My Utmost Fears
My utmost fears that I may one day cease to be
Before my quill has gleaned my still teeming brain
Too long before my piled childhood pains have been expressed in plea
Being held like rich garners full of ripen grain
As I behold, upon the deepened vaults of night's starred face
All decorated with high symbols of divine icons and romance
And to think that I may not forever live to adore and to trace
The secrets, the shadows and their magic chance
And when I see any piece of beauty presented by the hour
In full lament I shall be for I never look upon thee any more
How I relinquish the relish in observing the universe power
The skies, the sea and the vast sand on elongated shore
Upon the echoing dunes of solitary shore
I stand alone stunned with the beach stones to think
How what is, becomes no more
How love and fame are closed, to nothingness sink

When I Have Fears
When I have fears that I may cease to be
Before my pen has glean'd my teeming brain,
Before high-piled books, in charactery,
Hold like rich garners the full ripen'd grain;
When I behold, upon the night's starr'd face,
Huge cloudy symbols of a high romance,
And think that I may never live to trace
Their shadows, with the magic hand of chance;
And when I feel, fair creature of an hour,
That I shall never look upon thee more,
Never have relish in the faery power
Of unreflecting love;--then on the shore
Of the wide world I stand alone, and think
Till love and fame to nothingness do sink.

The gloom of an hour
I have at times gnawing fears that my days may soon cease to be
Before my quill has exhausted itself in teeming my brain,
Before my high-piled books, in character, and in gallantry
Hold like rich wheat, the full ripened grain;
When I behold, upon the night's vault starred face,
Huge cloudy symbols of a high youthful and fresh romance,
This blessed moon lending its sheen where I shall never trace
Its shadows, with the magic hand of zeal, rapture and chance;
And when I feel the air of a fair creature in the gloom of an hour,
That I shall never look upon or company my kinsmen more,
Never have relish in the fiery power and emotional tower
Of unreflecting love; youth on echoing dunes of an isolated shore
Of this stage wide world a human stands alone, and thinks
Where are all love moments and banners of praise
The human soul they try to cherish and to raise
No answer; his love collapses forgotten; his fame to nothingness sinks.

I Lay Down By The Shore Of Where I Am
I LAY DOWN BY THE SHORE OF WHERE I AM
I lay down by the shore of where I am-
The heavy long waters have already gone by-
Night is coming,
And night may be dark for a long time-
I will not lay down for long
I will rest
And then I will begin again-
Another sea another shore another world-
Who knows how vast the Beyond is
And whether if real it goes on forever?
I have rested enough-
Let the waters roll
I am on my way to another universe
All of you I have loved, Goodbye for now
Let us meet again somewhere else we cannot begin to see now-
Love rolls through all the Universes and it will take us too to another shore and a new paradise.

On The Dunes
Drive along the sea
Far from the citys twitch and smoke
To a misty beach
Thats where my life became a joke
On the dunes
On the dunes
(became a joke on the dunes)
Where rents are high
And seabirds cry
On the dunes
As you spoke you must have known
It was a kind of homicide
I stood and watched my happiness
Drift outwards with the tide
On the dunes
On the dunes
(homicide on the dunes)
It wasnt fair
Its brutal there
On the dunes
Pretty boats
Sweeping along the shore
In the faltering light
Pretty women
With their lovers by their side
Its like an awful dream
I have most every night
In the summer all the swells
Join in the search for sun and sand
For me its just a joyless place
Where this loneliness began
On the dunes
On the dunes
(loneliness on the dunes)
Im pretty tough
But the wind is rough
On the dunes

The Barren Shore
Full many sing to me and thee
Their riches gather'd by the sea;
But I will sing, for I'm footsore,
The burthen of the barren shore.
The hue of love how lively shown
In this sole found cerulean stone
By twenty leagues of ocean roar.
O, burthen of the barren shore!
And these few crystal fragments bright,
As clear as truth, as strong as right,
I found in footing twenty more.
O, burthen of the barren shore!
And how far did I go for this
Small, precious piece of ambergris?
Of weary leagues I went threescore.
O, burthen of the barren shore!
The sand is poor, the sea is rich,
And I, I am I know not which;
And well it were to know no more
The burthen of the barren shore!

Production Line
much is much and
so many is like sand sprawling
on the shore... so much so many
and one who lays her body on
the sandy shore
takes sand for granted just another
part of this mass production of
things in her ordinary world: rocks, pebbles, stones,
sands,
what value can there be on a speck of dust
a grain of sand
becomes like her sun, too ordinary for her sunburn-skin
what's got the sun to do with me?
or the sand?
her sunglasses speak for her
in the middle of her empty hours
basking under the sun
production some times, so much for so many
meaninglessness growing like fruits of the poisonous tree
i could have kept one, just one
kept it inside my heart, i could have known what is precious,
diamond, just one,
glittering in the darkest hour of my night.
but there is no one really, all i have are mass produced, and
like sand, i lay my body on the shore, spreading so thinly without
feelings.

O Cruel Sea!
No more will I go near the sea!
No more will I stand on a beach;
No more will I live near a shore;
The sea no more looks lovely!
No more will I play on its sands;
No more will I bask in its sun;
No more will I watch ships and boats;
The sea has lost its glory!
No more will I walk on the shore;
No more will I build sand-castles;
No more will I eat sea-fish foods;
The sea has lost its beauty!
No more will I go over-seas;
No more will I adore the waves;
No more will I yearn for the sea;
The sea has lost its sanctity!
No more will I deep-dive for pearls;
No more will I collect sea-shells;
No more will I dream of Blue Sea;
The sea’s a Mass-Grave, watery!

Dark the shadows haunt the night
If I began to cry
The tears would never end
If I lowered my guard
Then how could I defend?
From every side the walls close in
And there is no place that you could stand
That would hide you from this world
And all that it demands
Whoever said that life was fair
Has not lived long enough
When the path takes you along the edge
You'll see them fall off the bluff
But the problem is
If your guard is high
You will wither away
And begin to die
How could something so small
Cast such a shadow on the land?
How was it that it stood so tall
Yet it was just a grain of sand?
I made my way through this world
With the Sun forever at my back
And the shadows went before me
And the shadow it was black
One grain of sand in my eye
Tormented me for many years
And I could never hope to fly
For I was blinded by my fears
Then Jesus came and turned me round
To face the rising Sun
His light it shone upon my face
And my journey had begun
When you walk into the Son
The shadows fall behind
The Sun removes the grain of sand
Now you're no longer blind
Who is your grain of sand my child
That made you stumble, made you fall?
In the light of Christ perhaps you'll find
That persons not so very tall
Dark the shadows haunt the night
That cause you to run and hide
Look to the Son that shines so bright
And He will shine that light inside
O to be filled with the light of Christ
And see the shadows disappear
To lift my eyes to heavens heights
And finally to shed a tear

O alone man on shore of river;
O alone man on shore of river;
behold thy beauty, in the way she wants to,
embrace thy dazzled eyes in yours poetic words
and run,
Night is yet to be youth; sit and sing for her,
River, Night, Moon, Dawn,
all would be here tomorrow,
O alone man on shore of river;
but she might not be!
Her village is not so far; either run or
sail in darkness of night to realize warmth of her company
O alone man on shore of river;
only do not behold thy beauty rather
feel herself in your Soul
O alone man on shore of river.

Unicorns and Myth
Many moons ago, England had its myths,
Stories of fairies, leprechauns and unicorns,
Who lived in a mythological land,
Where mystery and magic still stand,
For the forest were dark and dangerous places,
The unsuspecting walking through their depths,
Knowing the magical creatures watching over their steps,
Protecting them from the devil that hides in the dark,
Shadows waiting in the tall trees,
But nature has always had its power in magic,
White witches harnessing nature's secret power,
The plants and trees that surround and fill the forest,
Magic and myth to be found in the dark green leaves,
For the forest contains many secrets,
Many secrets where unicorns run at the witching hour,
Or the moon sharing her secret power,
And there are many beautiful flowers,
Blooming, even in the dark,
The fairies sprinkling their magic dust,
To make mushrooms and petals grow,
The forest rich with its vast, magical beauty,
That has captured the imagination of all who see.

We shall stroll no more
We shall stroll no more
On pebbled white elongated shores
Or go wandering on dunes so late
Into the meadows by the night of date
Though the heart be still as loving as ever
Yet in aching pains in tears in sighs in quivers
And the moon be still as bright
Yet an orphaned and out of sight
Time wears out things and the sword outwears its sheath
And love outwears my tortured soul in my empty breast
The heart must pause now and catch a breath
And love itself seeks but soothing rest.
By night we no longer linger on a lea or on a lawn
For an underfoot of herb that was dry
And genial warmth, hovering over the sky
The silver haze of late summer night drawn
Though it was a night of our supreme delight
As pure as holy as perfect as a pray
The very source and fount of beams and rays
It dashed with stern isles of blight
Though the night is made for loving
And the day returned upon us too soon
We will go no more roving
By the light of the pert and nimble moon
Twisting, waving, dancing shadows roam the desolated sands
vague sceneries of ghosts and voices of past time;
Disconnected frames in fading memory past their prime
Touch them; feel them extend your hands
Yet in vain, at the solitary beach no one stands
Just the silence of echoing dunes and howling winds leading
The foaming waves to their final end.
And the air, water and sand sigh pleading

Sea & Sky
(michel legrand / harold david shaper)
The sea goes on forever
The sky goes on forever
Its all a vast unmeasured shore
If you just think about it
The waves are always sighin
The sea birds always cryin
Where time means nothing anymore
If I could I would take up the sea
Join hands with the sky
Id melt with the shore
Theyre part of all I adore
And all the love we will share
One moment more, ooh, yeah, yeah, yeah
Ahh, the sea goes on forever
The sky goes on forever
Its something no-one can deny
If they go on forever
And they go on forever
Then why not you and i?
Like sea and sky
Sea and sky
Sea and sky

For music
ALONG the shore, along the shore
I see the wavelets meeting:
But thee I see--ah, never more,
For all my wild heart's beating.
The little wavelets come and go,
The tide of life ebbs to and fro,
Advancing and retreating:
But from the shore, the steadfast shore,
The sea is parted never:
And mine I hold thee evermore,
Forever and forever.
Along the shore, along the shore
I hear the waves resounding,
But thou wilt cross them nevermore
For all my wild heart's bounding:
The moon comes out above the tide
And quiets all the billows wide
Her pathway bright surrounding:
Thus on the shore, the dreary shore,
I walk with weak endeavor:
I have thy love's light evermore,
Forever and forever.

Love Eternally
Oh love without ending
As vast as the sea
Oh mercy divine
Forever it will be
Oh infinite grace
It has no end
Eternal redemption
The heavens you'll rend
And all these flow down
From a mountain so high
That it reaches the heavens
And bursts through the sky
When I survey
The heavens above
I'm awed by the vastness
I'm awed by your love
One day i'll stand
On eternities shore
How vast is your love?
I'll guess no more
Only then I'll know
How vast is the sea
Only then I'll know
Love eternally

Sonnet: The Creator
What heart of love infinite and boundless
Had made the world for man and universe,
Replete with all his life's needs in excess,
And will to face all strife when it got worse!
What mind with knowledge unfathomable,
Had dwarfed all creatures into DNA
Making them function in admirable
Ways, specific, timely all night and day!
The secrets of the genomes may be out;
But God controls them ultimately well;
God's existence to man is still in doubt,
Because he can't see Him, heaven or hell!
The Author of the universe rewrites
The fate of every creature, big or small,
With loving care and finesse and recites
His love for man, glory, awaiting all!
Man is a grain of sand upon the shore!
The love of God comes knocking each heart's door!

Oh Where Oh Where Is Love?
Sung by: the tramp and the do-gooders
In a world full of jive,
Full of homicide and suicide,
Theres no room for love and romance.
In a world full of spite
Full of hatefulness and bitterness,
Sincerity dont stand a chance.
And every night I close my eyes
And ask the stars above,
Oh where, oh where, oh where, oh where is love?
Where is love and romance,
And appreciation of storybooks, fairytales
And the ordinary things people did long ago.
Where did it go?
Where is love?
Where is hope?
Where is sympathy and trust?
Where is faith?
Where is joy in simplicity?
And where is regard and respect?
Oh where, oh where is love?
This world is spinning and turning
And my head is full of learning,
But my thoughts keep on returning
To the things I used to know.
I should be stronger,
But my mind continually wanders
And deep inside
A voice keeps crying
Where, oh where is love?
Where is love and romance,
And appreciation of storybooks, fairytales,
And the ordinary things people did long ago?
Where did it go?
In a world full of jive,
Full of homicide and suicide,
Theres no room for love and romance.
In a world full of rape,
Full of hatefulness and bitterness,
Sincerity dont stand a chance.
And every night I close my eyes
And ask the stars above,
Oh where, oh where, oh where, oh where is love?
Where oh where is love?
Where is love?
Where is hope?
Where is sympathy and trust?
Where is faith?
Where is joy and simplicity
And where is regard and respect?
Oh where, oh where is love?
Oh where oh where is love?
Oh where oh where is love?

From Among The Sands On The Shore I Am But A Singe Grain
from among the sands on the shore i am but a single grain
of sand
insignificant
indistinguishable
in fact just like the rest i may just be
nothing
but if you really love me babes, as i have loved you
i will stand out from the rest of those billion grains
i am not a single grain anymore
i shall become
your sun your universe
