmistic pulse.
Rhythmistic,
One, two, three...
Rhythmistic,
One, two, three...
Rhythmistic pulse.

Buddha Steps # 8
the trees are alive!
even in the dead of winter,
if you're still,
you can feel their pulse,
waiting....
chainsaws and axes,
matches and hearth.
you are alive!
just below your numbness,
if you're still,
you can feel your pulse,
waiting...
chainsaws and axes,
matches and hearth.
God is alive!
just beyond your conceptions,
if you're still,
you can feel eternity's pulse,
waiting...
chainsaws and axes,
matches and hearth.

Capital City
Nerve and nerve
This coastline swerves
To a city that they live on
I walk on by
Animals cry
To a city that they live on
To a city that they walk on
To a city that they live on
Pulse feel pulse
This train is late
I hesitate
To a city that they live on
Dance the dance of violence
To a city that they live on
To a city that they crawl on
To a city that they live on
Pulse feel pulse
City that they live on
Feel
To a city that they crawl on
To a city live on
Feel
City that they crawl on

Picaro Heart Beat Hard
beat accord the tune to the music
beat pulse the pulse sounds to the rhythm
skate on an ice age knives cutting through
the frozen winters snowpledge
die hard your dice
through them over the hurdles of the sky
'the homeland is a drunken street'
it always has been you know
too well

Professor! ! !
She
teaches us
and
scolds
our pulse
she strongly holds
her lessons
are so delicate
but
mode of teaching
intricate;
impresses us
with
stranger feats
often gives
surprising treats
with
watchful eyes
does always see
just few of us
can pay her Fee
sometimes kind,
sometimes aggressor
Life is strict
but
a great professor! ! !

Pet Under My Skin
close your eyes
let your body
take over
take your pulse
and you soon realise
you are owner of a pet - right
under your skin
rub it gently the way
you shower pet cat
with affection
and it starts
to soothe you
with its warmth, love
achieving zero thought?
the pulse rattles a drum
to that heaven
without you having to move
even an inch
hold on to it - to feel
the power - loving that pet
under your skin
could generate

Climbing With Jane.
Jane had climbed
the Downs with you
and had hardly spoken
on the tiring climb
along the dried up tracks
on the way up
and then at the top
standing beside you
she stared out across
the countryside
and said
you can see
where I live from here
and she pointed out
to the church down beneath
and you said
yes
and took in the church
and the house
where she lived
with the parson
and his wife
and tried to pick out
which bedroom was hers
and she said
I like it up here
away from the crowds
and nearer to God
and you studied her profile
and her hair
and the way she stood there
in that summer dress
and sandals
and with that youthfulness
and you wanted suddenly
to kiss her
and embrace her
but you didn't
you just stood
and studied her profile
and moving closer
you reached out
your hand
and touched hers
and her hand was warm
and as you squeezed it gently
you sensed the pulse of life
run through
and the moment
seemed to explode
in your head
in a myriad
of colours and sounds
and you rubbed your thumb
along her wrist
checking the pulse
the life
wanting her
to be the one
and pointing upward
she said breaking through
your dream
look at the colour
of that sky
and feel the warmth
of sun.

Do twitter
In the skies
Like the pulse

My heart
Do twitter

The essence of God
god is everywhere
he fills up the blank
in the mind when
we are jolted to the spirit
that gently pulls at
the petals of the rose
inch by inch for that
bright spring bloom dance
pulse after pulse
since conception
for each cell to thrive
the living spirit
that runs through
the whole of creation
to bind us to each other
the iron fisted law
that it helms to
govern all
to the farthest of stars
spirit+water+earth+metal+wood+air =
God binding us all
take away one
to see the whole creation crumble

Sexual Thoughts To Die Last
Having lost the vigour to produce seeds,
Send out blossom and give out shoots and leaves,
With the stem turning senseless in due course,
A tree still feels the pulse of lust and life
With its roots being active to the earth.
Having lost the vigour to impregnate,
To keep counts and volume from falling,
With the stem losing its power in aging,
A man still feels the pulse of life and lust
With his thoughts responsive to women.

Pulse Of The Maggots
This is the year where hope fails you
The test subjects run the experiment
And the bastard you know is the hero you hate
But cohesion, it's possible if we try
There's no reason, there's no lesson, no time like the present
Tell me right now, what have you got to lose?
What have you got to lose, except your soul?
Who's with us?
I fight for the unconventional
I'm right, and it's unconditional
I can only be as real as I can
The disadvantages, i never knew the plan
This isn't just a way to be a martyr
I can't walk alone any longer
I fight for the ones who can't fight
And if I lose, at least I tried!
(We) We are the new diabolic
(We) We are the bitter bucolic
If I have to give my life, you can have it
(We) We are the pulse of the maggots!
I won't be the inconsequential
I won't be the wasted potential
I can make it as severe as I can
Until you realize youll never take a stand
It isn't just a one sided virgin
We dealt with a manic subversion
I won't let the truth be perverted
And I will leave another victim deserted
(We) We are the new diabolic
(We) We are the bitter bucolic
If I have to give my life, you can have it
(We) We are the pulse of the maggots!
Do you understand? Yes!
Say it again, say it again! (We won't die)
We fight so no one can fight us
We live and no one can stop us
We pull when we push too far
And the advantages, the bottom line is
We never had to fight in the first place
We yell it, and just spit back in their face
We won't walk alone any longer
What doesn't kill us only makes us stronger
(We) We are the new diabolic
(We) We are the bitter bucolic
If I have to give my life, you can have it
(We) We are the pulse of the maggots!
Do you understand? Yes!
Say it again, say it again! (We won't die)

Wonderland
People, places
Pursuing the chases
Our moments were chosen
Her senses explosion
Take your pulse and read it well
She never said youd only get one chance
Pay your debt and bleed as well
Youre living in the same circumstances
The end of an era
Our future no clearer
My people no stronger
The blame I lay on her
Wonderland, wonderland
Its beautiful
Wonderland, wonderland
Its beautiful
Take your pulse and read it well
She never said youd only get one chance
Pay your debt and bleed as well
Youre living in the same circumstances
The end of an era
Our future no clearer
My people no stronger
The blame I lay on her

Penseroso
Soulless is all humanity to me
To-night. My keenest longing is to be
Alone, alone with God's grey earth that seems
Pulse of my pulse and consort of my dreams.
To-night my soul desires no fellowship,
Or fellow-being; crave I but to slip
Thro' space on space, till flesh no more can bind,
And I may quit for aye my fellow kind.
Let me but feel athwart my cheek the lash
Of whipping wind, but hear the torrent dash
Adown the mountain steep, 'twere more my choice
Than touch of human hand, than human voice.
Let me but wander on the shore night-stilled,
Drinking its darkness till my soul is filled;
The breathing of the salt sea on my hair,
My outstretched hands but grasping empty air.
Let me but feel the pulse of Nature's soul
Athrob on mine, let seas and thunders roll
O'er night and me; sands whirl; winds, waters beat;
For God's grey earth has no cheap counterfeit.

No Mean City
Stopped in fright at a traffic light
Red eyes staring me out
Strange feelings comin' down tonight
Can't quite figure it out
Fit your alibi before your crime
No need in serving no time
Case you scam, or you'll get rammed
Stretched out on that line
Hangin' out at a shooting site
Cold turkey calling a tune
All the answers coming late tonight
Try to look like you're immune
In your eyes you can feel the heat
But the feelings outa touch
You're working on just a holding on
You're hurtin' oh so much
Feel the city heartbeat, feel the pulse in the streets
Can you feel the city heartbeat, can you feel the pulse in the streets
Can you feel your own heartbeat
Can you feel your blood begin to heat?
Call off your dogs 'cause i am no fox
Turn off your white light
My alibi is rock tight
Your night stick, cheap trick is pullin' me in
Your monkey suit, stage fright, black and white blue suit, law suit
Is wearin', mighty thin
Feel the city heartbeat, feel the pulse in the streets
Can you feel the city heartbeat, can you feel the pulse in the streets
Can you feel your own heartbeat
Can you feel your blood begin to heat?
Borstal boy laughing at justice now he's a star
And the perfume he wore lingers on the king's road
Like a whore
Legs wrapped around a plastic stool
He's making more in one day
Than you've had.......hot, hot dinners
Call out your legions, the savior is loose
Telling true stories you know that ain't no use
Your empire is burning you can feel the smell
Your hot rod , space pod, tax relief, kill machine
Is looking mean
And should be working well
Feel the city heartbeat, feel the pulse in the streets
Can you feel your own heartbeat
Can you feel the pulse in the streets
Can you feel your own heartbeat
Can you feel your blood begin to heat?
