Do You Know The Muffin Man?

Do You Know the Muffin Man
who visits every morn
who nothing does as nothing can
while ripening the corn?

wafting smells of syrup dreams
he teases on the breeze
but all is not just how it seems
beneath, we feel diss-ease.

The Muffin Man will steal the souls
of children by the score.
If they don't drain their cereal bowls,
he'll squeeze them to the core.

Don't let him fool you with his smile
his carefree happy dance,
if e'er you see him, run a mile
he only needs one chance

He preys upon the people who
would waste their breakfast fare,
so lick the bowl when you are through
or of the Muffin Man...beware.

Mister Muffin Tucker

That's right.
That's what I like to call myself.
Mister Muffin Tucker.
You can call me Muffin,
When I get to stuffin'.
But don't call me rough...
Before I get deep inside your stuff.

That's right.
That's what I like to call myself.
Mister Muffin Tucker.
You'll be the one huffin' and puffin'
When you find out I'm not bluffin'.
And when I get done...
You just might end up the only one,
I'll muffin tucker for!
And that depends,
On how well you bake and shake your cookies.

When That Muffin Is Gone

When the muffin has been eaten,
It is gone.
To savor the flavor and taste of it,
Doesn't last very long,
When that muffin is gone.

Sweet Potato Muffin Cake

Sweet potato muffin cake,
What is it going to take...
For you to let me get,
Another hug and squeeze?

I promise the next time,
Not to sneeze and cough.
My allergies flared up...
Just when you took your sweater off.
Who knew I was allergic to cashmere?

Sweet potato muffin cake,
What is it going to take...
For you to let me get,
Another hug and squeeze?

Now that you know,
Cashmere and I do not agree...
Perhaps you will give me,
Another opportunity?

Look Who's Dancing

Look who's dancing
Look who's dancing
Look who's dancing now
Look who's dancing
oh look who's dancing
Look who's dancing now
Well, first the dance floor
was like a forbidden land
where people would never dare to go
but now everyone's doing it
I said it's a dance galore
Look who's dancing
Look who's dancing
Look who's dancing now
Look who's dancing
oh look who's dancing
Look who's dancing now
And some are dancing on their feet
some are jumping off the floor
and look at old Granny "B"
she got the, she caught the, she knows the groove for sure
Look who's dancing
Look who's dancing
Look who's dancing now, right around
Look who's dancing
who is dancing
Look who's dancing now, get on the floor
(groove section)
Look who's dancing
Look who's dancing
Look who's dancing now, around the world
Look who's dancing
oh look who's dancing
Look who's dancing now
And some are dancing on their feet
some are jumping off the floor
and look at old Tauter him
he got the, he got the, he got the, he got the beat for sure
Look who's dancing
Look who's dancing
Look who's dancing now
Look who's dancing
check the dancing
Look who's dancing now, get on the floor
(groove section)
Do the ska, the rock steady, the ridim and blues
and if you catch them, then you do the della move
it nuh mek nuh sense to sit down, when you know you can goove
any type of danve you do, you neither win or lose
And if your choice is reggae, you don't need nuh dancing shoes
suh listen to the message, and you know you won't lose
look who come, come dancing pow we dancing floor again
some a dem a enemy, some a dem a friend
Some a dem a mother and father, some a dem a children
some a dem a loafer who a follow the trend
and some a dem a just dey ya as we good brethen
That's why we ruff, ruff, ruff, ruff and rugged
ruff, ruff, ruff, ruff and rugged

That's why we ra ra ragga

that's why we flash certain dancing style, it sound well wicked
if a guy woulda really try, so you know him stupid

our faith in jah jah man, it well, well, well solid
so pray every day and ask for strenght and knowledge
that's why we ruff, ruff, ruff, ruff and rugged

The Two Old Bachelors

Two old Bachelors were living in one house;
One caught a Muffin, the other caught a Mouse.
Said he who caught the Muffin to him who caught the Mouse,--
'This happens just in time! For we've nothing in the house,
'Save a tiny slice of lemon nd a teaspoonful of honey,
'And what to do for dinner -- since we haven't any money?
'And what can we expect if we haven't any dinner,
'But to loose our teeth and eyelashes and keep on growing thinner?'

Said he who caught the Mouse to him who caught the Muffin,--
'We might cook this little Mouse, if we had only some Stuffin'!
'If we had but Sage andOnion we could do extremely well,
'But how to get that Stuffin' it is difficult to tell'--

Those two old Bachelors ran quickly to the town
And asked for Sage and Onions as they wandered up and down;
They borrowed two large Onions, but no Sage was to be found
In the Shops, or in the Market, or in all the Gardens round.

But some one said, -- 'A hill there is, a little to the north,
'And to its purpledicular top a narrow way leads forth;--
'And there among the rugged rocks abides an ancient Sage,--
'An earnest Man, who reads all day a most perplexing page.
'Climb up, and seize him by the toes! -- all studious as he sits,--
'And pull him down, -- and chop him into endless little bits!
'Then mix him with your Onion, (cut up likewise into Scraps,)--
'When your Stuffin' will be ready -- and very good: perhaps.'

Those two old Bachelors without loss of time
The nearly purpledicular crags at once began to climb;
And at the top, among the rocks, all seated in a nook,
They saw that Sage, a reading of a most enormous book.

'You earnest Sage!' aloud they cried, 'your book you've read enough in!--
'We wish to chop you into bits to mix you into Stuffin'!'--

But that old Sage looked calmly up, and with his awful book,
At those two Bachelors' bald heads a certain aim he took;--
and over crag and precipice they rolled promiscuous down,--
At once they rolled, and never stopped in lane or field or town,--
And when they reached their house, they found (besides their want
of Stuffin',)
The Mouse had fled; -- and, previously, had eaten up the Muffin.

They left their home in silence by the once convivial door.
And from that hour those Bachelors were never heard of more.

Punky's Dilemma

Wish I was a Kellogg's Cornflake
Floatin' in my bowl takin' movies
Relaxin' a while, livin' in style
Talkin' to a raisin who 'casionally plays L.A.
Casually glancing at his toupee
Wish I was an English muffin
'Bout to make the most out of a toaster
I'd ease myself down
Comin' up brown
I prefer boysenberry
More than any ordinary jam
I'm a "Citizens for Boysenberry Jam" fan
Ah, South California
If I become a first lieutenant
Would you put my photo on your piano?
"To Maryjane-
Best wishes, Martin"
(Old Roger draft-dodger

Everybody knows what he's

Muffins To Eat

Eat a muffin, place a cake for breakfast,
And chew on that methane for instance;
A monthly monitoring service is needed,
Moisture devastates the loyal offering.
Pitch darkness summoned me after losing me,
Sacrifice the reverence of a life and existence.
May the buds of dearness stay,
Might the mighty arrows be displayed.
I covet the disorder of ages and lives,
And muffins of cakes bleed dry.

Walk This Way

Backstroke lover always hidin' 'neath the covers
"Gonna talk to you" my daddy say
said "you ain't seen nothin' till youre down on a muffin
and you're sure to be achangein' your ways"
I met a cheerleader
was a real young bleeder all the times I could reminisce
'cause the best things in lovin' with a sister and a cousin
only started with a little kiss alike this!

Seesaw swingin' with the boys in the school
and your feet flyin{ up in the air
I sing "Hey diddle diddle"
with your kitty in the middle of the swing
like you didn't care
took a big chance at the high school dance
with a missy who was ready to play
was a me she was foolin'
'cause she knew what she was doin'
and I know'd love was here to stay
when she told me to

CHORUS walk this way

Boss Of The Nethers

The cupped cervix sat
on the coffee table.
We tried not to stare,
like our pupils would get fried by its brightness.

Perhaps my ex-wife left it as a reminder of the time
when human beings had hips, back when we had bodies.

Yes, that was fun-a cupcake of breeze disintegrating
on our cheeks, a banana muffin undressing in our nostrils,

but bodies broke down too,
and things are easier now.

Strange, how we see further without eyeballs. Our eyes tricked us
into thinking a wall was something not be seen through.

Mouths got in the way
of saying what needed saying.

When they were invented
mouths were only supposed to be used in emergencies,

but we couldn't resist,
which made god so mad

he ripped our ear in half,
and still we didn't listen.

Cloudy

The sky is gray and white and cloudy
Sometimes I think it's hanging down on me
And it's a hitchhike a hundred miles
I'm a raga-muffin child
Pointed finger-painted smile
I left my shadow waiting down the road for me a while
Cloudy
My thoughts are scattered and they're cloudy
They have no boreders, no boundaries
They echo and they swell
From Tolstoi to Tinkerbell
Down from Berkeley to Carmel
Got some pictures in my pocket and a lot of time to kill
Hey sunshine
I haven't seen you in a long time
Why don't you show your face and bend my mind?
These clouds stick to the sky
Like a floating question why
And they linger there to die
They don't know where they are going, and, my friend, neither do I

ET Came To Breakfast (Fun Poem 10)

My breakfast was going snap, crackle and pop,
when suddenly in the chair opposite something went plop.
I looked across the table and was astonished to see,
a little green man looking at me.
I blinked a couple of times,
even pinched myself to make sure it was real.
He was, you can believe,
and my breakfast he was trying to steal.
We pulled at the bowl,
no one getting the upper hand,
and then he stuck his finger in the bowl,
and sucked out the blinking lot,
milk and my snap, crackle and pop.

The moral of this story.
If a little green man comes to breakfast,
Get an extra bowl.

Old Old Woodstock

Oh dont it get you
Get you when youre through
Feel the breezes blowing all around your coat
Oh dont it get you
When you gotta roam
Hear the children singing
daddys coming home
Going down to old old woodstock
Feel the cool night breeze
Going down to old old woodstock
Going down to give my baby a squeeze
Going down to old old woodstock
Feel the cool night breeze
Going down to old old woodstock
Way behind the shady trees
Here I come a swaggering
Way on over the ridge
See the water flowing way beneath the bridge
And my womans waiting
By the kitchen door
Im driving along
In my old beat up car
Going down to old old woodstock
Feel the cool night breeze
Going down to old old woodstock
Give my child a squeeze
Going down to old old woodstock
To feel the cool night breeze
Going down to old old woodstock
Way behind the shady trees
Listen, oh dont it get you
Get you in your throat
Feel the breezes blowing
All around your coat
Lord dont it get you
When youre bound to roam
Hear your children sing
daddys coming home
Going down to old old woodstock
To feel the cool night breeze
Give my child a squeeze
Going down to old old woodstock
To feel the cool night breeze
Going down to old old woodstock
Way behind the shady trees
Going down to old old woodstock.....

Sweet Lady Mary

(wood, stewart, lane)
Sweet lady mary has to rest her poor head
Wakes in the morning with her breakfast in bed
I tried to help her, but I did not know how
I tried to love her, but its all over now
Nothing left to comfort me, except a sunny day
Steal away, steal away
Over the stones along the dusty old road
With every footstep one more tale is told
With every turning one more side to see
Sweet lady marys seen the last of me
A lesson is learnt, Ill never come this way again
Ill steal away, steal away
Her spanish habits are so hard to forget
The lady lied with every breath, I accept
Was a matter of time before my face did not fit
I knew all along Id have to quit.
Anyway now, I better not waste anymore of your time
Ill steal away, steal away
I think Ill go back home and start all again
Where the gulf stream waters tend to ease the pain
And on a new day when Ive mended the wound
Sweet lady marys gate I swear Ill be bound
But before I sit down again and waste anymore of your time
I better steal away, steal away
Ooh-hoo
Steal away-ay.

A Blank Sheet

pick the crayons
and color
those empty spaces
on the clean
sheet of paper
beside you
under your
lamp shade
tonight

draw the rainbows
in your mountains
sprinkle it with rain
make the clouds
blue and fill the
rivers with the color
of its waters

sing a tune
give your world
a beautiful sound

spray some perfume
on that paper
to give your world
the scent of musk
and muffin
