I do not KNOW but I suspect.
The world is not as we accept.
Reality is mutable,
we tend to see what we expect.

Although it seems impossible
I think it highly probable.
We do not really understand
what is and is not possible.

Although we try to make a stand.
The future we cannot command
We must allow for sudden change,
when fate decides to take a hand.

Then we must quickly rearrange
although in fact we find it strange.
The way we see reality
however limited our range.

We must admit reluctantly
that times are changing rapidly
Perhaps much faster than we think
as we approach maturity.

We may be standing on the brink
of abysses as black as ink
The end of all humanity.
Be jettisoned to downward sink.

Because we would not learn to see
That all men should live peaceably.
Another failed experiment
which must be erased completely

Forbidden for JT Ellison

I sometimes wonder when you die.
Are you aware that you are dead?
And do you know the reason why
And can you see the way ahead.

Or are you frightened and alone
And do not know what you should do
When you are faced with the unknown.
Does someone come to comfort you?

Some sort of spirit rescue team
who are prepared and on stand by.
Who will explain this is no dream.
A different reality.

Your body died but you live on
Immortal spirits cannot die.
Although you’re sad and woebegone,
you must accept reluctantly.

You can’t go back; impossible.
You must move on to the next stage.
Although it’s highly probable
you will refuse to in your rage.

You were not ready yet to die
and miss all that you left behind.
You cannot see a reason why
fate should choose you. That you can find.

Eventually you realise
this is your new reality.
Death comes to all as a surprise
because that’s how it is meant to be.

All people know that they must die
but may not know the where or when
Though we may ask, there’s no reply.
Some knowledge is forbidden men.

The Times They Are A-Changin'

Come gather round people wherever you roam
And admit that the waters around you have grown
And accept it that soon you'll be drenched to the bone
If your time to you is worth saving
Then you'd better start swimming or you'll sink like a stone
For the times, they are a changing
Come writers and critics who prophesize with your pens
And keep your eyes WIDE, the chance won't come again
And don't speak too soon, FOR the wheel's still in spin
And there's no telling who that it's naming
FOR the loser will be later to win
For the times, they are a changing
Come senators, congressmen, please head the call
Don't stand in the doorway, don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt will be HE WHO has stalled
The battle outside ragging will soon shake your windows
And rattle your WALLS
For the times, they are a changing
Come mothers and fathers THROUGH OUT THE land
And don't criticize what you can't understand
Your sons and your daughter are beyond your command
Your old role is rapidly aging
Please get out of the new one if you can't lend YOUR hand
For the times they are a changing
The line, it is drawn, the curse, it is cast
The slow one NOWwill later be fast
AS the present now will LATER be the past
The order is rapidly fading
AND The first one now will later be last
For the times, they are a changing

Day by Day

I think it is impossible
To recall ev’ryone you met
and also highly probable.
That some you’re happy to forget.

The first lover who broke your heart,
Imprinted deep in memory.
Though you suspected from the start,
this was a dream which could not be.

The petty boss that bullied you.
When you were young and powerless.
It’s odd but you recall him too.
Though not with any kindliness.

Yet good friends fade from memory
erased by quickly passing years
almost you’d think impossible,
You wonder if you’ve slipped from theirs.

Although you meant to keep in touch.
You never did too much to do.
I wonder does it matter
because they have forgotten too.

Par for the course I understand.
Although sometimes spontaneously
they come to mind; you can’t command
the actions of your memory.

The present matters not the past.
It is consigned to history,
the pace of life is far too fast.
To take time out for reverie.

We touch on others and affect
each other in some subtle way
That is the truth we must accept.
We really live from day to day.

Just A Thought... Something To Share

The pillar of time will test us
humans as we grow older and wiser
with each passing year
we see the good the bad
the strange the weird
the sad the glad
what ever else life has to share
but through it all
through all the pain
the growth the wars
the disasters
that plague this earth
we stand tall and proud
Often we tend to forget
were we come from and who we are
we feel lost alone like nobody cares
but in reality, we just have to
reach out a hand to be loved
to be cared, to be protected,
we tend to think our family’s do not care
but in reality they do they just
don’t know how to show you
how they feel what they need
Humanity is strange as we
often ponder on life’s ifs and buts
sometimes we do things that we regret
thinking at the time it was right
you see the mistakes one dose in their lives
we shake our heads thinking if only I knew
what I now know back then as a teenager
this may be a poem or just a thought
but it was something that needed to be said
something I wanted to share
Who knows if this will help others
to understand the meaning of life
who knows what it really means
to live a full life, to know
and shares ones dreams or
just to accept ones owns fallacy’s
as a human being
live the day, live the moment
and you will be free to be who you want to be.

Change The World

Chorus:
Together well change the world
This is our destiny
And make it a better place
In peace and harmony
Together well change the world
Can be reality
And then we gonna, make it right
And stop the misery
Chorus b:
All the people in every nation
Now we gonna rise above
All the problems and frustration
Now stand up and say enough
Rap 1:
You can call me a dreamer, I guess Im a believer
I believe we can change the world one day
Anyway, sooner or later, were natures creator
We wanna live in peace, stop to run away
Open your mind, the view doesnt get clearer
This is your time, dont let nobody stop ya
Here is your destiny, holding your hand
Lets call it a friend
Rap bridge:
Everybody stand up, up
We can make things better, better
Everybody for peace, peace
Come on lets change the world
Midpart:
Lets change the world - together we are strong
Lets change the world - we know whats going on
Lets change it all - the world is in our hands
We all need peace, we all need hope
Let us change the world
Rap 2:
Stop, step back dont let somebody play the game
Scream it loud, we dont want no black rain
No pain anymore in human history
Im talking about a world, full of melody
My life keeps on running, - just faster and faster
I pray for a wind of change, dont want that disaster
Fighting with spirit, - for everyone, for you and me
This world is my place to be

I Won't Be There

I don't wanna make this
Harder than I have to
This is how it has to be
There's so many things I want to say
But you just don't listen to me

I don't want to hurt you
You don't want to hurt me
I can't stand you
And you can't stand me
We can't rearrange
You can never change me
Say goodbye
Nothing I say could change your mind cuz

[CHORUS:]
I can't stay
Tomorrow I'll be on my way
So don't expect to find me sleeping in my bed
'Cuz when you wake up
I won't be there

Everything I say
You find a way to make it
Sound like I was born just yesterday
Everything you taught me
Really means a lot
I'm going my way

I don't want to hurt you
You don't want to hurt me
I can't stand you
And you can't stand me
We can't rearrange
You can never change me
Say goodbye
Nothing I say could change your mind 'cuz

[CHORUS]

This is the last night
That I spend at home
And it won't take too long
For you to notice
Won't take long for you to find out
That I'm gone

[CHORUS x 2]

Truth and Reality (Opinion)

Daily at the end of my "anusthaanam"-(spiritual ritual) ", I make a strong, fervent and sincere prayer to the Divinity that intellectuals and scholars in the world should be fearless and speak the truth without any inhibitions. This has been the tradition of our ancestors and speaking truth is essential for the benefit of the society and the society will be able to know the actualities and act on them.
Normally the rulers do not like the truth to be known. Also leaders of ideologies, religions, their supporters and the like also do not like the truth to be known to the ordinary people. The writers are normally and should be fearless such that the ills and evils in the society are exposed and remedial measures are taken. But what is truth?
Truth is what it is or as it is irrespective of perceptions of the individuals. Reality is what we see of truth; how much we see of truth. Reality is always dictated by our mental make-up, likes, dislikes, limitations in our ability and willingness to see, view, comprehend and accept the truth. Reality is individual's perception of the truth. Truth, most of the times, is only perceived and rarely understood or experienced. Thus reality is limited truth. Reality is either inability to be truthful or inability and limitations of the individual to see the truth unbiased. Also truth corresponds to the individual, about himself, his Self and the reality corresponds to the objective world within and without the body of the individual.
Real situations are compromised states of existence in the attempt of pursuit of the truth. We all talk about truth limited by our perception and not the truth most of the times. We have compulsions inbuilt, acquired or imagined not to accept the truth and allow truth to be spoken or spread through us. But truth is a flowing river. It may flood us but it never dries up. On the other the reality is like a stagnated lake. Our fear of repercussions taking place if we speak, accept or propagate truth, make us real and not truthful. We prefer peaceful and calm life. We call that realistic approach and adjust and compromise.
Thus, most of the times, we are not truthful. We are all limited and confined to our perceptions of truth. Truth is best revealed when understood or experienced. But we rarely get such insight. All our knowledge and information is hearsay through books, newspapers, magazines, radio and TV news channels, web sites etc, . We are all aware that these books and news items are filtered through the editors and owners of these media. Thus the perceptions of these responsible and financing individuals decide the truth content in the item. We pick up these as truth and argue or form our own perceptions. Sometimes the editorial policy of the editors or owners of these media do not allow truth as it is to reach us when they find it objectionable in that form. Thus truth is never completely known or allowed to be known and hence not completely comprehended. The fears, imaginations, illusions shape our perceptions and our comprehension of the truth. Many times it appears that no absolute truth exists or known, perceived or understood and experienced. Just as feelings and perceptions of good and bad and other qualities, truth is also relative as "truth to me", "truth to him", "truth to you", "truth to them" and a truth accepted by all is not possible and available to be expressed, accepted or spread and we all mistake our perceptions of truth as truth without understanding or experiencing the truth. But truth is like fire. It can not be hidden or held in hand.

the palm. Truth sneaks through our cautions and suppression and declares itself.

Open Book's Monologue Part 4 Bookkeeping

Regular written books or a regular written novel
Could sell
But each copy would essentially be the same
And the words stagnant, unable to change, in a sense lame
Because they cannot move or rearrange
They just never change

But I guess even though I'm an open book that's where we differ
My words do change, and my past is rewritten
When my memories become hazy or hidden
Suddenly I've changed my past, said something different to her
Or him, or supposedly done an action that never did occur.
When witnesses balk and there is no vindication
Nor affirmation
It's hard to keep my memories truthfully
Call me a liar for changing them, but that's me

Bookkeeping is near impossible
Because rewriting my beginnings is possible
It's hard to remember what's fact or fiction
When this novel is just a fantastical rendition
Of what I think my life is or thought my life was
Not what it really is or really was
I think it's because
Those unhappy memories of the past ought
Just to be forgot
So I choose (o so subconsciously) to rewrite them
Only to find they've made my destiny
They've made me- me

It's funny that I write of bookkeeping
And changing the beginning of the book
When I feel so strongly
That such things are impossible for me
So in a sense this poem is a contradiction
But then maybe my changes are just my perception
Of my story because I cannot look back
So I guess I'm wrong... future and past are stained in black
Because as a book I could change what I think
Maybe even float not sink
But that's just my perception, because my story
Is actually
The Immutable tragedy
The tragedy of me
And past... present... future
They won't endure
One day pages will crumble to dust

But I think... I'll go first... Actually I think.... I think...
I must.

What Has Changed

The world as I saw it as a youth
changed slowly in my mind.
It was warm and kind and friendly,
everything I wished to find.
The warmth of the sun,
never feared.
The kindness of people,
to me endeared.
The friendliness of strangers,
volunteered.
All of this my eyes did see.

The world as I saw it in mid-life
changed quicker in my mind.
It was filled with doubt and sometimes grief,
not something I expected to find.
The insecurities of life,
to me all new.
The losses that occur,
to me so blue.
The threats to harmony,
to me, to you.
All of this my eyes did see.

The world as I see it in riper years
changes not one bit in my mind.
For I've learned through living every day
there is something I can find.
The peace of understanding
that things don't change.
The spirit of humanity
that can rearrange
the acceptance of reality
which is strange.
The illusion of falseness
which tries to derange

everything good that comes your way.
And when we live through our very last day
we find that the only thing that's changed
Are we.

Edge Of Reality

(words & music by giant - baum - kaye)
I walk along a thin line darling
Dark shadows follow me
Heres where lifes dream lies disillusioned
The edge of reality
Oh I can hear strange voices echo
Laughing with mockery
The border line of doom Im facing
The edge of reality
On the edge of reality she sits there tormenting me
The girl with the nameless face
On the edge of reality where she overpowers me
With fears that I cant explain
She drove me to the point of madness
The brink of misery
If shes not real then Im condemned to
The edge of reality
On the edge of reality she sits there tormenting me
The girl with the nameless face
On the edge of reality where she overpowers me
With fears that I cant explain
She drove me to the point of madness
The brink of misery
If shes not real then Im condemned to
The edge of reality
Reality, reality, reality, reality,
Reality, reality, reality, reality

What Has Been Denied

One of the main reasons,
People don't know who they are...
Or can respect others to accept,
Is their approach to life.
And a valued place on false pretensions.

People have been made to believe,
And are convinced...
That reality is to be pretended,
And the more pretentious they are...
The more they reflect a 'version' of reality.
Blindly accepted.

And...
Those who are themselves,
And have lived reality...
From an experiencing of it,
Are perceived as being phony.
Although everything they have done...
Is based upon truth as it is,
And have attempted to deliver it.
But are criticized for being nonconformists.

One of the main reasons,
People don't know who they are...
Or can respect others to accept,
Is their approach to life.

One is taught how to live,
And how to act.
What beliefs to accept,
From those created...
And followed 'faithfully'.

And those who live not accepting,
Those beliefs to follow 'faithfully'...
Seem to live freer lives,
Without having lies to follow.

'Why is there so much conflict in the world.
Why are so many people unhappy? '

That's a good question.
And they are the ones who follow,
Taught beliefs.
Without seeking to live life,
To discover it on their own.
They follow and protest yet accept.

'But,
How can you say that? '

I've learned to stand back,
And observe that which has been denied.
My eyes have been open most of my life,
To see things as they are.
Not what I wish them to be.
With eyes open wide.

And apparently my 'version' has offered me,
A more peaceful co-existence.
And that for me is not phony at all.
I only have one face that I've shown.
Have you ever seen me wearing a mask?
To appease others doing it?

'No.'

You should take yours off.
You'll see exactly what I mean.
When you begin to experience life,
So many become offended.

My Strange Land

I hold the memory of us in my hand
and drift away to a distant land
Candy trees and sherbet sand
As I hold the memory in my hand

I close my eyes and drift away
to a better happier day
A day when I could laugh away
The demons of this darker day

I drift away in a sea of dreams
where nothing is quite as it seems
Purple dragons, childhood dreams
Nothing quite as it seems

I embrace the strange new sights
flying candy Christmas lights
It's okay these child like sights
Fireworks explode in bright white light

In my head things are strange
reality is not in range
where everything is fine yet, strange
Gumballs on the firing range

I wish I could understand
Take you to this distant land
where I live each day now understand
Don't be scared of me in my strange land.
