Comrade Ganesh
Wards off our woes, worries plentitude
Accomplishing His support the First Lord

Tank banks and road-side
On the hill, down the hill
Unafflicted by inclemency
Even amid the river in a temple

Embodied a wood, paper, clay or a stone
Installed anywhere as one wishes
Comes along one's life He alone

At Nightfall
The dark is coming o'er the world, my playmate,
And the fields where poplars stand are very still,
All our groves of green delight have been invaded,
There are voices quite unknown upon the hill;
The wind has grown too weary for a comrade,
It is keening in the rushes spent and low,
Let us join our hands and hasten very softly
To the little, olden, friendly path we know.
The stars are laughing at us, O, my playmate,
Very, very far away in lonely skies,
The trees that were our friends are strangers to us,
And the fern is full of whispers and of sighs.
The sounds we hear are not what we may share in,
We may not linger where the white moths roam,
We must hasten yet more swiftly, little playmate,
To the house among the pines that is our home.
The dark is creeping closer yet, my playmate,
And the woods seem crowding nearer as we go,
Oh, how very, very bold have grown the shadows,
They may touch us as they flutter to and fro!
The silence is too dreadful for our laughter,
The night is very full of strange alarms,
But it cannot hurt us now, O, little playmate,
One more step and we are safe in mother's arms!

Back up the Hill
As I walked down to the river today
I met a man with no legs in a chair
we spoke about life and he stood tall in a way
as I walked down to the river
As I walked on I met a blind girl
who gave me directions just over the hill
for someone like me who was lost she could see
as I walked on to the river
Down by the banks I met a small child
whose mother and father had recently died
and he splashed around with a heartful of life
down by the banks of the river
As I looked in the river I saw a young man
a reflection of me if you understand
who thought he would end it as he coudn't cope
as I looked into the river
Considering the people I met on the way
they didn't give up I heard myself say
and though I believed that I'd been through the mill
I laughed at the river, and walked back up the hill.

Trees and Plants
Plants and trees
So green so green
The kitchen is the leaf
And the root is the chief
They give us flowers to decorate
And also to celebrate
They give us paper from their wood
And they are found in the woods
With their help we can make whatever we want
From a rubberband to a pant
We don't need to pay tax or fees
To borrow from our lovely trees
They protect us from diseases
That would make us ill
All the carbondioxide
They always take in
Some people cut trees
For things like table and chair
Not knowing what pollution
They are doing to the air
Forests are turning from green to brown
Animals' faces are always with a frown
So let's make this place from brown to green
By planting more saplings and trees

Prayer To Ganesh
Hey Ganesh,
You're the sun to bestow
A spectrum blossoming into a rainbow
Of powers soothing like the moon's glow
May our prayers on You dawn to flow
Providentially in lives that follow
May our obstacles be treaded low low
May our endeavours prospect to grow grow
Hey Ganesh,
You're the sun sanguine
Risen to erode our distress pain
Closer You are our woes decline
More the sun eerieness be slain
You look grey benign
Around us a brighter shine
Clad in white You're so fine
Hey Ganesh,
You're multinamed, multiformed
Yet formless too; beyond this world
Macrocosm is You spread
Incomprehensible, yet do comprehend
Be You the first sound
And the creation then evolved
Ganas the microcosms; Ganesh their God
Hey Ganesh,
Elephant-headed You with moon on forehead
Capacious belly on with netted trunk curved
Broken tusk and eyes red
Weaponed arms with noose and goad
Blessing arms granting boon and guard
Fanning ears with a body broad
Bonded with a shrew pervading globe around
Praise to your presence blissful
From turmeric to clay pliable wonderful
Shape to shape adorable meaningful
Preserved or permeated ritual willful
Our litanies Your heartful
Our oblations plentiful
May You be with us fully full
Perennially to favour the needful
Hey Ganesh, Jai Ganesh, Jai Ganesh
Omnipresent, wealth and victory be Thou zestful

Banks have a new image. Now you have 'a friend,' your friendly banker. If the banks are so friendly, how come they chain down the pens?
The Dying Soldier
Yes! raise me on your arm, Dick Dale,
My comrade old and true.
And let me of the glad earth take
One last and lingering view.
When yet a few brief moments more
Of this flittering hour have fled,
You’ll shed an old friend's tear, Dick Dale,
Above your comrade's head.
We fought together, side by side,
In many a bloody fray,
From Malvern Hill's dark hour of strife,
To fierce Antietam's day.
And when again the 'long roll' calls,
For battle to prepare,
You will not fail the flag, Dick Dale,
But I shall not be there.
You will not soon forget me, Dick!
I know it by that sigh;
I know it by those tears that shine
In your half averted eye.
But my dear old comrade's heart will swell,
I know with honest pride,
When he thinks that for the grand old flag,
His old companion died.
Cut off this light brown lock, Dick Dale,
For the girl that waits at home.
Yes! Hoping waits her soldier love,
Who never more can come.
'Twill soothe perhaps her bleeding heart
To know that watched by you,
The boy she loved, at least has died,
With one who loved him too.
You'll visit all the quaint old nooks
We sought when we were boys,
And thoughts of me will come, Dick Dale,
With thoughts of childhood's joys;
And when you reach the old playground
Where once you used to play,
You’ll not forget your friend, Dick Dale,
In his lone grave far away.

A lane in England
In autumn I walked in England
in a lane full of trees
where leaves lay auburn
on a road wet from rain.
Barren, stripped oak trees
were between other green ones
and it was as if I was going
right through a tunnel
with here and there trees
of which the leaves were more yellow.
In the distance the road bended to the right
where a bush fence
cut neatly square
and telephone poles
ran along the edge of the road
and the green moss banks
were covered with auburn leaves
at places
and on the other side
of the road
a shrub stretched out green and long
like a sausage
that was lying next to the road
and I would love
to have a lane like that
next to my driveway.

The Reverie of Poor Susan
At the corner of Wood Street, when daylight appears,
Hangs a Thrush that sings loud, it has sung for three years:
Poor Susan has passed by the spot, and has heard
In the silence of morning the song of the Bird.
Tis a note of enchantment; what ails her? She sees
A mountain ascending, a vision of trees;
Bright volumes of vapour through Lothbury glide,
And a river flows on through the vale of Cheapside.
Green pastures she views in the midst of the dale,
Down which she so often has tripped with her pail;
And a single small cottage, a nest like a dove's,
The one only dwelling on earth that she loves.
She looks, and her heart is in heaven: but they fade,
The mist and the river, the hill and the shade:
The stream will not flow, and the hill will not rise,
And the colours have all passed away from her eyes!

Up On The Hill
We come from a long line of lenders
Who get rich just exploiting you spenders
But now we just manage our blenders
Up, up, up on the hill
It helps to be charming and funny
Have cute names like binky and bunny
But the main things still oodles of money
Up, up, up on the hill
Up on the hill we are the big cheeses
Up on the hill we own the cool breezes
Top of the heap is where we know we belong
Up on the hill above the confusion
Up on the hill we live our illusions
Up, up, up on the hill
Marmalade mansions beneath cloudless skies
Breathtaking vistas that baffle your eyes
Were passing our days in a rare atmosphere
Sun, sea, and stars, and warm breezes all year
Our blood is decidedly blue-ish
Were leery of anything newish
And or course, darling, nobodys jewish
Up, up, up on the hill
Up on the hill we are the big cheeses
Up on the hill we own the cool breezes
The top of the heap is where we know we belong
Up on the hill above the confusion
Up on the hill we live our illusions
Up, up, up on the hill
Up, up, up on the hill
Way up, up, up on the hill

Coyote
Coyote goes to the top of the hill
Doin the things the coyotes will
Staring at the sky, at the moon
You know he starts to howl
Coyote goes to the mountain top
Looks over down at the river, says what a drop
No tame dogs is gonna take my born
Coyote at the top of the hill
Doin the things the coyotes will
You gotta cast the first stone
Cast the first stone
Jackal goes to the top of the hill
Doin the things that jackals will
Staring at the moon
You know he starts to howl
Wild dog up on mountain top
Blood in his jaws, the bone, he drops
No tame dogs is ever
Ever gonna take my bone
Jackal up on the top of the hill
Doin the things that jackals will
Cast the first stone
Cast the first stone
Coyote on top of the hill
Ooohhh, doin the things the coyotes will
Staring at the sky, looks at the moon
He starts to howl
Coyote up on the mountain top
Blood in his jaws, the bone, he drops
Says no tame dogs is ever
Ever gonna take this bone
Coyote up on the mountain top
Says what a drop
You gotta cast the first stone
Cast the first stone
Cast the first stone
You gotta cast the first stone

The Friendly Ranger At Clontarf Castle
The friendly ranger paused
And scooping a bowl of beans
Spreading them like stars
Falling like justice on different scenes
Im damned
Indeed, comrade
Im being bombed
And all the peoples faces turned strawberry blonde
By the morning gate the friendly ranger waits
For the sun making sure its not late
Just in time no need to fear well, just in case
And all the people are happy for another year
And in the evening shade he climbs upon the sun
Getting its glow
He goes on
Singing this song
To feel the goodness glowing inside
To walk down a street with my arms about your hips, side by side
To play with a sad eyed child till he smiles
To look at a starry sky at night, realize the miles
To see the sun set behind the steeple
Clontarf castle, no king, queen or knightly people
A coal fire and its pouring rain
To wave goodbye to a very good friend, never meet again
Little thoughts bring little memories of you to me

It Is Not...
it is not the language
but the thought
it is not the house but
those who live in it
it is not the road
but the car and the drivers
the passengers too
it is not the ship
but those waving hands
it is not the school building
but the students and teachers
deep in their mission
for more
it is not the church structure
but the pilgrims
in prayer
it is not this Earth
but us
it is not the River
but the bather
it is not the paper
but the words that you write in them
it is not the pen
neither the ink
it is you and your memories
it is not the feet and hands
but your distance
the journey
the things that you create
along this
path
this hill and mountain
that cloud and
sun

The Very First Christmas with my Husband
2008 is the most wonderful year for me, the ever blessed by God,
The very first Christmas with my husband, truly, be very glad!
Morning, afternoon and evening dwells through European breeze,
Snow flakes in Romania might be at the deepest, coolest freeze!
Making wishes that I have to write with my red and green journal,
Love and green pine trees, symbolism at it...too inspirational!
Joy, triumph and bliss to embrace, within the list of accomplishment,
Gift of endless love and commitment are here for endearment.
Christmas is an enormous call for me to share with my husband,
The birth of Jesus Christ traces the path of a family in holy, new land.
Comparable to my life, as I prayed for so long...a wish...so very tight,
To be with someone, as I call my own...my husband, and be might!
Dreams come true, on this remarkable, joyful and peaceful season...
The very first Christmas with my Daniel, God dwells us for reason!

The Landskip
How pleas'd within my native bowers
Erewhile I pass'd the day!
Was ever scene so deck'd with flowers?
Were ever flowers so gay?
How sweetly smil'd the hill, the vale,
And all the landskip round!
The river gliding down the dale!
The hill with beeches crown'd!
But now, when urg'd by tender woes,
I speed to meet my dear,
That hill and stream my zeal oppose,
And check my fond career.
No more, since Daphne was my theme,
Their wonted charms I see:
That verdant hill, and silver stream,
Divide my love and me.

Papa Is Transcendent
That tranquil hill and the rippling river
Serene at both sides of the road
We hand in hand walking faster
To that temple to worship its Lord
Sitting for a while on the sliding steps
Down to the river from inside the temple
Then prostrating before the Lord with our prayers
Next going round the sanctorum nine times ample
Coming out and again prostrating
Before the flag-mast in acceptance of His Blessings
Coming back home to sit next to you
Enjoying the supper mom served us
And before bed, still clinging to you
To listen to you on stars and stories
Under the open sky at night were in repeats.
When cold morn dawned one day in shivers
Papa, you became still to give me tears.
You were dead and transcendent.
Memories are haunting me. Please come back, papa.

The Moon is a Painter
He coveted her portrait.
He toiled as she grew gay.
She loved to see him labor
In that devoted way.
And in the end it pleased her,
But bowed him more with care.
Her rose-smile showed so plainly,
Her soul-smile was not there.
That night he groped without a lamp
To find a cloak, a book,
And on the vexing portrait
By moonrise chanced to look.
The color-scheme was out of key,
The maiden rose-smile faint,
But through the blessed darkness
She gleamed, his friendly saint.
The comrade, white, immortal,
His bride, and more than bride—
The citizen, the sage of mind,
For whom he lived and died.

Honkytonkville
Thought Id go crazy when you said goodbye
I didnt have that far to go
But I made a wrong turn somewhere in the night
Down a long and lonely road
Chorus:
To Honkytonkville, an ideal
Home away from home sweet home
Honkytonkville where I dont feel
A thing since youve been gone
Where the futures always bright
In the glow of neon lights
Livin high on Barstool Hill in Honkytonkville
Theres friendly faces everywhere I turn
Droppin quarters in the slot
Lord knows that weve all got memories to burn
And thats why that jukebox plays around the clock
Repeat Chorus
Livin high on Barstool Hill in Honkytonkville

Money Does Matter Sentimentally
In the pathless darkness stumbles the heart
Stammers to a figureless somebody
Looks into the farther space for help
Pregnant with woes, in a flash
Remembers the returnless days of sentiments..
Atonce offers an oblation to the deity -
An yellow cloth pouched with coins
Prays and prayers infused, obstacles preyed
Wishes blessed, woes warded off..
Trust!
Just does that coined turmeric- pouch
Then atlast surrendering the divine treasury
Sentimentally blessing one ofcourse!
